Finished the both games on stock nightmare and personally i find eternal much more engaging. In TDA I have finished multiple fights by just spamming piercer/shredder without feeling any resistance.

My argument here is that Eternal had a lot of buttons to press, sure, but its neat I guess.

I thinks its thanks to the speed and the loop that I felt like a god when pulling off a crazy kill streak on demons in eternal. TDA was about standing in their faces and hitting them with the nails in the head and parrying once every fee years

Hi everybody!

I have non usual question about the game. I always play on TV connected to PC through HDMI. And in all games in Nvidia Control Panel i cap 60 FPS limit and turn on Vsync. It's only way to have Vsync when frame generation enabled on non Gsync/FreeSync TV.

But in Doom Dark Ages it works very weird - large input lag and jumping fps.

Is it a way to achieve Vsync + frame generation without crazy input lag, at least without jumping framerate?

pretty sure alot of that is caused by using a tv due to tvs having slower refresh rates than a monitor, maybe just try without having them on though i could be wrong

If you ever feel like it, you can tune the game to your liking. I turned off slo mo, turned on autosprint, and play on 120% speed

in my opinion, options are always just better. And i understand certain games and their ideologies of this like souls games sort of being a "get good or get out" situation. But despite all that I think games like the dark ages allowing you to just fully customize everything is great.

i purposefully made certain things harder on myself. Like I made the parry window as small as possible due to the fact I was confident in my parry ability but i kept everything else pretty much normal mode. I believe I had the amount of health and shield I gain from health drops and shield drops was decreased as well. Those three were about it for what I changed.

I pretty much just made it to where parries have to be super tight and I had to be good with them to not drop so much health because I wasnt gaining a whole lot from health and shield drops

so i just made my run super parry focused and a sort of urgent need to not get hit too much because how much i gain back I had lowered pretty significantly. it was fun and challenging.
