well you're gonna have to parry a few attacks, there's no getting around that
but chainshot or ssg are both really good against armored enemies
fully upgraded SSG does heavy damage to armor. just shield charge them and then SSG blast, should either compltely heat the armor or just about do it
Also glad to know we are getting both master levels soon and also ripatorium updates in the coming months

when you flood the arena with a bunch of enemies, you really start to gain an appreciation for how annoying the superheavies' projectile attacks are

They removed the mace's extra ammo when it's used for a glory strike animation, so that's a pretty huge nerf. Otherwise now it just works as intended since they fixed the falter after upgrading

One accessability feature I'd like to see expanded on are projectile recolors. We already have them for parryables, but some options bland them in with specific enemy attacks.

it also made me realize that cybers and aggadons are the two most dangerous enemies in the game by far when you aren't able to dedicate 100% of your attention to them
cyberdemons have their unlimited range ground spikes, as well as their tracking skull and unavoidable hitscan as soon as you make eye contact with them
and aggadons have that absurdly annoying triple skull attack and that random ass un-parryable ranged projectile that they just sling at you whenever

One reviewer said they thought Doom was above this lowest common denominator stuff and I completely agree. The Atlan and Dragon are spectacle content that start and stop there. There is no depth to them at all.

the dragon sections I'm not really a fan of, but the mech is a fun little occasional pace breaker
I'd rather do that than eternal's protracted platforming sections (not that I hate those, but I still don't mind the mech over them)
The issue is speed, they're just so so sluggish and the enemies are the same "YOU SEE GREEN YOU PRESS BUTTON" the atlan and dragon are the same kind of gameplay. I was expecting some kind of pursuit mission on the dragon
Just make sure to forward it to Horde
final battle felt kinda underwhelming to me bc there was no actual arenas and just an 8 minute atlan section followed by 2 bossfights
I will say for what the dragon sections are, at least they're pretty quick
i like them for map traversal
In Ultra Nightmare I put the settings on easy mode and higher game speed just to skip them
but they are sluggish in repeat playthroughs
dragon is tied to lore and used as traversal between slayer sections, its cool

Alot of enemies do have weaknesses and stuff about them you can read about in the terminal at the start of each level and befire each boss

Thats fair it can be really hard to get the hang of it, but thats why the sandbox and cybergrind are there to practice
there's a changelog available online
like I can mentally project health, Behavior, enemy damage and attack patterns
ultrakill is harder to do that for me
a lot of strategy can also be tied to the style meter too
Work on getting better at movement and you figure out the rest
maybe its my fault for chainsawwing every enemy
Sliding a lot is key to high rank for example
I mean ultrakill is prett similar to dark ages in the sense that you can kinda just do whatever is fun to you and you dont have to get too into the strategy part

just cause its not tied directly to guns doesnt mean there isnt a strat for each enemy type

I'm currently encountering a glitch where the low ammo warning pops up when my plasma gun is barely even halfway empty.
you can fill the enemy count up but just bias it more towards fodder and heavies
im sure ppl will come up with some great enemy selection and stuff for the ripatorium
because superheavies can be absolutely lethal at range
