I'd recommend a Ryzen 5 7600, it's the best value for money CPU on the market right now. It's very cheap and very powerful, but you need to make sure your motherboard can take it. If not you'd have to swap the mb out too.
Don't feel pressured into replacing everything at once, I did a full PC rebuild recently and started with just replacing the mb, cpu and ram, and then I bought the rest of the parts as time went on whenever I could afford them

New GPU was the last thing I bought lol, had a really up to date system and was still rocking a gtx 1060

From personal game dev experience; developers are damned if they do and damned if they don't when it comes to announcing patches of this nature; people already get accustomed to the game as-is, but it makes no sense to leave the patch for much later and also to announce it since it would cause a streisand effect drawing gamers who will have already got used to how it is

They must have a lot of analytical services running in the game to justify making changes responding to emerging behaviours that could never be QA tested with a much smaller group of testers.

Not being an apologist for the devs, I would have preferred them not to do this if it's true, but it sounds like some higher-ups are pushing this kind of practice to make the game more accessible for gamepass players that haven't built a history of skill with FPS games (Essentially trying to reduce friction for the average joe), but loyalists of the series like yourself do get affected because of it.

i think finishing move did an amazing job with the music, i have it on repeat on my tidal playlist, phenomenal tracks.
