same, my first ever doom game was 2016 and ngl when i first started playing it a few months ago i initially considered stopping playing, the movement felt weird and i found the combat odd, but after a bit i started to get used to it and found it really fun, eternal was a struggle at first but super fun too, i found the movement aspect fun except for when i got stuck in a corner

i loved having to constantly move and dash around, but getting cornered by pinkies or mancubi was awful
