How well would TDA run on a RX9070 XT? AMD is not that good at RT performance which is why I'm not sure it would run well. On the other hand upgrading to a 5080 that costs twice as much is also not desirable

Well, indy for example was not a really heavy game for RT cards unless you had enough VRAM. You should be able to run the game in 4k60.

Even my rtx 4060 laptop with 8gb vram runs indy really good. I have every setting in ultra, except shadows and textures that are on medium so i wont go over 8gb. And hair is on low. I get at least 80 fps in 1080p dlss quality in open areas, and up to 144 inside tombs

And the 4060 is not the best raytracing card either

QC for me failed because no campaign, i just didnt care about it

2016 didnt' have a proper deathmatch and had to balance around stupid load outs

Eternal, i played this to death personally, had a steep learning curve. The slayer you played in the campaign was also nothing like the battlemode slayer

I asked for a "BattleMode Slayer" campaign mode for years but it didn't happen. Tried to even mod it but never got far

i could go on, but the average player was just unprepared for the nerfed slayer, and gave up pretty quickly

but i htink there is room for a Marauder/Demons Versus Sentinels/Robots(or whatever) in the future

It is specifically mentioned that Hell has never met the Sentinels before Doomguy arrived at Sentinel Prime.

However keep in mind Doom 3 - it introduced the Martians, who are essentially Sentinels, and while that is in a different Earthly Realm, it did have the Martians encounter demons before their Hero, probably Doomguy, showed up to help.

It's interesting, but personally I find it misled to place a lame throwaway texture for a joke as having more credibility than four audio logs describing the Slayer at length. IMO by far the best answer for Eternal's date is 2163. The "30 year anniversary" thing is a dumb nonsense joke IMO and I find it easier to ignore this than to ignore Elena's logs.
