Specifically in checkpoint gaming's gameplay vid, they have some neat variation in regards for the music. Like when the tyrant pops out, some chunky bass plays that sounds like e1m2, "The imps song", or at 3:54 it sounds like an intense orchestral track. Also of course the "into sandy's city" reference and the banger main menu.

Hundred percent. There is that scene of the armoured Titan throwing an Atlan and that takes place in a Sentinel city around late afternoon. If Siege is a two parter like Khalim, then it might span a few hours in game time

I’ve a few more questions about the music actually; are the tracks that played in the opening cutscene brand new or have we heard them before? I had a running hypothesis that Unchained Predator would have been the E1M1 replacement, scoring a cinemation (a cutscene that can be interacted with), but with the embargo lifting and more complete tracks partially available to the public, Unchained Predator seems like it scores a whole level rather than just an intro cutscene. Is Khalim, Hebeth, or the floating city scored by Unchained Predator, Infernal Chasm or new tracks entirely? What can we expect from cutscene music; ambience or dedicated tracks?

Mars Core is a complete suite with motifs that appear in Khan Maykr, so I bet Mars Core was meant to be in game and the hypothetical OST, but Asteroids & Rockets was supposed to stay in the bin). I am confident that a little snippet of Message for the Arch-Vile appears in Asteroids & Rockets though

There’s a lot of validity to that. The main combat suites for DOOM Hunter Base seem like an early version of Cultist Base that was meant to go rejected. Two versions of the Consumption motif appear in the game files (one that was meant to appear in the Blood Harvester level and the other as an alt combat theme for The Super Gore Nest), as well as the E3 SGN ambience but curiously not the accompanying 264bpm combat suite; that was excised from the game entirely. Again, because Mars Core shares motifs with Khan Maykr, I believe strongly it was meant to be the Mars surface combat theme, but it was overshadowed by Asteroids & Rockets, which - as a suite - is far less complete than Mars Core. The final arena that plays the main Super Gore Nest combat theme was a last minute decision, as, for whatever reason, the Mars surface combat stems weren’t working with that section. The Arrival On Mars stem that appears for a brief moment in DOOM Hunter Base and was meant to accompany the crash landing sequence was almost totally erased from the game. Thankfully, Mick broadcast a complete mix on his COVID Livestream. The worst is of course the Into Sandy’s City outro that was meant to play in the final cutscene, was cut, but ended up in the game files AND the CE OST. Personally, I’ve avoided dealing with these tracks entirely; they went unpaid but appeared in game anyway, so I’ve tried to avoid platforming them.
