Eh, I mostly see people with genuine opinions, not hate. Lot of the ones who dislike TDA are old school Doom fans. I can understand why the new games might not resonate with them. The Devs are attempting to pull elements from the classics and make it feel more Doom than before, so maybe it’ll win over some older fans. Regardless, I wouldn’t pay mind to the people hating on it. Doom Eternal had the same treatment. It’s different to the franchise so inevitably there’s going to be people who regard it as bad or “not Doom.”

Instead without a multiplayer mode they could focus 100% of their time on singleplayer, which is what pretty much everyone primarily wants in a doom game

Honestly it doesn't matter how good it is, the mp would die regardless. Doom isn't a multiplayer game, most people wouldn't even try it. Also you can't develop a mp mode separately when it's being based off of the campaign. And still, an mp would mean a part of the devs are using resources that could be used on the campaign instead

If they're gonna do a different mode from the campaign, do a horde mode, this time from the start and not a year and a half after the game came out

That's true, and it's probably because there's been such a strong emphasis on the single player part. Deathmatch made Doom & Quake what it is and gave it the longevity to get us to The Dark Ages 🙂 It would be nice if TDA had a strong MP as well as SP.

Unfortunately I don't think having both is possible now, id is actually a pretty small dev team compared to AAA standards. So having both would mean they would need to give 100% love to only one of the modes or 50/50 between the two. Eternal's quality of life suffered a bit because they used some resources on battlemode

Here are my ideas. Doom TDA multiplayer with three modes:
-Death match: with the civil war going on, the Night Sentinels and Marauders are constantly at each other's throats leading to constant skirmishes between the two factions.
-Titan brawl: take control of either an Atlan mech or a demonic titan and go one-on-one against your opponent in a titanic boxing match.
-Dragon racing: mount your dragons and prepare to race across vast battlefields while trying to take down your opponents in high octane bursts of speed.

And 2: the nodes you are referring to were explained in campaign. Its to house the Argent Accumulator that powers the Baaglar's body.
