I believe Sil has commented on that in the past - Discord doesn't log who is deleting a message when it's deleted, so the bot can't determine that and show it either.

I had the same question over a year ago because I wanted a way to not log things that mee6 deletes, like commands that are configured to delete on invoke. But there's no way to do so.

a little more info on that. when a message does get deleted (or other similar actions), the event bots recieve have no information about who actually deleted that message, or triggered the event, only the message itself.

However, it is possible to see who deleted the message if the bot fetches discord's audit logs for that event. though this requires sending many more requests to discord for each of these events. also might not be as possible or more resource intensive on a larger bot like mee6. this is why the other bot does say who deleted it

A big suggestion for us, developpers: in general add webhooks. So, for instance, an incoming webhook would allow anything self-made to send a message, and an outgoing webhook would allow anything to be triggered with a custom command, and get a response as a message. This would certainly be a premium feature.

It would allow to have everything in a single and unique bot.

PS: Couldn't find if MEE6 was open-source, or if it has a wey of contributing to it... 😦

in the Twitch Social Connector have a notification "cooldown" so incase of internet connection problems, or someone testing something, crashes etc - it will not notify every time a streamer goes live and spams the channel. usually people will just mute if they get multiple notifications, and we'd rather prevent that

instead add some logic to the notification backend:

if a notification from X streamer was less than Y minutes ago (as per the setting). ignore
if a notification from X streamer was greater than Y minutes ago. notify

we'd also prefer not to make the channel slow mode and remove privileges from Mee6 because it means other streamers may get missed.

(Edit: to be fair the main ones i want, still god ones for free) Which you only know if you click on premium since when you advertise features you don't mention they aren't available at all. Custom commands: Actions to Give XP (Premium Feature)

For 'Custom commands' plugin can we have one of the 'Actions' be to grant either a fixed number or random number between two values towards user EXP/ranks? As well as, for obvious reasons, add the {given.xp} as a placeholder.

I was making a !lurk command for my players who chat with us in chat but don't type much, with a 24/hr cooldown. Would probably need to be a Premium Feature since it would be pretty much automating !give-xp (which is premium) to a degree. I tried having the bot post to a different channel with the !give-xp {user} 100 but it didn't work.

Not really one for just changing non-pingable names, but when someone joins the server their nickname will automatically be set to a certain thing
It could be under the moderation tab or something
The website already has most of the necessary stuff, all they need to do is get the bot to do it on Discord

Invite tracking is mainly used for invite rewards, so if you invite someone you get a rewards after a while
Sending a invite to a person that didn't ask for it is breaking discord ToS, that is why that will never be added as it encourages users to break discord ToS

yeah i get that, by slow i mean it would be calling the Db alot which could/can cause higher latency. smaller bots in fewer servers wouldn't have such a big a problem as Mee6 in it's 11+ million servers.

I think one of the best updates for MEE6 could be to work on the restricted channel feature. If I could register commands for the other bots in my server ... it would be nice. MEE6 also deletes messages sent by bots even though I have it set to not interfere with other bots. (This is only in restricted channels.) This is just because I want command channels to stay clean in my server. To add ... I have a MEE6 commands channel in my server ... I had it set as restricted ... but then people tried to play the music quiz and it did not work because it immediately deletes the messages. So, maybe when people are playing the music quiz for MEE6 it can recognize it.

So not sure if this falls under invite tracking but it would be cool if we could get a command added which can show you information about a invite. This information could show you who made the invite, are how many users are online in the server at that time, the total member count of the server, which channel the invite points to, which server the invite is for and, maybe, how many times it has been used (but not who has used it). I have attached an example ss of what it could look like, courtesy of the Atlas bot.

The computing power needed to simply run such a bot is immense, and the resources in terms of server rentage is big, which we pay out of our own pocket.
Making the Role Rewards a premium feature is not as a cash grab, but as an attempt of simply keeping the bot online.

Role-rewards
For old servers that added MEE6 BEFORE 9/1/19 to their server role-rewards are free.
For new servers that only recently added MEE6 you will need premium.

We made this change because MEE6 takes a lot of time, maintenance and development, and this is not free.
Premium helps us to support MEE6 and to keep the MEE6 dream going, without it, there wouldnt be a MEE6, as you can't run bots like this for free, its not possible.

We try to keep as much as possible of MEE6 free but this is just not possible.

I feel like that'd be circumventing Discord's deletion, and not encouraged. The bot already logs deleted messages, so if you really want that just make the log channel visible.

The point of deleting it is that it isn't available anymore. What if someone pastes their password accidentally or a picture they didn't want shared? Or a mod deletes something racist that was posted? You shouldn't be able to just quickly summon it right back against their wishes.

Reduce the sensitivity of Zalgo detection: while obviously excessive use of combining diacritics consitutes annoying Zalgo, currently Mee6 will block messages that contain a single combining diacritic. This is a problem because combining diacritics are a really useful way for a user to type accented vowels outside of their keyboard's natively supported set, and therefore a really useful tool in international communication. One server I frequent uses Mee6 and it is a constant annoyance to type something without thinking only to have it removed for the sin of containing non-english words.

Well than maybe do one where you can select a linked feed. So for example, if a certain page posts content. It posts the content it posts. Though, its only for Premium users and if it is miss-used they are removed from MEE6 Premium. Good morning, in addition to the already great reaction roles the MEE6 has, what about adding timed reaction roles in the future. You could set a timer on the role which would be removed from users at a specific time, or even just a timer when the role is added by the user reacting.

Also it might be nice to have reaction role posts be removed and re-posted once each morning (and re-post on that timer, at least for weekdays) so that when a user goes to react, they won't have to react twice (since the emoji might already be selected from the previous day). Thanks!

I'd be interested in a sign-up type post where users will need different roles per day. Suggestion Please add a Random option for the timers. That work within set parameters. Say for example, set timer to send one message every 10-20 hrs.

At the moment if you set multiple timers at 24 hrs. They all send simultaneously. Which isn't exactly desirable a lot of the time.

I just checked out the new statistics component and its nice. There doesn't seem to be an option to count boosts and boost tier, so that would be a nice QOL upgrade.
