The only case where our system doesn’t work is when that verified role allow people to send messages only (ie everyone can see messages, even unverified people). But thats a really rare case

For new servers that only recently added MEE6 you will need premium.

We made this change because MEE6 takes a lot of time, maintenance and development, and this is not free.
Premium helps us to support MEE6 and to keep the MEE6 dream going, without it, there wouldnt be a MEE6, as you can't run bots like this for free, its not possible.

We try to keep as much as possible of MEE6 free but this is just not possible.

It looks bad to have someone who's not welcome in the server anymore be shown on the leaderboards that show the most engaged members. This is especially noticeable for people who are kicked/banned for spamming, as their messages artificially increase their server rank.

Maybe someone already have suggested it, maybe it's a stupid idea.. So please don't judge.
I just recently got the bot, I have seen it around for long but sometimes understanding bots can be a bit complicated.
But mee6 is not that hard to understand even if it will take me some time to learn how everything about it works.

1. When adding music which I understand if fairly new, it takes the music out of YouTube I assume.
Maybe try adding so you can link your "Spotify-account" or similar?

2. Try to divide the music plugins a bit further, so the runner can make different playlists instead of just having one big playlist. me personally likes to sort my music in categories pop/rock and so on instead of just blending them together. Otherwise, I really like the adding of music.

3. I have only played one music quiz, and the songs that were chosen where really old classics, and people in my age and higher sure, they stand a chance (I did not), but younger age? not really sure they could ever figure out the song I got chosen. I will continue to play it, because I couldn't find any info about the different types of music that are selected in that quiz on how big of a time difference there is.

4. The plugin "Custom Commands" I really like. I run a server with the game Ark survival, something I have noticed within that game is RP (Roll-Playing), players are searching for servers with RP in them.
One Discord that I came across with RP had NPCs to roll-play with.
so for the "custom Commands" one thing maybe could be to actually add in some more examples on different fraises then just "Hey, I'm MEE6 the Discord Bot!". to give the moderator some better ideas into using the commands to make MEE6 more part of the server as a NPCs, by adding some "pre-installed" commands to use.
And maybe something that can help with improving roll-playing with the use of BOTs.

These may be ridicules suggestions or silly in any way. But I thought I would at least add them.

I'd like to seen an ability to !disable a command from within Discord instead of needing to open the dashboard, and similarly !enable it when done.
For example, I use a command for verification in my server, and it doesn't happen often but we have had raids where someone comes in and figures out the command, then goes and shares it and we get flooded with people who immediately use the verify command upon joining. If an admin isn't available to shut off the command in the dashboard quickly it can be a real mess. Being able to !disable verify would be a nice way to turn off the !verify command.

I've thought of a suggestion that could be thought to be implemented into the bot!

Suggestion; This has probably heard several times, but I know it would be wonderful to have if it isn't already added onto the bot.

When a user levels up, add a variable called {user.nickname}, or etc, just something that could go off the users nickname in the server. I understand if this may be to expensive to afford, or etc, I just really think it could help a lot of server when it comes to not wanting people bypassing their rules, such as a user levels up and they go by {user.idname} the user may have a bad word that they don't accept in their name, and in which could be considered bypassing their rules.

I suggest an argument where every time it is triggered it like adds 1 to it, like an argument for counting.

Let's say I wanted to have a vote on my server. There are 3 people nominated: Billy, Bob, and Joe. If I were to make a custom command to vote, it would probably be something like this:

{user} has voted for {1}.

What I suggest is to have a channel where numbers, in this case votes, are stored, and to use an argument, such as {1+} to do it.

What I can do with this is set up a command like so:

{user}, your vote has been registered.
Update counter argument in <select channel>
Votes for {1}: {1+}

So if I were to use this command to vote for Bob, I would say !vote Bob. It would then reply by saying "@grizzled lichen, your vote has been registered." It would then send a message in <select channel> saying "Votes for Bob: 1"
If someone else were to vote for Bob after me, instead of sending a new message in that channel, it would instead update the counter argument to say 2.
If someone else were to vote for Billy, it would then send a new message in <select channel> and say "Votes for Billy: 1"

So for example, let's say you have Mudae on your server, maybe you have channels that people are allowed to roll in, but you don't want people to gain experience from spamming commands to the bot, so with how MEE6 is currently implemented, you have to turn off xp generation for those channels. However, it's highly likely that people will still continue to have normal discussions in those channels, but they won't get any xp from chatting there. With the ability to turn off xp for specific prefixes, they could get xp in the channel once more.

This module would be super cool and If it was added, I would likely buy lifetime premium:
Economy. With this you can earn money via admins giving it to you or leveling up. The main commands this would need would be a way to check your money, shop/buy commands, and a daily money command. Some other things this would need is a way to change the currency to a custom emoji, and the ability to add multiple currencies. This would be super epic. This may remind of another bot that has a similar feature, but would make this better would be the ability to have multiple currencies and being able to tie money earning to leveling up. Also a separate suggestion, but I think having xp cleared on a schedule would be a cool feature. In my server, we use Mee6 as a weekly leaderboard.

i dont mean to be critical but i think Premium needs to have more functional things added. I just subscribed bc I appreciate the bot in general and want to help, but as far as anything I've gained for my server with Premium, we won't use probably any of it. We don't need social media stuff and music options, we need more truly functional options that contribute to server functionality. I'm sure some people appreciate the things Premium provides, but I think you'd get a lot more paying customers if more functionality and genuinely necessary features were included with that.

Anyway, that aside, thank you guys for making Mee6. We use it a lot for our gaming server with over 330 members (and growing) and love it. 🙂

I see you're looking to create a verification system, here's what you need to do: Giving and Removing roles

1. You will need 2 roles called "verified" and "not verified" so when people react to the message, they become verified.
You'll need to add the "not verified" role as an auto-role for when people join the server, which you can do in the welcome plugin:

Deny the read messages permission for the "not verified" role, for each channel so they can't see the channels.

4. Go to your MEE6 dashboard https://mee6.xyz/dashboard and select your server, then the Reaction Roles plugin.
In the template provided, select the #Verification channel, and edit the reaction message to your liking.

5. Add some reactions for MEE6 to give by selecting an emoji, then click on the + to assign the roles (verified and not verified), also disable the setting "Allow members to pick up multiple roles" then click “Save”
MEE6 should have now posted your reaction message in your verification channel.

6. Finally go to the message and remove the "not verified" reaction by clicking the 3 dots on the message > reactions > click the X on the not verified reaction, to make things look clean

Ok that s a working way to do it, but my discord design will not allow this as first you have to react on one message in an generic category (visitors for exemple) to see more categories (members for exemple) and then he will see a room with an other "react msg" that allow him to auto-configure his own visible categories, the issue is if decide to revert the first react message.... He still have the role set in the 2nd one.... I would like to delete them all adding a rwact option to clear them in the first category, not sure if I exppress myself correctly

It s a need that can help me to fully automatize the server, and I belive an option that can easily be implemented

Make an option so that infractions are cleared after a certain amount of time has passed. (for example: every week, 1 infraction is deleted from a user)

Making the Role Rewards a premium feature is not as a cash grab, but as an attempt of simply keeping the bot online.

Role-rewards
For old servers that added MEE6 BEFORE 9/1/19 to their server role-rewards are free.
For new servers that only recently added MEE6 you will need premium.

We made this change because MEE6 takes a lot of time, maintenance and development, and this is not free.
Premium helps us to support MEE6 and to keep the MEE6 dream going, without it, there wouldnt be a MEE6, as you can't run bots like this for free, its not possible.

We try to keep as much as possible of MEE6 free but this is just not possible.

This would be something that would help tremendously with command management.

Adding "Allowed Channels" to "Add Command", this way I would not have to ban all channels in my server for the command to only work in one specific channel.

It would really be insanely helpful.

   (Only Perform Actions When Reaches Specific Warns)

Its really annoying for servers that uses more than 1 ban/mute actions for specific warns as it just performs the action when nothing was set for a specific warn

I'd love a way to set triggers based on parameters that Mee6 already checks for, so that when an event happens in its logs there is a way to flag it via posting to a specific channel or pinging a role (such as moderators) along with that event. We nipped a bitcoin bot that joined our server in the bud quickly and Mee6 saying that the account was only created 2 days ago helped get our attention, but I'd love a way to highlight things like that using a ruleset. Example:

I guess that just wont work for what I want... in my server you join and have access to the "welcome" channel and in there, there is a reaction role section with 12 different options each giving you access to different channels and/or making people be able to mention you.

Yes I could have another reaction role saying "finish" or "verify" like that but then they could skip the getting roles so they can be mentioned for different games.

So I guess what I am suggesting is the ability to do both at the same time, so that way it simplified the discord instead of having multiple reaction messages. So for instance...

instead of just a plus, have a minus option as well... that will remove a role from the user
