@stark robin already exists, give the user an allowed role inside the ban command, make sure that role is not a moderator role, or any they have be a moderator/bot master/admin and you are good to go.

Otherwise a selfban dedicated command, no.

I want to come up with two suggestions for MEE6 and I hope they have not already been discussed. What do you say of two logs, one for deleted messages on the server, and the other to show which member of the server has changed its nickname or nickname on the server. I know that these functions are in other bots, probably would not make MEE6 more special, but the log already exists on Dyno is very buggy and does not work properly, and this information I think it would be useful for a community that wants to know what's happening on the server (if there are people like me who care). You excuse me if this suggestion is a futile and useless one, I think it would be helpful in some cases.

@viral wren >.< theres no kick duration or tempkick, kick just kicks them from thes erver they can rejoin instantly. Also, there already are, just go to the moderator plguin and select *** logging channel*** and all activities like someone being kicked/banned/muted/warned will be logged there

I have two <@&403768316105064458>,

In the Twitch plugin, have option for MEE6 to open a selected channel when a user starts streaming. All it would have to do is change the perms to "send messages." This would let people talk about the stream ongoing. It would close when the stream finishes. There would be a lee way (say 5 mins) so if the stream goes down people can still chat.
Have a option in YT video alert plugin that opens a channel for a specified amount of time. This would let people chat about the video for say 1 day then MEE6 would close the channel again.

There are premium channels that add bot to their community. Bot rewards leaders based on identified triggers. The reward to the user is a badge of honor in itself.

To increase retention of whale users additional incentive could be channel sponsored limited edition T-shirt, or pin, etc.

This enables premium channel user to reward VIP users with something meaningful and enable bragging rights.

For mee6 that’s additional cool functionality with added revenue for merch.

The computing power needed to simply run such a bot is immense, and the resources in terms of server rentage is big, which we pay out of our own pocket.
Making the Role Rewards a premium feature is not as a cash grab, but as an attempt of simply keeping the bot online.

Role-rewards
For old servers that added MEE6 BEFORE 9/1/19 to their server role-rewards are free.
For new servers that only recently added MEE6 you will need premium.

We made this change because MEE6 takes a lot of time, maintenance and development, and this is not free.
Premium helps us to support MEE6 and to keep the MEE6 dream going, without it, there wouldnt be a MEE6, as you can't run bots like this for free, its not possible.

We try to keep as much as possible of MEE6 free but this is just not possible.

Role-rewards
For old servers that added MEE6 BEFORE 9/1/19 to their server role-rewards are free.
For new servers that only recently added MEE6 you will need premium.

We made this change because MEE6 takes a lot of time, maintenance and development, and this is not free.
Premium helps us to support MEE6 and to keep the MEE6 dream going, without it, there wouldnt be a MEE6, as you can't run bots like this for free, its not possible.

We try to keep as much as possible of MEE6 free but this is just not possible.

Make possible bot show the list of all users that got infractions like a leaderboard, this will help in identifying regular rule breakers in big and busy servers.

Please look into the !imgur command randomizing picture output(or at least limit the repeats) on the same commands. for example multiple uses of !imgur foodporn would show different pictures with that tag. All of the food pictures 😉

I looked at the #┃upvote-suggestions text channel and I couldn’t find this so forgive me if it’s there. I was wondering if it would be possible to select your time zone and have MEE6 post a custom message (like the timer) at the hour and day of your choice, as opposed to having to select the interval of the message.

For instance, I raid in a WoW guild and I deal with the Discord side of things... so I would love to be able to select PST and have a raid reminder sent by MEE6 at 5:45pm PST on the dot.

I've been here long enough to understand what will and won't happen for the most part.

Having a premium feature to change server icon when it takes people a couple of clicks for free, not really worth $4.99 a month for that.
I can add it to #┃upvote-suggestions but if i get told to stop adding things that clearly won't happen and it gets a don't look at me.
Server icons rarely change, so even if there was a command for that it probably wouldn't be used much.

On top of that theres rate limits to changing a server icon, and we would have to store all the images everyone uploads to the dashboard if it was to be swapped via command and storage isn't cheap. ShadeShrug

I'm surprised this isn't a thing yet: allow blacklisting word combinations or sentences instead of just single words. Blacklisting single words isn't effective since there's no context to them.

This would be incredibly helpful to moderate emulation servers. People asking where to download commercial games ad nauseum. Blacklisting "ROMs" or "download" isn't helpful at all since it would punish users who aren't implying piracy. (Eg. "How to dump my ROM with my Gameshark Pro, where can I download the test branch, etc).

In the LEVEL UP ANNOUNCEMENT MESSAGE, just as there is a command for {level} to display the new level reached, there should also be a command for role, like {role}, to display the new role that the user has attained. So we could have a message like: GG {player}, you advanced to level {level}, and you are now a {role}!

A feature where MEE6 could detect bad words, zalgo, unknown symbols or emoji and etc for nicknames or names. MEE6 would delete that part of their name and set a nickname for them removing that part of their name or the server owner could set up what they want MEE6 to change their name instead.

I would like to suggest that the bot when someone leaves the server tag the users "discord id" and not the nickname used in server.

It would be awesome if the bot can tag the user before the "leave server" message reaches the discord server... too farfetched...and dont think its possible... but if thats possible.. then it allows the bot to tag the person just before the person actually leaves the server. (in short what i am trying to say is, the person clicks the "leave server" or gets "kicked" the bot immediately send the leave message in the logs channel and only then the user leaves the server.)

or else... make the bot remember the user's nickname used in server and type it normally along with the rest of the leave message in the logs channel so thats its easier for the admins to keep track and easily identify who left the channel

No, because mee6 only sends the leave message after they leave, therefore deleting the nickame. Its not possible for mee6 to monitor nickname all the time.

MEE6 would have to store their names for ALL servers they are in using MEE6, not just your server. So MEE6 wouldnt be able to erase them from his memory.

And MEE6 would have to do that for Millions of users, with Millions of nicknames, and storage isnt cheap, so i doubt it would happen

Timers don't store images, meaning we would have to store the images, storage isnt cheap.
There is also rate limits on server icon changes.

First, they take a look of how many servers the user has (server owner must limit how many), Second, the owner of the server must put a limit on to what date your account was made, Third, Check If The Person Is Trusted (Also Known As Having A Level Limit, Basically EX: You Must Be Level 1 Or 3 In A Server They Have Joined With The MEE6 Bot, Fourth, Scan For VPN (well that’s hard so maybe just implement a captcha made by the bot itself and not a google one)

Add a function that, when enabled, has MEE6 log every nickname change (and username change if possible) in a specified channel. Similarly how it logs warnings/users leaving/entering the server, except it will be triggered on nickname change and will contain in the log message: the (old+new) username, and the old+new nicknames, date+time.

@hardy dirge do you mean what role each user has in !user-info?
We wouldn't add personal information to their profile because:

We dont know it
They might not want that info being shared
Not something we would add to user-info.

Only way for that to work is if the user-info command showed what roles people had, and they would have to assign themselves the roles in your server.

I don't know if this is a bug but others can use MEE6 to mute people with the same role as them. Like if someone has mod and mute someone with the person with the same mod role as them, they can easily abuse. I don't want to have to put them with the moderation role but make it that if MEE6 detect that a user doesn't have the same level of role as someone, then MEE6 won't do the command. But if they have the same role but a higher position, then MEE6 could mute.

@serene fractal set them as a moderator role in the moderator plugin, so they can't mute each other.
That is what it is designed for, so they cant be sanctioned by automoderator or commands used against them.

What you are asking for is technically a feature, its just optional.
So owners can warn moderators if they arent listed in the plugin. (Something people ask for, unknown why)

Allow Mee6 to only announce when a user gains specific levels (Customizable in dashboard). That way only levels attached to rewards get announced, and not every level from 1 onward that are obtained within minutes.

The reason we have it is to reward active members even more and a lot of people have mentioned that members could get to a required rank and stop being active. This way if a member does become inactive their XP starts dropping

I suggest Add an option in "Custom Commands" to grant roles.

What I mean: Add commands that can give the user a certain function, for example, "!role premium" and to make it more accessible, add categories "!role category1 Premium" and, if possible, configure that command to grant the role for a limited time

How about an Xp thing where you can give a player a certain amount so if mee6 is accidentally deleted then people can get levels back. Btw I’m not relating back to my recent situation because rank levels were kept then :>

If we made it free we would lose too many premium subscriptions, this would mean we wouldnt be able to keep MEE6 going.

Maybe in the future when we have enough subscriptions we might lower the price of premium overal. But currently it is a no.

Having problems muting someone/they aren't muted? Check the following

Prerequisites:

Moderator plugin is enabled
!mute command isn't disabled
Bot has role with Manage Roles and Manage Channels permissions
Muted role is under MEE6 role
You're trying to mute someone using !mute @mention reason, otherwise it will not work

If user got Muted role but still can talk means there's issue with your channel permissions
Go to Channel Settings -> Permissions

If that's public channel that can be accessed by anyone:

Set Send Messages for all roles except Muted
Set Send Messages for Muted role

If that's secret channel that requires *special* role to access it:

Set Send Messages Read Messages for special role
Set Send Messages Read Messages for Muted role
Set Send Messages Read Messages for @everyone role

A vote Mute
That one can adjust, which roles are allowed, and how long one is muted. Then you can roll where that may! Startvotemute [@user] make. Then MEE6 sends a message that you can also set, and all users can vote. If more users are against it, the person to be mute gets the courage to roll. The vote can then go 1 to 2 minutes.

It would be important that one may select only one reaction. As soon as you switch from yes to no, the bot clears the answer of yes

Make a "Hall-of-fame" module.
so people can post a image/meme, video, or just even text. and the bot will auto react with a star or something, that we can set the limit of reactions to.
when the amount of reactions reach our limit, the bot copies the post, video/image/text, or whatever. and then posts it in the channel we select as our "hall of fame"
consisting of "Posted by {user.mention}" and underneath the content of whatever they posted.
i think that would be a big thing, that could be added to premium maybe.

- Make sure Bad Words have been added.
- Regular users, who are not allowed to swear, must not have an Allowed Role.
- Channels that people shouldn't be able to swear in must not be in the Ignored Channel section

Over the last few years the bot has exploded in popularity, and is now in millions of servers.
The computing power needed to simply run such a bot is immense, and the resources in terms of server rentage is big, which we pay out of our own pocket.
Making the Role Rewards a premium feature is not as a cash grab, but as an attempt of simply keeping the bot online.

Role-rewards
For old servers that added MEE6 BEFORE 9/1/19 to their server role-rewards are free.
For new servers that only recently added MEE6 you will need premium.

We made this change because MEE6 takes a lot of time, maintenance and development, and this is not free.
Premium helps us to support MEE6 and to keep the MEE6 dream going, without it, there wouldnt be a MEE6, as you can't run bots like this for free, its not possible.

We try to keep as much as possible of MEE6 free but this is just not possible.

MEEWAVE6 I assume you want some kind of verification system for your server, so here's what you need to do:
1. Create a role named "Verified" and "Not Verified" for example.

2. Go to your channel settings. :gear: > Permissions > Deny the read messages permission RedTick for the "Not Verified" role, so they can't see the channels.

3. Create a channel called #Verification and allow the "Not Verified" role to read messages GreenTick here.

4. Go to your MEE6 dashboard https://mee6.xyz/dashboard and select your server, then the Welcome plugin welcome Scroll to the bottom and add a role to give to a user when they join the server. (The "Not Verified" role).

5. Go to the Custom Commands plugin and create one called "!Verify" then add the actions "Give Role" and "Remove Role".
• Select the "Verified" role to be given.
• Select the "Not Verified" role to be removed.
• Scroll to the bottom and select "Clear command invocation" then save the command.

This way we can tell a user how bad doing certain things is.
To simplify it, the severity scale is the equivalent of how many times you would've said !warn anyway, eg !warn 3 {user} {comment} would be the same as doing !warn {user} {comment} three times.

I feel sure this has to be in #┃upvote-suggestions somewhere, but unfortunately, searching Mee6 Support's messages doesn't appear to be a thing I can easily do - his text doesn't work on the Discord search, which is a shame. At any rate, I scrolled back a little ways and didn't see it, so here you go:

My suggestion would be to make it possible to port custom commands from one Mee6-inhabited server to another instead of forcing the user to manually re-input custom commands if you want to use him in more than one server.

While I'm at it, a suggestion more for the channel than the bot: It strikes me kind of strange that in #┃upvote-suggestions I can't actually rate anything with an upvote or a downvote. Placing the initial ratings seem to be tied to some higher-tier role, which makes for oddities like the current "Multiple warnings at once" option in there where the only option for No-Rolers like myself is adding to the RedTick currently rating it; there's no ability to even upvote it.

We changed it because MEE6 is not free to develop, maintain and run, it costs a lot which we pay out of our own pocket with premium.

If we changed it back we would lose too many premium subscriptions and wouldnt be able to keep mee6 going.

in #┃upvote-suggestions there is a limited version of role-rewards if you would like to see that where a server will get 3 for free then ask for premium, that is the closest you can get IF that gets added
