Having problems muting someone/they aren't muted? Check the following

Prerequisites:

Moderator plugin is enabled
!mute command isn't disabled
Bot has role with Manage Roles and Manage Channels permissions
Muted role is under MEE6 role
You're trying to mute someone using !mute @mention reason, otherwise it will not work

If user got Muted role but still can talk means there's issue with your channel permissions
Go to Channel Settings -> Permissions

If that's public channel that can be accessed by anyone:

Set Send Messages for all roles except Muted
Set Send Messages for Muted role

If that's secret channel that requires *special* role to access it:

Set Send Messages Read Messages for special role
Set Send Messages Read Messages for Muted role
Set Send Messages Read Messages for @everyone role

When I have the Twitch command up and running instead of pinging everyone I set up a pingable role but when the Mee6 bot sends out the message it does not recognize the pingable role is there a way to fix this?

@still dock What you need to do is add \ to the beginning of the role you want to ping, take what it gives you, and put that in the MEE6 message.

For example, \@ha55ii#6216 would become @crude mantle . Use that ID to pings instead of just @[role name]

Ok, so this sounds like a code update was implemented some time between when my admin went from level 27 to 28, and said update sends out a one-time message to each user when they level up the first time after the update, disregarding the level up announcement setting. 😑

I'm guessing this was the Custom Server Rank Card code. If you don't want to fix it that's fine, I'll just have to let my admins and maybe my users know what's up. I was planning on replacing the other bots' rank command with something else anyways, just might need to expedite that.

My meebot seems to be making some random users a rank when they join. It doesn't do it to all new members. I made sure that only the topics I want give XP and I double checked to make sure there is no automatic rank when they join.

If I appear to be denying your hard earned experience, or !rank and !levels aren't working properly...

Make sure Levels is Enabled.
Check that you do not have a banned role in the levels configuration, and that you aren't in a banned channel either.
Make sure that I can see the channel you are talking in with "Read Messages" and send messages with "Send Messages".

.!tempban command isn't working properly. For some reason when all the permissions are as they should be, i have turned on "auto-delete command invocation message" but it doesn't delete the invocation messages. O the !tempban command has this issue. Also, after the specified time period is over, the user that have been banned doesn't get unbanned. Even the webhook doesn't send a message saying that someone have been banned.

i made a custom command that gives the "mee6" role which is called !give-role-mee6 and it keeps responding "Oops Something Went Wrong In Mee6 Land" please tell me why this happened

error means an action attached to the custom command is failing (the role bot is trying to give is above mee6's role, or a send action attached to a channel mee6 doesn't have permission to send messages in and such)

Bot doesn't react on commands!!!

That usually happens because:

- Plugin is disabled -> Go to https://mee6.xyz/dashboard and enable the plugin with needed command!
- Permission is missing -> Ask your server's owner to go to https://mee6.xyz/dashboard -> Settings -> Bot master -> Add your role
- Command is disabled -> Go to https://mee6.xyz/dashboard, open plugin settings and enable the command!
- Do not reply to command option is enabled -> Go to https://mee6.xyz/dashboard, open plugin settings, click [Edit] button, scroll down and disable the option!-
You're using command in wrong way! -> Moderator commands like !mute !kick !ban etc. need the user to be mentioned. Example: !kick @user annoying

‣ Bot tries to give the role that higher than his own. To fix that, move the bot's role above the role he tries to give.
‣ Missing Manage roles permission. Go to Server Settings -> Roles -> Bot role -> GreenTick Manage Roles permission

Moderator commands:
‣ Muted role is above Mee6's role. Bot can't give roles that higher than his own. Move it down.

This server is open to all languages as people from different nationalities use MEE6 and request support on a daily basis. (even the owner is French)
When people speak bad words in another language we have staff that are native speakers that are able to deal with it quickly, or pick it out.

I'm not so sure what is going on, but the Mee6 ability to auto-post from subreddit to a discord channel hasn't been doing as such. I tried to disable and enable it, which worked for a single post but went back to not auto-posting new ones that came after.

Having problems muting someone/they aren't muted? Check the following

Prerequisites:

Moderator plugin is enabled
!mute command isn't disabled
Bot has role with Manage Roles and Manage Channels permissions
Muted role is under MEE6 role
You're trying to mute someone using !mute @mention reason, otherwise it will not work

If user got Muted role but still can talk means there's issue with your channel permissions
Go to Channel Settings -> Permissions

If that's public channel that can be accessed by anyone:

Set Send Messages for all roles except Muted
Set Send Messages for Muted role

If that's secret channel that requires *special* role to access it:

Set Send Messages Read Messages for special role
Set Send Messages Read Messages for Muted role
Set Send Messages Read Messages for @everyone role

You can delete the muted role and (if mee6 has manage channels permissions) when you retry muting someone, it will setup the permissions correctly.

Users are able to bypass my no links restriction by sending a message that does not contain a link and then editing it after with the offensive link

If this happens when using:
Custom commands:
‣ Bot tries to give the role that higher than his own. To fix that, move the bot's role above the role he tries to give.
‣ Missing Manage roles permission. Go to Server Settings -> Roles -> Bot role -> GreenTick Manage Roles permission

Moderator commands:
‣ Muted role is above Mee6's role. Bot can't give roles that higher than his own. Move it down.
‣ Missing Manage roles permission. Go to Server Settings -> Roles -> Bot role -> GreenTick Manage Roles permission

So i wanted to test to make a "stage" system with the warning but i found out that no matter how many warnings i give to the user, or how many infractions he get on his own, he will be receiving only the first punishment, which is 30 minutes mute. I added him 20 infractions and it kept muting him for 30 minutes each time instead of going to the next step and so on. Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong? I can guarantee that all permissions are set up properly and i've made multiple tests about them.
Also, this one is a bug for sure. The !warn command always seems to give a respond in the chat, even when "Do not reply to command" is set ON. And it does not send a private response, even when "Send response privately" is set ON and "Do not reply command" is set to OFF.

and the warn command will not DM the user, it only sends in the chat, and to the logging channel
