im conflicted whether im flicking fast enough or not

I want to thank everyone who've helped me along this way. In many ways, I feel like I don't deserve it at all because all I really am is one random guy trying to push his aim scores higher and higher just like the old arcade days. I'm happy to be an influencer in the aim community...
cause i see stuff like this
and think im not
but the advice i was given before said i was too fast
It is a bit of a long read, but I suggest you reading through a conversation I had few days ago. It is quite a wall of text, given I put a lot of the context in there, but it might give you some insight: #1196131037172990002 message
i also need to work on the accuracy of my arm flicks, ive noticed i tend to just aim for the general area the targets in and not aim for the target
That will come with more time ๐
you mention the tsk benchmarks a few times, can you link them or send the share code
Sure thing, one sec.
ok so im kinda coming to realise a few things
correct me if im wrong
but when i was told before that take more time for further targets and be faster for close targets
i took that as flick slow ig long flick fast if close
ending up with me being overly slow on far flicks and way too fast for me to control on close flicks
could be wrong but the correct method is that your flick speed is consistent throughout and the fact close flicks are faster is simply because you dont have to go as far to hit them
therefore keeping your flick speed at a speed confortable for the long flicks throughout naturally keeps your pacing good as you will still be dynamic with it
i still have some issues i need to work out but overall i feel a lot smoother
the analogy of aiming being like a gearbox was also helpful
i noticed with my insistence to get more used to arm aiming i would force myself to use it for even really close targets where using my wrist or even fingers would have been both more accurate and faster
@ebon gate
This here is correct. Your time to kill is: kill time = distance / speed. Speed is constant and your kill time is determined by the distance.
If you stick to a constant speed, you will automatically have a more dynamic pacing cause you will take a bit longer with the wider flicks while the shorter flicks will be done quickly simply due to the shorter travel distance.
Tag me again later today for the notification. Have to head to work in a bit so cannot look now
yep will do
ill do it at like 5 my time so a little under 12 hours
finally nice to be getting some stuff correct lmao
Checking out: you are getting there ๐ you still have some wobbliness when it comes to your decelerations that seems to be rooted in some sort of indecesiveness. I feel like you are a bit afraid to let your full flick motion play out.
At the start of the video (around 0:02) you were approach this target, but as you can see in the graph, your line was off, and you abruptly stopped your flick, move your mouse down and then micro corrected onto the bot.
You are basically adding a lot of extra movement that aren't really necessary.
You flick to the bot (1), then you pull on the mouse a bit to stop earlier (2), you then hover the mouse down (3), and then micro correct onto it (4).
There were a few more instances where you did something similar, where you stopped your flick earlier by yourself instead of decelerating towards the target, then you corrected your line, and then you decided to micro correct.
Try to trust yourself to do everything in 2 motions: flick + decelerate (1) and if necessary, micro correct when you are off target (2)
Although you preferably want to have straighter lines, you don't need to have perfect ones, so don't try to correct yourself mid-flick unless you are completely off the mark
You basically could've just done this once you were much closer to the target
feel like ive started to iron out a few of those issues
my lines are much smoother
and i found a flick speed thats just fast enough to push myself but not so fast i cant control it
still overflick a lot
not too sure on how to fix that
microcorrecting backwards just feels a lot more natural to me
probably cause of my reactive heavy playstyle
honestly now that ive watched the vod a few times i still countertension
just not as severely
You are doing good work. Just keep it up!
