#man with ADHD fails to sit properly

speaking of which, either my desk is too high or my chair is too short, I feel less backsupport if I want to go upright
actually nvm, I've been too harsh on the chair, a bit more force with the adjustment helped
can you spot the difference
so, u're basically not that comfortable with vertical adjustments? raise chair a bit / practice vertical tasks / both
to the point of shakiness and overtension though, so it's a bit more than just more vert, I feel
Ok, good step in the right direction. You said you couldn’t sit with support when you were upright? Use a pillow.
hmmm the shakiness im less worried cuz it could be from smoothness / mouse control issue, but the tension could be overuse / bad posture for a long time / both..
Is that with the new posture?
Cuz that arm angle looks much better
Ehh, I also had incredible tension when I lounged, he’s in a better posture now. I think we see how it is now, and then go from there
sounds good
need to wait for parents to get home so I can actually get a picture of my posture from back upwards lol, so far's just been arm photos and I definitely need to share the other half of the picture here lol
When you move vertically and lower now, can you do it with your arm relaxed?
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I think I see the problem
i can see how that adds tension ye
Leaning back to have back against the chair is normal...the problem lies with how I've leaned my shoulders similarly
i dont recommend leaning back, that + a lot of other stuff ruined my nerves
well it depends how leaned back u are, i was LEANED leaned
shoulder and hand forward
i guess u are not that way
I've been struggling for past few minutes with trying to adjust chair settings a bit more to focus on fixing this issue, mainly since I felt an incompatibility with staying like that and keeping elbows at 90 degrees, but I think the problem is that I originally adjusted this with armrests as where I would supposedly lean my arms, that makes the chair take more of an ) shape, making me do something similar and causing all that pain
those words may not make any sense, rereading them makes me feel the same way, but I think part of the fix is adjusting this chair so I'm getting the support on my back but my chest isn't as far out, letting me sit straighter
whatever works for u 👍
Ofc keeping arms in new position won’t feel right at first, but as long as you find a position that is comfortable for you it’s fine
And I can’t stress enough pillows for the win
im still at it
jesus adjustments are complicated lol
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebNvWlg-hb4 damn leap has to have so many adjustment options
i feel like its adhd doing its thing
do u have same amount of bad tension still?
pain?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du0VU0hOvlQ this video was a lot of help for getting things in order for my seat
I think I've adjusted for the better, seems like things feel better here
@obsidian siren @slim drift seat adjustments have been done, I'm more upright now and going to test some scenarios
👍 enjoy
Doing some fun little Dynamic Clicking scenarios, feels a bit better and I don't feel as much tension
great
Tracking is something to look out for though, I'm probably going to get some practice of that in
glhf
Noticed that the best practice for me is to lean in slightly while having my chair pulled in close enough that it's starting to press into my stomach (although it doesn't to the level of pain)
wdym doesnt to the level of pain
had some health issues for the past few days but I've gone back and started some more training, curious if I've fixed the posture problems as I still feel a little bit of arm tension when aiming to extremes
going to take a few photos and share
Kk
I normally move keyboard left more when I'm doing kovaaks
so I have more room for mouse
is everything all good here?
...I think I may be moving my arms too far out
