You could try switching things up, ex. sens, routine, etc. I found that doing the same routine with the same sens over and over started to get boring after a month or two
I was told to ask here
When I do maps like 1w4ts Voltaic, I get a headache so quick. I have been doing a similar map for years and the headaches never went away
i want swap from palm grip to claw grip because of the size of my mouse. my hand is aching alot when i claw grip, if i continue, will i eventually stop getting fatigue from holding my mouse this way?
@open ivy sry for the tag but any clue if the video is up anywhere https://1-hp.org/blog/hpforgamers/using-box-breathing-to-handle-tilt-stress-from-gaming/ for this article
Gaming can be stressful. Things like clutch situations, extended team fights, ranked gameplay, toxic teammates make your heart race and your breathe heavy. I’m sure you can think of even more! We have all been through these situations and it is not always easy to hit the reset button and de-stress. For those interested about the science and unde...
No worries it should be let me get it
That's weird
and this only happens when you play maps like those or even in daily life?

perfect thank you
almost every scenario but it happens on these types of scenarios more often, I have a very strong inclination to believe I am having panic attacks
although I havent been having them in years so I am kinda unsure
I went to my psychiatrist about it and he was dismissive about it
What about in situations other than scenarios, etc irl? Do you get something similar? I don’t know enough about this but if your psychiatrist is dismissive, you can always go get a second opinion from another one if the problem continues.
It used to happen all the time on exams
Do you also get them if you just leave the scenario afk without playing? Could be you have a weird condition where monitors make your head hurt, or maybe you're somehow getting fricked by efi or smth
I'm sorry you had that experience. I would highly recommend finding a second psychiatrist. Some are incredibly dismissive, but there are some that will genuinely listen to your concerns and try to help. 🙂
@violet swan odd question but if i sit on my leg would it hinder any performance, just have a bad habit of doing so
If I wear a mask when my mousepad is pledged do I still get cancer 😃
Also my fingers touch the pledge
Haha, I do that quite a bit as well, you will have reduces blood circulation leg due to the pressure of your body.
yeah assumed as much
Doing this over an x period of time can cause strain to your lower limbs though
I guess that you would be more relaxed in that posture and not that active which might affect your gameplay but not too much 🤷♀️
I just feel like I am slower whenever I do that
That's good 👍 I'm still too lazy to fix it up
uhh another maybe odd question but for some reason as of late my throat dries up really fast at random, especially at night even tho i drink a lot
I'm pretty sure a dry throat is rly common during the night
It can be due to the fact you might sleep with your mouth open lol
strange
But can also be due to a lot of other things
never had it before
Dehydration? Do you drink a lot of water during the day? Have you maybe stopped drinking as much as before?
Nop, even experimented with drinking more than usual
only thing I had done recently was a nose surgery maybe I formed some bad habit or inhaled something cuz i had to breath from my mouth
for nearly 2 weeks
This is not a solution per say but maybe try drinking warm water/tea before you sleep.
That might also be the reason
I'll try
Let me know if it helps or not
w?
I don't see anything wrong with this. Good luck staying on track
Depending on where you are it's very common for winters to be very dry. This can make you wake up with a dry throat.
israel
I'm mostly at home
went through deviated septum surgery
probably affecting my throat due to recovery still not done
cold showers r worse for muscle recovery apparently
im trying to switch from palm grip to claw because i have a new mouse. i get an uncomfortable feeling in my hand when i start claw gripping it. if i just go through with claw grip will i adjust to it?
@thorny fossil if u want to, just ignore the feeling all ppl who use claw would have a weird feeling if they tried palm so yeah
what is the most ergonomic mouse grip you can think of to play a long amount of time without sacrifice efficiency?
Makes complete sense, I'm glad you figured out what was happening!
You should ask your doc about this. However, there is a cool therapeutic stretching exercise availiable online which may help.
But again you should consult with ur doc.
And if you are in pain you can always use an icebath for your hand to reduce the inflammation.
Any idea how to deal with really bad ADHD and aim training?
I'm off meds and I can't be focused for more than 5 minutes.
And why do u not take em anymore ???
Therapy and meds my friend, serious adhd is a condition that takes effort to combat
My friend has ADHD which disrupts her studying
She uses timers to remain focused for an x period of time
That's the only help I can give unfortunately ;w;
hey does anyone else struggle with pain in fingers and wrist after training in kovaaks? i have done stretches and after 1 minute of constant holding left click on my mouse my fingers just hurt. im using logitech g502 40cm/360 (btw it feels too heavy for me, should i change it or just get used to it, im using it for like 2 years and it seemed bit heavy to me) i have palm grip/fingertip grip
Picture 1 - areas where i feel pain
Picture 2/3 - how i hold my mouse and where my palm touches it
please stop using g502 for fps
if you can of course
g502 is so ass
its probably too heavy for efficient fingertip grip
at least in my opinion
thats what comes to my mind as well
I’m trying different mouse grips and they all feel uncomfortable in my wrist
I use the palm grip normally
@lavish ice it gave me tendonitis
Yeah dont use this mouse for ftip, get a hati-s, something thats light and small
Incorporate various streching exercises into your day
For your fingers and wrist
Pay attention to not tensing aswell
g502 is a not the greatest for fps because it is built like a brick.
If you have the motivation to do it your adhd wont be a issue and I personally prefer therapy over meds Normal therapy not a psychiatrist that feeds you medicine
Is this grip a health risk im thinking of using it
I have massive issue in sleep regularities (im meant to sleep at 11 sharp but sometimes i sleep at midnight sometimes i sleep at 10:30), but im hitting 1h nap and 7:30h of sleep a day routinely. I dont know which should i prioritize in fixing first to achieve better peak time focus, sleep regularity or overall raw duration?
Sleep is an extremely complicated subject, you can increase your sleep quality, length and shorten the time to fall asleep by having a proper sleep hygiene.
I would recommend that you try your absolute best to not lay/sit in your bed during the day and seeing it as a night time only thing. You need to train your body to see the bed as a pure instrument for sleep.
1-1.5 hours before bed make up a ritual, your body loves a situation that happens over and over, by sticking to a routine and set bed times you will automatically feel sleepy arround those hours (it takes a bit tho, give it time)
Personally i wouldn’t recommend naps if you have trouble with your sleep quality/length, the urge to sleep gets lowered by mid day naps making you have trouble falling asleep at night
- no screen 1 hour before bed
Or atleast use a blue light filter
Since the blue light signals your body that its daytime, by removing that you will feel a drastic change in sleep
Hope that helps, is sth i had a fight with all my life, if u have a question shoot it
I didnt pull this out of my ass, its all things i learned over the years from different sleep labs/therapy
and it has helped me a LOT so much in fact im off the benzos for a long time
So no naps and get a BLF. Got it.
Im still struggling about the bed thing. I have no couch on 2nd floor so its either my chair or my bed.
Or going downstair and far from my PC.
naps is ok if you don't exaggerate and let it ruin your sleep
if you have issues as it is then best to avoid
Either sit on the chair or get a couch, the whole dont lay in bed is a major thing that can help your body set its own cycle
U want ur body to understand that if you lay in bed its sleep time and only sleep time
Noted.
They made me feel horrible at the end of the day and when I took them I'd Kovaak's too much.
I'm talking 6 ~ 8 hours a day, I'd obsess over whatever I was doing that day and overdo it.
And it ruined my wrist eventually.
So I took a break and didn't take them for a while.
Still off them, not planning on coming back to them for a while.
Tried different dosages too.
@rough sand i heavily suggest bringing this up in therapy, its a serious condition and i doubt an aim trainer discord will give you proper medical advice with the info given
Yeah, I don't know music seems to help me focus quite a bit so I think I'm just going to go with that until I can set-up an appointment with my therapist.
Maybe try something like this. Studys have shown that classical music can lead to better focus

bruh
Alright, that might help, haha. Yeah I'll try listening to this for today.
Thank you.
No worries, if this isnt your taste i can also suggest lofi, i think aslong as you follow the general trend (soft, no lyrics, not 150bpm) ull get the same/similar effect
yeah i prefer lofi im going to try that.
thanks for the help
didnt think of trying new music.
All good, community exists for a reason
I gotta say this classical music got me relaxed asap
What do you guys do to remedy your mindset when you're in a rut either in Aim Training or Life in general? I've noticed I get in a rut when I fail to breakthrough on a certain thing. Lets say I feel bummed out when I plateau with my scores
Heres an anagoly, if you look back onto your life, you don’t visualize the turns of your life to be abrupt, you slowly changed and grew into the person you‘re over time.
Change is never immediate its the same thing with aim training. Sometimes it feels like you‘re stuck and you don‘t see the progress because your high score hasn’t changed in a while, but what you fail to notice is you eliminating bad habits by strengthening your acquired skills making your average scores be more in line increasing the chance that you will hit a breakthrough again.
Aslong as you put a concious effort into this and deliberately iron out your mistakes, you will get better. A highscore doesnt always define your progress
(Ngl im not very sober, might be giga cringe idk)

when im aim training i get so sleepy and my eyes get tired, any solutions?
how much are you playing
i get tired after ~10 min
8hrs bcs of school, i eat and drink water
after 16
what about just playing a game, you also get tired from that?
nah
thanks
I had this as well, for me it was a symtpom of my adhd. Basically boring repetitative stuff (schoolwork, aimtraining etc.) would make my body "tired" but it wasnt really tired, it had just learned that I would stop the boring crap if it gave the tired signal. In the first couple of weeks after i figured that out i just drank a coffee whenever that happenend and did a 5 minute break where i would just watch out the window, nothing else, no phone, no pc nothing and then get back to the task itself. After a while i reconditioned my body to not be tired by monotonous tasks anymore. Nowadays i can go 45mins to an hour, maybe 2 hours if i push myself before i get tired of boring crap.
Finger joints feel like they are locking up and sometimes hurt (I don't usually notice it while using my mouse; only start to notice it when I am not doing anything specific/watching videos).
Hello, when I play or practice I play with my chair as high as possible and when I watch videos I lower it until my feet touch the ground, my doubt is healthy or counterproductive that my feet are in the air for a long time while the rest of my body is sitting?
Why do you do that though?
Is their a reason
@tight pebble
also I believe feet should be on the floors for correct posture
and at 90 degree angle
Thanks man this really helps a lot!
hey, has anyone ever had muscle spasms in one of their fingers? my thumb has spasmed a bit starting last night, and now its doing it again. it didnt spasm at all today until now (and a little bit earlier but it went away quickly), so im thinking it might be caused by fatigue and overuse/using muscles im not used to using, but i figured id ask here in case im completely wrong and its something more serious, which again i dont believe it is. i circled where the spasms occur (in yellow)
assuming its just a spasm and nothing more, is there anything i can do to prevent this in the future? it doesnt really bother me and thus far its gone away soon after it starts, but i dont want it to snowball into something more serious if it is due to overuse/not stretching enough/etc.
i should add that this has never happened before i started playing kovaaks a few hours a day
I do it because my arm starts to hurt if I have the chair lowered so that my feet touch the ground and my table is not adjustable, so I raise the chair and my arm does not hurt
multiple hours of kovaak is a lot of use and i would hold back from doing that, you likely arent conditioned for that kind of stress
you might be tensing for example and multiple hours of kovaaks is packed with so much of pure aiming with no downtime if you choose, so imo its comparable to 2-3x of that time in regular fps games
yeah what do your guys shedules look like to prevent problems. I was thinking kovaaks only on the weekdays, roughly 1-1.5 hours of the routines and nothing on the weekend?
make sure your electrolyte intake is good too.
thats from person to person i can play like 3h easy without taking a break
When I twist my wrist to the right, my forearm hurts. Is this the end? Any tips would be helpful
I've been playing a few hours of Kovaaks a day for a couple months now I think. I did just recently started grinding reactivity though, which I'm guessing makes more use of the muscles in my fingers than other scenario types due to all the micro adjustments. I think I might try cutting down on my reactivity practice for now, and in a few weeks ill start playing reactivity focused playlists again to see if some rest + less intensive practice helps at all. thank you so much for the help, you have put my mind at ease!
i drink a couple small gatorades every day so i think im getting enough electrolytes, but then again i also drink lots of water so maybe thats clearing them from my system. ill have to see if i can find some electrolyte mixtures to add to my water or maybe just drink more gatorade to see if it resolves the issue. thank you for the advice i really appreciate the help!
if ur already having gatorade on-top of already eating normal salted food
its probs not electrolyes
unless u also do other sports stuff or u live in a desert and are sweating a ton
maybe go to a doc and get a blood test to see if ur deficient in anything
muscle spasms are kind of a symptom for a ton of shit afaik, so its hard to be particularly specific
i need some advice. im losing motivation and get closer to quitting apex the more i play
then dont play, if you dont have any motivation/fun no point
bet
The room where I have my PC set up typically sits around 85-95°F with super low humidity, so it is fairly desert-like, so that could certainly be the cause. I'll have to bring it up next time I see my doctor tho just to be on the safe side, thank you so much for the help !
i mean desert as in hot as fuck
to the point where ur actually sweating
ur not really going to lose electrolytes super fast if ur not sweating/exhaling a lot of water
its why endurance athletes have to worry about this stuff a lot
(and me in australian summers)
but there are conditions where ur body wont hold onto electrolytes well so ya see what ur doc says
are we allowed to discuss adhd and medication here? looking for advice from random people.
yes
cool. I've been diagnosed with borderline inattentive ADHD (I believe that it's a misdiagnosis though) and I've been given two treatment options: 1. Therapy without medication and 2. Therapy with medication.
Those with experience, have you gone through something similar, and what do you think I should do?
I mean it really depends. I know my wife regrets getting stuck on medication when she was young with adhd. If you think youre misdiagnosed though... get a second opinion.
Personally, I think everyone with adhd should at least try medication to see if it helps them. If you take medication for a month or so to test it out, it is unlikely to have a permanent negative impact on your body.
These are the negative side effects of ADHD medication that I have either experienced myself or read about others experiencing:
- Loss of appetite and/or weight loss
- Problems falling asleep at night
- Physical Dependance on your medication (withdrawals are really bad)
- Stunted growth (if you are still growing)
- Permanent/Long-term changes in brain chemistry
- Irritability when your medication wears off/before you take your medication
- Being treated like a drug addict by doctors (random drug tests at doctors visits, mandatory doctor visits every few months or you lose your prescription, things like that)
- Possible reduction of lifespan, though nothing major, likely less than 5 years from what my doctor told me
Basically you are willingly becoming physically and psychologically dependant on a drug that will almost without a doubt improve your quality of life, with some negative side effects.
The side effect I would personally worry about most is stunted growth, since height isn't something you can change once your growth period has ended. I started taking stimulants when I was pretty much done growing (around 15-16 I think) and was on a very low dose for years so I don't think it effected my growth all that much, but I know other people who are very short because they started taking high doses of stimulants at a young age. Just some things to think about, but overall my experience with stimulants (mostly Vyvanse) has been positive. It helps me to focus on completing tasks and allows me to do very boring things for hours without feeling I need to take a break, but I will undoubtedly be psychically and psychologically dependant on them for the rest of my life, so it's definitely a trade-off.
ive been using pure white and pure black for visuals and i think its fucking up my eyes, is it the colors or just the training itself and i need to take more breaks
Well of you're using pure white it's probably the colors.
does anyone here deal with cold hands?
recently my hands are always like ice cold
and it's really affecting me in game
sorry for replying late but i have a question: would it affect exercise? I'm currently getting into strength training and I want to be able to make consistent gains, would medication affect my goals?
thanks by the way for your long answer!
Warm up your room? Stretch your hands, many exercises for that.
Or is there more to it?
mm I think my house is pretty warm
I'm the only one with the issue at home
feel like stretching doesn't really help it
got fed up with having cold hands in game I ended up ordering a rechargeable handwarmer lol
why do i have bone pain so often in both hands?
it shouldn't as long as you still eat properly
double question:
-
should my shoulders be relaxed when playing/training?
-
how can i avoid higher pressure (tensing) in tracking scenarios. (is it normal that u apply more pressure in tracking then in clicking scenarios?
think this is meant for #advice
this are health based question thats why i posted them here? if i am wrong sorry i will post them in advice channel
tensing is normal, not technically health related
yeah you should be relaxed everywhere
you should practice not tensing, gotta focus on relaxing
okay thx u sry for wrong channel post i was thinking they are more health then gameplay/training related
npnp
yea. simple forearm workouts work wonders with some stretching beforehand. might result in shaky hands tho
When I twist my wrist clockwise, my forearm hurts after I play 1hr continuously.my wrist doesn't hurt tho. Help
do they get colder ingame? could be performance anxiety related and thats when blood flow is lessened to your extremities
even if you dont suspect it try playing with calm and controlled breathing
like actually pay attention to it
honestly I do tend to get anxious
especially first game on
then its likely related to that if your hands arent as cold outside competitive games
cardio and proper breathing is what helps me, prob any exercise before gaming should do
doesnt need to go so far that you are exhausted to play after
what i do is run my hands under really hot water
as hot as you can handle for about 30 seconds dry them go to your room with them in your pocket, boom they are warm for about 15 minutes 😄
do you guys have the problem where the back of your head hurts when aim training but when i play apex nothing happends PS it hurts alot
doesnt sound normal, maybe during intense aim training scenarios your posture is off?
forward head for example
if its only in aim trainers then likely posture
thst s the problem cause if i think abt the posture it doesn t hurt anymore
but i can t aim train while i think about posture
i mean idk if it s good
u dont have to think about posture while training lol
just occasionally pay attention to it
okok i understand now tysm for helping
thats actually insanely helpful, just tried it and it works amazing
LOL it does genuinely work
fr fr
what
it does
I’m a man of much advice
why do my fingers get stuck sometimes when i try to bend them?
Or are you talking about like your fingers are dislocating? I know when I move my fingers or certain joints a way it will do that at times and I have to pop it back in place
how do i fix posture? i sit up and it feels awkawrd
Means you're not used to doing it, you probably slouch a lot, no shame in that. Just make sure you're sitting properly as uncomfortable as it is and it'll eventually become 2nd nature.
I have this same issue, I don't know lol.
back stretching helped me alot, plus setting a timer to remind yourself about your posture then eventually youll naturally go to it. takes a little to adjust but benifits are well worth the effort
how do i fix spasm in my forearm?
after like 30 sec in a scenario my forearm starts spasming
my hand aswell
Is there any way to avoid the adrenaline rush I get when I play my first game of the day? I'm shaking and my hands get sweaty and cold.
is there health risk to high sense
that should only happen if your really nervous like in a tournament
wrist problems if you use too high of a sens
stick to the guidelines
s-sensrange
Sensitivity Guidelines based on aiming style:
Tracking: 20-40 cm / 360°
Click-timing: 30-60 cm / 360°
Complete/KovaaK: 25-35 cm / 360°
Separate hip-fire sensitivities may allow flexibility with these ranges.
hmmm well it happens every day

does anyone know why with my glasses on i do so much worse in every scenario then with them on? it's almost like i can't track or judge distance as well with them on, yet im full on blind with them off
Because glasses help you see??? And you're used to wearing them I'm assuming
Wait I read that wrong
hello i have this problem whenever i move my wrist to much to the right side i hear a bone crack
i hear this when im trying to aim to the right side i dont any problem when i do to the left side though
i do wrist exercises as well too but idk
depends on how developed scoliosis is.
usually its treatable with right excercises and stretches
if its a severe case then you can make it a bit better , but usually surgery is the only way
My right upper trap starts hurting after a while of aimtraining
probably tensing/shrugging your shoulder area
pay attention to your posture
lower ur desk/raise ur chair
u might also just have disproportionate upper arm length so ur shoulder always gets a bit pushed up
i have this personally
it s very easy but idk what to do any tips?
you can almost not see it
like it s not that bat
bad
a physiotherapist is prob your best bet if its not severe
I have this weird thing that keeps happening , towards the end of a run my wrist starts to shake , like I can feel it when it’s under pressure , it doesn’t happen constantly only the odd few times and I don’t have any pain from it , just wondering what it could be because it does feel very awkward and annoying when it does happen
Oh im dumb sry
I think I had the same thing this morning. I wanted to do benchmarks but my aim was jittery af and I could see my arm twitching while doing the scenarios, so much so that it was annoying just from seeing the twitching in my peripheral vision.
hey does anyone else struggle with pain after even short sessions in kovaaks? i have played i minute of tracking target and my hand already hurts probably from holding mouse button
yeah you are tensing too much. Try and bind fire to space as well and actively try to relax your hand while firing with space. Try to really "save" the feeling in your brain, how light the mouse feels and such and try and relax when training and replicate the relaxed hand feeling
thanks i forgot i can do that
do you think it can be correlated to my heavy (logitech g 502 hero 120grams) mouse?
My mouse is 120g as well and for me it took 3 weeks to build up the muscles to train without extensive breaks. Now i only do a 10-20 sec break between each round. But in the beginning I had to break the fundamentals routine up in 2 parts
hello guys how would u define a "healthy" neutral shoulder position.
whatever lets u relax for long periods of time and doesnt give u any discomfort
ur body is generally pretty good at defaulting to that
though some people have weird muscular imbalances so they have weird resting position
Wow!! 144ms!! So fast 🌪 big fan 🔥😍 Pls teach me 🤓
started getting gamers/tennis elbow pain. i bought a stress ball and finger tension bands. gonna have to take a break from training i think 😦 . am i missing anything else i should be doin?
Are you stretching before and during your sessions?
Im probably just cripplingly horrifyingly mentally ill but i really have mindset issue again with inability to accept my teammate shortcomings whether its scrim or solo queue. I went back to just calling everyone "the r word" and "IGN aim" and such just because they cant get their hands up to the game. Idk how to be far more accepting about it.
Well ye this is terrible to do. Probably should try to focus more on yourself and play to improve instead of playing to win. If that doesn't help team games probably aren't for you.
Naw you cant tell me to get off team games to be frank with you.
For how it is i am not good enough to fully lonewolf everything.
I feel ignored right now by someone I consider a really good friend. I don’t know how to describe it other than stressful, anxiety-inducing, and crushing to my self-esteem. I can’t help but feel like I’m the cause.
I hadn't been. just looked up "tennis elbow" videos and got some examples of stretches.
let me be an example for anyone here that's having these issues X)
Hi guys, I have this problem where my mind gets boggled with negative thoughts like "what if I lose, what if I can't win, what if I embarrass myself" etc. in competitive games. I don't care about winning and losing and simply want to be able to do my best but these negative thoughts get in my way. Is there any methods I can try to improve in that sense?
fill your mind with something else, maybe listen to a podcast for some time or instead think about what you can do better instead of why you lose or win
results don't matter
you have to convince yourself to not care
play the game and think about whatever you can do better
yeah, those are exactly the things Iwant to be able to do
but I really, honestly just can't
negative thoughts and feelings are just too overwhelming and I really don't think how to overcome that at this point. Honestly I decidede to write here because I am quite desperate atm.
well I'd have the same issues as you but i kept playing and at one point what i did was come up with one line that would encourage me and just kept saying it
over and over
brainwashing myself to think that I'm doing my best and in time I'll do better
just keep mumbling it to yourself
every time you get attacked with negativity
reject it
it has no place in your mind
Okay those are good advice! Good to know that someone else also went through similar things. The fact that you became such a good player really gives me hope.
I will definitely try those. I will lie to myself if I have to, because I know the thoughts in my head are also lies that I made myself believe over time.
Thank you so much Rigs! Really means a lot to me, you have no idea how much these matter.
don't overwhelm yourself with the negativity, i deal with it daily and i try and force positivity instead, happy to help <3
if I can simply try my best that will be enough for me. I really don't care about results. Just, knowing that I can't perform at my potential because of all this negativity makes me feel frustrated.
If I can get through this, I will be immensely happy as it will affect everything in my life, not just gaming.
look into mindfulness meditation, pretty well documented with its benefits
is skypad/hard pads better suite to prevent wrist injuries since you dont have to tense as much since theres no initial friction or glide resistance?
i heard n0thing talking about using hard pards since he has some wrist issues
strengthen your wrists and forearms instead of doing bandaid solutions like that
already do that
what do you do?
but i played guitar for 10 years so im worried, and i ve do wrist forearm, finger streches for like 3 years
a little of weight training
its not like a have an immediate problem
just long term worries
since i have pain like 2 times a year at most
then start strengthening early on if you are worried
idk what " a ltitle of weight training" means
but what you mean by that
do you do target exercises for your wrists and forearms
like wrist and reverse wrist curls
eyeah
and neutral wrist curls
yes
i do to an extent yeah, and what do you mean by close to failure
not being able to finish a rep
i guess i do, i have an extensive routine to keep tendons healthy since im old on the aim training side
yeah i always finish
then idk why you are worrying if you barely have any pain as you said
and before any chronic injuries happen you can intervene
my pain is like twice a month, and when i get it, it last the whole day
almost like today but i did some new stretches and helped a ton
it not really a pain that can affect my performance
but still there so i do get worried
but your feedback maked me a little bit calm, i guess its normal from overstrain muscles
hmmm i mean i do barely 30 min kvk, sometimes 1hr but i do play alot
like 6 hours etc
like normal gameplay

ye you could like take a week off from both and see if the pain improves, if so you could just lower the amount you play or take more frequent breaks

My forearm is kinda sore and I have a weird on and off pain in my pointer finger, not sure if that's from swimming yesterday or just persistant aiming
Hey I need some help I woke up not long ago and my wrist is really painful when I move it in some directions, I tried stretching it with some guides on YouTube and it relieved the pain for like 15 minutes but now it’s back and it’s more painful than before the stretches
anyone can advise me on what to do?
whats the cause?
aight take some time off from any load, 1-2 weeks and then start doing these, especially exercises 4-5-6 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoedUZ4OpPY&t=
Wrist pain is by far the MOST common complaint I get when I work with pros and gamers. And the first thing they often encounter online are resources telling them to rest, brace, just do stretches! Sorry, that’s not going to help in the LONG run. These are just methods for short-term relief. I’m Dr. Hwu, and I’m the esports injury doctor. Over th...
its ok to work through mild pain when doing strenghtening exercises but not if it feels aggravating
as long as the pain doesnt get worse you are good most likely
wrist rotations also pretty good, use a hammer or a stick with weight at the end
go further from the weight to increase leverage over time
ok ill do that, thanks!!
Hello, big grinder kovaak asks for advice:
1 year ago, I played dumb, and I was grinding kovaak without stretching, and for an absolutely impossible number of hours. I paid for it with dequervain's dentinitis according to my doctor. I had 2 "revivals" after my first tendinitis, then I decided to stop everything "time" for it to heal (1 year total ). A few months ago, on the ultrasound, great news, "healed" tendons.
I slowly took Apex and BF1/5 back, so far, some area of discomfort, but no pain.
I decided to "test" Kovaak over a very short period of time to see if it had changed, and there, very slight but present return of pain, not so much at the base of the thumb, but at the wrist joint, leaving the impression that my cartilage was creaking without being oiled.
Do you have any ideas for exercises that could be suitable for "gentle rehabilitation"?
I paid full price once, I understood the lesson.
PS: I pay attention to my posture.
give this a read https://stevenlow.org/overcoming-tendonitis/ also i cant give professional advice but i don't think full rest is ever going to help in your case, you need to strengthen those tendons and ligaments
Update: My book on Overcoming Tendonitis: A Systematic Approach to the Evidence-Based Treatment of Tendinopathy is released! Tendonitis is one of the most pesky injuries that can plague an athletes career, which can derail both practice and performance. This article seeks to explore the mechanisms of tendonitis and how to
the video i linked above should help in your case aswell but targeted thumb exercises i have no idea of
did you do no strengthening exercises at all after that long break you had?
you just slowly eased back into games?
Hey, thx for your answer, my doctor say " don't do anything just wait " this was 1 year ago, today; he told me to do what i want. So ... Nope, i don't do any exercises at all.
And yes, i just come back to games 2 months ago now, i feel fine, some little discomfort, but no pain.
The pain only come back when i do some kovaak stuff xD
And thx alot for the link, i'm reading it now.
1 year seems very extreme i think you could have started rehab way earlier
but yeah its scary when its about stuff like hand function
Is it normal that when I move my wrist around fast that it feels like it crunches or should I get that checked out? It also sometimes appears in my elbow while aming
Hey guys, recently i tried to implement my Powerball to practice light gripping m mouse. is sth like this reccomended or what else i can use to practice this?
my hand hurts when doing scenarios in kovaaks
dont tense too much its just for fun, maybe your sens is too high and relying on wrist movements try a lower sens
tensing is generally bad for getting scores anyway
I've got a question. Generally, I draw with the whole arm. Does it damage my arm if I held the mouse in the same position?
what do I do for low libido?
I feel like I'm not tensing but I'll try to focus more on it thanks
unironically touch grass
exercise, proper diet, cardio
And what would u say are „supplements for mental focus“?
I can think of a few but without a nice doctor u wont get ahold of any of them
adderall but something less strong @violet swan
dont pop pills if u dont need em 🙂
research purposes
stims are fine but theyre kinda 1 dimensional
and all generally have fairly acute negative impacts with enough usage
nootropics r kind of a pretty young field of research but iirc there is a fair bit of interest
might be worth looking for stuff with that term
though dont get caught up in people being way too experimental and trying stuff with no good data
I go out a lot and workout and eat well that’s why I’m concerned
hmm
at that point its probs best to see ur doctor
could be weird hormonal stuff that dont really have a certain cause
When I am focusıng on a sıngle dot that ıs standıng stıll, or trackıng a movıng target, my eyes jump to completely ırrelevant dırectıons and I lose focus constantly. Does thıs happen to anyone else? Is it simply a case of poor tracking skill or is something wrong with my eyes?
get bloodwork for testosterone then
Same
I can exactly tell u what to take since i had this question years ago
But i dont think hes nearly old enough
Dont do that shit if your brain isnt done growing
If you‘re just curious what it would look like heres an example on the „extreme side“:
(that is theoretically un problematic for daily use if you dont act sensitive to it)
1.) escitalopram 20mg (should be the same name for english)
2.) welbutrin 300mg (bupropion)
3.) Methylphenidat (concerta) 54mg
Ull be able to focus for hours on end, be a lot happier and near unlimited motivation (all legal when prescribed)
But yk, rather dont
Possible side effects range from basically nothing to a deadly serotonin syndrom
And gl finding a doctor who prescribes you all that without a life long mental health history
nootropics
but dont honestly
finger stretches?
feels like my fingers are cramping, could be because my hands are a little big for my mouse
I always have this feeling of HAVING to improve and each time I can't reach my goals I feel really nervous and I have a panic attack because I want to become a professional player (I live in Italy, so it's really hard to pop out in the international scene). Any tip?
Anyone else dealt with elbow and tiny discomfort (not pain at all tho) on the tricep area only on the arm I aim too, it is making me shake a ton and my flicks are not accurate most of the time even with a ton of practice not seeing a improvement on speed only on accuracy is so weird I'm starting to believe the discomfort/tiredness on the arm is the problem... already took a 3 week break but it came back ofc it gets to a point where wrist feels stiff and I just gotta stop because Im underperforming and missing easy shots
your main motivation shouldnt be to become a pro player, its a very volatile environment and not many people that make it
if you seriously get panic attacks because you arent improving i think its time to quit completely for now
can nootropics damage your brain? or are they just unhealthy?
depends entirely on what ur taking and how much and how frequently etc
just like any other substance
usually pros and cons
itd be like saying all drugs are unhealthy when clearly theyre not
I got wisdom teeth removed, not sure if it is a suture or smth or if its a piece of food
they are unhealthy if you dont know what youre doing. also, using nootropics to aim better is like asking for a dependence on them because as soon as theyre gone, youre going to play worse and want them again to enjoy gaming. im pretty sure supplements are fine, but drug-drugs should only be used for legit reasons
how physically capable are you. could your problem be that your... idk you get the point probably. if youre strong idk what it could be
any good supplements for gaming? I have very big problems focusing for a longer period, I can focus for one or even only for half a game and then Im gone again, any advice?
also its so much harder for me to focus when Im on discord, but when I talk on ingame chat with my friends I dont have that problem
i get the same problems. ingame chat limits you to only game-related topics because you have to press a button to speak. concentration is just something that comes with time. if you can, however, between rounds or when the game gets stale, keep game audio on when alt tabbed and play a 30 second task like gridshot to stay focused. this does, of course require a decent amount of ram to do
I need a better gpu for that, having kovaak open in the background will eat some fps and I just need all the fps I can on my gtx 970 in Apex, when I play valorant it isnt a problem but in Apex my gpu is sweating
can you limit your frames in the kovaaks menu to 30 and do you know how to enable full screen optimisation
yeah I've done everything to squeeze all juice out of my pc, and yeah, Ima try limit the menu fps, Ima try 10 tbh heh
thanks for the tip
good luck. also, regarding supplements, do you take any? if so, try a day without and see if theyre hindering your performance. i thought fish oil and vitamin b was the shit and then i stopped taking them and my wingman evolved into an absolute banger of a fish
I dont take any, I just started taking vitamin D like 2 days ago, was hoping that the fact I dont go outside that much might be the thing, and also the lack of sun where I live rn
actually scratch what i said about nootropics. it might just be disinformation to advertise nootropics, but from what im reading, nootropics might be good??? i actually have no idea. before trying something like nootropics, make sure to seek out skeptical or negative views/sites to see what evidence there is against nootropics
or ask your gp
I saw a video about neutropics from some esport "coach" or something, he said its good but you never know if hes not just another motivation speech guy that makes money of it but doesnt do it himself lmao
i wouldnt even think about any supplements before you have nutrition, exercise in order
and get bloodwork done for things that might cause focus issues
bloodwork?
blood test
ah ok
yeah I stopped working out a while ago after I had a injury and diddnt go back to it, but I had the same problem when I worked out too so idk
like common vitamin deficiencies, your thyroid function and potentially testosterone if male
I guess Im gona try to get back to working out and if that doesnt help Ima visit the doctor, thanks a lot
my forearm has started shaking relentlessly the past two weeks, had a flu and a fuckton of pain killers. now my aim is super fucking shaky, to the point where im not even hitting half the scores i used to... i get a bit of shoulder strain aswell, i haven't changed anything to my setup, but generally it feels very uncomfortable to sit and either play games, or exercise, due to the shakiness. both my hand and forearm is shaking uncontrollably when i do routines. what can i do?
Hello, I just started using Kovaaks about 3 days ago. Yesterday I started noticing pain in my forearm. My sens is 25cm/360 in Kovaaks and 33cm/cm in game. What am I doing wrong and what do I do?
I believe I have to add that I changed my mouse grip recently and I noticed I'm griping the a lot harder with my thumb.
too much increase in load/+ you are tensing and gripping too hard, aim training has no downtime and its just pure arm usage if you choose to so you just might not be conditioned for it yet
Yoooo, I have an interesting pain in my shoulder, its rather small, but still noticeable
What steps should I take to avert any serious chronic injury
Also I play baseball at the jv level if it makes a difference
yah it's the string/stitch they use to close the hole, it will fall off on its own and will not hurt u if you dont bother it
Okay, thanks. I'm gonna take a break from it for a while.
stretch or put some ice on it
If my hand is shaking does that mean i played too much and should rest it? (i do streches before and after i play) How do pros play so much without getting shaky hands ? Does making it stronger help? How much should i let it rest?
My arms, wrists and fingers feel very tired and hurt a bit, is there any stretches or routines to stretch them well?
yes getting stronger helps
wrist curls with increase in load over time are good
any advice for dry eyes besides taking eye drops? my eyes have been unable to stay moisturized lately and i can't really focus in scenarios
blue light glasses, try adjusting ur monitor’s color settings, move your monitor further back, make sure you’re staying hydrated, and also try the 20-20 rule where you look at your monitor for 20 minutes and then u look away at something, like something on your wall for example and try to focus on it for 20 seconds. (20 minutes to 20 seconds ratio) and repeat every 20 mins
thoughts on alot of the gaming community taking drugs to help focus like adderall etc
heard alot about it from the fortnite community
everything what tygers said and i would suggest not to play in a dark room for a while untill your eyes get better
if u play in one now
in ma case i dont um use drugs or substances but i got some mates who do well all i got to say is adderalls quite the stimulant and quite a few side effects too alll i gotta say on this is to your level best dont use any sorta drug (abuse)
Adderall makes u go crazy (just jokes)
if its not prescribed, i would not take it as it will present you with a ton of health risks
will make you stop being hungry, will make you take more of it
Braindead people
but fr u dont need any of that
my friend has gotten addicted to them and i really want to help him out but im not sure how too
Honestly it's tough, if he/she's stupid it'd be really hard to help him
How much does he/she trust u?
about 10
?
just around 10
hi guys, i tried the wrist flexion on my aiming arm and i feel a painful tug along my forearm
i actually was looking for stuff to help me with wrist and arm pain
Something fked up my mental completely all of a sudden and im rethinking everything and going kind of through existential crisis and i have no idea what to do, everything feels fkin meaningless and idk how to stop thinking like that and what to avoid because i completely live on internet right now
dont live on internet :)
figure out why, tell us, we'll tell u why it's dumb and you'll be fine. if you dont want to tell us, you'll have to do it yourself.
thats the thing i dont know why
then figure it out.
might take minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, doesn't matter. find out why.
Take Vitamin D, a lot of us gremlins don’t get enough sunlight and it impacts mood dramatically
- take a break from playing, works wonders on resetting mental
Expanding on the 20 20 rule, you can additionally close your eyes and hold a small amount of pressure on your eye lids just using your middle and pointer finger for abt 15 seconds works wonders for me
Can someone tell me why my arm goes numb after aimtraining for like 5 minutes
Check posture and ensure there is not blood flow restrictions in your wrist/arm from the table/chair. If your arm goes numb, it’s probably lack of blood flow. If all of the above is in check, then you probably need to exercise more. I suggest using Powerball, they are very cheap and effective for getting the blood going in your arm
Ok
any tips against shoulder pain? i do daily streaches but is there something else i can do?
Potassium
Adjust my monitoe color settings to what? Also will lowering brightness help maybe?
maybe take a break to cool yourself off, if its a outsite gaming effecting your RL problem please talk to a psychologist, get some professional help.
everybody needs help sometimes don't think it as a sign of weekness to get professional help.
Can someone tell why does my index finger keeps twitching/vibrating and how to stop it?
i got prescribed it recently for unrelated but i can say it makes me play at least 85% of my max potential everyday, whereas some days i used to only achieve like 25%, unable to react to anything
my body from my rib cage down is really hot and i cant fall asleep it’s been 5 hrs
do you take supplements?
try to talk with a professional first and give him the option to get some professional help, if he is of age you can only offer help but the willing to stop his addiction must come from him u can't force someone even its for they own good. Only parents can do that if he is still in there care.(also only to a limited amount)
nah
I am getting constant pain in my right thumb, any exercises or stretches against that?
Yes 1 sec

thanks dude
Yeah really struggling because He’s the same age as me and we are really similar in the sense of trying shit out which I have then stopped due to the addiction starting, quite lost in what to suggest
i am not a professional for this matter i sugest getting atleast information from a professional (idk which country u live in there are phone numbers (free) in some countrys to get help/information).
and again at the end it must be his wish to fight the addiction.
i would recommend dm or tagging a mod maybe someone from staff or server members can help best with this problem.
any advice on how to decrease tenseness? after playing for a while and im sufficiently warmed up, i cant seem to get my hands to relax anymore, theyre just constantly tense and controlling my aim, and i cant seem to control my aim as well without being in that constant tense state (using 34.7 cm on valorant, 25 cm on kovaaks)
train your grip strength and forearms
Guys do you have any advice on how to help carpal tunnel go away? I have mild symptoms and I don't want it to get worse
stop playing when you feel any type of symptom, try to avoid super long/intense sessions, make sure your stretching before during and after playing. make sure your giving self time to rest. if this doesnt help go seek proper medical help from your doctor bc im guessing having it really isnt fun at all
Thanks. I don't even play that much, I recently tried aim training more than my usual warmup so i guess that's a reason. Gonna take a break for a while
it could just be you over thinking possibly maybe trying working out to build strength
I thought that at first but I was playing valorant and i was feeling sharp pain along my wrist and arm when flicking so I decided to be safe than sorry.
yeah i agree always best to play it safe, but i do recommend doing some exercise or working out, like push ups etc
Yep. I'm doing the wrist exercises posted in this discord, maybe I'll start doing others but I'm lazy as fuck lol.
Guys my wrist really cracks. Like a lot a lot just when moving it pretty much. Is there a way i can prevent in the cracking? It's really annoying and I'm kinda scared i can ruin my wrist like so
any advice on shoulder tightness? pretty sure ive strained it but it hasnt been healing and i play significantly worse because of it. doesnt feel like i have full control over my mouse. i play on a really low sens but i dont feel like that would be the cause and im pretty bad on higher senses.
seen a doctor and gone to a couple physios and they havent helped much annoyingly. its been like this for around 4ish months. sometimes the tightness goes away but it comes back really fast when i play or do any aiming stuff
wrist curls helped me quite a bit
can i dry scoop creatine
i used too but i dont recommend creatine can give the shakes and mood swings so i stopped bc i got the shakes from it
if im 5'8 110 pounds and use 10 pound dumbbells could that be the reason my aim is so bad?(im not short im just 14)
no
what
same question actually i've been thinking about this
being physically active doesn't make your aim bad
lol that was such a strange question
why would u
i dont wanna drink a whole thing of water, id rather be able to just finish it all immediately and drink my water casually whenever i feel like throughout the day
dude just drink water wtf
usually i mix my creatine with a bunch of other things
not really a fan of taking it only with water but that's just me
lol drinking seems a bit easier than half choking on dry powder
well i mean dry and then swallow with 1 or 2 gulps of water
🤔 doing the same thing then but with just an extra step
this honestly, it's completely pointless, it is soluble in water for a reason
i put my creatine into my protein shakes
or i just put 5g into a cup and as little water as i need to dissolve it
and then just swig it
tastes like nothing basically
i made the mistake of getting flavored creatine, it tastes horrendous
kek
Has anyone here had a problem with shaky hands and managed to solve it somehow?
I feel like I might have a small problem with that, which causes my aim to be jerky.
Not sure what's causing it, it used to be much worse before and got a bit better but I can still feel my aim to be quite jerky compared to other people.
shakiness can just be a lack of mouse control, which you can get better at
I still shake all the time all I do really if I am shaking too much is just try and relax or have a break
I see, so it's manageable ?
I always feel so bad about it, because I am trying to get good aim on Apex and it gets in the way.
Could also be control issues, I never really practiced mouse control for extended time.
Yeah I just try and stay relaxed like I said because I have a problem of over tensing at times and it makes me even more shaky but yeah just with practice you will get less shaky
Alright, thank you
Np
How do I know if the median nerve is pinched on the wrist or not?
i've read it can also be pinched on the neck, chest and elbow
Mine got reduced a significant amount after switching to the xm1r, back hump provides great support. I still get shaky though especially on my faster pad
bought xm1r, my hand size is 17x8. I have a little discomfort in wrist and elbow, is it normally?
when you got the mouse or before? imo that mouse is too big for your hand size anyway
when i got it
i want to try hati-s, is it worth it?
should i play with my glasses?
usually, at this range i can still see clearly.
but not when sitting in front of my screen somehow?
could try that, but i also suggest viper mini
exfoliate bro
you should, to not strain your eyes trying to retrieve detail.
what is like a good amount of sleep for a 19 year old?
7-9h
as much as u can get without feeling worse than if u had got less
guys any budget chair for good posture?
any1 ever tried nootropic drugs? currently rolling on piracetam+alpha gpc+gfuel and im just breaking scores left and right
long term it's probably not something good or something you want to rely on
Arm & wrist sometimes feel uncomfortable and/or slow when doing certain tracking movements or just general flicks causing me to have to reset— could it be because my desk is too tall?
How tall are you and how tall if your desk
How we position the aiming arm directly influences our ability to control the mouse and aim the crosshair. In this video, I talk about the vertical height of the aiming arm and how it's influenced by a desk and chair.

Fuck cold hands
I workout 4 times a week
And my hands are still fucking cold
Fucks with my aim
Tru
Very sad
My wrist on the pinky side cracks/pops when I rotate my wrist over it
Like every time
And my mouse hand wrist cracks if I push against it during extension after I tense a lot while aiming
And both of my elbows make cracking/popping noises when I extend the@
After playing osu I also got pops in my wrist easily, shouldn't be concerned unless it's painful
"Tense"
hello my english is a bit bad i'm sorry i have something i want to talk about my arm is shaking and twitching while playing games and i can't move the mouse i'm stuck. What can you suggest for this situation?
I am 5’10 and my desk is 29.72” tall.
Yeah my desk is definitely tall, my shoulder and traps are elevated.
Any temporary “solutions” until I get a different desk?
Get a temporary desk?
Yeah its a little bit too tall
if your 6 feet desk height should be like 29 inches
but your not 6 feet tall so
weak forearms?
idk why it works but strengthening exercises for forearms works for the cracking on the pinky side for me at least
only something to make you taller
like a pillow
or smth
to heighten your chair
i used tiles and just stacked them up under the stands of my desk, make sure there stable enough and have friction so they do move
can i cross my feet ?
Yeah I think I’ll go with this, hopefully it isn’t too uncomfy.
That would make my problem worse, my desk is too tall already.
oh i read it wrong then lmao
sorry
weird question but does being hydrated affect the way you play in fps?
yes. your brain needs water to stay focused/concentrated on anything. dehydration can also affect your reaction time and memory, all of which you use in gaming. theres also plenty of studies regarding the physical aspect, fatigue etc. If you watch high level esports pretty much all the players have bottles of water and for good reason.
Guys I have a big question
It feels like I've lost an ability to focus ingame ( My main game for last 2 years is valorant )
I am in a complete autopilot for 99.9% of the game duration
I catch myself on it all the time but I cant focus for more than 5-10 seconds
then I just go back to autopiloting to catch myself on it 2 minutes later
and its an endless loop
what can cause this problem and how can I work on fixing it?
I sleep 8-0 hours per day at a consistant time
go to bed at 1am and wake up at 10
I drink a lot of water
I do cardio
I eat food 3 times per day, never had a problems with eating
this all happens even when I'm just starting the gameday
as soon as I log in - I enter autopilot mode
I cut my valorant playing hours to about 2 hours per day recently
I did a pretty long break when I realised that I cant really focus because I thought that I'm just burnt out
but when I came back full of motivation it remained the same
saying it out loud mid game doesnt help me to maintain focus
I just feel lost about it, because this issue results into being completely turned off during the game
nobody can perform on autopilot
it results into bad utility usage, bad aim, bad positioning
and finally into tilt and bursts of sadness
playing with a duo didnt help me either
is there like a height to desk height chart?
I cannot find any desk that isn’t 29” in height.
Might just need to get an electronic adjustable one.
looked on the posture guide thingy and it said my arm should be 90 degrees to my shoulder
i think ive said this alot, ima say it again you cant always have fun doing the same stuff over and over again
i recommend finding something else to do when you find yourself bored of val
you can always come back to it
mine was escape from tarkov since im vert competitive and this game has super fucking hard learning curve i loved it
it also taught me to stay calm in tense situations, learn to read and predict movements
and taught me that one game isnt enough to always have fun
games are meant to be fun @robust bolt
this i can suggest having a notepad next to you, then write 3-5 things you want to work on that session then just hop off
limit yourself and be concise with what you wanna do rather than just playing
did anyone here experience pain only when lifting their one leg forward?
make sure your standing up and just moving around a minute or 2 stretching and stuff, should help a little to set a timer
i've been pretty fit lately. Sprints, S/B/D and all that but it seems the pain has only recently come back
I've been thinking it's a hip impingement/hip flexor strain but nothing seems to be working
hmmm are you stretching before and after these sessions, also doing a warm up and warm down?
yep, full mobility routines before and after
like what are the complexity of your stretching tho, are you doing specific stretches for your hip flexors for example
If you're dealing with hip pain, here are the top 4 exercises I often use with my patients who need more strength/stability.

so it's pretty weird for me to be experiencing pain
it's absent when I'm walking and running, but as soon as I lift my one leg forward, the pain comes
@wary silo try doing the classic football warm up of opening the gates then closing them, try bring your knee as far up as you can to your chest, do a couple steps/jog on the spot then switch leg
also try leaning on the wall pull your knee towards you grabbing the middle of your shin
that helped me

hi, why do we have to stretch finger also? I get that stretching wrists is important but why fingers?
yo should you wash your hair without any products
hi, should I use random sensitivity while practing Tracking?
Not much you can do, if u dont have super sweaty hands you can try playing with a thin glove that will absorb some moisture.
If you have hyperhidrosis (very very sweaty hands) you can either try a strong antiperspirant or get get botox injections to stop any sweat.
Check with your doctor if the glove doesnt do the trick.
Having hyperhidrosis is more common than you‘d think, maybe you‘re one of em. If you have any questions feel free to tag me

luckily its not from mouse use though
how should be the mental when u are continuously losing rounds
Can somebody recommend a routine to strengthen my shoulders and hands? I've been doing the 1hp shoulder and wrist warrior routine for two weeks but I still feel discomfort and pain playing. The routines are helping but I feel like it's not enough idk...
when you feel pain playing even when doing stretches and working out you should check your posture etc. if the problem stll ocurs lower playtime, take regular breaks playing and maybe consult a professionel
I had to go to physical therapy but I also had a slipped disc so depends on severity of your pain
So I've got a question to do with improvement.
So I play Valorant quite often, and on weekdays I get around 6 hours of sleep, and on weekends 8-10, I play a bit worse overall on weekdays (assuming it's from less rest), and it feels like I improve a lot overall after switching to the weekend, but it feels like genuine improvement, rather than the comparison from how I play on the weekday and weekend.
Is this an actual thing? Like limiting your skill like this and playing a lot then playing without that limitation
(pls ping me with reply)
you dont improve a lot overall on the weekend you just suck more during the week. Its like being drunk all week and sober on the weekend. Improving is about overcoming limits and those are lower during your week than on the weekend. So even when you became worse, your skill ceiling will be higher thus making you feel better. In the long term this can hinder improvement quite a bit. the average adult should get 7-9 hours of sleep on a regular, teens around 8-9/9.5 ish hours.
But it feels like genuine improvement tho, I'm asking if it's an actual thing that people do?
Not specifically with sleep
but with limiting yourself
So like
Does working out decrease your ability to aim? cause i workout alot and pretty seriously and my muscles are sore most of the time. does that mean il be worse at aiming or?
This study evaluated a brief sleep intervention designed to improve the sleep, mood, and cognitive performance of professional electronic sports (esports) athletes from three major esports regions (i.e., Asia, North America, and Oceania). Fifty-six esports athletes from South Korea (N = 34), the United States (N = 7), and Australia (N = 15) comp...

are there drugs that are just helpful for gaming, like caffeine for example. Good but not that bad.
heard about nootropics
yeah nootropics like alpha smth
Genuinely feel bad for anyone that hasn’t discovered the wonders of natural supplements/nootropics. They’ve changed my life seriously
@Lobo_OW I use B complex vitamins for energy production from my food I consume. I also utilize Ubiquionol (active form of C0Q10) for energy help too and cardiovascular health. Curcumin for joint health and antioxidant support
@Lobo_OW I want to also note that I don’t use caffeine and my energy levels are great everyday. 8 hours of sleep everyday. I truly believe ALPHA GPC and lions mane offer the absolute best focus out there, way better than any caffeine or cheap energy drink could ever give you.
do you recommend any ?
alpha gpc
I've been prescribed a bunch of stimulant/"focusing" meds over the years (for medical reasons, not aim), and I did a bunch of tests in aim trainers to see if it had any impact on my scores... In my experience, there wasn't any strong correlation between performance and being on a drug. The stats showed that, if anything, I got PBs more often when I was off my meds. In my personal experience, for my brain chemistry, I didn't find drugs to help my aim.
That said, being on the right meds improved my mentality big-time, and also helped me focus better in other games, so there's probably some merits
ik to take with caution and not rely on them
@Lobo_OW L-Tyrosine (amino acid precursor to dopamine), ALPHA GPC (very important IMO) for focus, healthy brain function, and reduction on cognitive stress from weight lifting. Lions mane for fantastic focus benefits too. Ashwagahnda for stress support and sleep aid.
gale is a tsm top ow player
well former tsm now
if you dont want to rely on them why are you even thinking of trying them then
im not the type of person to rely on this stuff, i know im not gonna get addicted its just how i am. But i just wanted to try them im a curious person
🤔 if people knew they arent going to get addicted then there would be no addicts
be slightly realistic
bro chill lmao, im just curious
im chill
I have question related to the mouse and hand/arm position - When you are aiming/moving mouse on mousepad - the only one point of contact between you body and mouse& mousepad is place where you are touching mousepad? Honestly when need to "quick" and "precision" aim and move mouse only 1/2cm im using my wrist to do that - im not moving my whole arm - im doing it wrong? Should i use my whole arm even in tht case? Using wrist for that mouse move could have negative impact on health ? I open for any feedback 🙂
yeah, with me im not taking for PERFORMANCE but more focusing on specific things
i need serious help on autopilot and getting tired easily. so for the past 2 months ive been fully on autopilot mode with anything in life quite literally and i havent been able to enjoy playing games or absolutely anything literally doesnt matter i get tired like physically after like an hour of any activity wether itd be playing a comp or talking to a friend or anything i mean ive always been anti social and an introvert but it was never this extreme getting tired after talking to somebody for longer than an hour
Do you feel like you're motivated to do something or have goals of some sort? Things that give you purpose? I think it's hard to answer the question since it seems mentally and physically you get tired?
Dr K has a lot of useful videos available to everyone here's a video on burn out https://youtu.be/jqONINYF17M
I'm not a DR but if you're feeling drained it could be numerous things. If physical health is ruled out & you're healthy physically. I would be thinking more a long the lines of how your mental health is doing.
you could consider bettering diet, doing some light physical activity if you don't already and see if that helps as well
make sure you're getting enough nutrition since that has a big impact on your energy as well
i think one simple way to get off of auto pilot is do whatever you're doing with some conviction i.e you have a game you enjoy or are really into. Set a goal for that day what do you want to achieve? Do you want to learn how to play a scenario better etc. Give yourself a goal to give your mind something to focus on instead of going through the motions
i do thats the issue like i do have goals and i do have a purpose which is why i keep playing trough autopilot i always have a goal or a reason in mind when playing the game or a purpose and im also at my healthiest point of my life ive ever been in idk why man my friend told me that my stamina has fuqed itself up cuz of how much ive suffered last year but idk if that may be it i have taken a break twice ab a week each but still the same
It could be mental health related then. Again not a doctor I would recommend seeing a professional. Our mind is very powerful & can def be causing some of your problems if you're doing the rest & physically youre gucci
my parents dont believe in mental health and they think im just overreacting so professionals are never a way to go until im 18 which will be in over a year
Got a question, with me personally when im focused i don't really get an appetite or feel hungry, how important is it too eat/how much will it impact performance even if i don't feel "hungry". Do i need to set alarms to make sure im eating enough? By this i mean full meals or snacks to keep me going.
Is there a problem with consuming energy drinks/gaming Performance boosters?
Which brand can you recommend that is the "healthiest"?
yeah it happens when you play a lot on the pc you tend to forget being hungry, you can set alarms it won't hurt
in moderation its fine, i just use gfuel there's better ones out there if you want the "healthiest"
if you consume ones without sugar theyre fine for the most part
just depends on how you tolerate caffeine and frequency of consumption
heard zootropics are quite good, you can ask around which type suits what your looking for best. Taking energy drinks, if your looking for that energy boost i'd say just go with coffee as it doesn't have all the sugar in there. Plus its much more easier to track how much your having. energy drinks only have around like 30mg of caffeine rest is sugar, but a cup of coffee is around 70-100mg of caffeine, you will just feel it more with that.
i personally would not recommend those products if youre trying to be aware of your health. consuming energy drinks or boosters during a physical workout where your bodies temperature rises naturally aswell as your heartbeat vs entirely artificial boost to your heartrate while your doing sedentary work/gaming is a completely different story and i personally wouldnt recommend anything other than coffee/tea for that purpose
TLDR; energy drinks/boosters + physical activity = good. boosters + sitting and having 0 physical engagement = i wouldnt recommend.
yeah, coffee gets the job done, anymore will have more risks and the benefits to doing them arent really THAT big at all
I keep wanting to improve my posture/setup layout for both health and potential performance benefits, but I keep getting turned off by the initial discomfort combined with the dip in performance. Does anyone have experience regarding how long it takes to get back to where you were after a big change in posture?
For reference, for years I have sat at about a 45 degree angle relative to my desk, with my desk way too high based on some videos I've watched. I am trying to change to a standard "healthy" posture
i recently changed that aswell. not sure how long exactly it took since i cant remember a point when i was like "yea thats the new posture". i just switched my setup and didnt think about it anymore. just recently i discovered that the new "healthy" position that i wanted to get is now my standard posture and i couldnt get back to the lazy one without actively doing so
the performance dip itself didnt last long at all for me. maybe 2 days
sens's less than 25 cm cause fatigue on your wrist too?
congrats
Who else has a Powerball and can show me some efficient ways to use it to work on my wrist and improve my wrist strengh?
anyone have advice for ww3t im 1 off plat and ive gotten the same score of 112 5 times
how do find out best if my table is to high or if my posture is good
Shoulder blade pain on both sides for over a year I've seen doctors they told me to take breaks I can't play more than an hour anymore I had bad posture that was the cause the damage has been done I took breaks (about 3months) healed to some extent and then went back to normal pain after a week of playing keeps getting worse any advice is appreciated
check with 1hp team
also do some shoulder pain exercises
This video can help with anyone who has shoulder pain with gaming or even neck pain. It helps to address some mid-back mobility and work on key muscles at the shoulder allowing us to maintain better overall shoulder positioning and relieve any pain associated with arm aiming.

Thanks I do some exercise its gotten so bad that it bothers me nowadays will try these exercises
i guys i have a question, im 1.70 cm, how height my desk should be? thank u 🙂
Anything helps
i dont understand how people can do aim training for hours in a day. the day i train my aim, i cant play games. 1 hour of aim training leaves at least 1 day of arm and wrist pain. low sens leaves arm pain, high sens leaves wrist pain. and i am a regular gym goer.
U should check id u do daily stretches thats maybe a reason why u get pain also u need to do warm up stretches in breaks (for exampöe 15 min break after 1h-1:30 Player or multi competitive games). Check out 1hp yt
I'm back guys with another routine to help keep your guys's wrist and hands healthy. This routine is a little different as it is a FULL injury prevention routine! It involves the following types of exercises:
- Self-Massage
- Stretching
- General Coordination
- Strengthening and Endurance
The purpose of this routine is to keep your wrist/ha...
Also do strenghting routines
Does a cutting calories stunt growth? 15y/o
maybe ur just not used to it
if not ur either tensing or having a bad grip
am I technically fatiguing myself if I'm just looking at a screen for a long period of time, ofc not as much as it would be training but yeah
You probably shouldn’t limit your calories too much if you’re 15 and still want to grow - it could stunt growth depending on a whole range of variables
Of course make sure you dont get too much and at that stage, getting enough protein, vitamins and other nutritional crap is pretty good for growth
as long as u have adequate nutrient intake u can eat at a deficit without worrying about growth
provided you have spare weight to lose
obviously if ur underweight dont do this shit, ur body still needs energy to grow
but if u have spare fat, the body will use that for energy
Some good and some random supps
ltheanine 👍
holy mama
Is it fine to shower multiple times a day if I’m sweating a lot? Usually I take a 2-3 min shower in the morning just to rinse off, then another one later in the day after working out where I actually use soap and stuff
yeah its fine
if u notice ur skin or hair getting dry or stuff u might want to look into moisturisers/conditioners etc
it's recommended to use cold water rather than warm water
Yeah I use cold water or I’ll start warm and make it cold halfway in the morning
If I were to cut calories, how many calories would you recommend I cut?
My maintenance is 2395 and I don’t think 2145 is enough
dear diary: today i had the hardest triceps cramp of my life during a fucking burpee in my warmup
shit still hurts 2h later
depends on your goal. 7000 kcal roughly = 1kg of body fat. so having a deficit of 7000 kcal = 1kg bodyfat lost
with your deficit you will lose about 250g/week. if thats your goal its totally fine
most recommendations are 200-500 kcal deficit depending on your goals.
Yeah but Idk if 2145 calories are enough for me since I’m still growing
Anybody able to help with my grip suddenly getting worse?
I use a gpro with fingertip grip
I have no pain
I sometimes get a cold feeling in my wrist and forearm and very rarely my fingers swell up
also like a electric "buzz" feeling in my middle finger somtimes when touching stuff.
I've been to multiple physical therapists but havent been able to get diagnosed
Any help would be really appreciated
It's been going on for like 4 months
My fingers and wrist just feel "off"
damn
is it a good idea to use aderall when playing ranked?
if you want a quick improvement but no long term improvement then sure
i would try to avoid those things at all cost unless you have a subscription in which case you should consult your doctor on how to take it
adderral is harmful if used incorrectly
You could try the rice bucket exercises for grip strength
i think you are infected with carpal tunnel syndrome , make sure to do the carpal tunnel syndrome test's and see if u have it

A guide about training/warming up the eyes would be great!
I had similar symptoms for a short time, I used flector patches and anti inflammatory creams on wrist, lower arm and elbow
it fixed it for me but I suggest you take a break and focus on stretching a lot more than you did before
stretches that focus on whole arm movement including elbow and shoulder are preferable
when I had the "buzz" feeling it traveled all the way back to my shoulder and even towards my back, the tip of my finger felt really sensitive
it has to do something with the ulnar nerve that travels through your arm, symptoms are usually in the wrist and pinky, ring and middle finger
Tysm for the detailed response, I've tried taking breaks but my symptoms would just return. Imma try the flector patches and actually just started using anti inflammatory cream on my arm yesterday but il try applying it on my elbow and wrist.
when I had this problem I started doing all kinds of exercises and stretches and I noticed my elbow was especially "exhausted" and a bit painful too compared to everything else in my arm
the nerve that was supposedly causing trouble also runs at the bottom of the elbow
I just put one of these patches on it for the night and it felt much better the next morning
overall it took me a couple days to recover, hopefully it won't take long for you either
open your eyes
are the tendons that control my wrist muscles? can i make them stronger and less susceptible to injuries if i wrist aim without overworking them?
making any part of your body stronger will make it less likely to get injury. So yes you can strengthen them but still as soon as you feel pain from wrist aiming just stop. Id suggest using a punching bag bc its the most fun way of doing plus you get cardio, focus on "locking your wrist" so when you punch the bag your wrist doesnt bend and get injured. or one of those egg things or grip strength trainers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2XRAIiI9Rc&ab_channel=MARTiALYOU
Learn how to prevent wrist injury while punching with this quick training tip.

Is it normal to get hungry at night, but not hungry in the morning?
Last thing I ate was at 21:00, then around 3:00 I got hungry but didnt eat anything, just drank some water. Then next thing I ate was the next day 18:20, but I wasnt really hungry either.
Like this?
2:00 deepest sleep…
Yeah no, 2:00 is my wakest moment xd
Ah okay nice
What time do you get hungry?
I often can go to the evening without eating and feel no hunger
well
ive done imf and multi day fasts a fair bit so hunger is kind of just a weird mental reminder a lot of the time for me
i usually eat in the morning even if im not hungry just because it means i eat less later which means i sleep better
It’s a lot more in depth than that but yea that’s a start
If you wanna look deeper into the topic I recommend Andrew hubermans podcast
huberman lab is dope
What part of it do you mean xd
I always feel tired
I only get random moments where I get the urge to use all my muscles for a couple mins and tense everything and then low energy again xd
i get tired if i eat a lot in the morning
I usually skip morning foods nowadays
Sometimes lunch too, idk
It all feels so meaningless
i work out most days so i cant skip that much, but its usually just a protein shake or a couple fried eggs and an apple
basically just avoiding too many carbs in the morning before i work out
its not
muscle mass is overall protective of lifespan, and you obviously need protein for that
ok that means nothing though
The episodes about sleep will cover most of it
Should be 1-4 or 4-8 or sth I don’t remember exactly but it was fairly early
Been a year since I’ve watched some but they literally changed my life
Eversince Ive went to bed before 11 pm and woke up between 4-6 am
Low protein can reduce mtor activation and aid autophagy
But ig no one really knows what is best
its still irrelevant
Yeah its all a gamble
muscle mass is still far more protective
i think excessive protein is probably a negative over time
sure but we're talking about things reasonable people do
its a lot easier to eat 500g of protein a day than deal with water toxicity problems
sure, it's common for people to eat way more protein than they need (though usually not to extreme excess)
Ye
I eat meat everyday
Its good
Someday not meat
Then we eat fish
Maybe once a week
that study you posted is just some epidemiological thing
which is fairly irrelevant on an individual basis
most of the people being studied would not be trying to achieve a lot of muscle mass
so it applies differently
Its more of a hypothesis
We have to wait and see what the science will say in 30 years
i mean there is a fair bit of data around growth hormones and aging
and how protein influences that
I guess we will all have to drink whale blood
its just that the scale it effects humans isnt exactly known
Ye its best to stop human development
And slow metabolism
gl hf
Go get that c reactive oxygen out
you cant go apeshit on carbs without developing NAFL, you cant go apeshit on fats without gall bladder problems, you cant go apeshit on protein without aging fast and developing cancer or something
everything has some negative if you look for it
I went human and I got high cholesterol
And low vitamin d so I take pills 💊
Would putting a couple of CM thick pillows on my seat when gaming help my arm balance on the table? Currently my arm is like lower than the table and it causes pain =[
I sadly dont have any options to decrease table height or increase chair height =[
yeah just sit on a pillow or anything that makes you sit higher up
You do not have permission to use this command.
Your permission level is 0 (User)
This command requires level 2 (Moderator) or the BAN permission.
Is it still a good idea to still play even if your feeling sad or empty? I just randomly feel empty during the day even if nothing bad is happening to me
imo gaming just clears my mind and tryharding makes me not think about anything else but the game so yeah its not a bad idea
It depends on how the game affects you
Or how you get yourself get affected by it, more like
if ur a begginer than its better before since u will probbably get soreness
i would get a height adjustable desk/better chair, long term you prob dont want to rely on band aid solutions like sitting on a pillow
So I did one day of aimtraining
but I have serious wrist problems
so it already hurts
What do
It's feels like the inside of my wrist and not my actual wrist
its quite normal youre just training muscles and your muscles are sore now
you need rest so you can improve
approach it like you would approach any other workout
eat before practice, get the workout done, get some good rest, repeat
its not normal to take it to the point where it hurts lol
and i dont think gaming is very efficient to strengthening your wrists/forearms
depends where you start off. i certainly got sore when i practiced for mroe than 2 hours when i started.
nobody is talking about strength. its about motor control.
having bigger/stronger wrist muscles isnt gonna help you out with aiming unless you practice it deliberately
he said his wrist was hurting not sore lol, and i didnt say anything about aiming better
its to condition your arm to be able to handle that load so you can practise aiming pain free
Hey quick question I've played games with static clicking for a while cs;go and valorant. So I've been training dynamic and tracking and when I play, I play as relaxed as possible but my forearm becomes like strained/sore. Is this normal? Is my forearm just not used to moving this way and I just rest and get back to it later?
https://stevenlow.org/overcoming-tendonitis/ check this out
Update: My book on Overcoming Tendonitis: A Systematic Approach to the Evidence-Based Treatment of Tendinopathy is released! Tendonitis is one of the most pesky injuries that can plague an athletes career, which can derail both practice and performance. This article seeks to explore the mechanisms of tendonitis and how to
according to the same thing as @frozen lark wrote- should i work out before or after playing? started yesterday
@frozen lark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW_z6bCy1ZI watch this also important
How we position the aiming arm directly influences our ability to control the mouse and aim the crosshair. In this video, I talk about the vertical height of the aiming arm and how it's influenced by a desk and chair.

im new into fixing myself, thats what i found yesterday researching
Ok I have seen that video I tried to make my arm level with my desk but my elbow is still below a little
Thanks for the resources!
guys is my elbow supposed to be off the table? i like to rest it on table to be honest
really weird position this is, might need to adjust
my desk is rounded i sit in a rounded corner- not possible to get my elbow off table
one more question i asked before reapeting- should i workout my fore arm before or after gaming or twice?
anyone got idea?
probably after
cool thx
if youre doing actual difficult grip strength training youll just tire arm out and might aim worse
and there is no real downside to doing it afterwards
yes thats what i thought thanks
how should i deal with lose streaks? It really fks up my mentality and i start thinking that i will never be able to get there again
anyone know where I could submit form checks for my S/B/D?
got myself alpha gpc and something called ashwagandha
will see how the results r like
ashwagandha is awesome have been using it 2+ years now
one of my favorites
im using KSM-66 which is a patent known for high bioavailability and high concentration in case you wanna try that
certainly worth imo.
damn two years have you seen improvement the more you used it
caffeine or no?
homies in #fitness can help
caff is a really good stim. no long term side effects for most people as long as intake is moderated
but its VERY easy to build a tolerance to, so you really have to cycle it to get the most out of it
or maybe ur just askin if the other guy uses caff lol
taking caffeine breaks is important otherwise you'll have the worst headache of ur life
