do you guys get like
shoulder pain
i've been aimtraining + playing fps
i have like a shoulder pain that isnt going away.
is this normal or should i look into it
not normal, take a picture of yourself to see your posture
or just look at the pins and see what correct posture looks like
nobody has perfect posture all the time, you just need to correct the issues thats causing your pain
shrugged shoulders, too tall desk/short chair etc
ahh
i dont think my shoulder are shrugged
my chair might be too low
i sit at like mid stomach
Will being in the state of flow help me improve?
Is it like sorta on the back/shoulder pain?
What should I do about my eyes? I tend to not be able to aim train for extended periods because my eyes start to hurt.
use glasses 😄 they help me a lot
like the glasses for screens I think their called uv or will regular ones work? I do have glasses for seeing but I don't normally wear em.
You should start wearing em, at least when u using the pc. Dont know about the glasses for screens, but they might also help, anyways I´d try using the normal glasses and if that doesnt work you can always ask your oculist
@unkempt flare Also, this might help, use "vibranceGUI" , and get windows vibrance level a little bit lower. This can help if you spend many hours on your PC.
I like 78 you can try others. Hope this helps
Number of things u can do. Practice the 20-20-20 rule (20 minutes on screen then focus on something off screen approx 20 ft away for 20 sec). As diego suggested, wear glasses (specifically ones with anti-glare/blue light protection). Sit further away from your monitor and try different color settings. If your eyes are dry, clean your eyes by flushing with cold water or saline solution. Most importantly, stay hydrated and take breaks often.
If your eyes continue to hurt after doing these things, I recommend that you consult with your optometrist for more professional advice/solutions
@spark jewel look at this
Believe it or not but thats an ergonomical position
that honestly looks kinda comfortable
every couple of weeks or so i get this feeling where i just feel kinda slow and out of energy. i have a hard time focusing and if i am playing a game i will feel overwhelmed by all the sound effects etc. it almost feel like i am slightly intoxicated and worn out. dont really know what causes it as i feel like i get enough sleep. i guess it could be caused by too much gaming?
No, factors are probably: quality sleep, stress, diet, or some other health related issue, on harder days I take caffeine but days like that you can just vodreview and learn through vids or something
as depressing as this sounds i think a factor is that i dont get any sun. its literally dark outside from when i wake up to when i go to sleep
the sun goes up at like 9am and down at like 2pm, which is pretty much when i wake up.
start taking vitamin d
Honestly not that huge problem but it could definitely help, try getting up a little earlier and take a 15 minute walk outside, good for your circadian rhythm
Yeah i think that is a good idea
HealthygamerGG made a vid recently on sleep and it was a good watch, it's like 2 hours tho
Could be good watching but 2 hours 😳
I watched it while aim training and while I was trying to sleep
only have 1 monitor so multitasking is pretty annoying but i guess
having one monitor has turned my into a tabbing maniac

I play on a laptop so I feel you
when it comes to wrist stretching am i fine by stretching only my aiming arm? like i feel no need to stretch the other one
Something I do when I stretch is do the same exercise on both arms but shorter on my keyboard arm, since for me at least, I don't get left arm pain but still want to prevent it
Something i got out of this was a term for a struggle i have
”Non 24 hour sleep disorder”
Where if i go to sleep at 10pm and wake up 6am i will get tired at 11:30pm
Sounds normal
I sometimes feel tired / exhausted in the middle of the day when I finish my work. That prevents me to play or practice on Kovaks because I can't really concentrate or my aim skills derease because of that. Should I take a sleep during the day? If I do, I might sleep hours long because it's kinda difficult for me to force myself to get up from bed. I also have this issue every day in morning when I wake up on the new day (I end up taking way longer to do stuff than I am supposed to be).
how much sleep do u get on the regular
speaking of posture, my default posture at the pc is one leg tucked up on the chair, with the foot pressed against the inner thigh of the leg that has its foot on the floor (alternating legs).
assuming i get up an stretch enough, is there anything negative about sitting like this? i've tried both feet planted on the ground but it feels so awkward, not sure if i should just get used to it or stick to what i'm doing
I usually go to sleep at 23:30pm to 12am and wake up at 6am on normal days (mondays to fridays) so that's approximately 6 hours of sleep. Sorry for the late response, I have just woken up
I am not the best person to ask
But I would suggest making your sleep sched more consistent and getting a full 8 hours of sleep
Yes, i got this too. First timme i got it was due tu heavy amounts of simmracing with FFB wheel, Together with working on a PC the whole day (where you use the mouse) didnt help either, it never went away. I then went to the doctor and he told me it sounds like an inflammation. He wrote me sick for a few days and gave me some pain killers (i worked either way, because i felt bad not going to work because of too much "gaming"), but i didnt game and tried to rest my shoulder as much as possible. It went away then.
Now, i came back to R6 and started aimtraining, i did way too much. Hours per day, gaming + aimtraining, and the pain comes back.
Only way is to rest it for a few days and take some painkillers/anti-inflammatory.
Watch on your body / health! Take breaks if your body tells you he need some!
Mate, i have a very fked up sleep schedule, but im an idiot and never go to bed earlyer, even if i know i should...
Sometimes i take a nap after work for an hour or two. But getting 8hrs of sleep in one piece would be the much better option. I hope i can overcome this anytime soon... you should too. 🙂
Meh, that means less time for me to play. Was planning to grind a lot and try to get good very quick when I bought / downloaded 6 new games (l4d2, b4b, apex, valo, project zomboid and kovaks)
Maybe I should do that though. I legit can't remember when was the last time I went properly to bed and sleep solid 8 hours and wake up early with no issues
Feels like a distant dream
hey there i got question bout my wrist. so this past month for daily i've been using kovaak for an hour to challenge myself and adapt to my new lower sens so im kinda not used to aiming with my forearm. and these couple of day i've been feeling weird around my wrist i got a sensation like tired muscle that you usually got after working out during playing kovaak or any fps games generally. and i do some yoga and always do a wrist warmup and stuff so i wont get carpal tunnel. also i've tried taking days off to rest my wrist but this weird sensation keep on coming. any of you guys ever experience this or got any idea on hot to prevent it? (sorry if my english is kinda messed up not my first language)
does your warmup include strengthening exercises? you are probably just not used to the new load
not a good idea to push through the weird sensation though
anyone knows why I have pain in the back between my shoulder blades when train for a long period of time ?
Most likely muscle strain from sitting with bad posture for too long
can caffeine negatively affect my progression?
dumb question if anyone knows somehow, could breathing problems cause issues with aim?
If you have breathing problems the last worry you should have is your aim 💀
And could you specify exactly what kind of breathing problems you have?
If it’s severe enough to impair brain function then prob
💀
o k
na I have breathing issues as in some sinuses not working and can only breathe with one nostril due to deviated septum
sometimes i feel like i dont get enough air in some static scenarios because I focus so much on hitting my shots
hmm https://www.inchcalculator.com/desk-height-calculator/ is this reliable ?
It's more or less accurate but what I mean by bad posture is primarily head and neck position
Because usually when I do static for too long my shoulder starts burning
Maybe you're tensing your shoulder too hard in static scenarios?
Because I'm slightly lifting my arm I think
If it's pain between the shoulder blades it's most likely due to sitting hunched over for long periods of time
As per your original post is it mainly pain between your shoulder blades or also elsewhere?
mainly between shoulder blades
Okay is it tightness and soreness?
yeah I think so, when I put my head toward the floor I feel it more
Okay so I'm going to say it's prob rhomboid strain
So u can do stretches for the rhomboids and neck and see if it helps
Rhomboid muscle pain may be caused by overuse or injury to the muscle. A minor injury will usually resolve in a few days. A more serious injury can take several months to recover. Learn how to identify and treat this type of pain, including seven exercises and stretches you can use to improve your recovery.
There are some YouTube videos for stretches as well but if the discomfort doesn't get any better, I'd suggest taking a break from aim training for a bit
Yeah I think you figured it out I can feel it with these stretches
Thanks a lot man
Is it okay to take a 3 month break from gaming? because lately I've been experiencing some CTS symptoms.
If you have to, yes of course.
Sometimes it can end up being beneficial
ok thx
what kind of symptoms? rest usually isnt enough either
if its actually cts id go to a physio because its gonna affect your whole hand function in life not just gaming
Like needles pricking ur fingers and week grip
yeah go to a physio
How do I know I'm using my eye-drops correctly? I'm not sure cause my eyelid get wet as well
As long as the eye drop solution is making contact with your eye and dropped under the lower lid you're using them correctly
Make sure to look up when dropping and aim for the drops to land in the outer corner of the eye
How can I be sure if it landed in the correct part? I close the eye after it and I'm never sure if it landed on the eye or eyelid.
Try your best not to blink after dropping but ideally u should be able to feel when the eyedrops are making contact with your eye
Like ur vision blurs when the solution makes contact with ur eye because there is eyedrop solution in ur eye
And ur eyes feel hydrated after
It's best to close ur eyes and keep them closed for around 30 seconds to a minute after several drops into the eye
Triple??? Why do you need that much caffeine
And no
Trying to improve my posture. Lifted my chair a bit that the armrests are level (or slightly higher) with my desk (used to be 2cm lower). I normally get shoulder blade pain in the back or a stiff neck after extensive hours as I always find myself leaning in to focus more.
After the change and trying to keep good posture I feel stiffness in my neck and back left shoulder blade.
How can I go about maintaining a good posture setup and not feeling stiff/pain in those areas?
Id just need a small loan of 3 trillion dollars
I got a secret lab titan chair
i wanna die
i needa join the 215 club
any tips
the what
Stretch ur neck and upper back (maybe do stretches focused primarily on the trapezius or rhomboids as those are the most common muscles that can cause neck stiffness)
If I'm not mistaken, the Secret Lab Titan has adjustable lumbar support, so adjust it to where it can be comfortable for you to sit with proper posture
hey, idk if that belongs here but there are a lot of "Eyeball Exercise" videos out there, and I was wondering if they actually have some benefits?
I trained my eyes for ONE WEEK! Did it help my aim? (Aim Guide)
In this video I talk about eye training in video games. I go through four exercises everyday before getting on and give you an in-depth look on how they helped me and what they are all about, what they have to offer, and show my progress from before and after the video. If you stru...
made by a member from this discord, staff
it does help yes
Thanks! Will surely watch the Video :)
AYO I GOT THE SAME EXACT MS AFTER RETRYING ALMOST A YEAR LATER LMAOOOO
its cold rn and whenever i go outside and go back to home and sit on pc i literally cant move my fingers properly like they are frozen even when my hands get cold, and they feel stiffy
Hey,
i suffer from a problem that keeps holding back my aim. It's the issue of not having confidence in my aim. I look at the clips i made and i just think what happened that i just whiff so much. Can anyone help me out?
Hey hey, this seems to mostly be a mental issue. A method to overcome it is to adaquetly warm up before you games. Try and get somewat comfortable with your aim before you get into ranked.
And just curious what game do you mostly play?
valorant
its just like i went from s3 to d3 in one act
and as soon as i hit d1 everything just went downhill
aim, movement, gamesens, i started being toxic all that shit idk
Yeah one thing that will get you nowhere is being toxic
Teammates are a factor you can’t do anything about. They are out of your reach, being toxic will not help anyone, but really just ruin it for everyone. Try your best to ignore your toxic teammates and try not to be toxic in return to other players.
There can be a chance they automatically wake up to save the game
Thats what i mean. I never raged about it
But since a couple of weeks everything is just pissing me off
Does this include other stuff as well? Excluding the game?
idk never paid attention to that
my problem is the confidence
and sometimes i just randomly zone out
im literally like standing still and everything blurs
nope
Its just that on some days im literally an aimgod, onetapping everyone
same in deathmatch
as soon as i load into a comp game
im just trash
question. a lot of ppl say that u should relax your hand/arm while aiming which I understand cos u shouldnt tense it. how much should i relax it? 100%? 90%? cos the thing is i relax it, but i could relax it more, tho it makes it harder to aim. is that just a thing u get used to/over or is that "too much" relaximg?
the reason for asking is cos i get thumb pain when playing, starts small after around an hour and after two its not unplayable but hurts. should i start stretching, or what else can i do?
thanks!
blink, take a small break every 15-20min away from the monitor, eyedrops
I mean yeah that makes sense.
i read somewhere that reaction time degrades with like 1ms per year as you get older
dark themes
my reaction time seems to have improved
last year tried it out and got like 240ms avg this year
im getting like 170-200
well a good setup impacts it a lot
like monitor, mouse etc.
So whenever I kovaaks, my forearm starts to feel a little pain mid challenge and its kinda getting on my nerves. I stretch before I train, i get 6-8 hours of sleep and do lifting. I still cant find out any other issue that could make this happen.
could it be you are cramped? I have some issues as well, i push the mouse button so hard that i get cramped a bit. I then have to remind me that i dont need to use so much muscle power to hold a 60g mouse and click
i mean i sorta trained my self not to hold the mouse very hard and click force fully
also, possible tendon sheath inflammation. maybe you should take a few days off from training / gaming?
well i dont really play anything anymore, i havent trained on kovaaks for 2-3 days
I mean nothings really changed besides my mouse which went from gpw to gpw x superlight
my shoulder hurts alot when playing kovaaks. any tips. im 100% im keeping posture when playing
try streching
maybe glasses?
Dont think that changes anything no.
I need to get my eyes tested -50ms vrt
Which mouse would be better for mcp claw(19x10), Ive tried about 10 different mice and most of them end up straining my fingers/ulnar side of my wrist after awhile(I take breaks after every game for a few minutes and also do the stretches in resources before/after my gaming sessions). Is there any mice that would fit my grip the best and would lowering/raising my sens possibly help(I play around 29-39cm)
gpx is worth a try
I have the gpx, its probably the best ive used so far besides hati-s but I still start getting sore after about 2-3 hours
Ty tho
ive heard washing your hands in hot water b4 u play may help
Fr? Interesting guess ill try that thanks lol
ye i always thought i should try it my self, never got the chance or i was 2 lazy to walk to the sink
I'll for sure try this and see if it changes anything, can kinda understand how it would help
Anyone here got any tips to deal with shoulder pain? Had it for like 3-4 days now.
https://youtu.be/rjMu52XEX0I try this one
This video can help with anyone who has shoulder pain with gaming or even neck pain. It helps to address some mid-back mobility and work on key muscles at the shoulder allowing us to maintain better overall shoulder positioning and relieve any pain associated with arm aiming.
0:51 ROUTINE STARTS HERE
0:54 Standing Open Books 1 Minute
1:54 Thora...
hello i have been getting some pain in my hand here:
is this something i should worry about, the pain comes in short "bursts" and its about 10 min in-between each "burst"
yes, you probably strained your TCL
most of the time its cause by tensing up too much when playing games
tensing comes from less control over your sens (most of the time too high)
which can lead to this kind of injury
you should take a pause for a couple days
use a bandage/brace to immobilize your muscle
and if possible lower your sens if its too high
I recently found out that whenever i gripped my mouse, only half of my wrist was touching the mousepad
the other half was sticking out in the air
I've had wrist pain in the past, could this have been the problem?
I have a question
so I was looking at the health daily routine from #resources
whats the health benefit from drinking a Hot beverage in the morning?
I don’t know about the health benefit but for me it wakes me up
Also might be an easier way to keep yourself hydrated in the morning
Depending on the person
hot water in the morning it says can induce sleep aids constipation improves blood circulation, and digestion. helps with weight loss. Alleviates pain. prevents premature aging
Idk if this is the reason but I assume a hot beverage may have the same effects if this site is right lol
that was just from quick google search
Yeah I think blood circulation is the one I and most ppl can relate to
I have some big issues with my eyes. Every time I play Kovaks, my eyes start to strain and lose their focus (target gets less sharp and more blurry). I am wearing glasses and this gives me a lot of trouble. It's not just in Kovaks but I notice that issue mostly there
Are you blinking enough?
this is due to not blinking enough, im the same as you. another thing is that it can be due to zoning out, i do this a lot. if you notice it happening go and get yourself some water to wake yourself up a bit
@lunar epoch @velvet spindle never really payed attention. Let me go into a game and see if I do
need help, the muscle encircled is really tight and hard after aim training. My right shoulder feels like a rock compared to how my left shoulder feels like when squeezed. How do i fix it?
Blinking and maybe start doing eye stretches may help
you could try to get rid of the tight muscles with a lacrosse ball and applying pressure, as to the cause its probably due to posture
forward head/shrugging/tensing your shoulders
and if your chair is too low or desk too high then you are forced to play with a bad posture thats causing it
Looks like your trapezius muscle so I'd suggest doing stretches which focus on relief of that area (primarily forward, and side stretches of the neck like ear to shoulder). Additionally, as @pulsar niche suggested, u can use a lacrosse ball or tennis ball to massage ur traps.
This is a GAMING POSTURE CHECK. You have reached a 1HP internet rest stop. Please watch this short video to reset your posture and learn the important factors to consider with your posture and how it can help you play more & hurt less.
In this video I review 6 points associated with posture
- Neutral Lower Back & Pelvis
- Mid-Back & Shoulder...
i dealt with very tight traps before, they felt rock hard
lacrosse ball was the only thing that was able to release them only after that stretches helped
idk is it a right place to ask,but someone using sedative while playing val? Will it help me to avoid tilt and it aftereffects?
I would strongly recommend against using any sort of recreational drugs for gaming unless u already have some sort of pre-existing health condition to where prescription medication is needed to function normally. If u are taking drugs, sedatives especially, there's most likely going to be more harm than good that comes out of it if u aren't prescribed to take it already.
Give this a read:
https://www.everydayhealth.com/sedatives/guide/
Maybe you have another options how to fix my mental
My mental is so bad atm, i just want to kms after gaming, cause im playing like shit
And idk why im playing like shit, i think it's also mental related, but i can't fix it
Break won't help me
Cause after break i will play even worse, and it will tilt me even harder
Okay, my advice to you, is to actually take a break from gaming in general. Take some time to think things through and focus on a change in mindset before going back to gaming.
However, I believe that this is something that would be best brought up with a psychologist or psychiatrist as I feel that it's a more sensitive topic that needs more professional advice than I can offer.
I'm really sorry I can't be of any more help and this might not be the advice that you're looking for. But please do not take any recreational drugs as an "easy" way of fixing your mental. Unless otherwise prescribed clinically, I strongly suggest you don't take drugs as it can get dangerous very quickly.
good general advice from bAim, also ive just accepted that certain comp games for me will never work and i just quit them completely
yea dont take sedatives for valorant kek
sorry for the late reply, i slept. how do i massage that part with a tennis ball? do i just roll it? Unfortunately, based on the sticky, my chair is too low for my desk and the side arm doesn't go up to support my elbows. I'm planning on buying another chair and desk in the future.
u can sit on pillows/cushions
tho sometimes its not that comfy
depends on what u got
a tennis ball is probably too squishy, you want to put pressure on the muscle for good 30-60 seconds until it releases
i mean you can use your hands but if its really knotted it takes a lot of pressure
nah tennis balls arent that squishy i think
so its easy to just lean on a lacrosse ball for example
no harm in trying if you already have one anyway
yup
that's acutally what i've been doing since the gas thing that's keeping my office chair up is broken.
yea im planning on it
but yeah man thats gonna just cause the issues in the future i didnt even read the full message
you are forced to shrug your shoulders most likely
for most people u want to be as high as u can without crushing ur legs into ur desk
and thats why your traps get tight
i'll try to buy a lacrosse ball
like the gap between ur desk and ur legs should be as small as comfortably possible
for gaming at least
get a new chair as soon as you can
a thin desk is nice too
mm
its not so much features or whatever (other than back/height adjustment)
its like overall qualities and design stuff that cant really be adequately explained other than people's general opinion or trying it urself
a good lumbar support is nice, the gaming racing chairs usually have the band aid fix of a pillow which is just garbage
i hate this topic because i obviously have a bias towards really expensive chairs
and people usually dont have that budget
though buying them used is recommended aswell
yeah sadly. Can you recommend the most affordable chair you can think of that has that qualities?
where you from?
Philippines
what can i do if my arm/elbow shaking in tracking scen but in games
Are you tensing up or pressing downwards too much on your mouse and pushing it into your mousepad?
Is it shaking in both tracking scens and games?
Is your sens too high ?(less than 20cm/360 )
Is your arm rested on the table when you aim?
Do you tense or have a strong mouse grip?
can i write in german or english
just in kovaak scenario, my sens is 25-40cm i guess and my half arm is on the table. I use most palm or claw grip
Cleared in dms. Its most likely due to a tense mouse grip.
Any advice on how to make my hands not sweaty whilst im gaming?
Well some people sweat more some sweat less.
The only real thing you can do i guess is to keep your room cool (or wear less).
If this impacts your aiming you could consider getting mouse grip tape.
i use a creme like baby powder
I was just using baby powder seems to do the trick
Guys, I have these symptoms, what is it?
-Very fatigue
-Decent shortness of breath
-Occasional random headache, also almost always headache after walking for an hour
-Feel very weak, muscles quickly sore too
-Pain in left-bottom of chest, feels underside of left ribs
-Feels slightly swollen at bottom side of left ribs (muscle imbalance or enlarged spleen or smth? idk… google comforted me and said it could also be heart attack or pancreatic cancer)
1 month ago, cholesterol was too high and vitamin d way too low. I eat less fat and take vitamin d supplement since then.
What is the diagnosis?
I don't seem to have energy in the mornings even with good sleep, I only have the most energy before bed I notice this is a normal thing for my friends too but I don't know the reason why
Cognitively I'm at my best between 21:00-00:00, Sleep at 00:30
We are no doctors. If you have severe issues, then visit one.
Doctor just said its prolly stress, I see thet often, get outof my room
So I hope for a second opinion
Maybe someone here has medical experience
Given so many thousand of people in this server, surely one of them has medical experience
I mean, you don't know how has one or not and even then, they are either not allowed or can't diagnose you without seeing you in person.
There is so much background staff that can impact your status
If the doctor says, it's stress then do stuff to counter it.
Like working out or meditation
Even recheck on your nutrition and see if there are issues there. Not enough (healthy) fat, can cause issues or not enough calories.
Enough and high quality sleep
Like I said I hope for second opinion
I don’t hope for this unneeded criticism
I don’t feel stress at all, the doctor just said it probably unconscious stress but I doubt it
sounds like you might wanna find another doctor
also fwiw dietary fat isnt a direct contributor to cholesterol
Well it is in a way
nor is high "cholesterol" technically a bad thing
High ldl cholesterol is a bad thing in general
And my mother’s side of family has a history of cholesterol issue
at least from what ive discussed with docs n stuff
but ye if ur doctor just says "stress" when u dont think it is, finding another doc to look deeper into it might be a good choice
Safe to eat 20 fish fingers in one meal?
idk
it has been consumed, point of no return
ded
its fine unless you eat it every meal
damn i havent had fish fingers in so long
but uh how to get motivation to lose hella weight
any idea why my eye lid is twitching
oh caffeine maybe but i only go up to 140 a day at most
There's alot of things that can cause eyelid twitches. Could be stress or fatigue, but I doubt it's caffeine cuz I'm pretty sure 140 mg is within the normal range for most adults. If ur eyes have other symptoms like dryness, redness, or other irritation, it might be something more specific to eye health
it's only one eye as well
kinda weird
happens on occasion and kinda new
I'll see if it keeps happening
Usually stress, used to happen to me at a job i hated
is it bad that my wrists pop every time i extend their range of motion? like while doing sagittal hang loose stretches, my wrists pop every single time on thumb sided joint
also i drink a ton of gfuel and feel no effect, am i likely just "immune to caffeine" from the gene ~10% of people have? or is my tolerance just so high that i dont feel it?
i don't get fatigued when i come off caffeine, nor do i feel a high while im on it. at least not any that i notice.
that is tolerance and if you take a break from using caffeine it will come back to normal levels, works like a drug because it is one
then why do i feel no effect, even after i took a break from it for months and went back to it
might just have a genetic predesposition to not having caffeine side effects, but not getting any positive effect and continuing to use it sounds addictive
tbh i drink gfuel for the flavor because i drink all the juice in my house within a day of getting it, i've quit it completely with no problem before though. if there's something flavored to drink, i choose it over caffeine.
but you may be right, it could be a subliminal addiction that i'm just in denial over
as long as it doesnt have any negative effects for you as a person its fine
Gaming boosters overrated i just drink water 100% better
legit nothing affects my aim as much as kcal intake. if im on a deficit from 500-800kcal/day my scores go down 10-20%
i perform better when sleep deprived than being undercaloric the day before
800kcal is way too much. Even for people wanting to lose weight, the common guideline is like 500~ below
dont worry
ive been doing this for 20 years now
try to falsify the 500kcal deficit statement
it doesnt make sense.
true gamer juice
0 cal
i have a problem where whenever i hop in game my hands get cold and sometimes sweaty. i bought a hand warmer but my hands will still feel cold even after a while of using it, it usually takes a whole ranked game for them to feel normal. how fix
Well unless your room is cold or you were outside beforehand this seems rather unusual to me.
Maybe do some streching and physical body warmup if it really bothers you.
Does carpal claw grip cause tunnel syndrome ? I have kinda that grip (or not, i'm not sure), but mouse bumps into short muscle (under big finger) so could it cause problems in future ?
i have a really healthy lifestyle but my aim is straight garbage
i have 4h on Kovaaks but i cant seem to improve
and i always play some csgo deathmatches
before rankeds
4 Hours is nothing tbh, I didnt start seeing decent improvement until I was 25 hours deep into being serious about making my aim better, you arent going to become an aim god in a week it takes time and effort
so its about building up consistent aim and reflexes and practicing every day
its like any other sport or physical activity, consistent practice will make you improve I recommend reading the Aim Journey guide in #resources if you havent already
Is GABA help reaction time?
tips on sleep without melatonin
the same stuff everyone else always repeats
u just have to take it srsly
genuinely, screen off 1hr before you sleep, have a consistent bed time, eat better, exercise, etc
I do all those except for consistent bed time, cuz one day I’ll work from 6am and next day from 3pm

this was pretty informative if you wanna go in depth with a lot of stuff
maybe finding new employment could be a priority of yours, especially if detrimental to your sleep
also if you're regularly caffienated, try a week off or so
some people dont realise how impactful it is until they actively avoid it
meal timing is also really important ime
but some people also sleep better with a meal before bed
personally i avoid food for a good while before bed, especially carbohydrates unless im working out closer to bed
something people dont talk about as other stuff is the light exposure stuff
light early on in the morning timed with ur circadian rythmn is pretty potent it seems
(and less light in the evening)
and yeah my caffeine is really bad
try a couple weeks off and see how you go
gonna be so rough but I know I should
the response to caffeine between people is actually really variable just because of how different people process it
you might be on the slower end so it'd be wise to limit intake and time it earlier on
or you might not be
always good to test it out and be sort of self-experimental in a good way
I definitely need to change some things up
I feel like I live a healthy lifestyle but with combination of weird work hours and caffeine sleep just becomes so shit
and when I sleep like 9+ hrs I feel worse then when I slept 4
ye well
u gotta consider sleep quality as well
which caffeine can disrupt a lot of
my goal is really just to get a decent 7hrs and try to get it almost regardless of when I get
and it’s a little optimistic bcs if you wake up at 10 every day and then gotta get up at 4 it’s gonna be weird but
but I’ll have a look at the vid ty tho
Is it just me, or is there a bruise there?
Not sure how high your caffeine intake is, but going from a lot to zero can give you withdrawal symptoms. What you can do is you reduce your intake over time until you get to a point, where you go for a bit without. That way it's more manageable.
There are studies on how it's better to delay the first coffee for a bit after waking up, so like drinking it like 2h after waking up instead of instantly
That way you can cut off some of the early day caffeine.
but right when you wake up is when you need it the most lol
If you have decent sleep, it should not be as bad, but I definitely feel you.
Make sure to follow the 90min sleep rule, so you don't wake up in the middle of a deep sleep phase
how long should i rest if my fingers feel stiff as hell lol
Do stretches and rest for atleast the rest of the day
okk
I sometimes have stiff fingers when I first hop in so I just crack them and stretch
okk
Hi, I have some strain on my shoulder. The thing is I don't play vaaks a lot
barely played under an hour today
I can't take sessions longer then an hour or it will ache me even after I get off.
Is it normal for the middle joint of one thumb to be a lot less flexible than the other?
Late reply, but have you tried any shoulder stretches? Also are you doing any other physically strenuous activities that may cause the shoulder strain (i.e. weightlifting, etc.)? If you can't do long sessions for aim training, it could be the way you're positioning your shoulder and the amount of tension you're putting on the joint that could be causing muscle strain.
I'd suggest changing the way you're positioning your body and shoulder if it is in a suboptimal position, ergonomically, and incorporating stretching routines before, during, and after aim training.
"I have gotten Nova, but at what cost...?"
It's hard to tell from a picture, but it just looks like a slightly darker patch
doesn't hurt or anything, so I'm not too concerned atm. I still do my stretches anyways
I think if you get random bruises, it could be a sign of lacking a certain nutrient
I just don't remember what that nutrient was
is it colleen?
?
what is that
I only know the colon
But anyway I think if it keeps popping up randomly without injury/pain you should get that checked
I have the name wrong most likely lol
Vitamin K? And could also be an issue caused by a coagulation disorder, although it's relatively rare ofc.
Standard disclaimer about what I just said: it's always important to remember that only your GP/doctor can diagnose such a thing and no one on the internet either could diagnose you as well as your GP/doctor (and if they could, they wouldn't cuz they shouldn't).
^ thats why I said it "could" but if the problem persists the dr has the best diagnosis
Fair ye, although wasn't really saying that about what you said but mainly about what I said or as a general statement.
Was vitamin k the one you were thinking of, though?
I think so, but not 100%
How can I stop my fingers getting soar from playing games? Whenever I play I always need to take them off my keyboard to crack and after like 2 minutes again my fingers don’t feel comfortable and I have fixed my posture etc I don’t know the problem is
this part of my arm hurts
when i move my wrist downwards
like the top tendon feels really sore
I will start doing stretches. No, I don’t do exercises that strain the shoulder
Can you send me an article or a video about effective stretches
thx
There are several
Anyone else get motion sickness in the tracking tests? Any ways to alleviate this lol?
I dont get sick actually playing any games :\
went through a nose surgery and im contemplating whether i should bother with kovaaks when i can only breathe from my mouth or just wait till i can properly breathe
lost a lot of blood so sort of dizzy as well
is it bad that ive been awake for 9+ hours and havent drank any water
Yes
Why does this part of my right arm hurt so much when I aim train but not when I play
Very odd
I have pain here when I do kovaaks/play Valorant. I use fingertip grip and my mouse is Razer viper. What can I do? Any tips? I always stretch before playing too
on your keyboard hand?
Is it normal to get nauseous when doing tracking scenarios lol
No, please get that checked out
how would I get it checked out
Just be honest and talk to a dr, or you can google and see if you have more symptoms from certain conditions/health problems
Could be a severe lack of sleep too ig
i feel damn sleepy all the time even after getting 8h of proper sleep
it's been happening since i fixed my sleep schedule
bro i be gettin 13h of sleep and still feel like a grandma
4:51AM
Order melatonin
sleeping too much is a thing, or waking up during the wrong stages of sleep
@lunar epoch @velvet spindle So after approximately a week here is my report. I started sleeping for 8 hours and go to sleep at 22pm instead of 12am. On top of that I am was more aware of blinking and throughout the day while I would be walking or wait for the bus and etc I would do eye excercises. Out of all, sleep was most useful. I feel like just doing that for 1 week straight already granted me results. Not tremendously big ones but I was able to look at my monitor without the need of glasses because usually when I try to, everything becomes small and unsharp. And generally overall I could focus on more areas that my eye vision would usually struggle to do so. Wanted to share you guys my experience after trying out your suggestions
is smegma forming after long sessions of apex normal?
i think it has to do with stress caused from the game
gonna sleep 30 mins earlier and waking up 30 mins later
Could be that you are tensing up for longer periods of time, as you get constant action compared to when you just play normally
Yeah sounds like it, had the same issue once, it only occures when i was playing clicking scenarios though, i Wrote “relax your arm” on a postit and put it on my monitor to keep reminding myself to relax - it worked for me, so it might do for you aswell
Also remember to stretch out before you start playing, especially around your Elbow/shoulder, your arm Will Feel less tense by doing that
It might also just be a posture issue, try moving the monitor closer to you and tilt the screen as much as possible, position it as low as it goes. You Will naturally relax more, as you Can sit back in your chair properly
Atleast that works for me xd
i use systane idk if its good
i just started using it
but i dont feel anything bad, and its just something my mom bought me
What’s the best option if I’m getting a little pain in my right forearm
Like what stretches
I really been feeling down about my ability to play and idk I just don't know how to push forward
finding people to play with helps alot on motivation imo, if you don't really feel like playing, try spending some time away from the game doing something else, start doing physical exercise, it helps clear your head, and has an impact on your performance in-game aswell. don't compare yourself to others, there will always be someone better than u, so in the end its gonna get demotivating to think about. eventually you can try and record gameplay and look back at your recordings to see what you could have done better in that situation (positioning, crosshairplacement, comms with team, etc.)
if i start feeling strain in my forearm i try stretching out my arm as far as possible, then start rolling my wrist around, another thing you could try is simply stretch arm forward, position your hand in a 90degree angle (or as close as you can) with fingers fully stretched. then take your left hand and pull back slowly, this works primarily for the underside of the forearm though. another thing you could try, is relax your arm abit more, try and focus on not being too tense when playing for longer periods of time
ive been starting to feel some tensed up pain in my shoulder blade area and neck area after playing for a bit, i try my best to make sure to not tense up while playing or etc to prevent and more strain currently but its not really helping. any suggestions on what could help?
have a look at how you sit by your monitor, look at your posture, try raising your chair a bit so the desk is a bit lower, or the other way around
so ive actually been looking into that, my chair is below my desk by a little
so i dont play in an amazing posture but it wasnt hurting till now
What’s the best way to find people to play with? I struggle socially a bit, my current friends never play games competitively or they all suck. What’s peoples go to to finding teammates? Idk if this is the right channel
joining a team or an organisation is a great way to find new people to play with, who wants to play competetively. another there are also discords for people looking for players, i left the org i was part of aabout 2 months ago, and i still play with the people from there, more casually than before ofc... its just a matter of finding a great community with likeminded people tbh
it would come with time, it might also be that you just need exercise or dont stretch out now and then
not necessarily, it could just be bbecause you dont get enough blood out to your fingers - i never thought about that tbh, gonna see if i get red marks aswell now hahaha
That’s the thing, I want to join a org but idk where to start looking for one
yeah dont overdo kovaaks, xd
if you play apex, there are discord servers like VNM, Battlecord, and some other scrim/tournament discords, idk about other games, as apex and northstar is the only fps i really play
How can u even be iron deficient
Like every fortified food has it
Unless ur a female
Cuz menstruation will do it
Get it in ya
Daily stretches, and try not to stay in one position for extended periods of time
my dad had an iron deficiency aswell, it occurs for males, but not as frequent xd
was constantly tired, had bloodsamples taken because i thought i had it aswell, found out it was just my ADHD which i didn't know i had
i wasn't part of a medical insurance company
so
now i pay phat bank for my meds
it fucking sucks
i live in denmark, got everything going pretty fast + free xd
except for meds
because i dont have private health insurance, if i had i would get cashback for my meds once a year, but thats if i have it before being diagnosed
but the pills are like 50gbp every month so far, and im still on small dose of 10mg
Eat healthy fats like avocado and cook with olive oil
Avocado 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 🥰 🥰 🥰 😍 😍
How can anyone not
Avocado on nice bread with a fuck ton of salt
🤤
Also if you're struggling to get calories in, consuming some of ur food as liquid can help
Easier to get down
Even just drinking a good few glasses of milk a day is an option
True. I guess I just feel like I am wasting my time sometimes
So if I do a hand exercise before training I notice my aim becomes very shaky and the only way to stop the shaking is to really tense up my hand, is this the cause of not doing hand exercise enough or something I cant think of?
Hmmm
I've been to a few and going to at least 1 is game changing
Awesome Thankyou
I know the feeling, i usually just “get away” from my pc for a day or two. I usually plan out every day beforehand both with job and sparetime where i mostly just play videogames, often i just Think about random shit i gotta do the next day and just keep thinking ahead, that really helped me to not Feel like i was Waiting time
Any time
Maybe i'll take a break and play some single player games
I usually plug in a controller, sit back and play some steep, that game is therapeutic!
Ic
Anyone know why my wrist can hurt without doing anything intensive for the whole week
@flint elbow
Has anyone tried testing their aim performance while fasting? (Water fast, not dry)
I’ve heard that while the body is in Lego, the brain feels more clear and people feel more focused. So I’m curious if it has a positive effect for aiming. Not that I think you shouldn’t eat to increase performance.
@pseudo meadow What kind of voodoo logic is that?
Wdym?
Your stamina and reaction times will be optimal when you have a healthy nutritious diet
I would think that assuming proper electrolyte intake, your reaction time wouldn’t decline.
I think the logic is fine. The question is does it positively or negatively affect aim performance.
My assumption is that it can.
But I haven’t tested it or anything so that’s why I’m asking.
Just play reaction tasks and avoid large amounts of sugar
unintentionally did this for parts of last year and yeah my mental was gone when I got really hungry
It's been proven that large intake of sugar harms your reaction time
while it looks promising that reaction tasks improve your reaction time but only for around 10 minutes or so, but if you do it regularly you could actually improve your reaction time
Was that before or after your body transitioned to fat for fuel?
also be sure to just stay hydrated and that's about it
I don't know the science behind it but all I can say is that at around 8 hours I would start to get hungry and then my mental would go because I was more focused on wanting to eat then what was in front of me
I really like food though so it may be different in your circumstances
Idk. Usually after 18-20 hrs I would start to get headaches and stuff. But it can be fixed I think with electrolytes and water.
gotcha. I guess the only other thing I can say is try it out and see how you respond just make sure the rest of your diet is good
yeah. I might try it and see whenever I do my next extended fast.
Hi everyone, im having trouble with monitor position and distance. I've read in the resources tab and forums everywhere all over the internet that I should maintain posture and proper distance from my monitor (currently using a 27' and staying at least 30cm away from my monitor). Since then I've spent around 1 year being very strict and attentive to how I should be sitting and it's been affecting my performance in game. I've been panicking more, I can hardly see targets on screen and can't react properly. I tried reverting back to my usual posture (eyes are closer to the monitor and im leaning forward) and i noticed that because I can see targets better, i hit more shots and track better. Is it okay that I just sit as comfortably close to my monitor?
@glass coral have you checked your vision?
if you have myopia (nearsightedness) then getting glasses and keeping a healthy distance is def better
if not it might be a focus issue, try eye exercises maybe
I have prescription glasses and I am near sighted
even with my glasses on it's like that
I'll try doing more eye exercises then
thank you
same 😩 hate being nearsighted
what kind of eye exercises? i have the same issue never thought about fixing it.
i usually use a sort of palm claw hybrid grip but whenever i try a more aggressive claw grip the top of my forearm starts to get really sore and hurt quickly, is there anything ican do to prevent this or is it even worth it
my eyes become blurry in tracking tasks, but not in ts or clicking
just bought a new chair due to shoulder pain. I usually play that way(see pics below), but i yrs later my right shoulder had started to hurt. Now, I'm trying to sit better while playing. I'm trying to stick to 90 degree angle with my elbow being supported by the arm rest. It sucks tho. It feels like my arm and shoulder gets tired more
hard to tell from this picture but why are you flaring your arms out like that?
and is your desk too tall? are you shrugging your shoulders
that's the old way i sit. i flared out my arms cause the chair's gas lift was broken thus being too short for the table
now i bought a new chair with adjustable arm rest but by trying to rest my elbows on the armrest and keeping a 90 degree angle it feels weird and causes me pain or for my arm to get tired.
it doesnt work for everyne, i keep them more at like 100-110 degrees and it works better for me
i sit as close to my desk as possible with forearms supported on the table not the arm rests
qhwn i wake u7p my arms dont work properly why
if ur just "bad" in the morning thats normal
My belly keeps making sounds
With my throat
Is it ok?
I just ate a big shoarma
you didnt try fixing the funny feeling?
no stretches, exercises to condition the wrist?
if not then i suggest checking some stretches on the pins AND do wrist and reverse wrist curls + neutral wrist curls
Wrist pain is by far the MOST common complaint I get when I work with pros and gamers. And the first thing they often encounter online are resources telling them to rest, brace, just do stretches! Sorry, that’s not going to help in the LONG run. These are just methods for short-term relief. I’m Dr. Hwu, and I’m the esports injury doctor. Over th...
Has anyone experienced slight thumb pain from aim training? It's like a constant pain whenever I use my thumb (the one I grip the mouse with). Not a lot but still worrying. I've read online about carpal tunnel and such but it doesn't get better or worse over night, when relaxing it, using it or stretching. I've been going a bit hard on kovaaks the last few days though and can imagine that's the cause.
So has anyone experienced something like that before or knows what might help with that?
do it consistently for a few weeks before giving up
is there a way one can maintain a good posture yet be relaxed?
well
if you have bad posture, it wont be natural for you to have good posture, so correcting it will require you to be aware a lot, but once it becomes a habit its no different from how you are now?
not too sure if this is a health related question, but does anyone have any advice for growing mindfulness. I realize that in and out of game I could use some help with being aware, so I'd appreciate any point in the right direction, thank you.
Any focus oriented meditations (e.g. breath meditation) are good methods to grow more mindfulness.
Thank you @signal remnant
No problemo
how on earth am i meant to keep my hand relaxed while playing kovaak's? i stopped for a bit but back when i was playing i could barely play even probably like 15mins without my hand starting to shake
Hello guys. Is there any info about muscle strain? I mean muscles become tense after really short period and i dont have problems with nerve conduction. Just like a guy above I cant keep my hand relaxed
how can i reset my sleep schedule and make it normal?
Do you guys know why my performance is so different depending on time of the day? Somehow I play like literally A LOT better during the night than during day. Goes so far that I do mostly not even play ranked on my main anymore during the day, it is literally a ridiculous high gap, I am just so much better at night than during the day.
For some reason, I am also always tired during the day whereas I am mostly not tired at night, idk why.
Sleep shedule and stopping drink coffeine stuff helped me with this. Also some physical activity in the morning will increase your perfomance a lot during day
dont sleep one day at all, dont drink coffee or energy drinks that day, and go to sleep when u need to. Dont use tech like phones and computers at least 1 hr before sleep, instead you can read a book or listen some podcasts or chill music.
To help yourself even more you can also use melatonin medicines. Mostly people use this for situations like time zone change after flight.
so i wake up i dont sleep that night and i sleep next day
What would you guys recommend to do when I experience wrist pain?
My arm gets tired very easily and I’ve been doing kovaaks for a while now
yeah i just cant sleep
when i come home from school i dont have the energy to sweat on kovaaks, i just want to lie down and rest, i feel like i should have more energy tho since im only 17 and i dont even do much at school, i wake up at 6am and get home at 3pm, is it normal to be tired at this time or am i doing something wrong?
i tend to have a problem with my wrist becoming uncomfortable at random times and have to either crack it or just kinda stretch it, it usually happens when im playing kovaaks or in valorant holding an angle not sure what it is
you do any exercises?
You can try small tweezers
havent done any at all started playing pc less than a year ago maybe like 8-9 months
but i think exercises might help
does anyone use or know those bottles for water that you can use multiple times and that have like 2,3l capacity since im tired of using cups
do these for a few weeks consistently and im pretty sure you can get rid of the feeling you described https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoedUZ4OpPY
oh weird its deleted
whole 1hp channel deleted off youtube lol
damn i was going to watch that this morning as well cus i had seen it yesterday
appreciate the help though
Yes I know what a bottle of water is
yesterday they posted a lot of weird shit, i think they got hacked
so something i had in mind, when you build muscle and shit in weight training, you need these rest days where you dont do anything for the whole day, so your muscles can recover
does this apply to aimtraining aswell
like mentally or?
u dont need rest days of doing nothing to build muscle
active recovery is straight better
realistically with aim its a mental connection and skill far more than weight lifting
mental de-stress & de-load is definitely a thing
but its not going to be structured the same way as weight lifting
i think a lot of the process is just cycling through focus and flowstate in healthy doses
and not just burning out
taking breaks and having fun, not just grinding for score/game performance, though you absolutely need hours more than anything else
<3
How do I hold mouse1 without introducing a bunch of tension, my wrist and hand tense up and fatigue really quickly while clicking but not while doing anything else
Honestly just pay attention to it and correct it when you notice
should I take creatine, will it help in any way?
how to fucking not give in to peer pressure
and how to not give a shit about what others think
if you go to the gym 3 or more times a week, yes, I'd recommend it. go with regular creatine monohydrate. any other variation of creatine isn't worth it
Make sure to educate yourself beforehand though ^
Once you start living for yourself instead of other people, happiness will come your way
This is a weirder question but if I'm seeing a physical therapist to work on my shoulder pain, should I wait until I'm given the all clear to do unrestricted workouts again to get back into aimtraining and FPS games? Or would it be possible that I could return sooner?
I’d bring that up with your doctor. Don’t mess around with your health.
Yeah forgot to ask today. Asked my question about if there's the chance to incline bench again but forgot the aim training
I'll ask again next week when I go back
anyone know if meditating is good if I don't regularly get enough sleep? (its very hard for me to sleep a full 8 hours but im gonna start to try and get a little more)
I was thinking to make up for some of the sleep I lose maybe meditating
You could alsp try take a nap
@CaitMcGeePT#9730

Is it normal to start feeling itchy on my scalp when eating kiwi?
You can hold a mouse with a more relaxed grip with practice. Set aside some time where you run aim scenarios but focus on just being relaxed and smooth. The score doesn't matter, only how much tension you're using to control the mouse. 30 minutes a day
It is more useful for people doing strenuous workouts. It helps your muscles recover between sets. Research doesn't show much benefit beyond that one use case
This is tough. Honestly working with a professional here is my best recommendation. If you want some more general tips then focusing on what you can control is important. You can't control what other people think so learning to let go of that is very helpful. If you want some ideas of where to get some help shoot me a DM and which country you live in
Asking the physical therapist is the best call here. If they know aimtraining and FPS games are important to you then they can make sure it is part of your recovery plan
This is a good question. But before we start looking at meditation what is keeping you from sleeping 8 hours? Do you wake up for any particular reason? Some people also don't need as much sleep so do you feel well-rested in the mornings or do you still feel tired?
It depends on the kind of itch you are feeling. If this is a one-off then I wouldn't worry a ton about it but if this is consistent everytime you eat kiwi then I would see your family doctor about it. It could be an allergic reaction but it is unusual for a kiwi allergy to make your scalp issue. More common to have tingling or tightness in your throat
Yeah its everytime I eat kiwi
Its not with anything else I have tried
And I likes the taste of the kiwi
Do you eat anything else with the kiwi or do anything at the same time? I'm wondering if it is an action associated with eating a kiwi but not eating the kiwi itself that is the problem
Totally understandable, kiwis are a top 5 fruit easy
No, there is nothing else I do different when eat it
I cut it in half with knife
I take spoon and eat 😋
Kiwi is da best
My doctor told me 3 weeks ago or so that I have stress
Not sure if that causes kiwi scalp-itches
Then it is much more likely the kiwi. You can mention it to your doctor and they can do a test to see what about the kiwi you are allergic to. Stress can cause headaches which might manifest as itchy scalp but that is much less likely in my opinion
Well I have headaches separately for the past 6 months or so ahah
And fatigue
And mild’ish shortness of breath
I had chestpain (influenced by lying in different ways, so not heartattack or anything serious probably 🙂 ), but that is now not really often anymore
But what does kiwi contain that would cause the allergy? I can try eating something else that contains the common allergen maybe.
Also I read on internet they dont mention the kiwi allergy causing scalp itches, mostly talk about mouth & throat stuff
Well I don’t get tired till 11pm at least and wake up at 6 pm to go to school, then come home and do homework for hours a lot of times and then shower have dinner and have time for games after all that
Tbh recently I’ve slept at 12:00-1:00 AM
So I am gonna try and dial it back to 11
Because I’m fine on 7 hours just not 5 or 6
But just for the days when I do get 5 or 6 I was just wondering if I could make up for the lost sleep by meditating
You just have to try and see if it does something for you
I tried meditating, it does literally nothing for me
But I know others who do it everyday and live by it
30 mins of meditation for me is better than a nap tbh
Just wondering if it’s like actually as good as some ppl say
Like medically
since I feel well rested but idk like how much it makes up for lost sleep
whats the best way to quit caffeine? ive been trying to quit caffeine for a few months now because its affecting my sleep but usually after the first day of withdrawals i relapse
exactly, so something to bring up to the family doctor. They can help you more than I can at this point
I understand what you're asking now. So in my experience meditation can be very restorative which is the intent behind sleep so it can help. But it is not a 1:1 replacement for sleep. If you are using it as a way to keep up your condition on days where you sleep badly then go for it
Regular sleep is still preferable but meditation is a good alternative. Not ideal but good
This is a bit outside of my area of expertise but quitting cold-turkey is rough. I would recommend weaning yourself off more slowly. E.g. going from 5 coffees to 4, get used to it then go down to 3. A dietician or MD can help a lot with this
damn ok, i’ll take that into consideration. i don’t think i can go to a professional tho cuz i go to a boarding school
Is this really something to go to the doctor with tho
feels like something so trivial and the doctor waved my less trivial stuff off at “stress”
So no doubt she gonna do the same to this
Many therapists offer online or virtual services now. Would that be a better option?
This would be a "talk about at next check-up" not "go right away"
If it suddenly gets worse or stops going away then definitely go to see a doc
Theres not really checkups
:/
Then unless it gets worse I would not worry about it a ton
tricep pain while aiming
What do i do with this, just removed my bed and found it
Its dark spot on the wall?
is it wet or is it actual mold?
Yeah you should for sure believe me black mold is no fun
I got a question. Always when im playing kovaak for a period between 25 - 35 minutes of time even with pauses in between my hand gets cramped and for the rest of the day my hands feel "off". Do some of you have experience with that or some tips against it? At this point as soon as this happens i cant play the whole day cause my aim just gets shit.
Tensing up might cause it
I have a wrist injury and that learned me how to aim without tensing up
Yeah, idk i have always tensed up it has never been a problem so far. it got a lot worse in the last 3 months
Just gotta stop putting force on the mouse on purpose, it will make u worse for a bit but after that u have to tense up way less to be as accurate
yeah but its really hard to stop. When i have habits i really need to work hard to lose them
Hey hey, I had to quit caffeine as well at some point. In my personal experience I just lowered the quantity of caffeine I had through out the span of 2-3 weeks.
First I checked how many cups of coffee (example) I had each day to know how much I would need to decrease throughout the 2-3 weeks.
I made a schedule in which I listed “x amount of caffeine” I will have for a certain day and reduce it slowly in the coming days.
I had also replaced my urge for craves with an activity, for me it was working out. You might need to find your own activity.
Good luck, I hope I helped
This is odd, did you stop any kind of physical activity you used to do before it started?
Nah havent changed anything. but i never did any physical stuff only thing i do is the wrist and neck exercises. Never been the sporty guy 🙂
For the last 2 weeks I have been having some issues with the inside of my elbow probably a golfers elbow, I was wondering if anyone knows if you can get that because of too much aiming? Because I feel like it sometimes get worse when aimtraining or just playing in general
I have these sudden and short sort of attacks of pain in my wrist, it only happens when I play some sort of quick tracking scenario with my wrist (basically if I do many sudden wrist movements i get that pain)
Is there anything I could do to reduce it ? I do voltaic wrist stretches every time before and after training
Hi, if you really think it's Golfers Elbow you should get it checked out
It's probably due to the amount of stress you put into your hands.
Do you stretch before you play?
There is no way to actually tell what might be wrong with your wrist through discord, this might be something you would wanna talk about in your next house doctor appointment unless it gets to a serious level.
Try applying cold patches to your affected area for 10-15 mins over the course of several days and see how it goes.
wdym you can focus in every other game than valorant?
Got tips on caffeine jitters I take in roughly 150-300mg (recommended not to exceed 550mg) day @ 90kg bw but still get a lot of jitters
got tips
Try taking L-Theanine with your caffeine and see if it mitigates the bad side effects
Okay I’ll try
The ADHD medicine I took today gives me bad side effects, I get extremely sweaty and anxious, but I took some l-theanine and it helped a lot with those issues quite a bit
Which medicine?
Vyvanse is what I’m taking, but I’m switching over to Mydayis
Why does the top of my wrist hurt when I try to finger tip grip? I usually palm/claw
Did u guys ever try beta blockers like propranolol to stop hand tremors due to stress/constant anxiety? My aim starts shaking so bad that I can’t even finish the scenario due to the “extreme” tremor. Any advices?
Take a week or two break, it'll suck
But you gotta do it
You probably have a caffeine tolerance/reliance but taking a break would reset it and when you come back to it only do like 100-150mg every other day
Instead of every day
okay for you ken 2 week break
If I pull a all nighter tonight and go to bed at 10 tomorrow can this help reset my sleep schedule
Right now I’ve been going to bed at like 2-4 am which is bad and causing me issues in just day to day life and memory
sure, youll feel shit tho
I feel like shit rn so
unless your schedule is extremely off its usually better to just go to bed earlier
staying up works tho if you cant manage to sleep earlier
that said, do NOT use caff
other than when you wake up maybe
cuz after a point ur body actually just wants to keep staying up and when u finally go to sleep youre likely to get pretty shit qual sleep
Alright
and ime caff exasturbates that a lot
I’ll stay up tonight then at 9 I’ll get off my phone take away light and take a cold shower
Hello, i have a Problem with my shoulder that After a 1 hour Session it is going to hurt realy hard. Is there any tip how i can get my perfect sitting position
@silent osprey sorry for pinging but I kinda need help with anxiety, like I need to know if there are some certain things that I should do irl to remove my anxiety cause as rn, it's getting worse.
Ok jammed my finger and it’s swollen but I got tryouts in 2 days should I just tape it up and tryout
Is there any info or vids of using a tDCS devices for training?
Hi, i have a question, my desk is a bit high then i have to set my chair to the highest position. By doing that my feet don't touch or almost the ground. Then i take the habit to sit while crossing my both legs on my chair. Trying as much as possible to keep my back straight. Is it a bad habbit ?
I have the habit of keeping my legs crossed on my chair too, if your feet aren’t able to touch the ground, try using an aerobic step stool to put under your feet while sitting. The habit can take some time to break, but it’s possible
If i understand you, it's not good to keep doing it ? :/
It’s not ideal
Same problem. Took 2 weeks to fix
Ok, any advice where to buy a cheap step ?
Anyone dealing with constant daily headaches? I've been dealing with this problem for about 3 years and would love to know if you guys have any advice, because my doctors are useless 😄
stuff like this is hard to solve because "headache" is so much more nebulous than "i broke my finger" or something
i dont think there is gonna be much useful advice for you here
the always relevant sleep, diet, mental health, exercise
etc
make sure ur hydrated, make sure ur blood pressure isnt fucked
headaches are hard to diagnose without inspection regarding every aspect of your life
if u went to a doctor already and they didn't help, surely a discord server probably won't, not to offend or anything, we'd love to help
see if you can get ur blood looked at so you can check for certain deficiencies i guess
otherwise u probs need som,e crazy brain scan
I already had a brain scan D:
🤔
my hydration is good and my diet is good.
i try and maintain a healthy lifestyle, i just dont know what else to try.
This is a last ditch effort i guess. 😄
strange
dont think youre really gonna find much here sorry :/
Its okay, just thought i would ask. Thanks for the help anyway!
not that i've noticed? Still i'll take any tips / advice you got.
So if it’s not migraine, are you getting too little or too much sleep, and is it consistent? It might be something with your eyes as stated above, strain on your eye / lighting issues can cause headaches as well.
any tipps how i can improve to keep my hand relaxed? any tasks i can do?
currently i try to be relaxed but also accurate on smoothness at the same time
rn i often lack behind my target when being relaxed
Try magnesium, it can help with muscle tension
maybe this or it is a mental issue
Magnesium also helps with anxiety, and muscle tension can be caused by anxiety
But I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a mental issue, I get tense when playing as well
maybe a mix of all, so these magnesium tabs from the supermarket are enought for magnesium?
i'm getting worse at kovaaks all of a sudden and idk why. help
Yeah, Naturemade 400mg magnesium should be good
Or LifeExtension 500mg magnesium
anyone know how to stop eyes burning when aim training?
I sometimes wear those blue light glasses, they help me.
dont use crazy bright colours
- Drink enough water, meke pauses away from the screen.
Kind of odd but whenever I shower in hot water and I play kovaaks afterwards my eyes water or sort of burn, I'm guessing it's because of a chemical in the water
I use 100% non chemical shampoos now, idk if it means much
ah no i didn't rly get any
it happens only with hot water
usually
nop
i think the eye is just sensitive to excess moisture
i kinda get the same thing after showering
probably
you could have alot of muscle tightness in your neck area which could be giving you your headaches maybe try and do some stretches in your neck
I hope you guys are meditating and visualizing for peak performance
I have been going through like a hypertension headache for a week now but I haven't really talked about it with my parents, whenever I try to do any sort of movement it hurts consistently going on a certain beat following my heartbeat.
Is it a pinched nerve or just a hypertension headache?
I had to stop doing any exercises that involves jumping because it hurts so badly
I haven't took any medicine
Is it normal to have a weird feeling in my eyes after eye drop? It's like they are cold (?).
Also, sometimes my eyes to really bad if I don't use my eye drops. Is it normal?
Could you show us where exactly and explain what you feeling?
I used to have issues where my eyes are really bad if I don't use eye drops but my case might be different then yours
back then, my eyes would hurt and I would constantly use eye drops to make my eyes feel good
Apparently, a doctor told me to stop rubbing my eyes oftenly and adviced my parents to not give me eye drops constantly
In the long run, I haven't dealt with this kind of issue anymore
So you used eye drops less often and avoided touching your eyes?
Yeah
Since then I haven't ever used eye drops
plus i also have a background history of eye surgery
my eyes are kinda crap if i dont get a good sleep
honestly this would also do an impact to some people
but apparently not me?
i can stay up for 48 hours (only once though because it was a school activity) and my eyes didn't feel any dryness or pain
@worldly mulch what was your eye defect?
im -2.5 and -2
and going to change glasses soon
and still have 3 years till the moment i can do lasik
@brisk swallow My eyes were -1.75 and -0.50, but they can do up to -4 or -5
Get it ASAP then? It's not that expensive. Glasses are like $200 in the US. It's only 4-5 years of new glasses. I can rationalize the purchase easier.
Why don't you try to improve it?
Mine used to be pretty bad, but now when I get good sleep it's (almost) as good as standard
how to improve it?
also im bad at falling asleep
Get gud lol
how
One sec
@velvet grotto
do you mean youve improved your eye defect? thats impossible naturally
I took action and improved it.
you cant improve it but you can make it stay the same
well what was your eye defect and what is it now
Yes you can improve it. The eye defect was most likely caused by you anyway.
crap long range vision
how?
if you go outside everyday and see the sun for atleast 1 hour your eyesight wont improve but it wont get worse either
myopia is often reversible
^
certainly lots of cases where its not, but a lot of eye problems are muscular
and you can train those muscles
Exactly
I used some tips from here https://www.quora.com/Is-it-possible-to-naturally-restore-your-vision-to-20-20
Dk how much of the theoretical stuff is correct but the practical definitely helped me a lot
Or if you can't be fricked get LASIK I guess
Placebo is one hell of a drug
Lol
Quick health question. Do u get an advantage playing in a dark room vs light room?(which is better?) (Health vs/ and Performance)
from what i've noticed I perform better if my hand is in my peripheral vision it aids my hand eye cordination to put it that way
Guys do yall ever feel ur index finger “heavier”, kinda hurting and feels like u can’t move it correctly? What can I do?
check out 1hp stretches etc. (consider if the mouse is to small/to big for your hand aswell as your grip as a whole if stretches do not help).
i swaped from 40cm to 30, i do the fundamentals and now my wrist hurts like a bitch, im not to sure what to do to prevent this from happening.
I just started play fps games and I placed in iron. I did the kovaak training and now my arm is pretty sore. Is this normal because I don't use those muscles? Or am I just gripping the mouse too hard or something?
hard to know
make sure your shoulder isnt forced upward (caused by desk too high/chair too low), and dont hold ur mouse too tight
you dont want to be forcefully tensing when you hold a mouse, just enough pressure to stay in control. most people overdo it when playing hard scens
Yea I think I was gripping too hard from holding the fire button so long
youll figure it out as you go along
listen to your body, just dont overthink stuff and put hours in as long as you feel good to do so
is it possible that caffeine can make me play worse? i don't mean in the sense of shaky aim but rather just perception. my eyesight seems to become worse and i make more impulsive decisions, but i'm not sure if that's placebo or not. any help would be greatly appreciated! (and please tag for response)
caffeine just makes you more aware and feel more energetic, shouldn't affect eyesight
but you do become more strained as time goes in the day so keep that in mind
take a light weight and do wrist curls
and wrist rotations
in various angles
1-2kg is plenty
and if you're not doing it already, train your forearms
whether that's going to the gym, calisthenics or another sport
I usually play with a more relax claw grip, fingers are extended but only finger tips and base of the palm contact the mouse
I want to try curling my fingers more for a slightly more aggressive claw grip as I find I get more control that way, however it really quickly causes the inside of my forearm to get right and causes pain in my wrist along the top
Anyone know why this is/how I could do it painlessly
does anyone know an https://examine.com/ but for exercise or other topics? Its been really useful for figuring out things like protein consumption, caffeine consumption, etc.
There’s a possibly that it can make you perform worse, it certainly does for me. I haven’t consumed caffeine in over a year now (once by accident) and it has benefit me so much
And caffeine makes me make impulsive decisions as well
i wonder if there's a consistent test i can do to determine whether i perform worse or if i'm just overthinking it
because it could be a simple difference of whether it's a "good or bad day"
does anyone have an example of a daily schedule that they can stick to that works for them?
what do you mean
when I have nothing to do I feel like I just waste time and do nothing
I think I need a time blocked schedule that suggests certain things for me throughout the day
that way if I have nothing to do, I could check it and get guidance
do wrist + reverse wrist curls and weighted radial + ulnar deviation
you can try stretches but didnt help me long term, only strengthening helped
stretches are recommended a lot on this channel but it just isnt enough for most people https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoedUZ4OpPY
Over th...
Any Tips for sleep (atm i need to wake up at 4am for work) i sleep 8h (go to sleep 8pm). I still have concern if this could have effect on my health and aim
as long as youre going to sleep and waking up at the same time, getting anywhere between 7 and 9 hours of sleep youre all good
okay
Thank you
I ate flamin hot cheetos 🔥 and rubbed my eyes 👁 now it burns 🤬
after stuff like smoothbot my hand hurts pretty quickly, had the same problem back when I actively played Osu and I do always stretch myself before training. any ideas what to do or what might be the problem
I have sweaty hands how to fix it ?
yeah sounds like you tense up alot, try and focus on being relaxed, especially when doing smoothness scenarios. it will help you hit better scores aswell 🙂
there's multiple things you can do, 1 get another mouse with holes, for grip, and breathability in your palms
2) get mousegrips, so you don't get affected by sweat as much
3) think about what happens when you get sweaty hands, is it somethig in the game? or is it just a form of reaction to a hectic situation?
4) have some hand sanitizer next to you, it will dry up your skin, just dont overuse it, unless you moisturize your hands sometimes.
5)try a different grip, find a way to play which makes your hand, back and arm feel comfortable 🙂
washing ur hands and then moisturising is the best option imo
like wash ur hands with soap pretty well and dry em off
and find a good moisturiser that doesnt leave oily feeling on ur hands but they dont feel dry either
i had to go thru a bunch of moisturisers to find one that was gud for me
get a rag son
I can only sleep 3-4 hours each night. Is that fine?
no thats really bad for your health
I might be having a Short Sleep Syndrome thing
have u tried melatonin @valid oyster
how long has it persisted for?
2 weeks or so
okay I recommend trying melatonin for short term use in order to help aid your sleeping schedule adjustment, but not extended long term use
it helped me personally
do u sleep 4 hours on weekdays and then sleep a lot more on weekends?
No they're constantly 3-4 hours worth of sleep
I never feel bad, hence why I mentioned that I might be having a short sleep syndrome thing
yeah, i would recommend using melatonin. do u drink any caffeine or anything?
some mornings
Though I swear it's not those since I wake up after 3-4 hours constantly regardless of which day I took caffeine
yeah
i was in the same boat
my schedule isn’t completrlt where i want it still but
i got it to around 7-8 hours of sleep from 2-4 hours
and its helped a lot cognitively and physically
if it was just a passing sensation i wouldnt worry but if its consistent it could be nerve related
and you should start evaluating your posture or whats causing it
I have this dull soreness/pain in my forearm
I haven't been excessively playing or gripping my mouse TOO hard
@wintry tendon do you ahve any melatonin products you could recommend
i've always wanted to try something but i'm too lazy to look into what works and what doesn't
melatonin is just melatonin
alright
i take melatonin gummies but those might be bad for some people because ngl they actually taste so good
ty :)
np! i recommend taking 1-2 max a day
i was forgot how hard i was squeezing my mouse during one of my senarios, and now my pinky is double jointed wtf (edit: how to fix it? 😦 )(edit2: nothing is working i think i have to amputate)(edit4: nvm its normal again)
My thumb is double joined
Any recommendations on elbow pain? Since doing aimtraining and moving my elbow aroung much my elbow pain has been getting worse and worse. Definitely coming from extenden long gaming sessions.
"Definitely coming from extenden long gaming sessions."
take breaks
and exercise
Do happen to have any specific exercises for gamers related to elbow pain?
I've heard it messes with natural melatonin production
I think it's better to optimize sleep instead of taking supplements
long term supplements won't work
anything that will strengthen it like pushups, pullups, curls, etc. also make sure to stretch triceps/biceps/forearms
use chalk
can a higher digital vibrance damage your eyes more?
dont think so
Wouldn't it mess up the mousepad
@nova dock not in my experience
I have a cloth mousepad and I always accidentally put chalk on it and it always gets off easily
I use chalk nearly everyday for cali and it always ends up on it
just bought the g703, how the fuck are you supposed to hold this mouse with out your fingers slowly decaying off your hand (there is no where for me to put my pinky and ring finger)
set up benchamarking tool and it wont work any tips. The tool just says press enter to close and doesn't give me popup to log into google on first time use
so i've been grinind for a little over a month now but am noticing that now im losing focus very early on when i train. any advice on how to help me lazer focus again? im kinda autopiloting
Any recommendations on eye fatigue? I have to read a book 15 hours per day for a week. I have an entrance exam on March 5. Sorry for my bad English.
💀💀
You need to start with your studies a little earlier
Are you trying to cram everything under a week?
Your ability to focus depends on too many factors. Eg interest in the game, quality of sleep etc.
Maybe look for a difference in yourself from when you started to when you are at.
It's for highschool. I already have a good school but I just wanted to take the exam of different school last week.
15h a day for a week is kinda overexcessive
And kinda impossible standards
Best is to rest for your eye fatigue, you’ll need a proper and a more realistic study schedule. A balance between everything is important to achieving the best out of your studies ^^ Good luck
Thank you so much!
Thanks man
