I tried it and that's actually genius
Why physical activity will make you’re better aimer Firstable, physical activity is good for health. Secondly, if you want to perform, you should complement your aim training workout with a physical activity because you’ll avoid injury and muscular fatigue. Summary : How should you train ? You...
lies
ppl just have like 1 or 2 white hairs
haev you never seen ppl with it before
lol
yeah ive seen a few ppl
with it on the cheek
I have one on my moustache
any reason why my arm starts hurting when i move my mouse
@ripe tree do you put your elbow on the desk ?
no
where do you have pain ?
do you guys tilt your monitor?
gotcha
Guys how do i know if i have ADHD?
you get evaluated and diagnosed
so many people self diagnose themselves who dont rly have adhd
it makes ur arm thicc and thicc means stronger so u can aim better
I can back that.
I truly think i have carpal tunnel
I dont know what to do
Its been 4 months
Should i goto a doctor?
Or would they not take it serious
Please @ me
@coral geyser if you think you have carpal tunnel you should probably go to a doctor to get it diagnosed
Thank you, I will. Do you have any idea of what he will prescribe?
Like a cast or something
he might make you do stretching exercises
im not sure about anything else
it depends how severe it is
its not too bad, just like a tension in it
can certainly tell the difference between my right and left
it gets worse with time so if u have to money and time to see a doctor you probably should
my left is so flexible, the other can reach but have to flex
Shit baby i love me the nhs
yea
Thanks for your help
no problem if you need anything else let me know
Melatonin is not gonna help me if I'm just laying in beed thinking about stuff right?
I'm not sure if I think about stuff cause I'm worried or if it's cause I don't wanna wake up for work, or if I haven't gone into sleep state cause I'm not tiree
But I have been considered trying melatonin
There are no big downsides right? I heard it's pretty natural.
@vast fractal Melatonin is a hormone who stimulate you sleep state
at the beginning, it's normal to thinking, the more you're train to sleep the easier you will fall in sleep state.
it's like snap
Thanks, I have been considering trying it, but it's not something you get addicted to is it?
Like I go on vacation and forgrt them, suddenly I can't sleep at all 😂
you'll be not addicted normally, I'm not a doctor so I can say something on that.
I know that some people take is on a short period of time and their sleep comeback naturally and after that they don't needed
I'm more a try and die kinds guy, than ask my doctor
I will try it tonight, this is pretty safe tho.
@vast fractal I mean I wouldnt take medication without asking
I'm a certified labrat.
not a good idea 🙂 just ask
Tonight I'll probably just instantly fall a sleep, fucking zombied
Or that's what I always think, then the night comes and I can't sleep. Or only a few hours and I wake up.
@vast fractal just get though this night and ask tomorrow, also if you cant sleep, did you try turning of devices and dimming lights an hour before bed?
Nah, I spend too much time on tech before I sleep.
try that than, no need for medication
Is Lumbar support necessary for a office chair
I bought the WorkPro Quantum 9000 and im jjust tryin gto make sure i made a good choice
or lumbar correction i should say
what to do if have eye strain
wait not a cowlick
im retarded
hair whorl
I always thought the earliest sign was sudden loose hair
probably look out for that then
I can't find a good chair height for my desk, i watched vids on utube but it didnt really help. I keep lowering and raising my chair :/
Do whatever's comfortable. If it is impossible to be comfortable maybe it's more of a problem with your general ergonomic situation
Unless you really do have a sky high desk and very low chair but usually it's good enough
No
Maybe just try to have ur hair set up in a way that keeps ur precious skin untouched by laserbeams out of peoples eyes
Is it normal for scenarios that are 6-10 min per run makes me sleepy? It is very annoying when that happens (I sleep good)
scens like Air UFO 10x Hard
@thorny dew makes me sleep
hmm idk, sorry
it's weird because I don't feel tired
?
I mean, that scen is hard but I don't feel tired for that, so I dont know why is that
hmm idk, maybe blinking?
Just a random question to any health expert: they say that fasting helps improve mental performance and long term memory. Would training be best done before a meal while you're still experiencing hunger pains or right after you've eaten? I'm trying to start intermittent fasting.
Wtf
Fasting improve mental performance??
Hmm
Kinda interesting that many eastern cultures have incorporated some sort of fasting
can someone recommend a good ergonomic chair for max 400€
where are you from?
germany
how often should I stretch out my wrist?
Imo, do it after you have ate
So you're not distracted by the hunger
And you can focus on the task at hand
For the longest time I thought sore muscles was from lactic acid building up but apparently it’s not

will i be fine with 4 hours of sleep? i woke up early for some test but now it got postponed :/
It would make sense. If you are moving your arm continuously and hard focusing on a task for that long with no periodic breaks, you will experience fatigue
kovaaks makes my wrist hurt. tips?
what
Kovaaks isn't making your wrist hurt. Overuse is.
kovaaks is making my wrist hurt
didnt experience this type of pain before doing kovaaks
I subscribe to the belief macro movements should be done with your arm, micro with wrist. Idk man, fundamentally kovaaks isn't the issue
lol
It is a video game.
Stretch your muscles, ligaments and tendons brah. Take time away from keyboard n mouse
Eat good food and drink plenty of water 🙂
i train on a higher sens and big movements with my arm would feel very awkward
30 mins of kovaaks is more stress on your hand/wrist than like 5x that amount of time ingame
no game has constant aiming like kovaaks
theres rounds or other forms of downtime where your hand gets to rest
if you feel pain i urge you to stop, i didn't and i had burning pain in my wrist/arm for 2 weeks
visited a physio and luckily it seems like it wont be chronic
i was like nah this mild soreness is nothing ill keep going
once the big pain hits you realize you screwed
what would you recommend doing then to avoid this ?
stop being a primarily wrist aimer with high sens, you need to do some physical/strengthening exercises for your wrist/arms
visiting a physio wouldnt hurt
just doing some stretches wont cut it long term
seems very extreme to change my entire aiming style because of a mild pain in my arm
i dont think i ever got this before starting kovaaks yesterday
should i just take more breaks when training
adapting to a new aiming style isnt even that bad
my main sens is 43.54cm/360 i use both wrist and arm
wrist for microadjustments and arm for bigger movements like turning flashes etc like the other guy said
i dont really think this is the problem
do you exercise?
well if you want your gaming career to last then it would be the time to turn it around
pins has some useful stuff
i'll check it out, thanks
Longevity-wise, wrist aiming is poor.
Your hand is hella intricate and requires a lot of management - this is why carpal tunnel issues are rampant in gamers/office workers
ty kiku for backup ❤️
i think its the higher sens in kovaaks thats fckin me up, i have to strain my wrist to hit shots precisely
why not use your normal sens?
i was a primary wrist aimer for 8 years and i became an arm aimer in 3 days
i rarely use my wrist, only for micro now
it is better for improving your mouse control
feels way better for my arm/wrist in general
i use my wrist mainly for micro as well
Ye right, never heard that lol
If anything I'd think it would inhibit your muscle memory
and hinder the natural physics of how you aim
but if you can afford it then i would suggest going to a physio, even a pinched nerve in your neck can shoot out pain to your arm/wrist
f=ma etc
i really, really doubt its that serious
just a mild little stingy feeling in my wrist every once in a while
should be able to see a little "hole" on my wrist
if it's there or close no matter what kind of pain, bad ju ju
you didnt experience this pain during regular gaming right?
just kovaaks?
yep only kovaaks
yeah kovaaks is way more concentrated in terms of aim effort
its way more stress than regular games because like i said theres downtime in those
but in kovaaks you just load next scenario and keep going until your wrist cries
i didnt have issues prior kovaaks either so it must be an overuse thingy
tendons/ligaments not used to that kind of stress
aight, i'll try to take it a bit easy for a while
do more stretches and take more breaks
yeah do so, i think few months back one guy on this discord had to quit gaming completely and change his job since his wrist injury became chronic
unironically pushups help wrist strength
if scaring you works thats fine for me lol i dont want you to injury yourself further
thats so sad wtf
Go do calisthenics, wrist strength will go up
thats bad advice
big jump to go from sedentary to calisthenics lool
calisthenics is like the most wrist intensive exercise possible
also you cant really increase load by small incriments with calisthenics
its one variation of exercise to a way harder one
thats why people injure themselves so easily
I got better at gaming thanks to being fit
calisthenics =/= being fit lol
you look pretty fit
You can be fit by doing crossfit, running, general gym, etc.
I check my diet aswell
Well i wasnt just two months ago
Now i play like 1/10 of my playtime back then
And my scores have increased
glad to hear you turned it around
i feel like a lot of people in this discord would benefit from turning it around like that
physical fitness correlates with mental fitness. Blood flow works wonders 💪
and they would progress faster in kovaaks too
SF units have pretty fun papers on such matters
Ur joints get used to calisthenics in about a month or 1-2 just dynamic stretch and stretch static afterwards
following bodyweightfitness rr?
or something else
i should get back to that.. been a bit lazy recently
Following a routine to prepare for mma atm
Tryna get lean before the clubs open again here
I can send u my ppl split if u want?
😳
its fine, what do you do for legs?
I got a pair of dumbells mostly lunges, squats jump squats
Yeah very annoying to train with strictly bodyweigj
Bodyweight
Luckily enough my legs have quite good genes
do pistol squats if you want to increase load
if you're into calisthenics have you investigated weight vests? They slap
can run with them too assuming you're allowed to run wherever you live
Yeah weight vests are good
But i still weigh too much for my length so bodyweight progress is more then fine atl
Atm*
When i can do 4x15 pullups and chinups
I will get one tho
But atm it’s plenty to just have bodyweight
rog
Bro my neck muscles are hurting so much. It was first time in my entire life while I was playing game. Any suggestions?
do you exercise/stretch?
we cant give u a diagnosis lol, rest/stretch and preferably go to a physio
@pulsar niche ya probably I should
Not everyday
bowties are good
i kind of question what sort of value stuff like this has
like bad posture is muscular imbalance (to some degree), and this doesnt really do much to fix it
seems like to me itd be way smarter to improve ergonomics and do training to correct imbalances
it fixes some of the symptoms if you're too lazy to fix the problem ig
same shit dude
I started full body workout today
i got a new chaior
You think chair was problem?
Hmm
My posture is fine actually I am weak
might aswell put yourself into an exoskeleton and a feeding tube if you go that far to fix your posture
@keen violet I only get neck pain if I'm in a nerd neck posture or looking down for too long
Actually I am looking down my monitor height was low it can't be adjusted. But yesterday I placed a block under the stand now it seems to be fine.
Check the seller’s profile and ensure that they are reliable (assuming you are getting it from eBay?) Also, $250 is a really good deal for the Steelcase Leap v2, I’d be weary.
If i 'roll' my (right hand only) hand around my wrist, it makes a click sound. No pain or anything. Should i be worried?
no
while doing the wrist stretch guide thing I hear my wrists crack a lot,is this normal or?
So, im not a medical professional, but I think that cracking in the wrist is (nitrogen?) bubbles popping and coming back and that it isnt bad
wait for an answer for someone that has more knowledge than me tho
why not if its in a good condition? those chairs usually last quite well
Anyone know why I have so little energy?
It’s 8 am and I wanna go to bed
I wake up at 5 and go to bed at 8 pm
have you tried sleeping less
it's from craigslist and i'll see it and have a chance to sit in it before I buy it
i think prices are generally lower on craigslist as well
since less people will see it
whats your diet like? do you exercise? when was the last time you got bloodwork done on important things like iron, vitamin d, b12, etc?
Half the time im looking at the game it is really clear and the other half it just seems really blurry. Any ideas on why or tips to help would be very much appreciated 🙂
tired eyes maybe?
my wrist shakes whenever moving it side to side no matter the movement I cant flick with my wrist or track with it I can only use my arm. I have no clue what it is.
hey, i've started getting wrist pains, any tips to recover quickly and well, and also tips for prevention?
besides stretches, ik about those and will be implementing them :)
ive heard of a lot of people having good results from sleeping with a wrist brace to prevent sleeping with your wrists bent
It also made my wrist worse because it wasn't really relaxing and healing, either.
go to a professional
^
alright thank you!
Is it bad to sit criss cross apple sauce on my chair while aiming
for now rest though

I eat whatever my mom cooks and it’s usually pretty healthy, I excercise like an hour a day I’ll usually run or play tennis or something
I don’t know what the bloodwork is supposed to mean
I usually eat 1 or 2 really big meals every day instead of 3 small ones
Don’t know if that’s the problem
I trained my eyes for ONE WEEK! Did it help my aim? (Aim Guide)
In this video I talk about eye training in video games. I go through four exercises everyday before getting on and give you an in-depth look on how they helped me and what they are all about, what they have to offer, and show my progress from before and after the video. If you stru...
shii this channel is actually helpful thanks@!
what i meant is you could have nutritional deficiencies that cause fatigue/tiredness
and if you dont get blood tests to address common causes its going to be all guess work
Idk I don’t feel like doing that
I feel fine now anyway
Guess it was a bad few days
Can someone give me a quick overview of the things you need to do to keep you and your body healthy?
especially gaming wise, so no diet etc
i bought the chair but its too low so im gonna have to buy some big wheels i think
but im in my old chair now and it suckss
I’m not a professional but blue light glasses, exercise taking a break every hour or so and getting enough sleep have helped me a lot
ty
my eye doctor told me that my normal glasses already filter enough for some reason but the breaks I should probably do
And eating too much sugar is not good but I think that’s obvious
Also drink like lots of water while gaming it’s not really a health thing I just play better
update: put some duct tape on the gas cylinder to make it thicker and not slide down so far and it worked awesome
now my arms are at 90 degree angle to my desk
@thorny dew getting a big ass water jug helped me feel way better/drink way more just passively bc usually i just passively drink if i have water near me, trying to stand up and walk around for a few minutes every 1-2 hours if possible, and also trying to avoid looking at screens for an hour or so before going to bed+after waking up has helped tremendously for me with both health and sleep
also just general exercise/stretching
Getting water from your food really keeps the hydration up
I eat a lot of vegetables, soup, and green smoothies so I don't feel the need to drink water as often
my sleep schedule has been abysmal for the past week or so and i dont know what to do
been sleeping in bursts of 4-5 hours just randomly throughout the week with no semblance of pattern
there are days where i sleep twice and some where i dont sleep at all
anyone got tips?
probably not healthy but what I did to fix my schedule is, try go to sleep normally wake up at whatever time you want to wake up at then just firm being tired for the day and usually it works
use f lux if you cant avoid using a pc at night, incorporate something physical to your daily routines
A couple things that should help:
- F.lux is a great option if you have to use your PC at night, but if possible, you want to put screens down 60 minutes before you're going to bed.
- Create a bedtime and a morning routine for yourself. It doesn't have to be big or dramatic, just something that tells your body "ok, we're about to do the sleep thing now" or "ok, time to be awake.
- Make use of external cues like light (e.g. get light first thing in the morning, either sunlight or an artificial sun lamp) and mealtimes (try to make them regular)
- Get some amount of exercise, even just a 10 minute walk, throughout the day. This should be at least 3-4 hours before bedtime.
Also tagging resident sleep expert @supple flume for some even better tips when he's around!
There's quite a few reasons your sleep can be disrupted, and some of them are medical or mental health conditions. Starting with controlling the things you can control helps you figure out "is this happening because of choices I'm making, or is this something I need to see a doctor about?"
should I be concerned if I my neck popped in the morning and now its stiff and I cant move it very well
and it hurts to turn it
to the side that popped
thanks for the tip
s
i think the most difficult one for me to implement and get used to would probably be the screentime before bed
idk why but i feel like my brain always needs to be stimulated by something in the moment and quarantine has basically made me resort to using screens/music/videos to always keep myself entertained or watching something no matter what im doing
during runs i keep clicking mouse2 with my middle finger unintentionally, it can be really off putting how do i go about stopping this lol
i also do this i just changed the ads bind to something on my keyboard
never happens to me in game
yeah i changed the ads to something on the keyboard but it still destabilizes my mouse control
Needing some tips on something, no matter how many hours I sleep, I always seem to be sleepy or tired, and some days it feels like fatigue, I usually sleep around 8-9 hours a night so I have no idea, I drink like two bottles of water a day but that’s it
It might be to do with how you're eating/how active you are throughout the day
yeah since the quarantine started my diet and activity went to shit
how do i get my motivation/energy back?
motivation for what?
playing games, i feel like im forcing my self to play
then you shouldnt play, if you dont enjoy it at all its detrimental to your progress
plenty of paths in life
or if you find the competitive aspects of games something you need to force, like constantly trying to get better just play casually
theres nothing you need to prove really
vitamin d/sleep/excerise
Same problem I just stopped playing games I’ve been just playing the occasional kvks and doing other things
Dopamine detox
is there any good way to recover from a minor wrist injury other than taking a break
like im taking a break rn but im wondering if it's possible to heal faster
the posture guide is kinda overwhelming cuz theres so many excersices and there is no way ill do them all but i wanna do at least some, what are the top 3-5 excersices i should do for improving posture?
@thorn matrix
nvm im stupid lol i found the pin
@open ivy hey what should I do if the right side of my hand hurts and kinda feels numb at the same time; its around the pinky area and a bit lower
@open ivy also is it cause im gripping the mouse too hard?
maybe
just take a break for a bit
but if you feel its because you grip your mouse to hard. Try to find a more relaxed grip
What I do to make sure I’m relaxing my had is to do finger and hand tensing/relaxing exercises to help me feel the difference between tense and relaxed
I just stretch mine and put them in hot water always does the trick for me
Does anyone know how to find motivation for working out again
I want to start doing a gym routine like I used to but I haven't had the motivation to workout for a few months
Cause I'm pretty sure working out helps your mental health which would be nice
That right there should be your motivation.
The problem is that im not in a very good mental state right now so i lack any sort of motivation or anything to make me start although i know it would probably benefit me.
Oddly timely for your problem
lol
All it takes is going to the gym. On days I don't want to go gym, I just go, and sit, and watch youtube while drinking, and then slowly warming up and getting into it
I was going to just sit on my ass and watch youtube at home so why not at gym? Just getting yourself there, is the important part.
Once you're there everything will come, if that makes sense.
So hell, if you're just sitting watching youtube, go to gym and do it until you feel like working out 😛
I ain't a psych, and I just abuse myself until i do things tbh, but when I really can't be arsed, that does the trick.
ivan is a fucken legend
I had the same thing it was because my pinky wasn’t on the mouse but I was pressing it into the pad for more stopping power it was just a bad habit I had to break
idk i find that just pushing yourself to get started is enough
and once you've had like a solid week motivation just comes
also getting good sleep makes workouts like 10x easier
that's crazy motivation for me
how many hours of sleep are you meant to get?
because i think i do get sleep
unless its weekends then i stay up until like 5 in the morning
@lusty bluff super good advice tbh
i started going to the gym recently and for the first few days i just went and walked on the treadmill for a while and even used that time to do hand stretches
after a few days of that I started to hit the weights/run
just going really improves your mood and while youre there even if you feel shitty or youre not into it you usually just want to do something
yeah
im gonna really try get back into gym work soon
8 Hours
np 🙂
What is the maximum time you should train for in order to maximize learning but still avoid injuries such as tendonitis?
1-2 hours, personally I wouldnt go over an hour, cause 2 hours can probably be bad if you dont have optimal posture etc. Just my guess tho, no experience with injuries and no doctor
Ok thanks.
Check pins

3 EASY TIPS FOR PROPER PC GAMING POSTURE
EPISODE #5 of HP BOOST
In this video, I discuss 3 easy ways to have better posture & understanding how to actually incorporate the tips into our lives. Learn how to set your upper body when you are sitting in front of your computer or TV playing games to play for longer, with less pain.

this man give the advice to have shoulder blades back and slightly up
are you really supposed to have ur shoulders up?
30 mins to 1 hr to be honest. Unless you're really motivated and having a solid day to focus but you wouldn't want to crash midway on a subconscious level and form autopilot habits.
who are you answering 😄
Sorry, that's about aim training.
wait
why are you just randomly writing it in here lol
im very confused
@graceful pine
@violet swan

Not super high up, but make sure they aren't sagging
In between a shrug and sagging
yea i got it after trying it a couple of times
How do I find good recipes I feel like everything that I find by googling is just mediocre copy pasted recipes made only for clickbait rather than actually being useful do I need to find/buy an actual cookbook??
I just want decent food that's easy to make to be healthy not some tiktok trend food
BBC good food is reasonable
Is failing to click some sort of tell of a possible injury brewing in my wrist or forearm?
As in bringing my mouse on a dot, trying to click, but actually not clicking and then just moving on to the next dot
I got sick right around the time I started aim training an hour before i go to bed after a day, any possibility they are related? It's not a like a cold or anything, im not sure what it is, i just feel terrible the day after. Headache, stomachache, general fatigue
Guess I should take a day off and see how it goes
this happens to me very very rarely, but i have no idea tbh
i sorta thought it was a mental thing tbh
like my brain realised im gonna miss and tries to stop me
Hmm fair yea, I might be able to attribute it to the same thing
Just felt like it happened more than usual this morning
How much sleep should I get? I am 15.
you need to try stuff out cause everyones different, but 8 hours is a good starting point
try as hard as possible to get 8 or more.
I dont feel hunger in my stomach I just get a headache if I don't eat enough is that bad?
seems odd to me, ask a doctor maybe
I dont have expertise
tho
loss of appetite isnt a good thing
probably just your stomach lining a bit upset tho
I used to take a nap in the afternoon before I started aim training . Now , I train usually at 3:00pm in the afternoon as I have classes in the morning and work in the evening. If I don't take a nap then I get a mild headache throught the evening. If I take a nap and miss training then my consistency suffers. What am I doing wrong?
How much do u sleep
7-8 hours excluding the nap.
Water and caloric intake may effect that @violet swan
also I can speak from pers experience, being on a PC all day effects your eyes and can build headaches
i find it kinda crazy people say their consistency suffers if they miss a single day of training, like maybe it suffers and you need an extra 10 minutes of warmup but thats not even a big deal and breaks are almost always good for your brain to process what youve learned
Even if u struggle the day after missing it will not hurt in the long run
Water, nutrition, exercise, sunlight, stable sleep schedule. @violet swan
eating healthy isn't hard, look for simple things like oatmeal with fruit (with a scoop of protein powder if you're looking concerned about muscle retention) simple cooked eggs etc
figuring out what you like and don't like would be the first step, you can always rely on google if you need extra help understanding how to cook certain foods as well
One of the easiest ways to improve my overall health was thinking of food as fuel rather than something i enjoyed, once you understand what your body needs for your daily activities it's a lot more simple when it comes to choosing what to eat
People will be hitting 50% acc on McCree and freak out about consistency if they miss a few shots and say it's because they didn't train for a day.
Unrealistic mindsets. I think people should watch more pros and see that they miss a fair bit, too.
I think that's a horrible way to think
Just telling you what worked for me ☆〜(ゝ。∂)
I happen to be in the best shape of my life while reaping the rewards of healthy eating using that thought process 🤷
seems pretty based
If you don't also get the mental health benefits of eating food you enjoy that's just not optimal. I also think it's more important to think about what your body needs long term rather than just to get through the day.
Been getting some pain in my bone as in this picture shows and it clicks the morning after playing, think it's caused I've been using the outset AX which forces my hand in to a slightly tilt grip where the meaty part under my thumb isn't touching the mousepad so it been under extra strain, I get direct pain whenever stretching that part but almost no pain when playing only after so I've stopped using the outset for now but would like to continue using it since it's my fav shape but it's really hard for me to grip it without using a slight tilt grip since it have an aggressive curve on the bottom left side. Anyone know if there's anything I can do?
Hey guys do you know what it is when I get hyperfocused my vision becomes smaller then it starts becoming small & big as if it's jumping back and forth?
I feel like the movie "Wanted"
idk if anybody in here has taken the final american red cross first aid exam
but i ahve one tmr and have zero clue whats on it
@errant sky how are you tracking ur route? I've never been able to get that in Google fit
you have to start walk when you actually do it
if you let it automatically track it won't be as accurate
as in click the plus thing and start walk/running
Ooh
Seems annoying
I go for like 2-3 walks a day and just let my fitness tracker do whatever shit it needs
But it'd be cool to have route stuff like that
there might be an auto option, since it uses GPS it probably doesn't want it on by default
I'm used to just starting it, so it works for me :)
I want to go run but I know I will be too tired to do anything after it what should I do???
do it anyway
why
Hi
Shit don’t be on health asking some bogus reaction then saying another dumb response
@spice berry just schedule a break after. U can take a shower and relax and then u will have energy again.
nah every time I run I will be like a zombie for next 3 hours minimum
brainfog and lack of energy
How long do u run?
idk I do a 3km path and I try to run most of it but walk some bits
I haven't taken time
I’m assuming u are not used to exercising that much?
?
not really
And what do u do after
shower and then just lay in bed
Do u eat snack/stay hydrated?
If ur body burns lots of energy/fluid u have to refuel it
I stay hydrated maybe I'm not eating enough
Do u eat before?
no
When do u eat?
when there is food
Are u waiting for some1 to make u food?
my dad makes lunch and dinner but other than that I eat bread, porridge, muesli and stuff like that
If ur parents or something usually make the food in the house try telling them u get really tired from running and that u need some snack
Usually parents will be happy to buy u a snack if it will let u excersize
Stuff like trail mix/energy bar/energy drink/ fruit / veggies is all good
I don't think lack of snacks is my issue
Well idk it sounds to me like u are not eating enough whether it’s b4 or after idk
I'm pretty sure I eat enough and consistently enough maybe I lack some specific nutrients
If u are eating the same amount when u don’t as when u do u are doing it wrong
About specific nutrients I can’t help with that sry 😦
thanks for talking I think I got some good clues on what to investigate further
yeah that was my thought too
Hey so I’ve been playing and I’ve been noticing my right shoulder have been hurting after I’m done playing
what part of your shoulder
can be caused by shrugging shoulder if table is too high, lowering shoulder if table is too low, or having arm too far forward or too far back
or from rotating shoulder too much
there are a lot of different shoulder muscles lol
my posture sucks too much my back is super curved and now i get constant back pain what doctor shud i visit?
i think this happened to me from trying to improve my posture by sitting up straight loool. hopefully it goes away tmrw but i kinda doubt it
@shell zinc also from moving shouder too far away from ur body
if u use a low sense and a big mousepad
physio
I been sick and I think aim training is affecting it, took a break the day before yesterday, and I felt pretty good the day after. Because I felt alright I decided to train again and the next day, being today, I feel horrible again. Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions? I got sick right around the time I started my routine as well 😔
@spice berry eat carbs before a run, pasta, bread etc. At first running is going to suck unless you already have your cardio up to speed. Start with a short goal and work your way up to the longer mileage as time goes on.
Being uncomfortable is part of running sometimes, normally before the runners high.
You can also try eating carbs the night before and running first thing in the morning? I felt pretty fresh after those ones, especially because I look forward to breakfast
What kind of sickness?
I'm not entirely sure what it is, never felt sick like this before. But the symptoms mostly come down to headaches, stomachaches and fatigue
If you’re generally fatigued I would just suggest resting as much as possible. If you’re experiencing worse symptoms it might just be because your body can’t take it right now. The screen might make the headaches worse and the focus required to ACTUALLY improve your aim is just too tiring for your body currently.
Make sure to hydrate as much as possible along with eating plain foods if you’re dealing with an upset stomach
Hope you feel better soon man !
@muted pelican thank you so much! I'll have a look at the link you sent and definitely take a break from training until I'm fully recovered
You’re welcome ::D, that’s probably the best thing you could do for yourself after all! Just means you can get back to the grind faster B)
Haha exactly
is it normal to have random belly cramps that feel like ur being punched with a stick for 3 seconds and then everything is normal again?
no, why would that be normal?
my wrist is popping when moving my wrist right, is there a way to make the popping go away?
That feel when the gyms opened back up and forearm is getting so big again that wrist posture is going to shit
just make it not big smh
Hey, if you are very fatigued after a run that is normal. You just worked out. Depending on how hard you ran feeling like a zombie for 3 hours afterwards isn't necessarily abnormal. I would mention that getting enough protein and carbs will help with recovery. I typically recommend 0.8 g of protein per kg of body weight. Having a handful of vegetables with every meal will also help with the vitamin and mineral side of things.
I would also want to know what your sleep is like. If you aren't sleeping well at night, at least 8-9 hours depending on your age, and waking up fatigued it will make you even more tired later.
There are a ton of shoulder muscles involved in moving your mouse. If you drastically increased how much you're playing you could be doing everything right but your muscles haven't build up enough endurance to catch up. If you want to build up some endurance then give this a try: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjMu52XEX0I
This video can help with anyone who has shoulder pain with gaming or even neck pain. It helps to address some mid-back mobility and work on key muscles at the shoulder allowing us to maintain better overall shoulder positioning and relieve any pain associated with arm aiming.

I agree a physio is a good place to start. You want someone who you like working with and doesn't just massage but also gives you work to do at home to make you stronger so the low back pain doesn't come back!
It depends on what kind of sick you are. Doing aim training can be very fatiguing. You don't need to stop training while you are sick but drop it to half of what you would do normally. If the aim training cuts into your sleep time it could also be part of why you don't feel as good afterwards
if it is a new thing that hasn't happened before I would say no. It could be nothing but I always err on the side of caution. Go see your family doctor and they can tell you for sure whether you need to be worried or not!
Stretching and exercises will help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoedUZ4OpPY
Wrist pain is by far the MOST common complaint I get when I work with pros and gamers. And the first thing they often encounter online are resources telling them to rest, brace, just do stretches! Sorry that’s not going to help in the LONG run. These are just methods for short-term relief. I’m Dr. Hwu and i’m the esports injury doctor and over t...
Also not going as far as you can to right if possible, depends on your sens, will help. Popping tends to happen at the limits of your range
Quite a lot of times I find myself being out of the mood and just wanting to hop on the game straight away. Does anyone have any sort of tips to boost mood.
thank you so much. my training doesnt cut into my sleep time but i do do it right before i go to bed, which is at about 10 PM. I try to finish training at 9am so i can calm down before i hop into bed. I think right now Ill still hold off from training till I feel completely healthy again. But I'll remember your advice for the next time I get sick and I don't wanna lose my rhythm!
Great choice to give yourself time to wind down after aim practice, that is good sleep hygiene! You know your body best so if you think complete rest will get you healthy faster then go for it. Get yourself healthy then start the grind again
Idk I just wondered, since sometimes seemingly weird things are actually normal
It's very hard to tell just over discord which is why I recommend seeing a doc to be on the safe side
There are a lot of ways to hype yourself up. Some people like music or a inspirational video. I personally like to do 3 minutes of intense exercise to get my heart rate up and blood pumping. Intense just means intense for you so pick something that is challenging but not debilitating.
I will also mention if you always feel down then it might be a good idea to talk to your family doctor about it. I may be overstepping here but I want you to know that is an option if you need it
Thank you, and I don’t really feel down in any way I just find aim training really boring.
Got it, in that case try some different scenarios or track your progress more. The sense of improvement can help increase enjoyment. If you have a goal for aim training this can also help. Are you doing it to improve at an FPS or just to feel like you are getting better. Both are completely viable
I play to improve at FPS and also for enjoyment. I decided to start aim training because people were saying it helps improve aim faster. I’ll start benchmarking myself more and do like a quick warmup video before I aim train, thank you.
If my back hurts to the point where it’s preventing me from exercising should I go see a chiropractor

Lower back pain

yes? any back pain should be taken serious imo
Yes, go see a chiropractor, pt or whoever you prefer
especially if it prevents you from exercising
I wanted to do a box jump and like right before I jumped I got sharp pain in my lower back
Is the pain still there? Regardless a good physio or chiro should be able to teach you how to avoid it in the future
No. It goes away after a bit but like I tried to do some exercise or anything and my lower back starts hurting a lot
A lot of the times when I get dressed too
Like when I lift my leg or something
In the morning
Go see a practitioner, my rule is if it gets worse, lingers for more than a week, or is painful enough to prevent you from doing something you should see somone
its been like this for a month or so
my first time deadlifting i think i did it incorrectly
i think thats why
A month is too long, go see someone! A good practitioner will also be able to work through your technique so you can deadlift without pain in the future
if it's your first time doing it and you had nobody there to work with you chances are high that you did something incorrectly
also you'll need to learn proper warmup and mobility before any heavy compound lifting
there are some lower back pain specific movements and stretches you can do
if it comes back from just doing daily activities like getting up in the morning you should for sure see a professional
Hey I think I saw this talked about once before but I was just curious of there is any benefit to different posture positions or which one would put less strain on my right shoulder/neck muscle since it seems to be sore or tense while training
In general posture is very important, make sure that your spine maintains perfect symmetry and you don't slouch left or right while aiming
Try and keep your neck immediately above your torsoo and don't lean forwards such that you're off balance and your back tightens
Hybrid calisthenics has a great video on posture-improving exercises if you'd like me to link it
I finally got a desk to play on after throwing out some furniture and making the space for it in my room (used to play on a bed before this
)
Assuming I'm sitting as close as possible to the desk with my stomach almost touching it, approximately how tall should the table be?
For reference, at which point should the top of the table touch my tummy?
I've seen most of the videos on yt about this but I'm still confused, everything seems weird and uncomfortable and I can't make up my mind if the desk is too low or too high or just right
Don't have adjustable chair tho so I have to improvise with towels and old schoolbooks. No matter
It's probably different for different people but if someone could tell me theirs it would bring me peace
i get wrist pain when aim training but in game its present but not nearly as bad
any tips
Im getting eye strain after playing on a 144hz monitor for some time now im back on my 60hz and after 1 game my eyes hurts
oh my screen is just tearing
hey it really depends on your chair
your elbow have to make a 90o degree angle with the desk when you're sitting on your desk
so you can measure it
Our desks weren't made for us. They were made for everyone. So ergonomics expert Jon Cinkay from the Hospital for Special Surgery is here to show you how to make your desk and office chair adapt to you and not the other way around. Photo: Adam Falk/The Wall Street Journal

really happy I've been able to get this far with essential tremor 🙂 was always sub average at most games so it's nice to see my growth over this past year
i have a conspiracy theory that having more vascular arms makes you a better aimer
i mean there's zero reason that freakazoid, pasha, blameF, anders, hiko, topgun, friberg, tarik
all pro at cs
and also all jacked?
some of the most capable riflers (the more percise of the two buy round roles) all also have amazing arms
How’s that a conspiracy theory
i think that the government has conspired to keep this information away from us.
Lol
Ima start tracking protein in order to get better at csgo
@odd quiver I agree
I'm pretty good at tac fps aiming
Or at least I used to be
Surely it's the muscle
@worthy cloud I definitely think that there's some physiological merit to vascularity affecting aim
I mean, if they're large it's probably just internal veins
They need to be vascular in order to build, right?
All I'm saying is that blameF is getting 50% headshot at events with arms like this
#4 in the world, complexity's best player

Looking good!
been back at the gym hard for a couple weeks
training to maybe compete in a powerlifting meet
Ooo
ye I've see this. Guess I'm overthinking it.
Hey I have a question, a month ago or so I lowered my sens and now I have to wrist aim alot more then I used to do before. But I have the problem that when I go to far to the right with my wrist it like starts twitching and I cant track properly anymore. Is there a way to improve/get rid of this by strechs and shit? I already do like basics streching before practice.
Your wrist can only rotate so far
U gotta learn to use a bit of your arm in that case
LMAO
I just wanna bicep curl google don't give me this astrology shit
if I want to get strong solid wrists what should I hypothetically do

My ring and little fingers start hurting when I grind static dots no matter what mouse I use. Should I adjust my grip and are there some finger exercises that could help?
basically my ring finger is always right on the corner of the mouse so not quite a 1-2-2 or 1-3-1 grip
its because youre gripping too tightly
I try to grip as lightly as possible, but I guess I'll pay more attention to it. Not sure if that's it though
how do I stop having shakey hands
it makes it harder to make smooth or very linear and consistent movements
pretty much just have to focus on staying relaxed
shakiness is mostly mental ive found
unless you have a disorder
^
Sleep sleep and more sleep
hmm thats interesting, might not be the issue then, but it was my problem and i had the same thing
honestly I just can't find a comfortable way to rest both my ring and little fingers on the side of the mouse
not sure if a wider or thinner mouse would be better
maybe your mouse is too small
Right now I alternate between xm1r and g pro superlight, so neither are really that small
sens?
43 cm/360, but I've also played with 35 cm
nothing crazy
yeah, it's just about finding the right mouse or the right grip I guess.
yeah i think so, and some scenarios will make you tense up more than others
yeah I've also been desperately grinding for master in 6 sphere and that's one where you really tense your fingers a lot I think
i found on some static speed grinds id start out a bit tense, get a little bit or pain and then as i warmed up itd go away
all without thinking about my grip
just remember, what yoiure doing has to be sustainable
if you have to sacrafice some control by lightening your grip i think you should, and go back to focusing on technique over speed
im not opposed to some strengthening either i think you should focus on your entire arm and shoulder too
yeah, I can definitely notice some shoulder pain when doing ww3t for a long time
and remember you lose track of time easily while grinding, frequently take a 30s break and shake your hands out and do some stretches
is it okay to do the wrist streching exercise more than once a day? I'm doing it everyday before kovaaks, but I'm thinking to do it at the end or between sections if I split my training in two.
a stretch should be okay to do frequently (within reason) without causeing issues, if it does, its probably a bad stretch
just remember to go in gentle and firm and test the waters first
I have been using 15cm/360, was really scared about doing something to my wrist. Gadly I changed the sensitivity, I started even aiming better. Even started using my arm more than my wrist.
below 20 is dangerous imo because then it gets to the range where u can do full 180 motion with your wrist
Hey
im having an issue with pain in my pinky finger while aim training but not when gaming.
@slow minnow if u are frequently doing the stretch to relieve pain u should probably figure out a way to stop the pain so u don’t have to do the stretch frequently
If ur doing stretch frequently to help relax or something 💯
yeah its important not to just think of stretching as the solution to everything imo
Oh wrong person
@naive surge
np
Well pain relief stretches are not long term solution
The pain is telling ur hurting ur body
Well unless it’s just fatigue
But usually it’s not in these questions lol
Stuff like “my wrist won’t go far enough, what stretches can I do so that I can move my mouse 100cm and do a 1080?”
Exaggerated the end but this is a legit question here
I was listening to a podcast and metronomes were mentioned for building speed in a skill. I've seen the use of a metronome mentioned here before but it's cool to know it has a scientific basis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJ0IBzCjEPk
This episode I discuss the science and practice of learning physical skills: what it involves at a biological level, and what to focus on during skill learning at each stage to maximize learning speed and depth. I also describe what to do immediately after a training session (note: this is different than the optimal protocol for cognitive skill ...
do i need to do the stretching routine with both hands or only my aiming hand?
Is it normal for my right arm to feel really tired after a medium to long gaming session? Especially the biceps
Yes. It just means that you aren't used to playing that much.
Okay
Can someone help me with this
Man these benchmarks wear your wrist out lol
try relaxing ur wrist as much as possible it will last longer
you are not supposed to play until your wrist wears out..
just watched the podcast, incredible video
epci
do you guys use a different button to shoot when aim training
cause i feel like spamming left click hurts my hand
I use left click, since I want to apply the same amount of pressure on left click as I would in games. Believe it or not, there’s quite a drastic difference in your aim when holding down left click verses holding down an alternative key to fire. So I would recommend using left click
@fluid wren
When I play game 2hr+ my brain start to blank and can't focus any targets
do you guys have any trick to help focus?
idk i can naturally play 10hours in a row without losing focus
how lol
my nose bleeds badly in the morning for the second time this week because of allergy
how to live
Aimer7 is on some
shit with regards to health and performance for gaming.
Mans saying exercise and a healthy nutritional diet is moot.
Yeah a shitload of sugar and stimulants will give you short-term gains in a reactive aiming environment but probably not the best to encourage that.
I think it is moot that boring af
but i want to play more to be better
what a contradict
whats ur diet like? exercise?
Rice , omelette and some veg stir fry thing or pasta sometime
and i didn't exercise
no exercise at all is a big red flag, you can look for short term bandaid solutions like 90% of people in this channel
or actually start doing something
if no focus persists outside of games too then go to a doctor
what kind of bandaid?
have a pic?
its a saying, like a temporary solution and not addressing the underlying cause
try to have a varied diet, do some light exercise if thats all you can do, regular sleep pattern
if you still have no focus after trying all that for a few weeks then go to a doc
Small break in between like every (couple of) match(es), standing up, looking at different stuff for a moment to kinda reset a little, long, continuous sessions can screw up your focus for the rest of the day or a big portion of the day.
How to keep our eye healty and good while gaming
understandable have a great day
and if u want less eye strqin just keep monotor further away ans take brakes
yo guys, im trying to do some research on hand/wrist/arm/shoulder health for gaming, if you have done any exercises that have helped a certain problem you've had, please reply to this or PM with a just a brief outline of the problem and then the exercise that helped
Should I be experiencing tension in my arm, especially the biceps when aiming upwards?
Everytime I play valorant (only happens in valorant) I tend to zone out in a way where I have somewhat control of what im doing but like my brain is very foggy I guess that one way to say it. Does anyone know why?
I have a wrist brace and wrist wrap and both dig into the skin between the thumb and pointer finger
not sure if this is the correct spot for this. So I have a long standing issue with gripping the mouse too tight < I THINK thats what the problem is among others> that it causes my aim to be shaky and inconsistent. Is there any tried and true methods to mitigate this or am I just kinda screwed lol?
Both hands, it is very difficult to overstretch and stretching has a lot of benefits beyond just pain
Is it because your nose is dry? If it is a humidifier might help
You are a smart man. Sugar and stimulants help in the short-term but it tanks your long term gains. And it doesn't necessarily help with your decision making or higher level game sense skills
Everything Kiku and mpr said is great advice! Think about it this way: if you are feeling tired during a long session you body/mind doesn't have enough endurance to handle it. How do you increase it? Fuel yourself better with good food like vegetables, lean protein and fruits. Increase your overall capacity with exercise, you can start with just walking and then build from there if this is new for you. Sleep well so you can recover in-between sessions. It makes a difference
I recommend your monitor being about one arm's length away, and the top of the monitor should be at your eye level. The brightness of your room should match the brightness of the monitor and vice versa. Basically keep the lights on instead of gaming in the dark. Also following the 20-20 rule can be helpful. For every twenty minutes of screen time look at something a few metres away for 20 seconds to give your eyes time to reset
It is hard to know without seeing your aiming style but if it is bugging you make sure your set-up and aiming style makes it easy for you to aim upwards without straining. Basically make sure it feels like you aren't stretching to aim up
Definitely possible to work on it. Part of this is how your body is reacting to stress. What we recommend is spending at least half an hour a day in an aim trainer intentionally moving your mouse with a relaxed grip. Don't go fast, go smoothly and make sure the entire time your hand is relaxed. Keep it up every day and the results will translate
i will try this, thank you very much
its totally stuck in the morning cant even breath and when i sneeze old wound opens and bleeds again
allergy killing my eyes and shnose so badly
@ripe valve i get a sore muscle on my right side (aiming side) mid back, under the shoulder blade by a few inches after hours and hours of gaming. its not a major problem, i just rest and im good, but im wondering if this is because of a lack of strength elsewhere. I also had an x-ray for lung stuff that showed mild scoliosis of the spine, could it possibly be that?
You are welcome! good luck
Is your nose dry or wet? This is outside of my scope so I recommend talking to your family doctor about this
A mild scoliosis shouldn't affect you that much. I recommend this routine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjMu52XEX0I&t=3s
This video can help with anyone who has shoulder pain with gaming or even neck pain. It helps to address some mid-back mobility and work on key muscles at the shoulder allowing us to maintain better overall shoulder positioning and relieve any pain associated with arm aiming.

thx for helping
You're welcome, I hope it helps!
I'm on a vegetable with only light meats and nearly 0 sugar diet since 2 weeks and I can say - after the first hard hurdle (where I had continuous headaches for 2 days because my body and digestive system were confused) - I feel much better at the morning and my play gotten also better or "more aware". Just gotta keep it up.
wym light meats
Meats with very little fat and less amount in general.
okay
So i am practicing keeping my hand loose and relaxed, for the 30 mins as i was told, should i do certain types of scenerios for this specifically?
@ripe valve
As long as your are covering the typical aiming scenarios you experience in game then you are good. E.g. Valo is flick heavy so more flick scenarios and something like overwatch is tracking heavy so more tracking drills
@ripe valve THANKS!I do apex primarily
No problem, if you're an apex person definitely more tracking but it depends on your playstyle!
wasn't planning on making this vid but i recorded this stuff recently and felt like it so here you go
i mak vid
why so cracked at fitness? 👀 thought gm's dont have time for that stuff 😄
thx
and nah it's the same as aim training
do thing every day and watch numbers go up
Thata why he's gm lmao.
anyone know a good way to counter caffeine making me bad at aiming?
l theanine stops the jitters from caffeine
maybe youre very sensitive to caffeine, could try lowering your dosage
160mg is enough for me. The regular 300mg in energy drinks hits me too hard.
Energy drinks also with sugar makes the caffeine hit differently into your system - mostly with a crash at the end of the day and way too much energy at once.
my elbows just cried
my elbows only hurt if i go way past 90 degrees
i injured my elbow from a static hold with my own bodyweight so seeing u do that with that weight lmao
when i play games my aim is really good for the first 2-4 games then falls off, could this be because of a lack of exercise? or are there other reason it could be
ive been getting pain in my thumbs and my mid forearm, any particular stretches you guys know of?
ive been taking a break but the discomfort remains

does anyone know how to stop drinking coffee
i started to drink it alot
i stopped and i feel so tired all the time
even after not drinking it for a few days
@violet swan I think it takes longer than a few days for the tiredness to go away, could be like 2 weeks or whatever iirc
also cutting on it slowly is better than going 100 to 0 in a day
yeah
@violet swan sounds like caffeine dependency
isnt that what everyone drinking coffee builds?
I feel like I have to worry about my right forearm hurting after 5 minutes on top of my desk
too much pressure maybe? like your elbow should be about 90 degrees, so you dont put a lot of pressure
do you want a picture?
ye why not
do you know how to stop it?
@violet swan like ladan said you should drink less and less until you don't need anymore
It's like when drug addicts go cold turkey then die later from withdrawal
seems like you sit too low, looks like there is a lot of pressure to me
@pliant sentinel yeah that it too much
I can see the issue but it still hurts even when i put the whole arm on the desk
Can you try sitting closer so your elbow can touch instead
my mousemat doesn't go that far
Or sit higher
try sitting so high that there is way less pressure
and there's a router in front of it
I put a cushion on my chair so I'm not too low
i feel so dumb I can't find a comfortable position
I can't do that I'm used to it being a pivot point
800dpi 1.5 on apex
It's uhhh
I can track a target without moving my arm
I'll check what that is in cm/360
essentially I'm wrist aiming
It's 35cm
I use 37cm on apex
So it's not very high
Planting your wrist is going to limit your aim
And contribute to wrist problems
what does that look like?
@thorny dew what do you mean?
planting your wrist
Palm touching mousepad
so Im not?
Sorry I meant wrist
How would your wrist not touch your pad?
I use a finger tip and only a little bit of my palm touches
I just try and keep the wrist off the mousepad because everyone says that's bad
Yes
i don't think so
I took a screenshot of the pic
Yes
Lol it's not letting me send the pic
and people say thats good?
Having your wrist as a pivot is bad
LMFAO It thinks it's an explicit picture :(
? So that would mean wristaiming is bad
but what does wristaiming mean if it doesnt mean using your wrist as a pivot?
I wrist aim a lot in static and get diamond scores
Planting your wrist also limits your ability to use your arm
Unless you're fast at lifting quickly
Like bardoz I use my fingers to touch the mousepad for stability
Having your wrist as your only pivot is bad
If it isn't too much pressure then maybe it's okay
I think it's just important that you don't pressure your wrist
@thorny dew yeah I don't think that should be a problem
ty
Is a compression sleeve a good idea for stopping my arm from sticking
So I'm currently in the middle of a mental crisis where my setup is never comfortable and my gameplay/focus suffers
I've been trying to sleep from 11-7, but I usually wake up at 10-12
I don't feel well rested upon waking up
I tend to think that when I get disorganized and I can't play how I like, I should spend time on other things to sort of rest my brain
Doctor aside, any tips on consistency
I need better focus
@scenic peak yes but I noticed it increased friction on my cloth pad and decreases friction on a hard pad.
You can also lift your arm a bit as well instead of resting it fully
got an issue when tracking, my arm begins to stutter and spasm, and it feels like there are bumps in my mouse pad
probably one reason why im under performing some days right?
i usually sleep around 1-2 am then wake up on 7:30ish on the week days and i sleep at 4-5 am and wake up at 9-11 am on weekends
I use a hein and i picked one up the other day and im liking it def helps my arm not stick
Ive been trying to relax my arm/wrist while playing and some days I can and other I physically cannot relax it and I dont know why. Any ideas why this might be happening?
Could it be over stimulated from caffine? I usually only have a cup of green tea and sometimes coffee
oof
i injured my arm a few months ago doing some random bodyweight shit
was either from bent arm planches or upside down behind the back rope climb
couldn't use my right arm for like 4 months and it still hurts sometimes
@river bobcat 2 things. 1. @ripe valve said to spend 30 mins of training a day forcing a loose/relaxed grip 2. I just used a copper fit elbow sleeve and it solved my friction problem
thats the same one I use haha
@scenic peak is exactly right. Dedicate part of your practice to intentionally playing with a relaxed grip. It will translate. Typically people tense because you start to feel pressure which naturally makes you want to put more strength into your hands
ok thank you
@ripe valve last couple days I’ve been doing this and already noticed a difference
Ty!
That is awesome! I'm glad it is helping. Keep it up!
you didnt rehab it at all?
did light work with it
Will working out my arms and shoulders help with overall aiming stability?
i also wanna know^
probably not
Why wouldn't it?
Of course it would.
Richer muscles, bloodflow, coordination, and chances are if you're working out you'll also be receiving cognitive benefits too.
Keeping your shoulders and arms strong is important too.
Thanks:)
Sounds like you have a delayed sleep pattern, which can be really tough as it shortens your sleep duration if you have to get up early for work/school. Bright light therapy might be helpful to try and re-time your sleep timing so you can get more sleep. Only getting 5.5-6.5hrs sleep per night will definitely impact your performance.
It's normal to feel groggy upon waking. It's called sleep inertia, which just means your brain is trying to catch up to the fact you've transitioned from being asleep to being awake. How you generally feel during the day is more important (keeping in mind some daytime tiredness is normal).
some days my eyes feel really slow, especially when tracking, everything looks blurry, while other times, i can see everything clearly and easily win every game. anyone knows why? maybe bad sleep or diet idk
Guys what should i do if my thumb is cramping up when aim training?
try changing grip
i find my arm getting super tense when aiming sometimes
are there any good ways to help me stay relaxed while aiming
thanks
it's mental, u can try to begin slow and build up speed over time when aim training
alr thanks
my trapezius on my aiming arm tires out after 30 minutes after arm aiming, any advice to eliminate aches or at least decrease the intensity of it?
I don't know if this is a question for #health but, does anyone have any resource to help eliminate outcome dependancy?
I focus on winning and it consumes all my focus. It causes anxiety because loss is like an unacceptable outcome for me.
I just want to learn to do my best and focus on the progress rather than winning or losing
Can't say I am doing a good job though. Does anyone have a resource on this?
Damn I would like to read anything you find on that topic
Please DM me so I don't lose you. There is this eSports caster named Dan Kappadia and in one of his podcasts he talks about outcome dependency. The name might be wrong but I am in the bed right now so can't really Google ATM. Please remind me tomorrow or DM me so I do not lose you.
DDK! Yeah he's a caster from CS/Valo. He's super knowledgeable. Will do.
Focus on details... focus on doing all the right little details and you brain wont be able to focus on results
That means even if you just moving smoothly when there is no threat ect
That has helped me a lot
I've a standing desk. I mostly use it when i'm working so i'm not always on my chair. Anyone tried playing while standing ?
@violet swan I had this issue before but I had to realise that it's just a game so it doesn't matter if I lose. I'm playing to improve
Just remember that in the end a loss doesn't negatively affect you in the future and it's just a temporary thing
Focus is such a weird-ass shit tbh, if you don't know how to manage it then it's really frustrating at some point
I had such issues not long time ago
But then I started to turn my thought processes off and just let myself trying do the best what I'm doing at this particular moment, so there is no goal for the future, just a moment where I need to execute or find the best decision
But you can't focus eternally and you need to understand that, just make breaks when needed and do what help you to restore that focus
That's kinda my point atm
a lot of people start playing on autopilot after a period of focus and thats when they start repeating the same mistakes over and over
Yeah
you need to take breaks nobody can stay hyper focused for hours

the struggle with depression slows me down. im trying to work yet i keep thinking about the live I want to live. a life without these health conditions, anyone else?
you getting therapy?
for depression
no. i dont have the medical condition, im just depressed. im trying hard to make the best of my situation, and some days i seem fine cause im obsessing and focusing on a hustle or work. all while i try to keep negative thoughts away but the gate weakens and they get through.
if depression is majorly affecting your life then it likely is a medical condition, and the way you are describing it it seems very detrimental for you
is it possible for you to get professional help?
I agree, can you get professional help?
Also even if it wasnt the condition "depression", feeling that bad is still a reason for therapy imo
i recommend ruling out physical causes first , common nutrient deficiencies, low testosterone for men, thyroid issues (if you cant even do these then you need therapy or some support first)
i guess i can but never felt like i need it. that also costs money. its weird to ask my parents for a therapist. im a very closed off person.
what country are you in?
Its not weird, it just feels that way
are your parents supportive?
im not sure if you need your parents consent to get mental health counseling or something in your country but there might be some programs for young people
my life has been very difficult the past 3 years, and literally painful. we all have these impressions deep within our mind about how out teenage and young adult life will turn out. i just didnt know it was going to be this for me.
also the pain and sadness actually physically hurts my head. way behind my eyes, and near my prefrontal cortex i actually have some physical pain and tension from all the thoughts and emotions.
im in the united states. i just dont want to go to therapy or ask my parents for it.
i mean what a turn after turn for me.
In my opinion you definitely should ask, do you recognize how badly its effecting you?
why dont you want to go? theres no shame in it its very common
ive been to therapy myself multiple times and i slightly understand your perspective since you are likely young, it does feel weird
feeling like you are broken or not as worthy if you have to have therapy maybe? Thats pretty common
