Im happy im feeling better
Its not over but better
Ypu Should definately seek professional help
Eat healthy and do some sports..
Blood flow
how to increase stamina when doing aim training
dont play aimlab
@mortal ledge that’s literally every game tho. I havent played a game without some stuff warning about seizures.
Kovaaks is unique because your aiming more then any other game and there should probably be a warning about wrist injuries
how can i do therapy on my hand to help with my shakiness, i believe its the result of a hand injury
i do hand stretches every day, it isnt enough
@mortal ledge Did you see a professional or did you start weight training alone and it worked?
@arctic moat What do you think about the idea of adding a warning message for kovaaks and it's risks for RSI etc. As it's much higher chance than any other game. Refer to my above messages for more details. (Posted here as suggestions is gone)
@muted fiber i think thats more of something the devs in the kovaaks discord would need to see?
Oh. Are the devs in the discord? @lethal cloak
How long would you guys recommend for taking a break when suffering from rsi?
And what exactly constitutes as rest?
Suggestion tab was deleted sadly
@final robin Any discomfort/pain that arose. Rest is how long a piece of string is. Go see a physio/doctor before it gets too late
I have in the past, but more or less the same message of rest.
I'd allow 2 weeks as a rough estimate. Could be longee
That's no games, kovaaks, PC use, holding phone etc
sheeeeeeesh
I started on my own @muted fiber , so I'd take the advice with a big grain of salt
I have no clue what a professional would recommend. Perhaps resistance training is better as a preventative measure to wrist pain/injury but not great as a recovery method because it might worsen a pre-existing issue
my arm hurts really quickly when doing kovvak routines
to the point where I have to stretch it out because the nerve from the forearm to the back of my bicep hurts or something
idk why
@mortal ledge Thanks man, this is helpful
@astral current Dude this is exactly what I had. I GUARANTEE it gets worse. Stop now whole you're okay. Start strengthening your forearms before you start again
@muted fiber yo, does your arm hurt when you are holding something in front of you laying down like a phone? I know it sounds weird, or like doing something above your head with your arms
I get this tense painful feeling and have to stop what I'm doing and stretch them out and let them rest for a second all the time, it sucks
Yes it does hurt. That's exactly what I get. I'm going to the physio this week, could already be permanent damage
Wait what about kovaaks is like unhealthy? I don’t know what RSI is explain.
It puts enormous stress on your joints, muscles, tendons etc. RSI is when they become damaged/inflamed etc, and it can eventually become like a disability when it gets really bad, you can't grip things and do normal stuff
It stands for "Repetitive Stress Injury"
Imagine driving a car every day, well Kovaaks is like driving it like a race car every day. The risks are way higher
Holy fuck, can like sports and shit counter it
That’s scary af, I only run kovaaks twice a day for 10ish minutes is that healthy enough? @muted fiber
I'm unsure, that's why I'm getting help professionally. I spent too long trusting Reddit/discord advice and ended up badly injured. It's not worth saving the $100 doc visit
For a guide. I started with 2 hours a day (1 in morning, 1 at night). Then 1 hour daily. Then 30 minutes. Then 10 minutes. Then no kovaaks and just gaming. Now I can't even game. Even not playing games it hurts doing normal shit like using my phone
Every time I thought "oh I'll get a standing desk" "I'll get a better chair" "I'll keep perfect posture" "I'll take breaks" "I'll warm up and stretch" "I'll stop death gripping the mouse" "I'll change my sensitivity". All of these helped in the short term, but still at the end road it was just buying time for the inevitable. Thus why I'm hoping to raise some awareness on this
That’s scary
I joined to improve myself but I don’t wanna put myself at risk in the long run
How much is known about this stuff
Mind you. I work a desk job + game for a total of 12-15 hours a day and never had an issue. Introduce kovaaks and it's become a huge problem
Your aim isn't worth it man. imo
I've spent days researching this stuff, very very careful about it. I can tell you there is not enough info out there - for people like myself
Imagine someone who isn't that careful. Kovaaks should at least warn you
meh
good posture and aim habits prevent this a lot
you're definitely in the vast minority of kovaak players to have experienced that much
gripping too hard, weird grip leading to tension/strain on parts of the hand that shouldnt be
Ah yes
@silent osprey @wraith wolf What's your opinions of ergonomics when it comes to where your elbows should sit? I just removed my arm rests and trying to sit in far enough that I can lay my elbow on the desk, potentially bad for elbow?
Resting them on armrests meant I couldn't sit in far enough
mm im no ergonomist
but i think its a pretty decent thing for ergo
like if ur just sitting not doing anything without a desk, ur hands are probably on ur lap right
so having the table right above ur lap seems to be the most neutral position
True. Makes sense tbh
could someone tell me why I have a single white hair on my cheekbone?
I noticed it today, what does this mean? Should I worried?
@muted fiber how are you doing?
More pain?
Mine still not gone still a little burn guess i have to moderate my plays 10 games is sick amount..
However its better then initial
No kovaak for me
No aim maps no deathmatch
Just comp csgo
holy fuck literally sitting here with my hands in my lap reading this @silent osprey thats some scary shit
and yeah I think you are in an unfortunate minority @muted fiber . I think warning people about the potential for injury is great but at the same time I do sort of think if you have to do something pretty wrong and ignore some pretty blaring signals to give yourself a serious injury from aim training
Like sometimes I do experience a bit of forearm pain, or my hands get a bit stiff, so you just step back, take the afternoon off and I'm usually all good by the next day
@azure dome Not sure if you saw the previous messages but pretty bad man. I can barely even work my desk job. Pains have increased and haven't even played games or kovaaks. Seeing a physiotherapist on Thursday to hopefully get to a solution
That's good you can do that, I'd still be careful my man. You're just behind me in dropping your screen time, soon enough you'll be finding 10 games also causes pain as your wrist gets worse. Should you also see a physio?
@mortal ledge Interesting. This was me bro. Bit sore after a session, rest for 1-2 nights feel all good again! But after a few months it's slowly started to take longer to recover. I've been aim training since June and it started with laughable very temporary symptoms
I hope I'm wrong and that you're all okay. I seem to be quite susceptible
Yeah it really is down to the individual I suppose. No ones experience will be the same and unfortunately none of us (I think) are qualified to give real concrete answers to one anothers problems
just a heap of anecdotal evidence that lead sometimes hopefully help someone out
True
i hate all exercise but it helps me so much in games, what to do? lol
Yeah agreed fourdumb. Will keep you all posted though
taking steroids for video game performance is probably one of the worst dumbest things i've ever read
lmao
all exercise includes that but yeah
@storm plinth probably not even that dumb if you are so low testosterone that its detrimental to your wellbeing
I mess with my hormonal balance believing I will get an advantage in computer games :>
there are ways to boost test without taking such a big asymmetric risk
Please do not self medicate with steet steroids
yeah just grow a better pair of testicles
self-diagnosed "low test" is a self fulfilling prophecy btw
If you have low values I'm sure a doctor can prescribe remedies
well you can take hormones but that has long term consequences
and then you commit yourself to your doctor's prescriptions
dont fap for a week
for the rest of your life at worst
like fuck
you could do squats and lift heavy
fix your diet
and see if you still have "low test"
medicine doesn't treat the cause of your issue here it just tries to counter the symptom
it's not 100% genetics
yes i could, i have tried but again not all brains are equally made
why would i not do something that is so beneficial to my health
why would i hate that
genetics
What
simply put, some brains get more reward chemicals than others so they are more motivated
its a bit more complex than that though
not fapping for a week does make your test levels higher
from what i've read that's temporary but yeh give nofap a try
you'll feel different, better or worse who knows
just change your lifestyle up
there's no way you'll be fixing your issues if you just continue to live exactly the same way as you always have
Idk. I often skip things I know I should do, but the reason for that is that deep down I feel like I deserve nothing but pain and despair. For me this is a psychological issue. Sure i can blame genetics (READ:""god"") for being neurotic by nature, but that solves nothing
well
and why do you skip those things
we live in a society where men have basically no social worth and it's a feedback loop where not having worth = no motivation to try = even worse issues.
yet somehow there are the top 1% of men
who seem to have solved that system
the top 1% weren't born they became that way
if you look at income for example

9% of people hit top 1% salary at some point in their lives
thats the silliest thing i have read
yes you were to a certain extent
another person with same hours in practise would not be able to hit that level
now you might reply that they just didnt practise right
Why not just do what the successful do then?
Life is unfair. Is that going to prevent you from trying to achieve anything?
Copy their tactics
thats not how it works
Successful men wake up early everyday and go to sleep early
they get at least 8 hours of sleep too
what does that have to do with anything?
Well
You can't convincingly make an argument that it's all genetics
if you can't even make yourself the control subject
neither can you convince that success isnt luck or genetic based
Reality doesn't matter
statistics back it up, otherwise more people would be "succesful"
Who knows if it is or not
The only way to live is the one that gives you options in life
Yea you're right
most ppl don't have anything figured out
that's not an excuse for you to not have anything figured out
You've seen the matrix right
I'll tell you a secret
everything society makes you want to believe is probably just a convenient lie for them
Mr Anderson

That's why the red pill is so hated
despite being 90% facts
red pill of money
red pill of women
etc
yea mr timmy born into an alcoholic family, gets beat up his whole life raised on poor nutrition has the same chance as rich timmy
thats not me but an example
then what is it about
also statistically most wealth is lost after 2 generations
most millionaires are first gen
but that's not the point
don't worry about the statistics
If you care too much about it you'll never excel anywhere
Because normalcy is fucking depressing
I would not want to be average or slightly above average in stuff that matters
like income or fitness
so you are motivated to be better than others?
If this Timmy is born in a time and place where he has the opportunity to spend his time playing aim trainers for fun - Then he would still be one of the most privileged Timmy's to ever live
no
i dont give a shit about others tbh
i'm motivated to improve myself 1% everyday
by effects of compounding
1.01^365
I'll become 37 times my self one year ago
That means if I was an average person last year
@open axle ok dood nice contribution
I'm already 37 times more successful than average this year
And that's probably
what
4 or 5 standard deviations above the mean
So comparing yourself to others is stupid
when you can just become a top 0.01%er with the right mindset
wait you seriously believe everyone can be top 0.01
It has worked for me in pretty much everything I spent at least 1 year on..
no need to continue this conversation
OK Kiku. You're a victim. we're all victims. Best rush onto twitter and complain about of oppressed I am
well
i probs hit 0.0001% in multiple things
but yeh
the formula for success is there
but you just hate to hear it
Because it's inconvenient for you
I'm telling you the red pill is worth taking
and you think it's all bullshit
but seriously, just start somewhere
red pill on money
lemme ask
how do you think people get rich?
cause they refuse to admit that they can become a top 0.1%er
so it never becomes an option to them
Most people think like you btw
that it's impossible or freakishly by luck that poor people become rich
that's why they stay poor
yep
But yeah, being defeatist is self fulfilling
because if they never believe they can become rich in the first place they never will
the red pill on money is that you'll never be "rich" if you think a 6 figure salary is the end-goal for a career
you'll need to own equity in something
real estate is the easy but hard to access one
You can have a deterministic or probabalistic or whatever mindset, but you have to also understand that your personal fight for motivation and betterment is part of that determinism
Rolling over and doing nothing is too, but that's boring
it's not about becoming better than sayaplayer or anything
it's just about becoming better than yourself yesterday
yet, can you honestly say that you did what you could to achieve that?
I can't see it judging by your viewpoints
achieve what?
becoming better than the you yesterday?
or are you the same person as you were last year
probably by your standards yes?
well
i hate using the term red pill tbh
what's another good term
anyway point is
that's normal
determinism and cause and effect
by definition
you are normal
but normal people don't achieve great things
you can change your mindset
choose to believe what normal people don't
not really, you cant choose your wants
choose to believe that you can become 37x yourself in one year from now
You can
basically
the longer you stick to your current beliefs
the longer you'll stagnate
if you hate your situation
you have to change your beliefs
just believe in me for now
man, what a topic
what i say may not be 100% true
but it doesn't matter if it's true or not
I'm just trying to get you to change your mindset
Even if you were true, it means you're cursed to your current existence forever
i appreciate it but it doesn't work, i already know its beneficial to delude myself but thats not how it works
so let's hope you're not right this time
basically you miss every shot you don't take huh?
No that's cringe
lmao
lol
But also probably yes
put it this way
almost every successful entrepreneur
had a whole portfolio of failed businesses
your average person has a portfolio of 0 failed business
failing is better than not trying at all in that case
if you do want to become great
ofc it could all lead to nothing
and you don't hear about those guys
but I think they'll do fine
thinking you are normal you alrdy lost
i appreciate it, thanks
i made 0 progress at all
on my body
on advancing my career
on stuff that matters
so I can relate
somehow reading the sort of stuff that millionaires write on the internet for fun
in forums and stuff
I could see that they had a completely different mindset from me at that time
and the average person
In fact, a lot of what they say could be considered extremely naive by the general population
similar to what i said earlier
you can become a top 0.01%er in anything given a year
but i had nothing to lose just trying to improve at something
and results came way quicker than expected
so you do agree that genetics matter?
to become 0.01
or a cause we cant control
why even care
sure
if you dont want to become the single best in the world
you don't know the potential of your genetics
why does it matter
until you reach it
just imrpove yourself
again i already know its beneficial for me to think that
till you reach your best
you can't use genetics as an excuse when you haven't even reached your potential
^
there's a lot of red pills to swallow here btw
it's pretty hard to swallow as well
take it and you might get out of your miserable existence
don't take it and nothing will change
up to you
decision matrix here is pretty obvious for me tho
🙏
appreciate it but ive heard this same formula of advice thousands of times, thats all
glgl
look into survivorship bias aswell
Survivorship bias of what though
coward!
you have to look at who's giving the advice lol
and it's not about authority
you grew up with your parents teaching you how to manage your money
or with your teachers teaching you about business
or whatever
there's 0 value in that and negative value to listen to them
yet if there's a millionaire teaching you about money that is completely opposite to what your parents say, you should probs listen closely
survivorship bias is probably the last line of defense you have against taking the advice of successful people
and to turn to your teachers or your parents or your friends instead
i'm sure they all mean well but it's dumb to think that they're more correct than people who've achieved what you want to achieve
hey guys, i was looking at the egronomic guide that Sini posted. they are saying to have G/H infront of belly button for keyboard positioning. but i heard mouse should be in the middle of the mousepad. So i'm not sure which is more important, mouse in middle or keyboard being closer to have a 90 degree angle for both right/left arms
Are the sparky mousepads from Inked Gaming any good?
wrong channel but yes (bold is top recommended in category)
Ah shoot I meant this for tech
My bad but thanks
im going batshit crazy on grip training
@muted fiber
doing everything now lol
blood flow, extend my hand with bands, dumbell excercises and grip training
see where it gets me
It might just be that bit of bone, but I am not sure what you are talking about. What you have stated is a bit vague.
Also, this deep af convo about mentality, what have you got to lose by trying. Better to give your best shot and miss compared to never trying at all and regretting it.
are stretching and taking breaks the only methods for reducing wrist pain for the hand that holds the mouse?
@azure dome Damn careful you don't overdo it man
@cosmic verge Search my messages in this channel
@cosmic verge you could also try changing your grip or posture, maybe some heat or cold treatments depending on what kind of pain it is
If u have adhd doesnt aderal like slow u down
And then if u dont it makes u hyper focused
That seems ass backwards
That's a good way to put it. It helps with symptoms and helps them focus by doing what Kevin said.
Alright. Im pretty sure i have add or adhd but if it was gunna slow me down i didnt want to go tot he doctor
what desk height should i get if im 6ft?
i only have $120
leg height vs torso height, desk height
Hmm
Ikea has cheap adjustable desks
I use a linmon desk top with the adjustable legs
The top is only $30, forgot how much the legs were
@worthy cloud can you send me
You can get different sizes and colors
@worthy cloud i need to buy a drawer to though
I dunno if they make adjustable height drawers
I dont know then, I don't have drawers
hollow core door on two filing cabinets
Definitely, plus you'll be uncomfortable and have bad posture
is an armrest worth using or just try and have neutral positioned arms
i removed arm rests from chair
Instructions unclear: Removed arms from body
@worthy cloud it's mostly just wrist soreness I feel after using a mouse now that got exacerbated through playing FPS games.
I use a wireless g305 with a regular AA battery. Maybe I find it too heavy on the hand.
Will having a dual phase sleep schedule hurt me in any way?
hii
for the past about week the bottom of my wrist has been hurting whenever i move it to a 90 degree angle
should i be worried or no
id take a break
@terse willow u might have a triggered nerve but it heals in about a week or so. Anyway im not a health expert just dont put force on it and let it heal if it gets worse see ur doctor or sum
yea, my other friend said that he had this too and stopped playing for a week and it healed
i think ill do that
I experience something about the same and im literally struggling to type bec of it rn lol
Anyway take care of urself gl @terse willow
i will ty
will finger gripping a large mouse fuck up your hand?
what colour do you use for your walls?
In most games you look at the corner of your monitor frequently for minimap etc. In some kovaaks scenarios you barely have to move your eyes, for example, 6 sphere hipfire
try to do a scenario only staring at your crosshair, your eyes will get very dry
at least for me
any tips for concentrating? My brain goes into autopilot mode during training and in-game. It messes up my performance and improvement big time
@Terminator#6748 @astral current @wraith wolf
And @ whoever else interested in my forearm/wrist pain progress
I saw a physio today. In short, they assessed my explanation of my pain symptoms and how much I use them/daily activities. They ruled out it being carpal tunnel syndrome, thankfully).
The physio then said it's likely tendinopathy and it needs immediate rest. I'm taking time off work, stopping gaming and definitely not opening kovaaks. Once it's rested and pain has healed, I need to begin careful wrist strengthing (grip strength too), with careful instructions when the physio says it's okay. From what I've googled, it appears tendinopathy cannot be cured and once you have it, it will not heal, you can merely manage the symptoms.
I serve this as a warning to ALL. If you're experiencing any soreness or discomfort STOPPPP and go see a health specialist. The short-term gain of aim should not come at the cost of the lifetime function of your body. I'm hoping that my case gets better, but if not it saddens me.
I have another session in a week. I'll keep you posted
@azure dome
sens randomizer
maybe don't use it ingame but its good for training
I’m sincerely sorry about that, cutter. I’m happy you went to a doctor though I hope everything is okay and that you wrist feels better after the rest. Thank you for sharing your story, take it easy. Will you be going to physical therapy to help alleviate some of the symptoms?
Does anyone know, what's better health wise for my hand, claw, ftip or a hybrid?
lower screen brightness
Thanks @azure dome From what I see on Google, that's what happens with tendinopathy
Thanks @wraith wolf Yeah I have another physio appointment next week so I'll let you know. I've been given some stretches etc to alleviate pain for now
@chrome quartz Use night light on windows
How can I deal with exhaustion in arm? I play really low sensitivity and after I warmup I get rly fatigued
work out, use less low sens, eat better
2 thins i dont wanna do but what u mean with eat better
Define what you mean by exhaustion, what do you feel?
Cramps? Pain? Muscle soreness?
idk its not pain or cramp its just like
i feel like i dont have much energy in arm and that i play worse
which i do
also don't deathgrip your mouse
how low is your sens? I feel higher sens is probably the easiest situation
i dont want to switch, its not like i have permanent exhaustion its just sometimes or when i warmup or play a lot of dm
but for your information 400 dpi 1 sens
i knew it
that's too low, way too low
what to do I'm having writs pain?
take a rest
until pain is completely gone
do wrist warmup before game
make sure your wrist isn't cold before playing
don't tense when aiming
always focus on relaxing
thanks
@violet swan should I use ice for the wrist pain? Like is very crazy I cant\ use my strength on anything
@nimble dew if it's that bad, go see a doctor immediately
ok
100cm is not practical anywhere
Ofc for u maybe? I play csgo only headshots
my playstyle
works for me my highest elo was 2560
I have played 25cm 35cm 45cm 69cm sens doesn't matter except if you play like impossible low sens or way too high like 8 cm or 300 400 cm low
you cant even 180 using 100cm even for cs its not practical
yeah not with 1 swipe ofc 😄
i never said its practical ofc but i think its nice for control playstyle and its easy to hunt heads with it
i know other low sens players i have a mate that plays 0.5 sens and 400 and hes a kovaaks player
and i mean, 100cm seems really slow in hindsight but its not so slow anymore after playing with it for a long time
whatever works for you I guess, but I don't think you should be surprised with how tired your arm is
yeah, could have to do with sens but ive been playing with it for some time now its not like im not used to it
honestly think it has to do with my health though
maybe posture with arm and stuff with desk
thats why i was writing here, not to argue about sens haha my bad 😄
My opinion is that, you are wasting energy just trying to maintain that speed, you want super low sens for control, but that is causing you to expense your energy too fast. Using a higher sens like 40 to 50cm can still give you a lot of control while needing way less speed and motion
the longer you can maintain your energy, the longer your focus, the better you train, the better you play
Its an opinion i thought about too but, u can do stuff to make it go away like relax your arm do stretches, take pauses e.t.c and ive had really shitty sleep schedule like wake up 1 am bad diet with only sandwiches so i think it has taken some toll on me..
i think i need to practice more like this with exhaustion to build stamina maybe
cus my stamina is shit with dming already

hey, practice is to try a lot and fix the errors you find, so I guess you can try whatever you want
this is my go-to wrist stretch guide before and after playing games and using the computer. it's in the pin
#health message
@nimble dew Stop immediately and go see a doctor. That's really bad. You've been warned
@nimble dew ice is used to treat inflammation, bad idea for wrist pain from overuse
@storm plinth Source? That's not what my physiotherapist said
your physio would be more right than me
@storm plinth allgood. Physio recommended ice or heat whichever one felt better
sleep more?
why a banana?
try nofap

@gritty crest Better sleep schedule, exercise, green tea, black coffee, etc
@wraith wolf ye tbh I did all that expext the coffee will try that
Prob didn't eat
Thats why I said banana
@worthy cloud tbh I feel it was food
I did cardio and felt even more tired
Slept the whole day
Ye I hardly eat anymore tbh
is this a good reaction time?
no it too slow
🧑⚖️
How can I lose my fat? What should I eat and why should I do? (17, 1,8m, 74kg)
and afaik losing fat is being in a calorie deficit
eating less sugar in general, exercising every day for 20-60 minutes, eating reasonable amounts of food
I want to buy an ergonomic chair. I saw this one https://www.bol.com/nl/p/bens-837-ergo-4-zwart-ergonomische-bureaustoel-met-alle-instel-opties-zwart/9200000071359113/?s2a=#productTitle Only I cant find any videos about it but all of the reviews look good. Any tips before buying it?
@versed solar you’re prob trolling cause 96 is almost inhuman lmao. 140 is hella good
Most likely a troll
What desk height should i have in comparison to me?
Like belly button height or lower?
It really depends on your height and your chair too?
desk height is influenced by the height of your chair
get adjustable chair 200iq
Very stupid question but should my right hand thumb joint/knuckle feel the same as my left hand
@violet swan It's relative to your arms. They should be at 90 degrees at the elbow with the forearm juuuuust touching the desk, or resting if it's comfortable. As long as the wrist is neutral as possible, and you're not leaning in/back, and your shoulders are relaxed
If I eat under 87g of Ca0rbs, 130g of Proteins and under 57g of fat (1775 calories) and run 10km 3 days a week, in how much could I lose 4 kg?
You mean a lot of time or..?
a lot of kg lost in such short time
What's the problem with it?
I need to lose fat
Before the lockdown I was 70, now I'm 74, I'm sure 4kg are fat
no problem, just saying usually losing 1kg per week is already fast, giving you some timeframe to expect
Ohh alright, thank you for the help
@tough basin Don't do it too quickly man. You'll be gaining that straight back if you're not careful. It all depends on your BMR. I'd add a little light bodyweight/weights in there to help burn the fat. I'd say you could lost it in 6 weeks. Make sure you weigh yourself in the morning after a poop and pee and before you've eaten or drank anything, this will ensure consistent progress
Can't do weights, I have only my body and cardio
My goal is to just lose fat, not build muscles
Thus why I suggested bodyweight
Can't do it, gyms closed and don't have gear
No need for muscles, but we are primal by physique, and this will help engage fat burning
I see
Bodyweight means your own body, you carry it with you every where you go. Push ups. Squats. Etc
Ohh, I don't have a schedule to follow though
I'd do most the main ones. Squats. Lunges (careful your knees on this one). Pushups. Pull ups. Chin ups Ab crunches. Leg raises. Anything abdominal actually. Google it. Do them until you can't do then any more
There's heaps of pre-made ones, especially after covid
Abdominal exercises, I'll search them up. But should I do them before the 10 km run?
You'll be pretty cooked
Maybe do them on alternate days
Unless your max is 3. Then just do once a week
Monday: 10 km
Tuesday: Ab Ex
Wednesday: 10 km
Thursday: Ab Ex:
Friday: 10 Km
How about that?
Yeah man. If you did that you'd be fighting fit
I'd do body squats/pushups over ab ex tho
Anything involving legs (big muscle) is likely to burn more fat
Drink water
Pushups, Squats, and..
2L a day
It's a good thing? Sorry I don't speak perfect english
Ah nice
Thank you, I'll try to do it all the year
Let me know how you go
Sure, thank you again
Of course:
"87g of Carbs, 130g of Proteins and under 57g of fat (1775 calories) "
You're set
Good, thank you again
is having a biphasic sleep schedule bad for me?
Have you tried a brain smoothness routine?
no 😦 Do you have some link please?
do i go to sleep now and get 8 hours and wake up in middle of sleep cycle or wait half an hour to wake up inbetween sleep cycles
@tardy bronze Scientific studies seems to show it can be harmful compared to traditional sleep. Sticking with a consistent wake up/sleep time will be much more effective
@topaz yew Was this a troll? No such thing lol
@violet swan Neither of those options. Go to sleep immediately, as it might take 15-30 mins to sleep asleep which means you'll only get 7.5 and wake up inbetween the cycles anyway - usually. Other option is still fall asleep immediately and set your alarm 30 mins earlier - always better to get on the early side of rest than stay up to roll the dice on a cycle
okay for sleep experts out there
is it fucked that I'll be sleeping for 12+ hrs on workout days (monday, wed, friday), meaning my sleep schedule is fucked and I can't fall asleep on tuesday and thursday nights resulting in <5 hrs sleep on those 2 days no matter how early I go to bed (I aim for ~8 hrs sleep when I get to bed but I'll just stay awake for 3 hrs). Reason for <5hrs is because I have to get up for my morning workouts
I don't take caffeine on non-workout days either most of the time, but it seems like I can't fall asleep unless I've been awake for more than 14 hrs
@storm plinth Can you give me a rough idea of sleep and wake up times for each day? It sounds like your body is exhausted and paying it's sleep debt back from those 5 hour nights. One day your on low sleep and working out, the next day you're paying the price and oversleeping. First show me what those times are, but off the bat I'd say on those 12+ hour sleeps you need to cut them short so you're exhausted and sleep earlier on your 5 hour nights - to get more like 8
E.g. if I stay up late on Friday and Saturday night going out clubbing till early hours of morning, then sleep in massively to recover. When it gets to Sunday night for Monday morning work, I can't fall asleep, I struggle on Monday morning, and then spend the rest of the week fixing the consistency, only to screw it up again Friday night
so 8 hours is good enough for sleep?
I generally play 9 - 9 maybe even 8 - 10 If It’s fncs season
But I am 13 and ur body’s might not be able to do that
Whats worse for affecting gameplay, sugar addicton or caffeine addiction?
Why would such question be trolling?
Melatonin is good for that cutter
@muted fiber 10km today, my feet and the interns of my thighs burn like hell
Too much can be, since it can make you shaky. Depends on how your body handles caffeine honestly.
any tips on quitting added sugar?
stick to fruits and stuff if you're craving a sweet snack
try to just keep stuff like soda out of your house if you can
it's a lot more tempting to reach for stuff that's in your fridge than if you have to go out and buy it
& not being able to impulse reach for a soda or a candy bar or whatever really helps you realize how much of it actually is just random impulsive eating
cuz ur bored or anxious or whatever
Not that it's necessarily demonic to have added sugar on a special occasion or if you're having some really nice food
But breaking the habit of eating it inappropriately was easiest by just removing its regular occurrence from my life for me
@tough basin Haha. In 1 week man you'll be craving it, the pains will just fade, 1st weeks the worst
@topaz yew Idk mah bad, sounded sarcastic for a sec
@eternal dock Never tried Melatonin, not fond of being dependant on that stuff for sleep? Have you
it's not addictive so you shouldn't become dependant
you would just take it during the beginning of the week
Ah I see. Maybe good for Icy then
what is the best thing to do to increase the amount of training i can do on a daily base? ( i was thinking of stuff like wrist workout but i have no idea how to start)
Shoving it into your workout routine is an option
wrist workout are often forearm isolation exercises or grip exercises, so you can add 1 or 2 forearm exercises in your routine or use a grip strenghtner when you're bored
like a fidgeting toy
@naive jay Go easy on those tendons man. Sometimes less is more, you could end up with an injury and then you'll not be able to train again (like me). However, stretching during breaks and general fitness/forearm workouts are a good start
2 more days of work and then i have 1 month off, i want to use it as efficent as possible and train 4 hours a day atleast ( with 2-5 hours breaks after every hour) im aware of the fact that to much is bad, but i know that hard work pays off
How many hours do you normally train
@naive jay definitely do warmup and stretches, and also don't spend your break on your phone, walk around some bit, get your blood pumpjng and let your hand rest
do you guys recommend drinking coffee before and when i am playing
i heard it makes u more reactive and alert so i was hoping to give it a try
caffeine is fine to try
id say try a small amount, don't overdo it
in smaller doses you get those effects
with little to no downside
in big doses you'll be shakier
it doesn't sound like you have a super high tolerance, so start small
ergochair 2 or secret lab titan?
@muted fiber yeah my calves are hurting like crazy
@late marsh A friend of mine bought a secretlab and said it was firm as hell. I think they're a little overrated. Not sure about ergochair
Stretch Rosbif haha
Will do
@muted fiber If I don't have Protein Powder, how can I make Proteic Pancakes? I didn't do breakfast and I am not in mood of eggs
@tough basin Hmm. What about eating some canned tuna/chicken separately? Is it because you ran out, or you don't buy protein powder?
I don't buy protein powder
Protein powder is the cheapest way to get it into your diet (1 shake is like $1. But the equivalent in meat is more)
Hmm without eggs.. what about beans?
I'll try those, didn't eat em in a while
Sounds good. There's no fat so they're great
Eggs have a lot of fat, so moderation is key
I didn't actually meet my requirements yesterday
I hate something like 700kcal and burned 500
Proteins and fats were high except for carbs
Does this mean I have to eat more?
By 700kcal, do you mean 700 calories?
I'd severely refrain from eating that little. If you reduce your diet that low your body will go into survival mode, start storing fat, permanently reduce your metabolism, which will permanently increase your fat cells also. This means it'll always be easier to gain weight, and it'll be fatty weight. Calculate your maintenance calories, then cut no more than 500 calories a day from that to lose weight
If you're feeling hungry at those levels, try and eat things like salad, vegetables, etc. Because eating just 1000 calories of greens will be so hard to get down. But a packet of lollies will be easy. Choose what you put in and it'll be okay
@muted fiber 2 Hours Max since my Hand doesnt allow more without taking breaks inbetween
What does your hand feel like after 2 hours?
when i tense i feel a tingleing in my hand or my tendons "snap" weird feeling i dont know how to describe extremly discomforting but doesnt hurt
nah its just when i overtrain
doesnt occure otherwise even when playing 8 hours (if its not kovaaks)
thats why i wanted to know if there was any workout to improve my training time
building in stretches in my routine seems like a good plan
Damn @naive jay you sure? Tingling is 🚨
100% it only happend twice and that was when i played 3+ hours kovaaks and atleast 6-8 hours Other shooters
Ahhhh okay like rare cases
since then i take it easy and either kovaaks OR play a game with the addition of taking breaks and stuff
and as soon as my hand feels discomfort i stop playing for the day
Dude I'm impressed. 5 mins nowadays and I'm in agony, had to give it up for nos
It's amazing you get those symptoms and it never got worse, and you've progressed to Grandmaster
how much did you play for it /until it got that bad?
I went from bronze to plat, in about 50 hours, and now I've had to give up using a mouse altogether
i have been gaming for 10 years now maybe i was so used to it so im able to take more?
Wtf
im talking about 10 years of coming from school and playing for 6 hours
Thats unfortunate @muted fiber
Interesting. I work a desk job 8 hours a day, I game maybe 3-4 hours. And was doing kovaaks 1hr
Gamed for 20 years (I'm 26)
Yeah it's a shame, idk how you guys do it :(
That's why I get concerned for you all haha
I'm 18 😳
i think the amount does it
i had a time when valorant came out where i played from morning till night and then after my friends went offline i switched to kovaaks and i had to switch to arm aim since my wrist hurt doing litterly anything but then i started working/Uni and didnt have the time to play that much after 2 weeks everything was fine
i think your hand would get better if you would take off some time from a mouse for a long time no?
Interesting point 🤔 What sense do/did you play on?
26 cm then switched to 45 cm not using my wrist at all (kinda aiming like INS404) and now im back to 24-31.5
You're absolutely right. I've quit my job, and I'm using a controller for gaming (no kovaaks at all), and I'm starting rehab with physio, I've got until 6th December to rest
Apparently tendons don't heal though, so it may not work
I see. So 25-30 seems to be the sweet spot
if you will ever be able to get back to gaming i would advise you to start aiming like him:
he almost never uses his wrist to adjust
I was on 40cm, dropped to 30 and found less arm movements ironically put less pressure on my wrist
I'll watch this rn and see what you mean
his "comfort range" should not affect the wrist/tendons that much
I sorta play that awy as well
That's how I currently play
the lowest cm I have used for a extended period of time was 46cm lol
One thing I can pinpoint, was that earlier this year I changed to fingertip grip from palm grip. I instantly got about 50% better. It was night and day. But the pains began
I also have large hands, using glorious model d
my wrist pain was really bad too but after 2 weeks of arm aiming not using my wrist at all it was fine again
but my grip is disgusting so that could explain why taking off wrist aim helps me
like only arm aiming would be 50cm
i learned it on 45 cm and now i use mostly arm aim on 31.5 too. so my grip problem is mostly fixxed !
i would either arm aim at 45+ or fingertip at 17-
I started on PC from CSGO at approx 60cm. I went to cod at 40cm. Now I'm at 30cm, and similar to you, arm aiming
Woah 17
17 sounds really fast but its pretty decent 11.5 is playable too 😄 but since you are already kinda used to arm aiming i would just go for a higher cm/360 again
You know what really hurts? Those 180 flicks. I find the higher the send (20-30), the less they hurt
sens*
It's amazing to hear your perspective on this considering youre so highly ranked
how much mousepad space do you have?
I'm going to mention your comments to my physio tomorrow, see what she says
I have heaps, 400cm wide by 350cm high
Keyboard is TKL so arms virtually straight
because when doing 180s i had to increase my mousepad space since i wasnt able to do it with my arm and HAD to use my wrist
but i guess space is not your problem
Ahhhhh that's deadly. Thankfully not the case
would be really nice if i was able to help or bring some light, i dont know how i would go if i lose the ability to do what i love 😦
lets hope it will get better
Yeah man you're absolutely right. Thank you, appreciate that a lot, really
I am hoping forearm workouts help it
Otherwise it's time to sell the 3090 and give it all up
dont worry man, there is always a way 🙂
if the forearm workout doesnt help something else will
maybe it just takes some time to heal
Good point, only a matter of time :) I'll post back here how it goes/my progress tomorrow
with physio
yes sir have a good one until then
You too legend
Sometimes at the end of a long session I get very very slight thumb pain on my right hand aka mouse buttons hand is that bad
I’m 13 and by long session I mean like 10 hours
holy shit that is long
Yh I just grind only toilet and eat breaks
I generally play 8 -10 so 14 hours
On a satarday I play up to 16 hours of fn
wtf
Yh
Is that bad for me in long term like hand n wrist
Only on sat on skl day I only play like 5 to 6 hours
only 6 H lmao
are you close to being pro?
Plus I take Tuesday of to do skl work
No but I’ve only just started grinding
But I’m progressing so quick
It’s the only thing I want to do
You need to watch out, dont get addicted or some shit
I’m not addicted
I just want something so I grind for it
Yh ik
It’s like practicing 3 throws 6 hours a day
I think playing that long without stretching in between isnt good for you, I am by no means a health expert btw
Yh
And stop as soon as you feel any kind of pain
hmmm idk about that
that seeems good
just dont fuck up your hand that young
yep
I play high sens so my wrist isn’t that much of worry
My pink for shift and mouse button thumb are the only areas I ever feel pain
I cant tell you about specific health issues, because im no expert are even educated in health, but I was told by my doctor to look far away outside the window for like 5min at times, that will keep your eyes alive
For the specific pain, ask a health expert in here or a doctor
Yh it’s only marginal but if it gets worse I’m 100% looking into it
Don’t want my Carter to end before it starts
Carrer rather
read pins 👍
playing that much is terrible in literlly every measurable way
its unhealthy
bad for body to sit that long, wrist to be strained that long, eyes to be focused that long
not even mentioning mentals and social lif
take this from someone who played tf2 and ow for like 8h a day from 11-16
i am better now and happier
i even got better at the games
u just kill mentals and body
i dont feel like a bad mental i love grinding plus i do do exercise cycle to skl everyday play football after corona and im gonna start taking breaks
so like that is it that bad
doing 16h a day of anything is fucking terrible
ur 13 so u dont see the long term consequence yet
itll also make adapting to new things better
like when u go to hs theres gonna be more work
and i focus to hard on this i need back up options
so im gonnat
try harder in skly to
if u focus hard and gamble being a pro and dont care about hs
u can easily get unlucky/burnout and realize the boat has sailed
yh
its not worth risking throwing away your life to go pro in a game rn
careers are way too short
esports too new
if u can, do it, ofc
yes
but dont all in something where u dont know how long you can last at top level
what if u play 16h a day, go pro
im still gonna play like 10 hours tho
but 5 years later ur washed up
yep
do u have school?
like normal school not online
oh
just make sure u do well and dont trap urself in one career as risky as gaming
dont burn urself out and enjoy the game
i love fn
just pray next season is good
yeah im forced to do well in skl to play and have support
my parents say as long as u do well in skl we dont care what u do in freetime
highly recomend https://youtu.be/GgZnkOADWDo

i wake at 7:40 what time should i go to sleep?
will take me longer than that for sure
i am used to going to bed at like 0am
if i keep consistently going at 22:25 ill be able to sleep at that time right?
ye
Lol
Gg lifting day on 2.5hr of sleep
Don't be like me
I'm gonna sleep early tonight to try fix it
@muted fiber it's impossible for me to eat all those calories because I think I can only eat those things under the total ( 87g carbs, 180g, ecc) How can I reach 1775 kcal?
How many cups of coffee can I drink a day before its unhealthy
Is it normal that my wrist has less range to the right side than it does to the left? (I am right handed btw)
Yes
Is it normal that my left wrist has more range than my right side, whilst I'm right handed?
@tough basin Idk man. Use MyFitnessPal and suss it out
@violet swan Coffee is arbitrary, caffeine you probably shouldn't exceed ~300-400mg max. That's about 3-5 cups of coffee roughly. However, caffeine tolerance occurs when you drink it daily, so it's benefit in excess is kinda useless aaand it's unhealthy. I'd drink 2 coffees every second day
I drink 3 cups a day
that's a lot just for the sake of tolerance/dependence
it's not necessarily gonna do anything to you but you'll feel worse without it & it's not gonna do much so if you can reduce ur consumption to cycle off it for a bit you'll get a lot more out of it
hello yes i love fortnite but i love aim trainers more and i have wrist pain, what should i do?
take a break
maybe for the ones here that they dont think they need a break, trust me you do. I am having meds for mental health issues and it go so far that i got brain fog etc. Dont overtrain too much!!! dont end up like me!!! I feel like i am not reacting to those targets anymore cause i am so used to point and shoot. Dont care about youre highscores, you will get better overtime. Just wanted that out the way.
@tough basin make protien shakes. heres my recipe that contains alot of calories. nearly 1000 total. 2cups water, 1 cup of dry oatmeal, 1-2tbsp of peanut butter, 1 serving of a protein powder of your choice ( I use orgain protein + superfoods powder), 1/2 cup of blue berries, and 1-2 tbps of honey. blend and enjoy. Its not alot of shake you can have it in one serving but i reccommend you split it into 2 and have it along side or after a meal. and for a meal you could make some ramen with tuna mayo mustard and honey. its pretty good and has like 600 calories
yo its me again thank you @orchid wharf and @shadow meadow for telling me to take a break. i was searching up videos on how to stop this from happening and i watched a video by a pro coach that collabed with 1hp, and my wrist, arm and my elbow feel so much better. thank you.
np dude i hoped i help
im glad i helped
remember to listen to your body and don't push yourself way too much
tips for better reaction time?
if your playing the whole day is it better to play 20 min and then do a 20-30 min break or to play 1 hour into a 1-2 hour break?
@laifu sleep well, take ur vitamins, play a rhythm game
@robust falcon
Replace take vitamins with eat well
Got my vrt from 240 to 130 avg doing the above
@naive jay My guess would be 20-30, on off. 1 hour straight promotes more strain
Mostly dependent on how long you can focus. 20-30 is about the right humber for most people, but I would reccommend finding out what suits you best. Also if you're going to play the whole day I would try the pomodoro technique
Ok so I started playing with my keyboard vertically and I get pains in my thumb from clicking the space bar alot is their any way to fix this?
@violet swan Keyboard vertically waaa?? Try not to slam it hard when you do it
@azure dome @astral current
Update: 2nd physio appt done. I'm experiencing same pain using mouse even after 1 full week rest off gaming and working desk job. Physio seems to think it's tendon damage in the golfers elbow (I can say with confidence KOVAAKS caused this). I've been given more extreme treatment for pain, I have to do 1kg wrist/forearm and grip exercises. I've been advised to keep the wrist neutral at all times when using a mouse.
The last point is odd because the problem was worse on 40cm/360 than it was on 30cm/360.
Another appointment next week, will report again
I still stand by my point that KOVAAKS and VOLTAIC need more emphasis on these warnings. I still see people in the health channel complaining about pains from kovaaks not knowing what they're getting themselves into. It may only be 5% of us, but it's a lifetime of issues
Im actually so sorry, hope you get well again @muted fiber
@violet swan dont turn it sideways?
Nah I play so much better sideways
I just get a thumb problem after like 3 hours just wondered if their was anything to prevent it but ah well
gripping my mouse hurts my pinky
@violet swan moving your thumb further down the space bar like closer to x helps me a lot
alr thanks man
why am i getting tunnel vision?
and should I stop playing?
i just started tho, maybe 25 mins ago
Thanks @thorny dew
@muted fiber we can tell ppl to do wrist and forearm exercises but ppl just want to aim. Like why so many ppl go to the gym and get injured trying to do the big lifts when they are 3 months away ready from it. Most ppl just think 'no way that will happen to me', or they just want fast results, so the warning won't do much. Look how many osu! Players get carpal or rsi, top players quit cause of it, but noone gives a fuck
Honestly the info and warnings are already there, just that it doesn't matter to most ppl
That's true. Agreed
yo @storm plinth could you point me the site u guys use for wrist exercises? or is it only to do pull-ups, hang bars, etc?
bc if it's that, then I am fine

Hm
Wrong link
u mean rotating the wrists with one hand attached to the other?
xd
What this guy is doing
ahhhh
I used to do those
ye i see u
i've got pretty good moblity actually. i praticed swimming for like 16 years
anyway i wanted to actually warm-up b4 kovaaks
i'll take a look at that
ty
Most importantly
Don't tense when aiming
Which is hard cause u sorta need to tense when tracking
ikr
i rly feel that on tracking
especially bc it's where I am worst at
so I tend to get nervous a lot and sometimes I would look at myself almost breaking the mouse
If you're shaking, you might be tensing
Practice some smoothness scens
Smoothness trainer on 25cm then 40cm for 5 mins each
It has absolutely no reading at all
And focus on not tensing
should I do the smoothness routine then?
i play at 38cm/360
i get like gold/plat on clicking but i can't even get silver on tracking
Sdks smoothness is more advanced
Do when diamond or masters
Sparky one I've never tried
so what smoothness scen should I do then?
okok
