my body is getting used to my ADHD meds recently so Ive been playing like shit
they make me jittery, gotta get used to it.
Im 19 but I decided I should probably finally get them for College since the learning situation at home is so shitty and my ADHD hasnt gotten any better
someone give this dude a banana man role
Arnt adhd meds support to be bad?
I mean there's not a lot of incentive to do any drug studies outside of big health orgs
Right just for the sake of anyone reading this. For fucks sake, do not stop taking prescribed meds or decide against seeking out medical help because some rando on the internet told you it wouldn't help.
@wheat charm which is why you dont trust the internet like it always right.
100% especially when it comes to health and medication, the people you should trust are actual medical professionals.
I got prescription meds for my depression and it helped a lot
@wheat charm obv but atleast in the uk alot of the drugs prescribed are just so they can make money which is why they made weed legal but not smoking or alcohol or aspartame of any of those chemical food poisoning
And apparently prescription drugs are an even bigger problem in the us
Like some kid finds it a bit hard to concentrate so instead of helping them of giving them a healthy diet make them by some drugs that fk them up
so to start. Aspartame in normal amounts has not been found to cause any negative health effects. The ADI set a max acceptable daily limit at 40mg per KG of bogy weight. An average person would need to consume about 19 cans of soda a day to cross that.
Now there are studies linking it and increased weight gain which seems to be caused by an increased appetite but there needs further research done to investigate that.
the US does have an opiod crisis and a general issue with diets but that doesn't mean that you should discourage people in general from looking for medical help. It can and should always be done on a case by case basis
Yeah I definitely agree And am not trying to say that all meds are bad but I wasnt really talking about weight
well weight and diet are linked TBF ๐
my main issue was just with meatheads statement
Stop taking meds only shilled studies with invested interest in the meds say they do any good
which not only a supremely unhelpful statement
it's just harmful advice
But I'm shore there is some truth in it tbh
Just don't be reliant
Some medications are hard for the body to process
It'd fine to take things if you're having issues just don't take them regularly like drinking water for example
I mean that depends on the medication
Some people live off of ibprophen, it's fine to take but don't use it like a daily thing
Yes that also
Children's calpol tastes soo good ๐ณ
Alot of things are used as a blanket to treat symptoms
Such as adhd medication with children
It doesn't really fix the issue it's basically just giving kids meth so they'll sit still in class
@halcyon nest can you shut up if you have no idea what you are talking about and advise people with ADHD to not use meds that help them?
...
Meds are good if you have adhd and are an adult
At a developmental age it's not the best idea tbh
The entire conversation has been about if they or dont help so u care to share ur opinion?@prisma cradle
I say this from exp because I had to take them
The biggest issue with adhd that causes issues is focus and attention
Through meditation you can correct this over time without medication
They obviously help if you have ADHD, can confirm myself. But, especially around 2009 I believe, there were many false positives for ADHD, so there is definutely many people taking ADHD meds who don't actually have ADHD, which is stupid.
This kid at my school as ADHD but also has sweets every day then people wonder why he isn't focusing and I'm not saying he doesn't have adhd but he would be alot better just with a good diet
Yeah diet is super important aswell
It's alot of things adhd makes you more sensitive to being overwhelmed
So sugar and caffeine makes you overwhelmed even more easily
The issue still is, no matter how good your diet is, how much you meditate, your concentration base level will always be below that of a person without ADHD
Yall need your calming green tea in the morning
I an not saying adhd meds are flawless or anything, just what the guy I tagged said was pretty disrespectful imo
Lmao hes a troll
^
Just read what he said
I've had a terrible experience with one specific adhd medication, I got really depressed and literally couldn't do anything...
Since then I've been taking what most people with ADHD use, probably known to you as adderal, but only when I really need it. I've developed huge respect for any psychoactive substance.
Probably aimer7 alt account
It can get above the average persons
As far as attention goes
It just takes time but yeah if you need them then take medication
Adhd makes life difficult all you can do is try to make the best of things and improve them as they to
Go*
I also learned how to concentrate if that makes sense to some extent, but I can mostly only focus on things I enjoy doing
That's where I need meds sometimes
Yes as I said just keep working on focus when meditating
It also gets better the older you get you develop more
Idk any depressedtard that fixed their issues by taking meds...reality = if you got tickled by dad at night medication isn't going to fix it
@halcyon nest did adderall hurt you when you were younger?
did it like pick on you and embarrass you in front of your crush
@worn wolf there no more need to further the convo you see his name move on. giving anymore attention is unnecessary
yea ngl i replied before realizing the conversation actually went on for a long time
@prisma cradle people with ADHD can also suffer from hyperfixation, something along the lines of "i like this thing I can focus on it for 14hrs straight over and over" while forgetting other things
definitely happens to me with kovaaks haha
I think the stigma around ADHD meds is that theyre honestly not great for you even if its a true therapeutic response
You really really need to hydrate and eat while on them both of which you don't want to do
And avoid caffeine which I cant do
Meathed is a troll
In this server
He's said alot of questionable things
In multiple channels
I get really angry and upset reading these false stigma surrounding ADHD and ADHD meds. I mean yes ADHD meds are not cough drops but taken like adviced they fucking help. Sometimes a clean diet and enough exercise is simply not enough when the brain works fundamentally different.
The issue is people abuse them for there effects
I need to go to the dr and get adhd meds tbh
I just keep putting it off
adhd meds would literally help ur kovaaks If you're saying its bad
@clear token I dont think you need to take this discussion so personally it upsets you and do you care to prove how its false?
You have to consider that governments have and do sometimes advice stuff for there own benefit not the persons for example I bet they make a tone of cash out of selling drugs and saying chemical food poisoning is fine for you
And there is always the possibility that the company's who sell the drugs lie about them
So ofc some people will always question how good stuff is and all the other factors
It's kinda important that you dont instantly believe everything you've ever been told and use alot of opinions and info to form your own views
For example I would just eat fast cheap unhealthy food with poisons and unhealthy chemicals in causing me to live a short painful life and die at a young age
The thing is nobody is telling me to eat fast unhealthy cheap food, whereas a doctor tells you what medications to take.
@steel quest I mean sure not informing about the meds you take is bad but you cant draw a line with your mindset. Where I live the doctor who is prescribing the ADHD meds has to talk to you throug all the possible side effects and also check if you fall into any risk category when taking them. You cant get any of these meds unless you have the actual diagnosis. No chance of getting is otherwise like through off label. On top of that there are regular check ups in the form of blood work, measuring pulse etc. With the mindset of "questioning all" which in your case just sounds like someone wants to make a profit and is selling poison as a medication you cant possibly be sure about anything anymore. At some point you simply have to listen to the expertise of people and the studies that were made.
When it comes to ADHD sure there is a lot to take into cosideration when treating it but the majority of experts on that field dont deny that meds have a place in the therapy. Like I said previously exercise, good diet also cognitive behavior therapy are all important but depending on how severe the symptoms are these things wont be enough.
I mean our society (speaking mainly of western society) has a minimum requirement on how to function. I wont say that this is bad or good. Its just the way it is. And for some people who deal for example with ADHD they cant find a place or acceptance in that society unless you help them finding the tools so they can fit in.
Not health related, but the fact that this server has one health channel is nice

yes
My eyestrain are killing me
I enjoy playing kovaak but after 2 challenges my eyes just hurt
These days, I cut my session short to 10min because my eyes are hurting like crazy
it pisses me off so much
What does it mean if im feeling squats mainly in my medial quads? Am i just weak there or is something wack with my form
well it depends on your stance but there's not necessarily something wrong with your form if that's where you feel it the most
are you doing high bar squats?
hmm
there's a chance you're feeling it there because you're leaning forward too much or something similar
as long as you're hitting depth and your heels aren't lifting and your knees aren't going inward on the way up I wouldn't worry about it too much
unless there's some kind of pain going on other than muscle fatigue
you could try to film yourself squatting and compare it to examples of proper form online
ahh that would make sense
im already working on flexibility so hopefully itll go away once i get more mobile
ah wait actually
after some more reading it seems like it might have to do with the foot angle
which is kind of related to flexibility, i used to squat with my toes pointed more out when my mobility was better.
@upper folio have you tried eyedrops and/or blue light glasses?
also your lighting conditions
@upper folio gunnar optiks work great. eyedrops as well, also a supplement called lutein super cheap healthy and creates a thin protective layer over your eye. Its really important to stare at objects 20ft or so away and relax your eyes, anytime your eyes look at something up close like your screen they are constantly contracted and there are two tiny muscles called rectus that don't get relaxed until you look at something from afar, not more than 30ft though cause that will cause them to contract again. do this for like 20 min a day.
gunnars arent the best brand imo but they do work at least
I need some opinions: Green tea or Black tea for aim?
green
1 cup of each ๐
Black has more caffeine
consider just drinking whichever gives you the most enjoyment in the moment
dont just buy cheap shitty store prepack tea
get some nice loose leaf and spend a bit of time figuring out what you like
becomes way more of a nice mentally relaxing routine thing to get in a good mindset for doing stuff
fwiw green tea is gonna have a lot more cool variation
not that black tea is particularly 'alike', but you dont get quite as much range of differing tastes
at least ime
the tea discord is genuinely cool if you wanna go ask questions in there
@dull void I'm using eyedrops bcz of my dry eyes and no I don't have blue light lenses or glasses.
@warm herald Lutein? Interesting, I'll try to inform myself a bit and use it.
ye
wait there is a tea discord? I also need an invite to that
I want that too
So I absolutely love tea and I agree that you should drink whatever is giving you some enjoyment
I personally like a nice and strong black tea in the morning because of my crippling addiction to caffeine
I'm just too lazy to make tea
I might get a Keureg or whatever they're called and get the pre-made tea for the morning
I give myself like 10 minutes tops to get ready for work ๐
give us the tea discord!
This tea discord is going to get flooded with Sparky members it sounds like
Give discord ๐
NO - _-
absorb the info, then make a tea channel IN sparky
@spice sand Health ๐
Oh the tea discord is easy to find, just google it
Noice
ahh the green compliments the mango
Thank you thank you
@arctic moat dont tell ppl about how handsome i am
since youve SEEN ME
@violet swan wait those are both my favourite teas lolol
jasmine green tea is so pog
๐ฆ
Jasmine tea is great
I was trying different white teas recently
I found this pomegranate that is so bitter its a joy to drink
Serious question, would Fatigue Proptosis and Astigmatism affect my vision while gaming? I feel like it doesn't but after doing a little research it shows that my vision may be impacted permanently, anyone else have any info on this?
That's a doctor level question
There's no indication that astigmatism would cause your vision to worsen from video games though, especially if your wearing corrective lenses
I'm wearing the correct lenses for computer usage
However I'm just unsure if video games would worsen my vision
Proptosis is way more doctor level. Or an optometrist at least
Also remember that for a lot of people vision progressively gets worse throughout life and for some it will stabilize and make them a candidate for lasiks
Feels weird having proptosis though, like my left eye just feels more open I hate it lmao
yea, I want to go with the laser eye surgery route in the future
That sounds not fun
but unsure when the right time would be
Do you see an optometrist yearly? Have you ever seen an ophthalmologist?
I went to an optometrist recently, within the last week actually. And i'm getting a referral put in to see a Ophthalmologist but with the whole COVID scenario I don't know when the appointment will be.
Yeah its rough for sure. I had covid a while back and its better safe than sorry, you don't want it
yea man my mother had to go through it, itโs scary, I think I had it last year november while I was working, people think it began this year but it was really around last year
@upper folio ๐
Mango appreciation message, click on the mango to appreciate
@upper folio have you tried eyedrops and/or blue light glasses?
@dull void Do you have blue light glasses with prescription recommendation?
Calisthenics 12 week program. I bought it a while back for some reason. Posting it here cause fuck rules tee hee
Xd
@upper folio not sure abt best quality but glassesusa has good sales a lot
Don't remember. But it was more than just that PDF. Its the system by bar brothers. Had some videos etc included on their webpage but idk my login @halcyon nest
Its a pretty trash routine to pay for. Its not bad, but its basically just do more sets forehead
I mean. I wouldn't by anything now cause I've changed my view on stuff
where is a wrist rest supposed to go up to on your hand/wrist
@violet swan is left eye the issue
I'm unsure, but my left eye just always feels weird lol
Just do more sets 4head
Why is eating healthy and sleeping well a huge factor in having a good aim?
Helps mental and brain
i've been having a problem in the past few days where my arm feels very tired after playing one run of basically any ts scenario. It's not to do with my sensitivity - i play 31.5-28.8cm
If I want to build my arms, chest and arms how many calories should I eat everyday?
Training for everyday for 2 weeks, doing strength and cardio
5'9 70kg, 17 years old
Just eat slight calorie surplus
Bjggewt thing for building arms is a ton of volume the german volume training is good but takes alot of time
For chest i built mine just doing chest 2-3x a week and bench on those days
I usually eat 3 times a day
So let's say 4?
Breakfast, lunch, Snack, Dinner
And what should I eat? Foods with high calories?
I hope liquid calories are alright
Whole foods
Sweet potatoes hard boiled eggs
Eggs in general
Uh
Oatmeal
Oats etc
Either just add a bit more or try to throw in a breakfast or a small meal in-between if you're just at maintenence rn
Try to space out meals like evenly apart
So say 8am breakfast 12 lunch 3 snack 6 dinner
Every 4 hour, let's say
That leaves a solid fast in-between aswell which boost metabolism
No just healthy foods that aren't heavily processed
Ah
Like chipotle over mcdonalds
So I made an error by eating 2 packets of crackers and one glass of Fanta?
Oats mixed with cinnamon instead of the processed kind etc
(that is my snack)
Calories are good but you wanna make sure they're not bad macros
You want high protein and fat and low carbs
Ideally
And what is a snack that follows those lines?
If you're trying to get lean
(Since I train at 18:30 to 21:30)
You can eat hardboiled eggs
Would be one option they're ezpz to make in an airfrier.
That's mostly carbs but better then crackers and fanta
Pretty much anything semi healthy
What's the second choice before eggs?
Anything healthy thats high in fats or protein and not carbs basically
Yeah but what's the percentual or the max calories I can eat as a snack?
Like, for snack, you can only eat 185 calories
or something like that
Idk what your maintenance is
What's that?
Id you just continue the same lifestyle do you gain or lose weight
Eat the same time same thing everyday
Then you want to add calories
Maintenance is the zone where you dont lose or gain anything
Then I'm in that zone right now
You can do coffee or tea just soda is bad
Whatever you want
I would try to keep it around the 200 range tbh
Just chill with whatever you eat tbh
The goal is go slowly implement a healthier diet
I know
So: To reassume
200 Calories for Snacks
Semi-Healthy foods
Slight Slurplus in calories
Foods high in fat and protein, low on carbs
Yes
Then overtime pick at your main diet and try to cut specific foods or bad habits out
Such as soda for example
Don't go extreme or you'll just revert small things over time will make changing it easy
Yeah
No junk foods
No soda
I can eat any fruit?
Like, I can eat as much watermelon as I want?
Not many
Don't overthink calories with things like that
Veggies and fruit are generally low cal
You might build just by adding volume tbh i wouldn't overthink diet too much
adding volume?
It's very important but if you go too hard with it It's hard to maintain
More reps/sets
Per week
10x10 on arms will make you grow fast but sucks to do.
Jesus wtf
Also, I hate 400 calories of crackers
You don't need to do the routine itself
I think that I should do a bigger surplus, since 200 calories is the snack I eat most of the time
But the volume training stands as far as 10x10
So say biceps are what you wanna hit do 10x10 2-3x a week
Curls
How long is rest?
1 minute
And whole routine?
I think?
I did 1-3 mins
It's more of a method to put on volume
Yes
And in how much I will see noticeable differences?
Well push-ups are a bad example you want to challenge yourself
So say bicep curls 10x10
You wanna be near failure or at failure on 10
Not hard enougj
Failure?
You can't do another rep
Ok so only arms then
is there anything I can do without weights?
No weights hmm
Look into calisthenics programs
I'm not super familiar
You could also get gymnastic rings
Those are kinda pog
gymnastic rings?
Like the
The ones in the air?
Yeah
But if I were to buy gear, what would you recommend?
If it hurts and you feel like it shouldn't be, the best course of action is to talk to your GP, they can actually look at it and provide much more accurate advice than we could ever do here
maddie you're a baddie
๐ฆ
@forest chasm could be early stages of cubical tunnel or you put pressure on your elbow that could have caused it I wouldn't overthink it unless its concerning and happens regularly
It's probably early stages of cubical tunnel you 100% wanna go to the doctor for it.
Also identify it there's pressure on your elbow or if you sleep with your arm up by your ears
No numbness is from the ulnar nerve that runs from your neck down through your elbow into your hand when it become entrapped it gives you that numb or tingly feeling and sometimes pain in the ring or pinky finger
It can be fixed by flossing and doing stretches or a splint when sleeping if you catch it before it's severe
If you neglect it it can end up needing surgery to fix it so
100% go to the dr
No problem I hope it helps
Ehy @eternal dock came back from training
I currently ate 3 pieces of potato casserole
I think that's a calorie surplus, isn't it?
Yes
Nice
We did 3 reps of
10 pushups
30 sec of knees to the leg in plank position
10 pushups
30 sec of knee stretches
Dark, sorry if I disturb again. But my right tricep aches more than the left one, is it normal? I'm right handed
Might just be you tensed it harder working out
Or its weaker then the other
Or you put more weight on it then the other
Many things it could be
Oh, alright, thanks
Everyone has slight imbalances
https://bit.ly/32LIwOk Survey you should take because I need for school research practices =/
bet
what keyboard size is best for ergonomics?
60%, 65%, 75%, or TKL?
@lusty river please.
Any exercises for fat people that get tired really really quickly?
you can start going on brisk walks and gradually work your way up to running once your cardiovascular health improves
Try and get some kind if heartrate tracker
What is a brisk wall?
Calculate the target heartrate range for your age and see if you can keep your heartrate in that range while walking for 45 minutes straight
3 days a week
Brisk walk is different for everyone, it's based on how you feel
for most people 3.5mph
just like fast walking
I talked with my mom about this Discord,
And she said that I'm not that fat.
I have 108kg of weight, which for me is fat.
Any exercises for people with this weight or you guys still recommend walking?
@mossy rose 108kg is overweight unless its like all muscle but i assume since you asked for exercises that you probably aren't very muscular. Brisk/Speed walking is good for beginners who may not be able to run without injuring themselves. So yeah start walking like @worthy cloud said 3 times a week and try to keep that pace that he mentioned. It might take a while until you can jog or run, but dont rush it because injuring yourself is the last thing you want to do. Also stretching is good.
Some beginner resistance exercises might help as well
Bodyweight lifts or resistance bands are easy ways to get started with gym access
Since I play football, eating pasta is like a main thing for me
For Lunch I ate
One plate of pasta
4 lil pieces of cheese
1 piece of potato cassarole
2 pieces of findus
I need to have a slight calorie surplus, did I eat too much?
I need a calorie surplus to gain some arms muscles
It depends how much you weigh.
Go to a tdee calculator
tdee?
Thatโs wrong
I think you missed a number
Itโs in pounds, not kg
So type in 154
Use the TDEE calculator to learn your Total Daily Energy Expenditure, a measure of how many calories you burn per day. This calculator displays MUCH more!
that's what I am using
1.76 cm tall
yeah
CM
All good man
OK so
I am.. Underweight?
Your BMI is 10.3, which means you are classified as Underweightโฆ
Uhh
let me try again
K now it's good
Your BMI is 22.6, which means you are classified as Normal Weightโฆ
What does these numbers mean?
Sure, and sorry for bothering so much
Do you know your bodyfat %
No, sorry, how can I calculate it?
So itโs hard to calculate it but probably from 14-20%
Yeah
How much exercise do you get a day?
2 hours for 6 days every day
Because thatโs a factor in these calculator
Strength and cardio
Wow
Yeah, I began playing football again
And they're making me do push ups, didn't make them in a long time
Could be a bit more, could be a bit less, itโs hard to be certain
Yeah thatโs what I saw too, but then again you are heavily active
So those numbers are probably normal.
Yeah
What I would do is either a lean bulk of 250 calories per day or 500 per day
This will minimize fat gain while you pack on muscle
What's the difference?
250 will be slower muscle gain but a lot less fat
500 will be faster muscle gain but more fat
Hmm, 250
You can adjust the amount if the scale changes too much
Iโd start at about 3200 per day and see how your weight fluctuates
myfitnesspal
Oh
Yeah thatโs a tough one
If itโs homemade, itโs very hard to do
Sometimes the recipe says it if itโs online
Sometimes I just have to look up what it is thatโs being made and estimate
Hm
Youโre playing football and trying to get bigger so itโs fine if you eat more than youโre supposed to for one day
Pasta is fine if you need the carbs because you workout
Chicken, steak, pork
Any meat really
Protein shakes are good too
At dinner and lunch?
You should have protein at all your meals
I'll search on google a scheme with all foods with proteins
It helps with muscle gain
Ok wow, many foods
Eggs, bread, hummus, nuts, cheese, fish and meat
I thought bread didn't have proteins but more carbs?
Bread is mostly carbs
Nuts is mostly fats
Hummus is... not sure
Cheese is a decent amount of protein
Fish and meat is a ton
Hm.
Eggs is also a lot (egg whites at least)
You can eat it as it has nutrients
Breakfast: Eggs
Lunch: Pasta/Meat
Dinner: Fish or Meat
If you want, you can mix some snacks in throughout the day
Oh yeah the snacks
Or split your meals up for a few more meals
Some people have 6 meals a day
cookies
Yeah, my father have 6 meals a day
Mostly with the ice cream, not the creamy one, but the one on the stick
I don't remember the name
Yeah, he buys them every 3 days
At least 30?
He got operated, he had calculus
Anyway, for snacks
What do you suggest?
Hm
Granola
The bar ones?
Greek yogurt? Doesn't that have much fat?
To reassume: Breakfast: Eggs and Milk
Lunch: Pasta and parmigiano reggiano/ Meat with salad
Dinner: Meat and salad
Hm
How much meat should I eat?
Also yes, you're right, I can vary with eggs
And bresaola I think?
@tough basin
Meat should be as much as you need. Measure it out in portions
I wouldnโt worry about macros for now
Macros?
Iโd just try to get a lot of protein and hit your calorie goal
Carbs, fat, protein
Whatโs 250?
The calories that I need to intake daily, right?
2600-3200 depending on your activity
Oh, not 250?
250g might be protein but thatโs a bit too high I think
After 150g it doesnโt really matter
Ok so 150g of proteins
Yes.
Carbs and fat donโt matter, but know that you should keep eating them both
You need energy for sports and workouts
Alright, how can I calculate proteins?
If you have a food scale, that would be great
You can measure out portions with a scale
Awesome
No problem dude.
I hope I gave the right info
No but for real, I never met someone like you, thank you
๐ Good luck!
Thank you!
154 g
Yes so 150g+ is accurate
Main foods: Eggs, Pasta, Meat, Salad, Cheese
Yeah those are good especially the eggs
Pasta is carb heavy but as he told you above dw too much about it early on
Yeah, I need it because I play football
Unless your trying to get shredded and you're already healthy it's not a big deal
Mass > shredded imo
And train 6 days a week
What does that mean?
Pasta is like, necessary for me
I don't mean I can't live without it, but I need to eat it for energies
I mean
Shredded is where you're super lean and low body fat
If your building for football you want to build for strength so
Yeah
Don't worry about carbs and fats so much just eat alot
Ok then
And lift heavy
I just have to be careful with proteins
150g+minimum
I don't have weighs, but I do burpees, pushups, these kinds of things
"Natural weight"
Right now I have to snack, what do you suggest?
Yeah that's good if you have a park or anything you can do pull-ups on
There are some really good variations you can do to build strength
Greek yogurt is good he mentioned that earlier
Hm
Something w protein most likely but be careful your body can only absorb 30g per hour
I believe it's 30 might be higher
What do you say? It isn't greek but it's yogurt
It has proteins, not many but still
Can't see how many servings but
Per 100g
That could work
Not fat just big :)
K so
Also
Gymnastic rings
Oh yeah
If everyone else your playing with is only doing calisthenics
Also those, I should buy them
Yes
Calisthenics?
Bodyweight stuff
Ah
The snack is just to add calories
It's up to you if you want to eat more
Oats with strawberries and cinnamon is good
Yeah just don't overeat too much cheese
It seems like you live in a different country then I do so things are much different there then they are here
Well alot of the quantities too, what I consider a normal meal is probably alot more food then you
Probably
Also just standard yogurt seems alot healthier then it would be here
Since i even eat less than the medium italian
I guess because ours it's homemade
I think?
But anyway, why shouldn't I overeat cheese?
Different culture the US they pump as much flavor into everything as they can which is mostly sugsr
Because it can make you constipated lol
iirc
Oh.
Yeah that is right
When we go and do a football withdrawal
(don't remember the name)
We don't ever drink milk in the morning
For the simple fact that it takes way too much to digest
So yeah, I guess you're right about the cheese
Well idk though as I said different culture so you might not be eating that much
Yeah
You can dm me so we don't spam the health channel
Whenever I do my Kovaaks routine or benchmarks my mouse arm starts shaking after some time which lead to decrease my possible scores a lot. never have that while gaming and even filmed myself to see if I do smth different but I dont. Anybody knows why ?
u might be getting nervous or fatigued
does it stop after u take a break and come back?
yeah but it comes back after a few mins Its almost impossible me to aim consistent at a 1min benchmark and impossible on longer ones like air and ground plaza. Dont have it in comp games and not even if I play 8 hours straight. thats what I dont get
i play with fingertip with my fingers locked, so the range of motion is only with my wrist and arm aim, is this good? i hope you can picture what im saying
like my hand and fingers is very still like a statue, but fingertips are the only points of contact,
in terms of like how it affects your aim it really doesn't matter as long as you aren't overly tensing which sounds like it could be an issue. As for if it's health that kinda depends, constantly keeping your fingers in the same state wether extended or contracted can cause issues.
So I've noticed that there are times in which when I aim I tend to have some shoulder pain. I can't really figure out why because of the fact that somedays i have none and other days I can feel it. Sometimes when I am I lift up my forearm a little bit just so that my arm can move around my mousepad without getting stuck. Maybe that could be my issue I'm not necessarily sure.
Are you stretching and warming up
You probably use your shoulder quite a bit when you aim
And are you stretching/cooling down after a session
I do like an occasional stretch between sessions. After not at all if I'm being honest
@wheat charm how do I know if Iโm overly tensing
Check the "how to relax" doc in #resources
is there a way to differentiate covid from a normal flu/fever?
getting tested
i see thank you
Does RGB cause any health issues
Legit question
Blaring lights 24/7 has to have some effect on you
@lusty river well technically rgb trigger epilepsy attack if that you asking
What if you have one static color?
When I put my arm on the handle of the gaming chair, it rubs.
And it would hurt my recoil control.
I even washed my hands and my arm but it didn't work?
So what should I do?
I took off my chair arms
I stopped using them because I was suggested not to
But I occasionally use them when tired
ok boys best gaming chair for $350 or less, and best value chair of any price point (but if there are two, use ll)\
just get an ergo chair honestly
i know 0 about the chair world so i would have no idea what to look for
and those usually seem really expensive and all i want is a semi decent chair with adjustible armrests and like everything
theres a really good youtube channel that just covers office chairs
ill try and find it
just go through there, they have top 10 lists at certain prices
thats what I would do
@violet chasm i would highly reccomend ikea markus if you around that price range
also if you have ikea near you can just test and sit
I fixed my arm posture. My aim is going to be
for awhile.
wat does water with lemon even do for you?
taste nice
@graceful pine trust it's worth it
i used to be so low to my desk that I had to have my arms far out to my side without hunching my shoulders
I moved up and I can pivot WAY better now
but it took awhile to adjust
The main adjustment is in my wrist. It's not used to moving at this angle and throws me off.
Also I'm trying to stop floating my forearm and keep it planted.
yo does kovaaks damage your hand/arm over time
my right hand is way more tense then my left and I'm already on an ergo mouse (EC2)
and on ambi mice I straight up get mouse finger
Its not kovaaks/aiming its your form. If you are not moving your mouse properly and taking care of your hands/wrist/elbow/shoulder you can hurt them
can someone show me a proper example of proper seating ergonomics and arm placement?
There should be one in the pinned messages
Should I remove the arm rests on my chair if they don't align with the desk?
They're slightly below at max height
Example here.
If you think it's messing with your posture then go for it
I personally don't use arm rests on my chairs
if you can raise your chair still, sure
Honestly my desk is too tall for me but I can't adjust the height.
if you cant then you dont really gain anything by removing them
Maybe they're keeping him from getting close enough to the desk
^
I never used arm rests because they get in the way when I play guitar
mm that too yeah
if theyre obstructing whatever you wanna do, get rid of em i guess
i hurt my wrist lifting, does anyone know some exercises to lessen the pain/make it heal faster?
That depends a lot on the type of injury
With some things all you can do is rest it, maybe heat/ice
You could try some of the stuff in the mobility guide in the pins, but if it hurts really bad see a doctor
Is it at least less painful than at first?
Consider seeing a doctor if you can
If its getting better you might just need more rest
ty
@worthy cloud If I'm on a High Protein and Fat and Low Carbs "Diet", how much g of Carbs should I eat?
Depends on if you're wanting keto amounts of low carbs or if you just want low carbs
If its a more bodybuilding dieting approach they use percentage splits. So like 50%p/20-30%fat/20-30%carb and you just adjust those numbers to get as high protein/low carb as you want
Something like this?
*Fats are one the right side
*1097 are the calories I ate
*1623 are the calories I need to eat
I have been training for 2 months straight. 2-3 hours every day. Because I am at the early stages, I still tense up my muscles way too much and as a result I started getting this stinging feeling that repeats every 30 seconds in my neck. It went away a couple hours ago but I am thinking of taking a couple of days off to see if it comes back. Has anyone encountered this issue?
Any food you guys recommend to make me smarter and have faster reactions?
blue berries lol
I think there isn't any blue berries in my country.
blueberries
blubberies.
@mossy rose a country without blueberries is a country not worth living in!
Green tea
just order it online then??
Is it normal that after the day of my football training (that lasts 2 hrs with some breaks to drink and wash our face) pimples grow around my mouth?
ive been taking adderall (prescribed) for a few months now but havent taken it for the past 2 days because i just had surgery and am gonna be recovering rather than really needing to think and use my brain (things adderall helps me with) but these past 2 days ive been extremely sleepy and slow, could this be just from not taking adderall or maybe lingering effects from anesthesia from surgery?
I've been thinking of getting an adjustable desk, so I could stand and sit to play which is probably a lot better for my health in general. Anyone have any idea how much I would have to dump into to get a decent adjustable desk?
@worn wolf prolly both
also doesn't mean thaz not taking adderal will make you
worse
its just your body being used to it
alright, as sleepy as I am its honestly been nice having an appetite again but was worried my body was really depending on adderall and i didnt realize it until stopping
well ye
ofc
if you take it regularly
you will kinda develop a habit
your body gets used to having the meds
so its wierd for you when not
only natural that that has some kind of effect on you
is this the right channel if I wanna learn about my mouse grip?
Low mood and fatigue are some of the withdrawal symptoms of adderall.
r/nofap
Masturbation is completely normal and healthy. Addiction, to anything, is unhealthy and potentially crippling. No it is not bad for fps games.
nofap gang
Stay the fuck away from nofap.
The amount of brain-dead incel-ism there is off the walls, coming from someone who spent awhile playing fapstronaut with them.
It'll benefit you if you have a compulsion/resort to it as a knee-jerk reaction to stuff, ie stress, anxiety, anger, or boredom. But it most certainly won't turn you into this messiah of masculinity and wellbeing. The whole "reboot" nonsense is new wave anti-masturbation rhetoric.
nah I mean if u don't do it often who gives a fuck
but if you do it
every day every other day
nofap could be beneficial
also will help with self control
and I actually think fapping might be bad for fps games depending on how you feel afterwards
if you get hit with post nut depression like I do
it's definitely bad
if you feel good after it fuck it then
I don't feel bad after doing it
But it affects physical performance, just that
nofap, in my opinion, it's not so good
It's good that sometime you abstain from it
It's not so good if you try hard to suppress what you naturally need
i am having trouble focusing on the bots for more than 10-15sec, any solution to this
@past oasis you either need sleep or water
Those would be the obvious things- could be 100 other things. Try those first
i drink sooo much water everyday
my sleeps fucked too
go to sleep at 6am and wakeup at 4pm
with having to wake up twice to piss inbetween
Drinking green tea and eating blueberries to become an elite gamer.
what are blueberries for?
I'm pretty sure u eat them
oh ok i get it now
weighted blanket yes?
Theyre pretty loved by most that use them and if you don't have any ortho issues you may be one of those that love them
Hey, do you guys have any tips for me and my hand?
After I grip my mouse while playing kovaaks, I get strains in the joints on my pinky finger and in my palm
Iโm a finger tip user btw
@jaunty stag theyre supposed to help vrt i think
Does anyone else get a pain in their arm after playing kovaaks. Been playing for 6 days with 1 hour sessions, now my arms feels like i just did a workout
Will i gain aiming muscles ๐ค
maybe, if you aren't used to it
might mean you overtense as well
I have problems with overtensing which makes my arm hurt a lot
what part of your arm?
Dont listen to these guys nofap is good if ur addicted its common sense
Hey, I play finger grip and my pinkie was pain when i play clicking and in focus
How to fix?
k
what part of your arm?
@dull void
Its under the armpit and a few inches down
And my hand right hand seems to be in pain now when i try to stretch it the same way i stretch the left
is it bad if my elbows are outward
i eat banana :DDD
@clever onyx maybe you're squeezing the mouse subconsciously when you're focused on click timing?
try playing while focusing on keeping your grip not overly tense
also I use grip tape on the right side of my mice for comfort
@violet swan it could mean that you have rounded forward shoulders which is a common posture issue for people who sit at a desk a lot
Could also be because your desk is too high and you rest your elbow on it
yeah
i've arm aimed ever since i first started playing fps games, but recently decided to start working on wrist aiming after joining this discord and seeing how beneficial it can be. Problem is when I track using wrist aim, especially on slow moving targets (especially ones moving to the right), it looks like I legitimately have parkinsons. I've even noticed that when I do the wrist stretches it shakes if I try to do them slowly. Is this something that can be fixed through smoothness training (which ive been doing for about 2 weeks) or am i kinda just screwed.
smoothness training. Had same problem would shake so much when tracking to the right after a few weeks it completely went away. went from 720 thin gauntlet to around 870
smoothness training. Had same problem would shake so much when tracking to the right after a few weeks it completely went away. went from 720 thin gauntlet to around 870
@violet swan thank u for giving me hope lmao thought it was just a gg go next for me
@worn wolf I have the same problem. I played on 48-49cm where my aim wasnโt shaking. I increased my sens by 20%, about 40cm and took me about 3 weeks to get better aiming then when I was on 48cm. I repeated the same step and Im now on 37cm.
Yea my worry isnt about sens or feeling shaky in game or anything really, its that if i just make the wrist movement in general my hand/wrist shakes
@worn wolf I am also having that problem. Have been training smoothness and precision for the last 15 days and it is indeed getting better. Just saying for the ease of mind ๐ There is nothing wrong with you, just keep training.
I just started reading some theory stuff before playing any kovaaks
It says in the guide that the palm grip is the most common/natural but holds you back the most
And I've been using palm grip while playing pubg for about 1500hrs(only previous fps experience that I have)
Is there any way to condition myself to use claw or fingertip grip because when I try to use any of these 2 I just subconciously go back to palm grip again
does balancing on my head help with blood flow?
@soft stag training on higher sens might help
Wim hof method =
Palm is fine.
I think the point to which palm is holding you back is the least concern.
Soak it in oatmeal bro
It cooks in the hot bath with you
Ok so I bring the microwave in the bath with me
Then start cooking the oatmeal
Then pour it in with my rash
Thanks kev

Add blueberries and brown sugar
I think my VRT is already good but I grab some blueberries anyway
Maybe some walnuts
Already got that covered, should be 2 nuts in the bath to start
Leg broke pls help aim
Cut it off ,the bloodflow in your arms will increase vrt
Can confirm removing legs = sparky master
Im so above this shit i circled back to bronze rank

is it okay to give myself eye cancer and survive so I'm immune to eye cancer to I can buy a crt

0% placebo and at least 10% increase with actual ingredients
insane improvements
Lutein and Zeaxathin
10% is kinda wild i would be crazy not to try this out
whats even more wild is how the placebo effect legit had 0%
increasing its legitimacy
placebo does work but this is beyond that from what im reading
What Nootropics you on @eternal dock
Chaga lions mane and l thiamine @glad sorrel i haven't used them in ages though but I use to daily
heard a lot of good things about lions mane, prob get it for sports as well
ben bad confirmed
Idk what to do i aim train 25 to 30 mins a day and always am super consistent with aim training but i feel like my mouse control is not improving and it just feels like im wasting time and its messing with my mental because its making me think that i wont be able to get super good mouse control so i dont have to worry about my aim any more when i get into fights its really getting me upset anyone know how to fix this mentality or suggest things to do?
train longer
Play to improve
that too
@hallow heron yeah i want to try to aim train longer but sometimes i question if im aiming the right way like am i holding the mouse correct am i having good posture its like im worrying about a lot of things when im aiming cause i want to make sure im doing it correctly
i would just focus on aiming and stop worrying about the other stuff
alright ty so much
get an ergonomic chair if ur worried about posture
Embody only good gamer chair
if u can afford it
Kekw
yeah i never feel the back of my chair cause its kinda slanted away from my back its hella weird lmao
maybe scooch closer to ur table
that fixes my posture
and helps me focus more too
Embody is only good gamer chair even though it probably costs as much as your pc
@formal lotus like bro i just searched it up and my jaw actually dropped
Embody x logi or regular embody
anyone taking L-theanine how do you counteract the reduction in reaction time?
or taking it with caffeine in capsules
I have capsules of 200 mg of L-theanine and 100 mg of caffeine each. Take one in the morning, been happy with it is so far
๐ nice will look into that
