lies
you know it ppl who hike will go no matter what for some reason
my dad loves walking to the point where he randomy dissapears for half a day cuz he wanted to see is the town next to us walkable too
nice talking with you good luck with your shoulders can I add u to follow up on your shoulder problem later I still wanna help
sure sure I’ll accept the request
I’ll text you back when Im home
ok
man u caught me
does anyone here have any experience with having a grip that is negatively impacting their arm and how to swap to a more healthy grip?
I suggest watching West Proctor on YouTube for tips on a healthy and stable grip/posture. He has plenty of videos that I think you’d benefit from
@pallid mural
Update, been doing the exercises plus two more that my physiotherapist said were core to my recovery and the pian is still very much the same
I played a game counterstrike and I have a trigger point I cannot untie
Till probably ache for the rest of the week
Things of note
The only two things that hurt
Is holding a mouse and cooking
Those hurt for days
Others are not as impactful
But Laundry hurts too
It's the muscle knots or trigger points that I cannot resolve
And they don't leave
Stop using ur hand thats painful
I hope u didnt play a lot still all this time
Where exactly is it hurting again?
Did the pain come back or stayed the same all this time
Hows ur posture throughout the day and on pc?
I played exactly 2 hours total in ~40 days
I don't game
Pain between shoulder bladr and spine
It happens when I use a computer
It's my mouse arm
It hurts from work
But even from days I don't go to work like yesterday
U work with mouse all day for this time?
Do u do mobility for ur rhomboid at work?
Frequent breaks?
Posture?
Anyone know how to wake up on time? Alarms dont wake me up and I dont want to rely on my mom. Although sleeping earlier is a solution to this, I cant always sleep early and its very hard for me to sleep.
srry , how can i get the rank role like ( silver , plat , ext)
Yes
A few in my shift, it's a stressful job
I have good posture
Im afraid this work is interfering with the recovery process, given the information u’ve given me, or at least slowing it down. Consider buying a vertical mouse, i think it will help
Did the professional give more input on what to do going forward?
I go to a physiotherapist every 2 weeks, he doesn't understand why this is happening, I've been to others.
I've been to doctors and they refuse to do anything but give me painkillers.
I've tried using a vertical mouse for a few months with no luck
But did u try on this period after new exercises from squatuniversity?
Im just guessing here what could work
Did u try 1hp exercises as well?
Im quite sure the repeated stress on the joints from work isnt helping at all
I was already doing them, the mobility one was the only new one
The ones from the Rambo video ?
No the 1hp youtube / site
Specialized gaming pain group
They’re also in this discord u can @ them
Ofcourse, watch and read as many info as u can
Wishing u a speedy recovery
You got a link to the that 1hp exercises?
No it depends on pain area, u can search their youtube channel playlists
Or the website
Here is to hoping
I can't really quit, doctors can write me a short term leave for a few months u till I recover but they don't want to
You need to talk to a doctor then man, no youtube video will really help your situation
Cuz the first step of improving your situation is to stop doing the shit that hurts you
and only a doctor can give you medical leave
See here in Canada the walk in clinics and ER doctors don't care for you
They just want the next patient in
Don't you have healthcare through your job?
Not how Canada works sadly
It's government controlled
I have a health card
But I don't have an assigned family doctors as they are difficult to come by
oh yeah
So much so have had no luck in the search for the last 10 months since my prior let me go to retire
I mean, you kinda just have to go to the doctor then, or get a time with them
I go every other weekend
They just write me stronger painkillers
I can't go in weekdays because the clinics close after 5
Which is when I leave work
Wait so your problem gets worse by working and you don't get time off from the doctor?
Seems like it
I have an escape plan in mind, I'm just waiting on some governmental papers
But thay might be 4-17 months
I can't leave my job until then
I've been gritting my teeth and working though the pain for close to 19 months
To me this seems like something that will lead you to early retirement from disability if you don't fix it now
But its reached the point where I'm super depressed because the pain never subsides
My friends told me to file for disability
I can get more accommodations thought it
Mind you I work in IT infrastructure
So at most I'm moving servers
It's the mouse side that hurts
Mate it doesn't matter even if ur work is to stare at a clock if that is causing you pain, it's still your work that causes you pain
You could sign up with 1HP, if they accept you as a customer
Like online physio therapy?
How do i feel comfortable at my desk, i try all the ergonomics helpers but it feels like I’m too high up in my chair snd my elbows still wont reach 90 degrees. Im 6ft with 72cm desk height (can adjust)
realistically how much can i do with a wrist injury aim training wise
ive avoided training for like 2 weeks now without any improvement and im just getting extremely bored not doing anything
is it worth it to aim train if im really tired or should i just take a break
You should look at why you are tired. Are you tired because you had a long day at work and you are physically exhausted? If so then maybe skip the training since you won't be able to put full effort into it in order to improve. But if it's something like you just feel tired but haven't really don't much then you should focus on making sure you are eating right and getting the right amount of sleep and exercise in order to keep your energy levels up and so that you csn train with focus and Intent.
ive mentioned this before like plenty of times, im in a constant tiredness with insomnia
there's some days where i sleep fine and some i dont
and yes ive tried many things
Well then at that point there isn't much that can be done. You can always train but just understand that if you don't train with a healthy energized body, the training won't be ad effective. So you just have to weigh weather or not you want to commit your time to possibly sub par training.
I would hope you don't quit in the search of trying to find a solution to your insomnia and I'm sorry to hear you are dealing with that.
took me a long time to get plat but 1 to get diamond but yeah ive been dealing with it for years
its a thing i complain a lot about here, but not much i can really do other than hope the appointment i go to soon helps
i get 3-5 hours of sleep a night what do i do is this like really really bad
Sleep more
getting a tensing feeling while aim training in this area could it be due to my grip?
probably straining your thumb somehow
the only thing i could think of is my grip
you might bend your thumb in too much
and so it might be strained due to an odd position
so used to this grip i’m scared my aim will some how go with it if i switch
try like moving your hand back a bit more so you don't bend your thumb as much
Most important
You can't improve without sleeping
learning happens when you sleep
it's like you get xp during day and during sleep you lvl up
I use a fingertip grip on the ulx, but recently its been causing a lot of strain on my upper forearm near my wrist; i also hold my mouse super far back from the front and i'm not sure whats ideal. any advice on how to help with the pain or adjust my grip would be appreciated 😅
i honestly dont know how to hold my mouse other than in fingertip rn lol
its probably partially because of how far back my hand is when i fingertip
yeah
honestly i do a lot of movements with my wrist even with my arm on the table
mainly
everything that isn't a large movement is with wrist
maybe
whats the ideal for that
my elbow kinda hurts when im playing tracking scenarios, my table is too small so i cant really put my elbow on the table, any advice?
If u’re sitting too low raising the chair or using a pillow will help
Do y’all reckon muscle soreness from the gym (DOMS) negatively affects aim?
Ye probably
Exercising in general helps tho
Take a break before hopping on pc
frfr
I just got back in the gym after a small break so I’m getting sore
but it’s doesn’t affect me after continued gym-going
Cool 👍
Maybe less super stretched positions as well
For a while
If it annoys u
im sitting on the floor xd
its better for your back or something idk
whenever i track or do small flicks I feel like my bones aren't properly lubed in my wrist. are there any excersies i could do to prevent that feeling'
Hello I have a little question how do we know if we aim better with or without a headline?
interlock your fingers, and do a circular motion w your wrist
Im expiriencing numbnes and a tingle in my fingers on my mousehand , am i cooked?
nah you achived cold aim
cold hands
Mobility movements, hydration, proper diet
yeah
actually
see someone
make sure its not nerve dmg'
how do u guys deal with burn out ? or suddenly not having the motivation to do the exercises even thoug i want to
Do something else.
Funnily enough, DDK just released on a vid on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaRHwC2Nctw
Someone in the comments asked for this topic and I dove in. I have no idea how this is an hour long.

ah i will check it out
For me the best way to get out of burning out or early stages of it is simply to log off and go see friends/Family/gf outside of my home. Kinda refreshes your brain.
yeah thx man ill check the video and try to go do stuff
Hey fellas, just wanted to ask incase I could get more info - I’m probably going to schedule an appointment with 1HP soon to rule out RSI/get professional help, but does anyone else have clicking in their mouse wrist way more than their keyboard wrist? Usually I don’t get any pain and maybe a smidge of numbness from time to time. The clicking can be repeated by doing a wrist circle every like 30 seconds in the mouse wrist, doesn’t happen in the keyboard wrist
By the way, raising the chair so that the edge of the table is up to the level of the navel, or close to it, helps to simplify posture control; also, if you don’t bend over, muscle memory will be better adjusted. For me it does, for you it might help or fix the issue.
i have been getting a lot of pain in my neck/left shoulder area. i have tried a few chair heights along with monitor heights and viewing angles.
Hi do you guys know if a good matress is game changer for life in general ?
100%
how do i warm up my hands, cos i feel like i cant move them and aim when they r cold
Any tips on how to deal with gaming addiction? i dont enjoy gaming anymore and makes me feel like shit each day but aim training feels like going to the gym and feels good.
i usually just run my hands under some warm water then dry them off with a towel
same im going to see a doc the saturday after this one cus of that
Guys i think im getting into a slump. Any tips? I was aiming like crazy for like 2 weeks straight then suddenly my aim felt off one day and then it just kept feeling off for like 3 days now.
Take a break
if you're not doing something that's obvious like sleep deprivation or over training then it's most probably your mental
My wrist clicks now when rotating from tensing too much is this just swelling or something
Obviously I need to reduce my tension but just interested in what’s causing the actual clicking
can depression test in google or in online trusted
Clicking in the wrist is usually a sign of tendonitis! The numbness is a sign of nerve compression. We would need to setup a consult to determine where the nerve is being entrapped. '
just a reminder to everybody here we have free wrist pain guides you can use to help resolve your wrist pain with less than 1 minute a day of exercise! https://1-hp.org/gaming-wrist-pain/
Thanks a ton! I'm looking at setting up an appointment here with you guys soon
you honestly should be able to use this calculator to find the right routine for you, it factors in numbness as well. We haven't officially launched it yet so it's on sale for over 50% off till tuesday. Just select the area you feel the clicking instead of "pain" https://1-hp.org/ai-wrist-health-wizardlaunch/
Thank you so much 😭
How to ease the wrist pain caused by an over grinding? Ice, cold and hot water all didn't help
Hey Noobstyle, really good question. We actually just discussed this in the masterclass we hosted yesterday.
But overgrinding typically means that we are exposing our tissues (most often tendons) to too much stress that it can handle. In other words: Your muscles and tendons dont' have enough endurance to handle the amount of gameplay.
Performing exercises to address the underlying weakness is how you can gradually achieve long-term relief. Using Ice / Cold / Hot water all help to temporarily reduce pain as it changes some of the input of pain signaling but does not do anything to address the main problem: Weakness and too much playing
https://1-hp.org/gaming-wrist-pain/
Thi sis a good place to start or you can actually check out the new product we just launched yesterday in the masterclass (see the link above from @thorn matrix )
i feel like my shoulder on burning when i aimtrain for 3sceanrios on a row without taking break. any advice ?
Try raising ur chair or putting a pillow below u, then try again
To remove the chair height option
ty but didn't work
Do shoulder mobility for 2 minutes(search on youtube) then 1 rotator cuff exercise, then re- check
To see if ur shoulder is weak/ the area is tight
Keep ur neck straight
Back and shoulders not forward
Neutral
this is painful but i feel slightly better after retrying the scenario again
Painful in bad way (sharp joint pain) or good muscle pain of workingout
If u feel relief - that means u should continue generally speaking
The mobility and exercise
y i think it's muscle pain i don't moove to much from my chair anyway that would explain it
Ye okay, then the mobility and exercise is good for u, continue + take small break every 30 minutes to mobilize ur body
Easy improvement soon
👍
i hope, i have 500 hours and im still only master on voltaic 🥺
All good bro, this aint ur peak + master is respectable
Hey so I actually went over this pain pattern that's really common in FPS with Rambo Kim if you want to learn about it here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEUL0LIGIPE
This can be a routine you can potentially start with that is more of a shotgun approach to address the potential areas of weakness or limited mobility. Without actually seeing your setup I think it may not be helpful to try changes in your posture (with the modification of a pillow / raising your chair) since everyone's setup and individual anatomy is a bit different.
How you are sitting and the shoulder position are most likely the positional contributor to the issue however its likely the muscles stabilizing the shoulder that have poor endurance that are leading to the sensation of burning.
Depending on where you are feeling the burning and if there are associated symptoms it can be other potential pathologies however. If this is something you watn to address with a professional though feel free to reach out or book a consult with us.
There seems to be a common pain that PC gamers are feeling with the arm and shoulder that controls the mouse. do you guys answer general health questions or only gaming related?
U can ask, maybe we got the goods
i strained my abs last week and im getting mixed responses on how to approach recovery. some say to do light exercises to rehab it and some say to not exercise at all
Ive heard about active recovery and its benefits
But im not qualified to say if u can start doing it right away
I theorize u need at least a small rest period of few days but idrk
Good surplus diet and hydration and sleep can certainly help
i figured most ppl wouldnt know so i figured id put it here for one of the 1hp guys. usually i just lift through injuries but i need to stop doing that
Not sure if that's kind of active recovery but last time I had some wrist pain last for days I tried to not do anything with it for a while so it can recover but it didn't help much, instead I just went back to gaming since my performance wasn't actually as bad and it felt good as new in no time
Sounds good 👍
So kinda both
Yea like leaving my wrist alone not doing anything with it was as painful as doing some light movements so at some point I figured if it feels the same might as well do something
Not something to recommend of course
@ripe goblet how did u strain ur abs btw, if u dont mind me asking
Ye ab strain sounds a level higher
Did u contact a pro about it
i honestly have no clue. couldve been a shitty stretch, too high intensity ab workout, squat, sneezed too hard 😂. i just know the feeling and dont want to be stupid about it
It could also be the combination of all over time i guess, speedy recovery
ty
ty for the detailed answer 🙂 . do u have any advice to strengthen left side hand's fingers? i started playing osu these days and my aim is good the only problem is my stamina my fingers can't hold the pressure after taping on 6 map stars while havin 30 hours on game.the problem is the pressure on the fingers and i can't also tap too fast sometimes. i was told i just had to play the game but i don't like that answer. i believe u must have good advices for working on that issue.
hello
is there a good warmup guide for my hand that i can i use everytime i want to play?
FREE GAMING WRIST PAIN GUIDE: https://1-hp.org/gaming-wrist-pain/
Wrist pain is by far the MOST common complaint I get when I work with pros and gamers. And the first thing they often encounter online are resources telling them to rest, brace, just do stretches! Sorry, that’s not going to help in the LONG run. These are just methods for short...
Too op
@open ivy
appreciate it
anyone know a good fix to dry eyes other than eyedrops i use drops but my eyes still get dry n blurry
for me this works so i would try but it might not help you and could be a more specific issue, 1. make sure your hydrated 2. get up and walk around and look at things far away or look out your window in between games preferably focusing on an object 20 ft away 3. make sure the room your playing in is well lit or you have lighting in the first place.
- use yellow light software and slightly less brightness
Hi i have 5 on 10 pain in my forearm after i try something that is linked with aim . I have pains near the elbow , pain on top of the forearm(palm down) and pain (burning) on below the forearm palm down.

Check out our free cheat sheet it will give you a good place to start with understanding what to do
Most often associated with some weakness or poor endurance
How do they use the wheel in this position ?
how about we respond to moxie’s message as well
i hurt my wrist bench pressing and i feel pain in this area. anyone know exercises or stretches i can do to help it heal?
Hey yeah depends on the scope of the health question we can definitely help 🙂
Most often with bench press its some joint related irritation relating to stiffness or limited range of motion going into "extension"
This exercise (I have a video ssomewhere too I can't find) and some wrist mobility stretches into extension / flexion can help
https://1-hp.org/gaming-wrist-pain/
Check out our ulnar wrist pain cheat sheet here too, it has stretches + some overall wrist strength which can also provide some mobility benefits as well
appreciate you sm
of course! if you need any help with understanding the course of progress def reach out for a consult!
Any way to improve hearing naturally?
For next heavy benching u can maybe use lifting wrist wraps(not straps)
best thing you can do is fix your form
Wish I could help here but definitely not within my scope of expertise sorry!!
yep its multi-factorial @quartz timber but looking at form & mobility are going to be the things we look at to identify why the joint got irritated in the first place
my abs have been recovering but whats best active recovery or taking time off? strained my abs last week
been doing light stuff here and there
Hard to say without know which abdominal / core muscle was strained (there are quite a few layers)
But generally moving more like walking and light stretching helps initially
then as the pain is less you can gradually strengthen
but it depends on what irritated or strained it in the first place
or how bad the strain was
its my lower ab/obliques. ive just been stretching and doing bodyweight stuff and light accessory work. figured itd be good in 2-3 weeks
Could someone recommend me a good gaming chair under 200 ish dollars that has both torax and lumbar curvature and overall is good for posture but also comfortable
options for every price range
Alright, thanks tho
someone know some exercises for shoulder? i have pain on my deltoid since 1 week, rest and gels but still have pain
do you think i should take off training for a bit to let it heal? and just keep doing stretches and wrist exercises like the ones on the website?
I'd really prefer to setup a call to give you more specific guidance since the way we take off can vary and you can probably start lighter but it depends on your individual situation

ima keep it light for a while i’ll keep you posted on my progress 🙏🙏🙏
is there any unhealthy ways to wear a posture brace that i should avoid?
posture brace?
a posture corrector
for a 17 year old is a consistent bed time from about Midnight to 8am sufficient
it usually takes me about 30 minutes to fall asleep so it would end up being about 7h30m of sleep
aim for 8-9
You're still growing so
7.5 still within the range for normal
But ideally a little bit more
why
because my posture is bad and causes shoulder pain and i seen ron rambo kim used one while gaming
bro
just sit up
...
long term that would be the ideal situation but in the moment i feel like my posture is good till i actually see my posture
@open ivy I have been having this issue where pretty quickly after playing my wrist / arm gets super shaky. Any reason why? Video of what's happening is linked. I stretch multiple times a day and am starting to do endurance training once a day.
too much tension when playing id guess
Maybe I do it subconsciously but I actively try to have low tension and it happens either way
it takes practice. make sure you are thinking about reducing tension in not just your wrist but arm as well
Also how long after endurance training is it okay to start playing?
my wrist cracks when i rotate it am i cooked
is this something new? and does it hurt when rotating?
its been happening for a few days now but ive been trying to stop playing or doing anything with my hand for a while. It hurt a TON at first so that scared me and now its settling down
it started after i played 1w5ts for 3 hours and finally got a bp
Had the same problem, honestly what worked for me was grinding beginner smoothness scenarios and switching to high sens in games but doing slow movements and taking my time. It does get better
im trying to get into aim training but i'm only getting thru a couple quick tasks before my arthritis is getting the best of me. i dont have this issue playing hours of valorant but can't seem to be able to do aimlabs without the pain. anyone else have that issue? is there anything i can do about that or is aim training via intensive tasks like aimlabs just kinda not in the cards?
Its not worth it i would say making the firing range and tdms your best friend for aiming and not playing aimlabs
i hope this perspective shows it, is this angle bad for my shoulder/elbow? desk is as low as it goes and seat as high as it goes
the flare out/forward to compensate for desk height is what concerns me
can’t arm too long it forces shoulder into weird angle
or torso too short/desk too high, that does seem like it’d be more optimal though
actually it kinda works if i slide pad forward
Quick question, as a teen 16-18 how much sleep do I need? Also, how do I properly manage time for school and aim training if I'm doing VDIM and looking to allocate another hour to work out?
9 hours probably
Focus on quality of hours. Workout hard for an hour, when u do the VDIM, do it with thought so you can do less and get more out of it
Hard to sleep that much though, considering I need to wake up around 7.30 every morning
It's really not hard and that should be your #1 priority
everything you will do will be lower quality if you don't sleep enough
That is given, going as hard on myself as I can for max growth but time management is a bit hard for me. I procastinate a little bit too much for my liking sometimes
You need to let your brain rest so procrastinating isn't all bad. Just make sure u sleep enough or any kind of grind or growth is just wasted
and when u sleep enough, you're happier, you have more energy, you can actually get more done in less time
For sleep quality is the 1hour no blue light before sleep true for quality? Find it hard to do that with a packed schedule, around 15 minutes is what I'm trying to start with
Whatever works for you, honestly. I watch youtube vids to fall asleep so obviously the blue screen thing doesn't matter to me
just need to calm down before sleep
so don't watch high energy content or do stuff that requires hard focus, right before falling asleep
you can do like a pretty rough aim training routine or something like that hours before sleep and then moving from that to calming down
I saw somewhere that using devices up to an hour before sleeping helps sleep quality, as well as exercising max 2-3 hours before sleep
Yeah, it's rly hard for me to sleep like say 3 hours after I have a very hype match
I'm finnish so my routine usually is just to go to the sauna for like 15min LUL
I have a sauna but I'm not very sure if it'd help
I just use it for relaxing, since it's electric and electricity is basically free during the night when I would do it
but you just need to do whatever works for you to fall asleep as fast as you can
opening a window in your room so it's colder, having certain socks on, etc, it's mostly done just so your brain understands you are going to sleep
that's why you should never stay in your bed if you aren't sleeping
Comfortable af though
get ur comfort somewhere else
Does lying on a sofa or chair or something else suffice then?
One problem with devices in bed is that you can get used to using your devices in bed instead of sleeping
yeah why not
just usually don't lay down in ur bed if ur not sleeping
Unfortunately struggle with this a bit, but often at night its quite easy to ditch it instead of the day time if I'm just lazing around
yeah, most important for me was to enable sleep mode, where I have a certain time of day with notifications disabled. Then I can leave my phone close to my phone without opening it
Iphone has it, I'm not sure about Android, I'm sure you can set it up
One thing related to it I learned recently, is that your brain needs to feel that it has done something today when you go to sleep. So you need to do your homework, do that workout, maybe complete the VDIM for that day, or anything like that, just to feel you've done something.
Agree with this
I try to do all 3 if possible since I want to focus on all 3 aspects
So far so good I think? Climbed for barely plat to diamond in around 20ish hours but returning to working out so my strength has dropped a bit
Also another thing I remember someone asked this before but doing VDIM after exercise is better due to better blood flow right?
Is this normal and may it be a grip issue or a tremor maybe injury
I’m not feeling pain just shakiness when I go left
@open ivy
planning on getting a sleeve do i just get anything or are there recommended ones? not really worried about budget unless its something crazy
also prefer recommendations from someone with experience
Any sleeve works honestly, wouldn't worry too much about material like nylon/polyester and other things but can't go wrong w the skypad sleeve
Quick question for yall health frogs who always have the best answers. If aim training was a workout what would it be and how would you train it? Is it like cardio where you should train 5-6 times a week and try to increase your maximum and then work to increase your current level to that maximum? Is it like upper body training where you do several sets of small amount of reps because your upper body is used to working heavily for short periods of time? Or is it like lower body where you do several sets of large amounts of reps because your lower body is meant to endure strain for long periods of time?
High intensity interval training like crossfit or mobility exercises
I guess there are more ways to train aim than one, but if you're doing like a playlist with 1min exercises
Anyone knows anything about good posture. Im kind of struggling with little back pain i also tried to change it but it didn't feel comfortable and i was playing way worse.
Hey there! whenever I move my wrist it is kind of jittery? and it started doing this ever since Hollow's "Jitter aim" technique!
Try correcting your posture when you are sitting down don't be bent over, sit up straight and keep that in mind
Ok thanks
guys i have a question i was triying claw grip on my logitech g x pro superlight but my wrist hurts a lot, what should I do?
If you are forcing yourself into certain grip and it hurts play whats natural to you
Grip will not make you best player instantly
i need practice with it and the will sense confortable?
It should not hurt no reward in practicing it doesn't improve your gameplay many say claw is better and improves gameplay just bc claw is very natural grip for some
for me i feel confortable with palm grip or hybrid claw and palm
.
Probably the mouse is too big for you. It has a very awkward shape and it's very long.
What is your hand size?
Than you can play hybrid or palm no need to force yourself into something,
Its like mouse shape if you have small hands but someone is using DAV3 pro with 22 by 12 hands doesn't mean you have to
I'm a certified logitech gpro SL hater
Probably gets asked a lot, but does anyone have a pdf or some tips on how to get better focus? Not just in aiming but in general as well.
Concerta 54mg
Hello, after long gaming sessions (especially if they are training in aimlab for two hours or more), my fingers start to hurt. I can ignore it on the day of the game and everything will be fine, I have good performance and everything suits me, but the next day I just feel uncomfortable holding the mouse and it only goes away after a couple of days. In total, I have played more than five thousand hours in aimlab and shooters, and this problem has been haunting me for a year now. I thought it would go away with time, but the problem remained.
Can you recommend anything?
Your mouse is probably the wrong size. I'm sure there are plenty of stretches you can do.
probably take a break before u end up having hand issues
Just have a balanced diet and see the sun
In the northern hemisphere everyone is d vitamin deficient during winter, and you can only fix that by spending time in the sun
Anybody else get a mousepad rash on their palm when practicing for a while? if so what's the easiest was to circumvent this
after playing for a bit mainly with tracking scenarios i'll feel like the inside of my fingers get this "creaky"? sensation idk how to describe it its just not smooth i feel it just start creaking its weird
I hold my mouse with a claw grip, and I notice lately that my fingers start to feel tired / weak. Is there any exercises or things I can do to help with that?
@open ivy is there a yes/no answer to wrist hovering?
Nope there never a yes no answer and it’s always a matter of probability / risk based on your individual conditioning and lifestyle factors
It's a pretty common question in #advice and I never know what to say/where to link them, plenty of CS pros seem to do that, so is it "fine" or potentially unhealthy?
hey has anyone had issue with they're fingers hurting? i was at doctor said to strengthen wrist/hand and rest them been doing pretty much nothing with my hands for month now everytime i try to work out it starts hurting again, they scanned and all no damage was found or tunnel thingy its both hands also and pain changes from place to place finger to finger, has anyone had this fixxed?
why is there a random pain in my shoulder
u need strengthening
i had the same issues no clue what to do went to 1hp they knew what was up and gave me a routine to do x2 a day
highly recommend if u get stuck on what to do like me its like $30 a month for 3 month
sleeve
alternative make sure ure not allergic to ur pad
whats a good way to stretch my wrist?
i just a lot of static and its a bit testy if moved to the left horizontally
clockwise / anti clockwise rotations
join your fingers and then rotate
i'd recommend doing these before your sessions and dont forget to take short breaks in between
Ty!
i've heard "it tanks my mental" narrative, i dont actually know what it means by it tanks it
someone pwease explain
Doing something u think is negative again and again and again reduces ur mental “power” and u need a break from it
Or u get angry / sad / restless etc
i am pretty mad rn
Hey, my wrist has but hurting as i flick to the right, the pain is along the right side if my hand its a sharp pain at the pinkie
Anyone got any advice?
Sounds like it may be underdeveloped, wrist stretches and slowly training the mobility out that way
rice bucket exercise
Dont eat that before gaming i guess
how important is sleep/diet/exercise in terms of game performance?
Its important thats for sure, the percentage i cant tell u.
Repeated studies of professional athletes (basketball, Olympic swimming, hockey, etc) have shown major correlations between lifestyle choices (like regular, uninterrupted, lengthy sleep) and performance in competition. There is, comparatively, very little research done to that effect on eSports performance, but what research does exist seems to suggest similar results. I found a very nice review article (DOI: 10.1007/s40279-022-01684-1) which covers the broad strokes of current research on esports and health if youre interested in learning more about it!
i just found it thanks, ill read through it
Awesome! do you have access to a college email account? if not, you would have to do some searching to find it for free, I wasnt able to find the full thing on sci hub so i messed around with filetype:PDF on google. I can DM it to you if you like, but i dont know if posting a link like that here is against the rules
sure
how can i play with monitor close and avoid nearsightedness>
look away from monitor (preferably out of the window) as often as possible
get a transparent monitor
this part hurts after a while
and sometimes itll almost make a cracking sound after a while after i stretch
Can anybody give any advice about gym
Thanks man
how do i know if my sitting height is too low or too high
if you have brain fog how are you going to perform good?
live a healthy life in order to perform at your max
Whats a good multivitamin?
vegatables and going outside
two per day Life Extension
or you can get the one per day, which is the same as the two per day but just in one convient dose
ADHD medication
the inner game of tennis
how should i maintain eye health? my eyes are really dry and i cant really cut out a lot of computer time since i spend time daily doing my work and aim training on my computer
Yesterday i was aiming with very tense arm and flicked in an odd angle. Now some muscle in my arm hurts i think it got stretched. Do i take time off or can i do some training?
make good healthy food and ditch all snacks
would just recommend lowering monitor brightness and maybe use eye care software like Flux to reduce bluelight. both of these things will reduce eye strain
how to fix sleep schedule?
im in a cycle of waking up tired, going to school, coming back and napping, going to sleep late
without the nap i feel like i might fall asleep doing hw
don't nap
just go to sleep earlier
if u have to wake up at 6am, be in bed no later than 9pm
If I were you, I would take it easy for a 2 or 3 days, maybe more if it still hurts. Many coaches in sports like basketball and and football will tell you it's better to lose a few days of practice than to potentially agitate your issue into something larger
Sleepiness is sometimes hard to pin down, there's a lot of things that could be causing it. Start by going to sleep and waking up and the same time every day, even weekends. If you get 7-8 hours of sleep a night, every night and you still feel drowsy during the day, then you should start looking at other causes, like diet, sleep hygiene, etc and if you can talk to a doctor!
Depends a lot on your situation, what kinds of foods you have available locally, whether you have an independent income or you need to rely on family for food and shelter. As a general rule, planning out what your goal for improving your nutrition is, and then working backwards to the specific kinds of foods/meals you want to make is a good idea
Ik it's not for games, but I've skimmed through a book on sport psychology relating to soccer. It probably holds up for games too. I'll see if I can find it.
Not exactly it, but similar concept.
Uhhh so like my knees hurt when I go up stairs do lunges or try to squat anyone know anything I can do to help with it?
desconfort in shoulders is normal while playing aim trainers?
gym prob solve this problem
I've been doing yoga and it hurt less so far and I don't really like lifting weights tbh
my abductor pollicis brevis on my right hand hurts i cant do pushups how do i ease it in 1 day lol i also got a tryout
i've found celebrating achievements helppful
just be kind to yourself
speaking of tryouts, can someone help me with nerves?
i feel like nerves will get the better of me
usually burnouts happen when your effort/outcome ratio dwindles significantly
take a small break
maybe try to redefine what a "fruitful" day of training in whatever is (if its not already well-defined)
if im doing something where there is no ldb, no scores etc, its going to be harder to properly gauge improvement, and even with scores, you can interpret it in different ways
recently ive been playing a lot and after 10 minutes of deathmatch my side/rear delt part of shoulder starts to hurt and idk how to stop it
i got a question i played 10val games today but i still wanna train my aim in aimlabs? is it profitable to do it even tho i played sm today?
Aimlabs is always good, but don't cut from sleep for it. If you cut from sleep, you're cutting your progress.
what do you mean
Sleep well if you want to improve long term.
So if you'd play aimlabs instead of going to bed, you'd be working against yourself in progress, even if it seems you're working harder
What are the most common issues, and how do i prevent them from happening. Im currently looking alot for my posture and doing some basic mobility for the whole body, not just the wrist. Im also eating healthy, meditating for my mental and trying to get as good sleep as possible. What is there more to be carefully about to get the least problems in long term?
not having enough rest or sunlight. believe it or not, staying inside all day is not healthy for you in the long term.
What sort of stretches should I do before playing?
I've been experiencing a problem with my vision for about three weeks now. When I was researching, it seems to be something called computer vision syndrome. Im having a bit of trouble with reading because of it. The point is, after aim training for 10-15 mins, it gets worse significantly.
what should i do?
Probably take a break from computers electronics as a whole
( i realized i put this in advice maybe should try here instead ) - idk if this would be the right spot to try and ask about this - but I've been having alot of finger pain when using/gripping any mouse for the longest time. I have 19x0 cm hands and claw grip for the most part - i've tried most from smaller mice to larger ergo shapes and have always experienced a pain in my ring finger right on the nail and skin area where my finger makes contact with it - I used to have it worse i believe due to my grip being sharper inwards towards the mouse but now my finger is more flat against the shape. the only mouse to seemingly show improvement to the pain was x2v2 due to the flat sides i believe - just curious if anyones experienced this as well or any fixes/improvements I could try? Thank you!
Tension management, do more actual aim training and loosen up your grip
Anyone know if new balance are good for running and exercising?
I had, or still have those and they're solid
just a quick question if my daily routine changes a little bit (ie waking up a little later or doing daily stuff at different timings) okay or should i try to make every day the same as possible
You should wake up as early as you can to fall asleep as early as you can
And tbh, the earlier you can wake up, the more ”ahead” of everyone you will feel
been waking up around 6 every day but today i woke up around 7 because i came home a little late last night
how do you not tire out ur arm from doing static
Push-ups work well if it's shoulder, other than that it gets better
not shoulder like forearm
A tip to stop this from happening. Every 20 minutes stop and look at an object that is not your screen got 20 seconds. During these 20 seconds you want to blink more than usual. Do this every so often to keep your eyes from getting messed up. They also have blue light filter glasses specifically for PC use that may help you
mental health boys !
how much does sleep affect performance? I have 1 hour of sleep today (I slept at 3am, woke up at 4am and now it's 6pm)
I am got like
10 hours of sleep this week
A lot, and it affects everything in your life. It's worth to go to sleep earlier rather than grinding
I'll def do that thanks
(VALORANT)
How to keep a good mental/mood while trying to improve???
Haven't played a lot and now I'm washed and sometimes I just feel "old me could've done it" and looking at my mistakes and still not really learning
To add on to what @rose sand said, look up the 20/20/20 rule
your sens could be a bit too high
Context?
Oh I seem to have posted this on the wrong thread I'm sorry
I’m playing 0.28 800 dpi valorant
I injured my shoulder a few months ago doing heavy DB press & push-ups with incorrect form. Now my aim constantly shakes/jitters and I can't seem to fix it. I'm considering BPC-157, but does anyone have a shoulder PT routine for smoothness that they recommend?
I don't know about shoulder PT specifically but I know kneesovertoes guy on YouTube has a lot of good strength and Mobility exercise videos
u might wanna do it even more often, try and see what works for u
if ur eyes are already fricked u should def do it more often
not too sure if this should go in Advice, or Health, but I have problems with focusing / using my eyes to aim. I've just used ottr's eyetrainer website, and Ive noticed (I think ive known this for a long time), that its reeaally hard for me to focus rather than just look at something. It feels like while im tracking the ball with my eye, that i keep switching from focusing on the ball, to tracking it with peripheral vision, then switch back to focusing. This just repeats until the exercise is over. I also somehow get my eyes "tripped up" while trying to track the ball with my eye if you can make any sense of that. I also find sometimes when trying to focus on the ball and track it with my eyes, that my eyes begin to feel like droopy or tired. Much like when youre super bored with something and your eyes get heavy, except i really do not feel bored, I want to learn
Also, for the first part where i said i keep switching between focus and peripheral, a good example is a ceiling fan. with the fan, you can focus on a blade and it then moves very slowly and easy to track. but then you look in the center and you just see all the blades moving super fast at once. its like im switching between tracking a blade and seeing it in slow motion, to then all of a sudden seeing all blades and everythings just moving so fast. that on repeat
Guys so looking for advice here
I recently wen from
80-100 cm/360 to 20-40 cm
And after aim training been having some sore tendons and a lil fatigue in my wrist and forearm
Nothing hurts maybe just barly noticable is it normal with the switch like that? I never played 20-40 cm before so its new to me
Do you guys think i should just continue playing it and it will get better with some strength building?
And also for my posture should my table be at my chest height or stomach height?
definitely stomach height, with your elbows being at a 90 degree angle
Your chair and desk height have a massive influence over your aiming ability. I'll show you how to find your perfect setup while still maintaining healthy ergonomics.

Hanging is one of the easiest ways to affect your whole body's mobility, spine health, shoulder mechanics, and posture. Hanging increases grip strength which is a predictor of mortality! The benefits of a dead hang are immense but one arm hanging takes us even further! Here's how!

Yes, hanging is good for you because pulling motions often balance the muscles that don’t get used much in comparison to pushing.
👍🏼 im trying to get beck into fitness after my backproblems and i dont really wanna go into gym. So this might be a nice exercice
my lower back feels so stiff and it kinda hurts now, it feels like a full stomach, i tried the Healthline lower back stretch thing and all i did was just stretch my calves
lol
how do I fix it
there could be several reasons tbh, stretches MIGHT be the answer but that doesnt mean that they are. You should try core exercises, stomach vacuums, this might sound a bit absurd but pelvic floor exercises could maybe help aswell. If you do slouch try to not slouch, if you are able to then try some massage therapy. Just know that if something is the fix to it then you will need to do it for a few days if not weeks in order to see the results.
Just resting might also help
hi, im struggling alot to not mental boom while playing ranked, ive improved alot mechanically and im playing at my peak at the moment but im still getting tilted over little things and just throwing myself out of a focused state mid game over it. does anyone have any good videos or advice for stuff like this? i cant play more than 3 games a day without feeling mentally exhausted after.
is it bad that my wrist/hand feels tired and hurts a little after aimtraining?
yes, I hang everyday and it feeeeels amazing, vouch
theres a pretty singnificant pain between my middle finger knuckle and my ring finger knuckle in my aiming hand
i play games, type a lot, tennis, hockey, work as a dishwasher so
my hands get a lot of use
ive never strectched or anything\
is that worth doing
any suggestions?
If I have some pain problem with aiming is it beneficial to practice using larger muscles like shoulder and arm for wide movements and wrist for micro adjustments?
I recently practiced my macros with my arm more and got sharp shoulder pain while aiming now. Are there any recommended stretches or am i engaging my arm too much?
how do I deal with performance nerves ?
so im trying out for a team my friend does for fun, first tryout i did pretty well (util wise, not aim wise), and now I cant do both, Im still doing the same warmups, and routines, but I cant have an impact
play more
yea i mean u play more u get more comfortable
Is this just a practice thing when my shoulder hurts after transition from wrist aim to arm aim?
and what is the right type of aiming? is it the right way to use bigger muscles first to move them mouse and wrist for micro adjustments or how you do it?
noticing my pointer finger seems to always hurt when im playing, ive rested up and such but it always seems to come back, im thinking its because of my mouse, but i have a dav3 pro
I've had this issue before as well, often its just your mouse grip. Try changing it to a more natural one and you'll feel the difference
Is ashwagandha good im 16 i have kinda bad sleep and low motivation aswell i heard it could help
go see a doctor
having some traps pain recently when training, what's going on? is my chair too high or is my posture bad? can't figure it out
anyone got recipes that are moderately or high in protein that dont take a fairly long time to cook and taste good
steak and rice, chicken and rice, most types of meat and rice, rice and protein powder and finally my favourite a whole fucking cow
- tofu extra firm, slice thin then press the water out, coat in Asian sauces and corn starch then lightly fry. Server as a chicken substitute it’s good on anything
- vanilla Greek yogurt and low fat cottage cheese stay in the fridge rotation
- chicken breast, bake in the oven at 250°until they are 150° at the thickest part of the chicken; perfect texture
- dry beans are great protein, soak overnight, strain off starches, pressure cook for 10 min then drain. Season with cayenne onion / garlic powder and salt shit is bangin
- Banza chickpea pasta this shit is fucking amazing acquire immediately
- I recommend optimum nutrition for whey, their formulation mixes pretty well and tastes better than everyone else.
- eggs are cool, use a fork to whisk 3 eggs with a splash of milk, saute in olive oil and season to taste
- the moment you turn 20 years old you are no longer allowed to drink whole milk, buy skim only or get fat
- ground flax seed is a killer way to get omega 3 fatty acid in your diet without fish or pills, toss a scoop in with your protein shake it tastes good
If you like fish fish is great too
@toxic vine you’re a triathalon guy I miss anything? lol
My favorite fast protein is Broiled Salmon with Lemon Butter Glaze.
Melt 1tb butter and mix 1 squeezed lemon. While it sets a little pat dry 4-8 oz Salmon fillet. Salt and pepper both sides. Spray aluminum foil on oven pan. Place salmon. Drizzle butter. Broil for about 10 minutes. Until a bit browning and you can separate layers with fork. Yum . If you like crunchy outside then mix Panko into butter
Don’t forget to flip
Typical days food with all nutrients met
i slept late last night, should i avoid running comp matches? i feel like i might do bad
any obvious reason why my arm hurts while doing my daily warm up routine that i can't think of? in the past 2 weeks ish my forearm and upper arm have been hurting a lot after around 10 minutes of playing aimlabs without taking a break. i stretch before and while playing and haven't changed my posture or mouse grip
got tired of chicken and rice
need new chicken recipes too
anyone know why after a while of lat pulldowns or some other machines but im just noticing with lat pulldowns that my wrists especially my left really start hurting very fast out of nowhere
This is a sign of an overuse injury in the wrist that only manifests underload. Use this as an opportunity to rehabilitate yourself into better hand health before it becomes worse and far more debilitating.
For me, a big part of my problem was that I was never giving my wrists enough time to rest passively throughout the day. In particular, heavier, cell phones with cases and pop sockets are absolutely atrocious and will wear down your wrist overtime, even if the effects only become noticeable when you try to work out or aim.
As much as possible, try to avoid fully supporting your phone with your hands, and I also strongly encourage you to avoid doing things such as playing and Nintendo switch and handheld mode because it is not particularly ergonomic and also creates the same kind of sustained tension that doesn’t allow your wrist to get better overtime.
Instead of holding your phone, straight up, considering supporting it with a leg; supporting it with a table; it can even be a simple it’s just consciously thinking about relaxing the wrist and tendons while you were holding your phone. The main thing we want to avoid is postures where we are predominantly, relying on passively, holding up an object using our finger. Let stuff sit in your palms comfortably, and give your tendons a break throughout the day
Most of us are now terminally online in one former and other, even if you were using your phone for useful things such as work or school, it is very likely that it is not positively contributing to your hand health. Aside from that, try to avoid any kind of computer gaming. That is really hard on your wrists For at least a week or two
also get straps
ur wrist will never be able to keep up with ur back
also whwt does yr working set look like?
have u had any previous injury
Hey guys do you know if holding your mouse very tensely could give you a wrist injury?
u shouldnt be doing that anyways
wrist tension lowers accuracy
If that's all you do, yes. Long term it's gonna cause inflammation in the carpal tunnel
thoughts on nose strips? (the ones for breathing, not the ones for skincare)
i love that shit
u already tried mouthtaping for sleep ?
not yet
but I have a deviated septum and also had hypertrophic turbinates, for which I had a reduction last year, but I still can't breathe well through my nose
so I tried them yesterday and holy fuck even when working it's so huge
a lot less effort goes into breathing
which made me think maybe I need a septoplasty after all
i got a septoplasty recently and it was def worth it
notice any differences in focus/productivity?
how come since i started caring about health i got 10x worse at video games
compared to 2yrs ago when i only drank soda barely ate and didnt go outside
quite possible
Huel yay or nay
id say nay, except if you dont have time to cook
It's for lunch for work. Quicker, cheaper, healthier then takeout
yea, makes sense then
hi guys, I hope that this is the right channel to ask : im new to aim training and this kind of stuff, and found myself really enjoying playing various scenarios. nonetheless, i'm concerned because while playing on aimtrainers, i find myself holding my breath or not blinking during the exercises. thus i have dry eyes and start crying sometimes while playing because i forget to blink, while also not breathing sometimes.
I never had this issue on a game before, I think that it is because I am too focused on the exercise but i do not know how to fix this problem.
has anyone experienced this already and know how to solve it ? thanks 🫶
Use timers! Pomodoro technique, sets of timers, etc but monitor your session time and make sure to make pauses.
The best thing I've picked up for healthier and longer sessions has been to exercise more
thank you for the answer, I know that long sessions are not great, but I even have the issue with my eyes when I just start playing
i dont think that the issue comes from playing for too long but really how I play , I do not blink at all when i play, which never happened to me on any game.
it even happens when im on really short sessions and I dont understand how to blink when playing (sounds a bit strange but I cannot explain more sorry because even I do not know why)

try blinking when taking each shot. One finger activation, one blink.
It'll be terrible for your speed, scores, everything. But once it becomes natural, you wont think about it again. It'll be ok not to force it anymore and it'll happen again on its own. I've been there with the eyes issyes, not a good place.
And yes it's totally lionked w session time, eyes hurt a lot sooner than arms
thanks !
quick question uh I have severe finger tremors, lets assume it isn't neurological would smoothness focusing finger tip, or excerises help me improve this?
is it a known illness acknowledged by doctors ? From an injury perhaps ?
No
are you underweight ? do you have a good sleep schedule ? Any known vitamin or nutriment deficiencies ?
Bad sleep schedule, no known vitamin deficiency but likely.
those are numero uno then
no physical activity, scenario or else will compensate for a failing body
at some point i was 43kg for 180cm tall, severely underweight
started developing thumb tremors in both hands
then wrists gave up, couldnt even lift a fork anymore
had so many deficiencies
fix everything before getting into high level aim training, there's no way around it
This right here is my biggest tremor area. I can't micro adjust using my fingers at all with smooth tracking, it results in flick tracking the bot.

What's your sens ?
20cm when training, at times 10 cm.
the tremors aren't minor. so even on a sens like 40, they're extremely handicapping when it comes to microing
How much of your arm is resting on the desk?
my wrist gets tired and hurts after playing and aim training for long time
and my fingers get tired
you tense up your muscles too much stop clenching onto your mouse (i have the same issue) also higher sens, removes the movement needed
I wanna ask something about focusing at something. (I dont know if I should write this here) I cant focus at a thing more than max 20 minutes and this make feel bad and frustrated all the time in every 20 min I have urge to check instagram twitter or more and whenever I open these apps I scroll for hours and cant do the daily work or jobs I want to fix this because this is getting worse everyday and effecting my health and looks too (feel free to ping)
spend less time on screens in general
be more efficient with the time you spent on it when you're actually in front of a computer
do you exercise regularly ?
I will try thanks
Could someone direct me to decent resources regarding basic health/life routines for esports.
Exercise, diet, ect
ever heard of 1hp ?
Another short where Casey essentially shames us for being chronically dehydrated. :D

also this
no im not super active
i have a feeling @violet swan is right, i tend to constantly tense my wrist when playing
it hurts on the outer part of my wrist, does anyone have stretches or tips for breaking my habit??
that happens when you lock your wrist and maintain tension for too long
Been getting finger pain in my left hand pointer finger I use for my keyboard. The pain is in my joint in the middle of my finger Does anyone have advice? FNCS is coming up in 30 days and I don’t wanna have to take too long of a break and then not play my best
But I also don’t wanna make the issue worse by playing on it
:/
find youself some healthy sport routine, no need to bench press 18x a week to game lol but having a proper routine will help immensely
It’s pretty bad whenever I move it
when you contract and extend it you mean ?
could be inflammation
at worst tendinitis
how long have you been hurting for ?
5 days
Day 1 I just played on it
I took a 3 day break
Then played on it again today
And it’s like worse now a bit than day 1
Or about the same tbh
ok no it's not tendinitis
Do u think i just need to take a break again
you're ok buddy
keep yourself warm, sleep a lot
it'll go away in 3-4 days, not like full stop but it'll taper off pretty quick
How old are you ?
19
you're hella ok
Aight, yeah I just wanted to hear some advice not really had hand pain before
Like this
And I’ve heard like horror stories of pros getting injured or something lol
Like from playing on their injuries
Thanks
that doesnt happen at 19, and in 5 days
these dudes play 8-10h a day since they're like 7
That’s how much I play right now lol
8 hours daily rn
Or maybe 6-7
I just started going hard the last week and a half tho
then you know how you just hurt yourself lol
you dont go from 1-2h to 8-10 just like that
Look at Fnatic, the dudes all hit the gym and train like MotoGP athletes so they wont hurt themslves when they scrim for like 6h
if you just sit in your DxR gaming chair with MtnDew and you farm the game for 8h, you're gonna F your wrist up so fast
Its normal that my bicep shakes when im tracking?
how high do you sit compared to your desk height ?
my desk is higher than my chair
i cant do nothing for that
xd
okay thanks im assuming something that will involve some sort of arm/wrist movements?
yes you can, stack pillows, shirts, etc
even just push ups (i mostly recommend knuckle PU) would do yyou goof
good*
OK THX BRO
youa re the best
i haven't been working out recently but when i was actively working out i realized pushups sometimes made my wrist hurt too
but knuckle pushups for some reason were different
knuckle PU and focus on pushing from the edge, making an arc w your arms
super good for your whole upper body
how long should i be wearing somethign like this?
i cant aim properyly if im not straight
and i have hard time having stragiht back
never used one of those
you've had surgery or smth ?
so no doctor ever prescribed it ?
15
aight taking it off
you're at an age where this isnt fix yet
squats
do 1 squat per minute
suuuuuuper slow
and also horse stance
strenghten your feet, plant them into the ground
look up anterior pelvic tilt
when you're in your chair, sit as far back in as you can
anyone have some good wrist/arm warmups before playing valo?
TacFPS mouse control WP on aimlabs workshop

any placebo/unconventional/interesting things you do outside of game in order to help you game? for me it’s playing drums to (in theory) warm up wrists hands and forearm aswell as help focus
i f'd my wrists damn bad w drumming lol
did it again w guitar later
now doing it w gaming
i seem to get really focused when doing some humanbenchmark and then i'm set for going in ranked, so that might help you as well
Are there any pros with a high prescription and astigmatism ?
For instance my myopia is at -8 sph and astigmatism is at -2.5 Cyl on a 165 axis.
Idk if it's a hard wall or I'm making excuses
My peripheral vision is trash and I feel my visual recognition time is fairly high as well
anything is possible 🔥
So like the color change reaction time is fine
But when you put shapes into the equation
It like quadriples
All my friends who like have good reaction times do not wear glasses at all so I want to see if there are level pros with this high of a prescription
Maybe this is a hard wall
these two are trainable
tbh myopia too to some extent
How so ?
What do you mean ?

Glasses and contact lenses are prosthetics that cost us at a minimum $45K in our lifetime. With the exception of first responders, military and athletes, most of us choose to use prosthetics to correct our sight until those prosthetics fail us and we need cataract surgery. While surgery routinely corrects physical problems, and we clamor to ge...
here's everything you need
most often reaction time =/= time to damage
are there any supplements reccomended for wrist health
exercise, protein, rest
i do allat i just wanna maximise longevity
im getting old bro
im 23
be mindful of ergonomics, give proper rest if it feels weird, do regular exercises and stretches - it's really that simple
hydrating is a big one too
Getting muscle mass is probably the most important thing for longevity
Dont wanna be that guy but muscle mass is not something i lack
they get tired quicker and it takes longer to recover when you do run em down
I'm not saying muscle mass in general, but wrist muscles
I used to play hockey so my wrists are basically bigger than my biceps
not really a thing
they are all forearm muscles
you ever had forarm DOMS
I guess forearm muscles yes in general
you feel the fatigue way more with more muscle mass is what im saying
yeah last time I exercised my wrists(forearms) I used the same weights as for biceps and it was very painful to do aim training etc for multiple days
i swear it takes longer to recover
But after that I can say my endurance is much better and I do not have any pain no matter how much gaming I do
Just takes a while to recover properly
1HP has some great exercises that train your wrist strength and stretch
still tho when i exercise my forearms i need to wait like atleast 4 days before i can play anything or else i dont heal properly
i do them all
Yeah, I'm saying the long term benefit is worth it, but it can suck short term and not really much you can do about it
except for maybe using an ergomouse/gamepad during that time if you need to game
tbh just a mouse that fits your hand well will do the trick as well
most of my finger/wrist problems were caused by a mouse that was too big and went instantly away by changing mouse
i dont have the luxury of choice as a left handed gamer
i literally have foam tape on my mouse to make it more ergonomic
3d print your own mouse shell 👀
this would require skills in a 3d modeling program
I looked into this earlier, and something like pulsar make both handed mice
i have the pulsar v2a
is it good?
imo very good. i dont have much experience with mice tho, last mouse i had was the razer viper ultimate
big improvement over that
@hoary ledge if you are doing biceps and triceps in your workout program, add something for your forearm
I just read the wrist stretch guide but theres so many i know myself and ik i wont bother with them if theyre too difficult to remember so is there any 1 or 2 stretches i should focus on for my wrist
Just start doing them alongside the guide. HP1 has a couple of 5-10min videos you can just do the exercises alongside to the vid
Hi guys! I hope you're all well.
I have a gaming competition shortly and I have a few questions regarding the best meals/drinks to make/take and how to use them efficiently.
My competition is slightly different, it's the upcoming D2 Raid Race, so we need to be ready to be ultra focused for like 6-12hours (ETA could be lower could be higher) non-stop.
I will pay anyone with valuable and proven informations, crypto only.
Feel free to DM / Friend Request, thanks
Casey is back! What does your game-day nutrition look like? There are definitely some good guidelines and strategies we can employ, especially on those longer days when we have to perform for up to 12 hours. Casey shares with us how to get the most performance out of our nutrition when it matters most.

i did some bowling and rock climbing the other day and now the underside of my forearm is sore for some reason
anyone have stretches or solutions
Yeah rock climbing is tough on smaller muscles, finger strength etc
Take some proper rest ! Light stretches, not much reps but slow and meticulous movements to hit maximum range of motion
@open ivy sorry to ping u but in ur wrist guide you mention 'Reducing your eye fatigue with massages' what kind of massages do u recommed?
https://1-hp.org/blog/hpforgamers/tyl-top-3-things-to-do-during-a-gaming-break/
I actually wrote an article a LONNNNNNNNNNG time ago on this but maybe I should make a video hahah you can see som eof those massages here
thanks! always on point, appreciate all your work👍
Will I be less focused on aim training if I do it after studying or is it the other way around
Try and see what works better for you. (everyone is different)
You could get tiered after studying or the other way around.
Remember if you are aim training for a game, it is advised to play the game after training.
personally Im not very sure what way it goes, also yes I play after I finish training most days
i like to get studies out of the way
i'd be cautious w that last advice
usually going into game after a training session is the best way to lose ranks
you want to game after warmup, and aim train after the games
fatigue ig
to aply the aim you play the range or dm
if you are tiered you don't play ranked ofc
should I be doing any stretches or motility movements etc WHILE playing? i.e during 5-10 min breaks, while waiting in queues etc
Really want to avoid any and all wrist injuries as much as possible
yep, I loosen up and reset any chance I get
are there voltaic hand stretch guide?
yeah check the resources tab theres some good health guides
i did the hand rotations and like 20 things popped all at once lol
get up from your chair, its about the best thing you can do when not playing
hi was told to ask this here :3
Hey all, I recently have been developing some symptom that are prolly carpal tunnel, which tracks considering my job lol. I’ve heard before that people reccomend switching sens when that happens to smth less wrist intensive. I’m currently at 0.2 in game and 1600 dpi (for val). Any recommendations for changes? Sorry if this is a silly question lol
how many times a week do you exercise ? Also, have you looked into ergonomic chairs, right desk height, wrist rests etc ?
Daily. I work at a plant, and all my 8 hour work days are arm /wrist exercises as well as a lot of walking around
I have not looked into any of that, no
how do you go about rest time ?
during breaks, I mostly watch videos, or browse the internet. Nothint wrist intensive.
After work, games and family time. I don’t have a ton of relaxation time to begin with.
how much stretching do you do in the week ?
maybe doesn't apply to everyone but I actually am a lot more tense than I'd expect while casually browsing especially with lots of scroll wheel use, combined with not moving my hand/arm much while I'm doing it i never loosen up unless I consciously stop and stretch
of the hand/wrist or other stuff
sorry if that’s a silly question 😭
I feel like smth is definitely wierd about my arm positioning or something…
it’s hard to put into words lol
personally i got an easier time with long fps sessions than I do with browsing reddit and tower defense games 💀
LMAOO
in general, but if you can focus on arms its even better
I stretch a lot, but never really my arms or wrist I guess
I think I got pain on my left wrist. I know it could be down to RSI (keyboard spam in games) and the fact I held something incorrectly. I know resting it will ease the pain, but what else can you recommend? I have a wrist rest but I don't know if I need a different one or something.
whats you're height like ? chair compared to desk
My chair is a bit lower than my desk or so. I can't lower my desk further and I should get a new chair, I hope it doesn't fall apart quickly
stack pillows or shirts on your chair so you're level w the desk
this helps a lot
how can i avoid getting tilted badly?
this day, i have:
slammed my desk 5 times
slammed my mouse 3 times
raged liked alecks twice
did the thousand yard stare 4 times
screamed twice
no slurs yet
take a break
music, no comms whatsoever
mute everyone
play like its dm
also i know it sounds cliche but keep telling yourself it's okay and laugh things off, fake it til you make it does work to some degree
pretending to have a positive mindset gets you thinking positive thoughts
I think the fake it till you make it thing is pretty op in some cases. like if I'm too focused on the outcome of a game instead of my own improvement it honestly helps to just tell myself that all I care about is improving and using my mistakes as learning experiences
mute game , music , dont fixate yourself to the game , the game aint ur life so why u angry
most importantly have fun tho , dont take it seriously
what height should my chair be compared to my desk?
so I do the wrist warmup routine by 1hp should I be something more for stretches? maybe some arm stretches, or?
Recently, I've been experiencing wrist pain. I've followed the stretching routines from the 1HP channel, tried to play in a proper position, and especially avoided putting tension on my wrist while playing. Despite this, today, after only 10 minutes of warming up with aim trainers, I'm feeling various pains like burning, and my entire arm is tingling from the thumb to the pinky. (Of course, I did a light warm-up with as little tension as possible.) This has been happening for a week. I contacted my doctor, and his response was to maintain a proper position and get a mouse pad with a cushion. Those responses didn't satisfy me because I don't think they will help me overcome the problem. What can I do?
if it's your whole arm and including pinky I think you should take a hard look at your neck and shoulders posture
get a lot of rest because injuries like that take a long time to cool off, then work on some very gentle mobility and strengthening
it will be very hard to figure out exactly what works and what doesnt and to build up the routines you need to remain pain free, but whatever you do do not try to power through it because it will only get worse and worse until you cannot play
i would also add that personally i dont think the cushion mousepad helps at all and probably makes it worse if anything
start meditating
i tend to constantly tense my wrist and it hurts and gets tired after gaming sessions
any tips?
also my arm is not at an entire 90 degrees bc i have no way of lowering my desk or raising my chair any further and i have to raise my arm with my shoulder, making it very tense and sore
any help would be appreciated
in this instance I'd stack pillows or something on my chair until i can be comfortable or get a new chair that is high enough
your elbows at 90°
so the chair has to be high enough
You guys have any recommendation for a good chair ? the main thing i need is to be able to put the chair high enough for my desk which is 71cm
Should the bottom of my forearm firmly rest on armrest or lightly rest?
I just bought a new chair because my old armrests were too narrow and the outside edge kept digging into my forearm and they were too low and were under my desk which caused a weird upward angle on my wrist/forearm and edge of desk to cut into my forearm too. All that flared up my old tfcc tear injury and caused RSI pain on top ulnar side along forearm. With new chair (secret labs titan evo 2022) the arm rests are much wider and fit better. I now have my arm rests completely level(or tiny bit above) my desk as recommended and it already feels better but I'm not sure what height setting I should have them on. At the lowest if I depress my shoulders I am lightly touching/resting on the armrest and 1 up with my shoulders still depressed I'm firmly resting on the armrest so I'm just wondering which option is the ideal one?
Start with the chair away from the computer. Just sit as deep as you can in the chair. Let your shoulders loose. Arms fall naturally.
That's how you adjust the armrests, you put them under your forearms so they are supported and the arms aren't raised up in any way.
Then you get to the computer, and it shouldn't be any different. The desk should be level w the armrests
sorry if this is weird, but is there any way to properly aim train while having sweaty hands? I think I've done as much as I can to minimize it but it's really not effective at all, with my hand starting to sweat after less than a minute of wiping it dry. I also have a large patch of sweat on my mousepad as a result if i hold my mouse for more than 1-2 minutes. i feel like this hinders my ability to aim train properly and i was wondering if anyone has a solution
additionally, when aim training i have my air conditioner on at around 20-23 degrees celsius
A) get used to sweating
B) clean your mouse and your hands to increase comfort
C) just bring a towel close
Some ppl have got surgery for this and it can be annoying, but you should first just try to get used to it. It’s just sweat after all (unless your hands are dirty, then the sweat starts moving grease and all kinds of things)
it affects my grip on the thing & the glide on my mousepad though
the things you've suggested are things I'm already doing though
And so far they haven't worked
Change ur mousepad and mice to ones that are comfortable
You could try a gaming sleeve/glove to absorb the sweat?
I know of sleeves but don't gloves affect your mouse control
Well with one that is cut on the fingers it could work, i think is worth trying. It should feel good for you, if it affects your aiming then try smth else :(
I see, thanks. I have one of those but when I tried them a while back they didn't do much but maybe I'll try those again
Hi, is there a recommended amount of tasks between which i should be taking a short break? (like 1 min break every 5 minutes of tasks) cuz for now I've been basically resting when my arm starts to feel pain but i think this is not the correct idea
How quickly do you get pain? Focus on your tension
Just try to play with sweaty hands so you get used to it first
~15 minutes of constant tasks i'd say
but after it starts once during the session it starts coming faster
sigh
Focus on having as little tension as possible
Your options are either dealing with it (you say this doesn’t work) , getting used to it or going to a doctor
yea thats why I was asking if there's any other way to change that that I haven't tried
my small brain solution was simply not touching my mousepad in the first place
have you tried using any antiperspirant hand lotion?
i have never heard of anything like that, but wouldnt it still have the same effect? its either the hand sweats or the lotion's moistness affects the grip & the pad
you’d have to look into some good brands for it, but it shouldn’t leave any moisture on your hands. it’s made to basically dry out your hands and stop the sweating
hey guys, how do you reduce tension mid-game if you notice that your forearm/wrist is too tense? I've tried hitting my arm (my friend told me to) and it surprisingly kind of works, does anyone else know of some tips like this?
i just remind myself to loosen up
Hey I've recently switched over to claw grip and my aim has gotten significantly better but If I play with the grip for around 20 minutes my pinky starts hurting from the bending, any tips on how to possibly fix this or is this something that my finger will get used to? I don't wanna switch back to my old grip because I like how much control I have over the mouse with claw. I've also heard how comfortable the grip is also depends on the mouse so would buying a mouse meant for claw fix the issue?
In claw grip you can adjust your pinky position a lot. Also focus on having as little tension as possible.
Another variant you could try is the forward claw grip. Just bring your palm forward closer your finger.
It’s possible your mice is the wrong size for you, but can’t say from this
I remind my selft to loosen up, as Felty said, but then I also move my hand fingers in the opposite way that i was holding the mouse when I die, so like spreading fingers and straightening them as much as possible. I'll do a few open and closes too. Also if it's between rounds, aka you have a bit more time, I'll do some of the gliding exercises listed in the resources, mostly just trying to move my fingers/hand/wrist smoothly through their range of motion, so when I come back to an aiming hold it feels more relaxed and then I just try to keep it that way.
Hello 1hp team, every time i rotate my wrist it makes a crackling sound, but no pain, how do i fix this?
If possible lol
can u send a photo of u gripping ur mouse. perhaps the mouse is a bit too narrow or doesnt have a tall enough back hump
Idk if it’s too narrow or not but as for the hump it definitely isn’t tall enough compared to other mice that are designed for claw. Either way the pinky issue went away I think I just got used to it or I subconsciously positioned my pinky in a way that doesn’t hurt anymore not sure🤔
ah g203 a classic mouse. it does seem a bit narrow imo consider grip tape since it lets u grip more easily which should allow for a more relaxed hand
Yea found this mouse 3 years ago randomly and been using ever since def the best 30 dollar mouse ever made but I’m forced to upgrade either way since one of the I think they’re called skates is halfway ripped off so if you got any recommendations for some good mouses for <= 150$ lmk
usd right?
imo htx ace/4k for claw
or sora v2
sora v2 has very good sensor latency according to rtings although ure limited to 1k hz without the 8k dongle (which isnt sold yet)
@torpid jolt
lamzu atlantis 4k or its mini version is also a good pick
Damn thats alot of options how do you think I should decide?
also is that a website?
yepp
since theyre all similar i would just pick on local availability and specs
imo the sora v2 probably has the best specs out of the bunch so if its available within ur price range in ur country i would 100% go for it
https://www.rtings.com/mouse/tests/control/sensor-latency source
Bet thanks bro
Hey there i dont want to see a doctor if i can help it, i dont have good healthcare. so anyway i was very sick for 4 days, and after my right arm is numb in a way. i feel better but i cant get a grip on the mouse anymore. my aim is super slow and i cant seem to use my wrist at all anymore. I did some kovaaks today and im master but i was scoring the well below plat on the benchmarks. if any of the 1hp guys could give there opinion i would appreciate it.
yea i got a tip
go see a doctor
keep putting off numbess in your arm and you risk losing it completely
i agree with the above
trying to power through a nerve injury will only make it a million times worse
nerve damage can take years to heal, or never heal at all
see a doctor
my mom finally saw a doctor for her nerve issues in her wrists, and they told her she needs immediate surgery
tbh my own wrists are so fucked now from working 6 days straight I might go to the doctor as well
my arm feel sore just laying it on the desk feels like it's take energy, from my extremely surface level research this feels like some form of epicondylitis, how should I treat and prevent this?
My recommendation is to give it rest and if it doesnt get better go seek professional health advice from a doctor. Its probably a good idea to not self diagnose
Hey if you were laid up in bed for a few days it's likely all your muscles in your neck got super tight. Arm numbness is usually caused by thoracic outlet syndrome which is compression of the nerves at the neck. I can't diagnose you over discord so it could be other things than that but you should talk to a doc.
Tight tendons snap over each other, you should stretch and work on building the endurance of your forearm muscles
thanks for your input i appreciate it i will schedule an appointment.
Thank you so much, are there any routines/exercises you would reccomend?
tysm
when i aim i need to wear my glasses? i have 1.25 myopia
I can’t hit shit without glasses
What is your opinion on having your shoulders close to the height of the desk like sayaplayer? Is there potential for long term strain on the shoulders from this position?
Where would i go for a wrist surgery, wont stop shaking left to right and its not a skill or not enough time issue
i cant stop deathgripping my mouse and it starts hurting after like 4 scens
your doctor
she just said stop playing video games
lmao
then fire her
i want to implement some light jogging/walking into my day, just enough to get me sweating a bit. should this be done before or after gaming?
i like to do it before, get my circulation up
then you probably should
so my right hand with my mouse i have a scab i dont know if its from actually playing the game or from outside but it hurts always when i play anyone know what i can do about it
How many hours are you awake? Preferably jogging should be done as long as you can.
from around 7 to whenever i feel like sleeping
maybe 12am
Can you start and end your day with a jog?
Or even a walk to begin with
before, but do at least 30 min of it else it's mostly useless
yeah, i'll post after 7 days
I'm having trouble with sleep now im in exams
physically I dont feel stressed but my body is freaking out
when I get in bed it takes me an hour to fall asleep only for me to wake up after another hour for me to fall asleep again
I only get 2 or 3 hours of sleep inbetween waking up for an hour
not to mention at night I wake up and my mouth is numb
and it feels like I'm dehydrated even if I drink a ton of water
this only happens the night before exams
even with taking melatonin
and I just don't know what to do
end of the day jogging before sleep is wrong imo
i indirectly experienced it by playing basketball
I didnt wanna sleep after the basketball session in the night
jogging shouldn't be high intensity
yeah true
but its completely fine at the start of the day
Hi guys Dark around my eyes?
idk i dont think i wanna throw away thousands of dollars just cause some shakiness but id also rather get rid of it
theres no pain so i dont rlly see a reason to quit
why did she tell you to stip
so um, i just stopped deathgripping my mouse but whenever i try to play while making sure my tension control is good my palm hurts?
is your mouse the right sizew
i haven't considered it, i just bought a g305 and called it a day
Do the math if you're interested
guys do u have some good sources about correct ahnd position for aiming ? I found some yt vids but idk
generally u want ur forearm on ur desk parallel to it
everyones body is different but just follow best practice ergonomics guidelines til u find something comfortable
man i have the same problem, try to do extension exercices with your finger. i have a rubber band to help me and it has reduces my pain
Appreciate it. I'll give it a shot
seconding that, i use one of those a few times a week
Been getting wrist pain wondering if this from improper wrist placement, any issues with mine?
