Dont care about scores and try to reduce tension on ur wrist and fingers when microing
How do you deal with elbow pain
Its usually a symptom of a problem on the shoulder or wrist/fingers
Make sure to take mini breaks, stretch every once in a while, do mobility routine for ur upper body including fingers, and most importantly reduce volume of work on ur mouse hand
Then after some days slowly work up with volume
Strengthening ur body and tendons is a good option too(slowly over time)
It can come from bad posture while gaming for long periods too
Or even muscle imbalances
Another thing is if u are squeezing the mouse tight to reduce the tension on it, and use it sparingly only when needed
cool paper! gave it a quick read and its interesting. im wondering how high of a cognitive load challenging aim training would be in their eyes
" They demonstrated that the same motor units can be activated by mental stresses that are activated by physical stress."
Likely an early tendiopathy! You should be working on the endurance of the muscles in the area!
Have to strengthen the muscles of the forearm if it's below the elbow, have to strengthen the biceps/triceps if it's above the elbow!
We know a lot of you have been asking how to fix wrist
pain from gaming so we decided to make this guide
available to everybody.
The guide dives into:
- Why do we get wrist pain from gaming
- How our tissues heal
- Most common pain patterns from gaming
- How to rehab or prevent wrist pain specific to regions
- Schedule management and posture guide

Whats with a strange ache i have in my bicep/tricep area of my arm that takes a oddly long time to go away? It doesn't feel like I lifted to failure or like being punched in the arm. I never experienced it in gaming sessions no matter how much time (sometimes up to 14 hours) or effort I'm putting in while gaming, but within like 20-40 minutes on Aim Labs, it just shows up and crashes the party? -Edit: could it just be the constant aiming opposed to the 60-90% of walking around waiting in games and im just not used to it
Tendon pain
I would suggest giving it full rest(no pc with that hand) for a few days, then strengthening
strengthening?
Yes, for tendons very slow tempo for high reps is recommended
Target bicep and tricep area
Also
The root cause can come from bad posture while gaming for long periods
So work on that too
And work up the volume of pc usage slowly not immediately after rest same hours
Culprits can be neck shoulders and upper back
i adjusted posture when i started my aim journey, ill strengthen but the pain only lingers for a few hours so is a few day of 0 usage necessary?
I would do it for it to not become chronic(sadly mine is..)
damn... that sucks, thanks for the advice
Or at least seems to be, cuz its for a long time now
I would prefer u use ur left hand but thats just me, i wont say its 100% necessary. If u can go a full day without the right hand its a win in my books
alright.... I can do that, thanks again
Im just at a point of full cautiousness at this point

how can you avoid injury from long sessions of aim training
if you want to talk to one of our Physical Therapists about how to manage it fill out the free consult form here! https://1-hp.org/game-without-pain/
Your tendons! https://1-hp.org/wrist-flexor-protocol-finger-bias/
Gotta strengthen your tendons!
appreciate it boss man
0 usage isn't necessary you just need to modify the load to be tolerable while you build endurance.
Um are the prices on the website cad
does anyone have ANY desks that are 25-26 inches tall and NOT COST MORE THAN MY FREAKING 1440p MONITOR?
i did not realize that the online market outside of ikea does not feature a singular desk that isn’t 29 inches minimum, and standing desks that go below that are in the 400-1200 dollar range
browsing reddit for individuals in similar situation only met with recommendations from sellers that are in that 400+ dollar range which is wild
Should be usd

Hey there guys I have this problem I really want to get fixed, I want to buy a 1HP coaching thingy but I don;'t have the money right now because I am not working at my jobs yet! but I want to go all detail into this and try my best to explain this if anybody can help me with arm related stuff please say you can and I will try my best to tell you all about it! :)
I can point you in the right direction most likely
we have alot of free content as well on how to fix things
Hello, are there any psychotherapy specialists in 1HP?
Nothing urgent, just curious
@spark jewel
Ok so let me try to explain When I have the bottom wrist part flat my arm levitates, I've tried to raise my desk and it just kinda makes it worst by shrugging my shoulders but if I put my forearm/elbow flat my Wrist then levitates as seen in the second image I want my arm to be flat and alligned with my wrist
is there any exercises I can do to fix this? I used to be able to have it flat but I had back Surgery which I think may has changed it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVIXRQGpKUg If you see in this video his whole hand is flat that is what I am looking for! @:D
Or this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2m-9FYQj0L4
Testing a new mouse :)
G-Wolves Hati S Ace Wireless / Artisan Hien Soft XL
Apex Legends dpi 800 / sens 1.1 / FOV 90
Hipfire 47.2cm
Do I need physical therapy?
anyone have a guide for best monitor position in terms of distance and tilt? i want to put my monitor forward because my head seems to lean forward to compensate for my monitor being far but im scared my eyes will be damaged in the long term
@tranquil cradle Do you recommend I should get Phsyical Therapy?
Can you take a side view of yourself like the angle of the Kovaak video? Without the arm sleeve?
Bit hard to tell at the moment what is happening
Ya! I can do tha!
@tranquil cradle Is this good enough?
When I try to put the bottom of my wrist down then my arm levitates
But then if I put my elbow down
The wrist levitates
@final hedge I wanted to see if the shoulder is moving while you try that as well.
The kovaaks video has your upper arm close by your side, while the first video it is more outward (shoulder abduction) like your newest video.
Also. is there a particular reason you want your wrist to be completely flat? It isn't strictly a bad thing.
Hey I do really have a problem with a lack of energy, I do a lot of sports I don't really eat "unhealthy" and how long I sleep doesn't really change anything as well I always have really low energy throughout the day, so I thought maybe supplements could help ? Maybe because I'm lacking some vitamins or stuff ? ty for any advice
anybody have a good stretch for the pronator muscle? it gets really tense and sore when i play aimtrainers but i know that a stretch would make it feel sooo good, cant find a decent one tho
vitamin d, if youre looking for the supplement way, also make sure you have sleep quality, not just volume, maybe you actually have a sleep condition unknownst? for me for example im pretty sure i have sleep apnea, watch out on whether you wake up with a dry mouth or something, its kinda weird that sleeping more doesnt help, but if it doesnt then the vitamin d should do it
(only if youre vit d deficient) but its quite hard nowadays for the average person to not be deficient apparently so im just gonna assume you are, get it checked first tho before you do anything
Isn't it like that 70% of people have sleep apnea so I probably have it as well. But idk what to do about
Well yeah maybe I get some vit d
70% sounds kinda wrong, but there are countless treatments for it, its just an example, you might have something different/ maybe bad sleep hygene
i take 2000IU per day, you should consult a doctor before hand
I will thank you !
or you may js not notice the subtle difference of better sleep who knows
Hm okay you have some videos about that you could recommend?
not any videos tbh, self diagnose on aynthing like taht is finecky id really js suggest actually lookin up a doctor IF you did notice any signs of it
Yeah doctor stuff is really tuff here it would take me months to get a real diagnosis from a professional
ah sht
I will look for a solution tho
Maybe just try some stuff out and I will find something that helps
its just a hunch, there might be nothing wrong with your sleep after all, if you notice dry tongue or mouth in the morning tho it might be
why do my hands feel so cold whenever i play?
they feel really really cold
and i cant fix it
and it impacts my ability to aim and use my keyboard proficiently
js heat up your room tbh right? is ur room cold?
the thing is it's not
i have the heating on and it has been for the past 3 hours
the room feels hot but my hands feel weirdly freezing
has this always been or is this new
i've had it before but usually never as bad as it is rn
do you know why its gotten worse perhaps?
because that does sound slightly owryin
worrying*
no idea whatsoever
just noticed it after spending about 45 mins at my desk
i played a game and halfway through i noticed i couldnt do what i wanted to because of this
intersting, well anyhow, i reccomend checking it out, the solution to it that ive found is js doin some sports before my game xD
its easy for me sinmce i have a vr headset
might be ahrder for you tho
hmm
i can reccomend osu and tetris and speedcubing
all of which are my hobbies taht get the blood flow reaaaaaaaaaaally goin into my hands
i can do speedcubing
js do taht a while if it works
i'm gonna come away from my desk for like 10 minutes and see if i can fix it
alright
I feel like I lose stability in aiming and it hurts my arm because my body naturally lifts my arm if that makes sense
any particular micro nutrients i should be trying to increase my diet to imporve mental performance? obviously it's a gaming discord but if there's stuff that'll help me in classes too im super down
Tbh, all of em, as long as you got all of em in the reccomended amount you should be at peak performance
yea no i was gonna say smthing but no it genuinely is peak when u have all of em in reccomended daily
I quit trying to go pro Valorant and consequently the game due to injury. Came back a day ago, I know now what my issue is. Cubital tunnel syndrome and my thumb has always been messed up (went to the hospital twice because of it, got hit) what would be some good exercises to warmup/make it less painful and uncomfortable?
Hey guys I’ve been having an issue with my wrist and I’d like some help. Every time I push down on something, like to get up from a chair or bed, my right wrist starts to hurt after a certain breakpoint
I’d like some help cause when it does happen it makes my wrist slightly noticeably weak
This happens in the front of my wrist btw
Alright, this is starting to be a bit complex to manage just over this chat, so it is worth a proper consult/assessment by a professional (e.g physical therapist)
Yeah I don't have a doctor, well I kind of do but he lives in LA and he's my Surgeon I asked him about it before and he said it normal or I had a extra thing in my hand I forgot what he said
Do you think it can be fixed though?
Or if it doesn't how should I play?
Hard to tell you exactly without more details. High chance it can be fixed or managed as it doesn't look like a bone deformity
I hope I can be able to fix it maybe I can ask my mom for a Phsyical Therapist to go to I did show her that my wrist/arm can do that thing
Hit up the 1HP website, my colleagues might have a quick consult option for you to find out more
Where should I go to look for Physical therapy on here?
You're best options are to google for a local one in your town, or check out https://1-hp.org/game-without-pain/
Thank you!
I might look one up soon
I hope I can fix it or atleast make it get better!
Because I think it is messing me up
🙏🙏
Should I be using the neck pad that comes with my gaming chair? When I use it I feel like my head is no longer in line with my back
I also have 2/3 of my forearm on my desk is that acceptable or should I be attempting to move things around to get all of it?
Try different height settings and see which one is the most comfortable when aiming( no annoying fiction). About the neck if ur chair makes it so it goes forward i recommend NOT using it
Like if ur chair’s top is curved inwards
Thats also bad
Even without the pad
And u say with the pad also then its not good for u, do u have options for low and mid back? U dont need more imo
I am using my lumbar pad as of rtight now. I have a GTRACING Gaming Chair from around 4 years ago
Ok thats good then
This is a good place to start but cubital cunnel can be kind of complex so we would want to do a proper evaluation to figure out where the entrapment point actually is. https://1-hp.org/wrist-flexor-protocol/
This week
@open ivy and
@thorn matrix are discussing 3 secrets for posture and ergonomics in gaming in the
#events Discord! Click interested under events to get notified when we go live! 3PM PST
would anyone happen to know why?
is there a vod for this? i missed it unfortunately
??
why link stuff like this
ye but who wants to see this kinda stuff, at least a warning first
does anyone know how to prevent gambling on games
I already know its bad and should stop but what measures should i implement so i do stop
put a parental control on ur account maybe
if u cant control urself then ask someone to help u like a friend or parent
or disable ur card
Should i be leaning back in my chair if it gives me lumbar support or should i be sitting straight up?
Is ur chair’s bottom too big for ur legs? U should be able to use the lumbar support as well as sitting straight no?
I end up leaning forward currently
or when i sit straight up im a bit too far forward from it
Hmm slight forward lean is fine, u can maybe get the chair a bit closer to the desk
Or are the wheels not allowing that
My belly is already touching the desk lol
I can check one sec

I cannot
Dammit lol
Should the top of my back be touching the chair?
I'll figure smth out there my position isn't horrible.
👍
Ty for the help
any advice for the correct height of chair & table for gaming?
anything that feels comfortable and u dont have friction when u move ur arm across the pad, thats stopping u from executing mouse movements smoothly (without feeling stuck or bumpy)
When I aim train I feel like the trap/rear delt area and even that side of my lower neck tenses up. Is there something I can do posture wise ? Like maybe my elbows are too forward or my chair height is too low or too high for my desk height ?
How do we get used to a new sitting position? I changed my seating position to be more healthy but i cant aim sitting like this
Make sure ur elbow isnt too high or too low, i feel like its most important for good aiming
Might be rotator cuff weakness so u try to compensate with traps? Idk. Make sure ur sitting position is good: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EqeDWH4kcME&pp=ygUPI3dlYWtuZXNzZmluZGVy
In this video, I'm going to go in depth on the physical mechanics of aiming, so that you can learn how to sit more properly reduce pains from gaming in your back, neck shoulder, elbow and wrist pain from gaming. This will help you reduce gaming pain, and become a better player. This will help you sit in a way that increases your skill ceiling. Y...
Warming up the upper body and shoulders specifically can help, mobility work and strength training(can be bodyweight) can help even more, specific exercise for the rotator cuff as well
Specifically for that rear / side delt pain/discomfort
Yeah I actually watched that. I think the main issue was my arm being too forward. Having my elbow more tucked to the side helps but I think the aim training makes me tense in general. I might just need some time to adapt since I just started
oh i didnt realize u just started, thats perfectly normal then. ease into it! improvement is on the way 🙂
relaxing the grip and using tension only when needed, for example to flick or react, then de-tensing the hand again - is important for ur health as well as ur skill
Yeah rn it's really tough physically, like I almost cramp after a couple of minutes
focus on tensing ur hand less - less focus on scores, more about technique and ur health. technique and skill as well as scores improve over time
at this point just playing more will improve u, not much effort needed
in the next few days u can watch technique vids to start improving ur technique
yeah I'm trying to do that. Also ordered a new mousepad cuz mine feels extra sticky and inconsistent which doesn't help with relaxing
Any aiming technique vids you can recommend ?
Mattyow static mistakes, lorys how to flick, riddbtw crash course playlist
- voltaic channel some good guides there too
Also on #resources we have guides and task explanations on fundamental routine
I'll check it out. Thanks!
Hello I have been trying to fix my tight traps for 6 months now and I feel like around the 1st month, I have felt the same, I can't seem to get the tightness out. It is around this part of my traps. Currently I do a chest stretch, trap stretch, spine stretch. I even do a neck strengthening and upper trap strengthening 4 sets a week in total, I was working with a physiotherapist previously but now I don't have any money, does anyone have any ideas what I could be missing
I can press that same spot like a button
What do you do with bicep pain
Why does my wrist crack all the time. It's not hurting or anything. When I warm it up, it is a little bit better, but still annoying. Has anyone tipps on what I could do?
Has anyone got any advice for inconsistency due to your setup. Extreme inconsistency. Legit going from dropping 30 a game to games like 8 19 all day. One day ill get on and my setup feels perfect and the next it just feels so off and i cant aim to the point im moving my keyboard, monitor, chair height etc every other hour. Its been such a huge issue for me to the point im just considering quitting fps gaming as a whole. Legit willing to pay to have this issue fixed if there is someone out there who can help
not sure if i put this in #health or not, but is there anything that can help you keep focused and awake and not have heavy eyelids when jamming games? i guess something like G Fuel maybe except an alternative? i dont drink energy drinks or coffee cause usually they do absolutely nothing for me except make me feel anxious an hour or two later
probably simple things like sleeping enough and drinking water
If u play all day use half an hour breaks from time to time
If u play less even 5 minute breaks are powerful
i drink a lot of water every day and i always get atleast 8 hours of sleep. i jus can NOT focus when playing games. i just want something that’ll focus me up. something similar to g fuel because i heard that’s what it does
well the thing is, it’s hard for me to focus even within the first hour
color blind modes lowkey
idk
Are u even doing something that interests and engages u? Cuz u said jamming games like what does that mean, spamming ranked?
How’s ur diet? Enough protein carbs and fats? Minerals and vitamins?
Diet is heavily related to brain performance (and body in general)
I believe exercising helps too
uhmmmm honestly.. not really. like there’s no games out currently that i wanna grind n try be my absolute best version of myself in that game but i still want to play a game casuallly, but good if that makes sense. sweat without the sweatiness. my diets never been to great tho to be fair. there’s never any food in my household so i so end up getting food out quite abit so i’m not too sure how my carbs etc have been looking. i’m not in bad shape tho i’ve got a pretty decent body but i’m guessing that doesn’t tie into the problem of me losing focus
look up blood glucose effects on focus
to check if its ur diet
hii, maybe someone can give me some advice. my arm has been super weak these past 2 days, I wouldn’t say I’m necessarily in pain or anything but even just after 20 minutes of aimlabs it starts to ache(mainly my shoulder and wrist). does anyone know any possible fixes? I always make sure to stretch a little before aim training so idk what it could be :/
Maybe your mind is busy with something else in your life. If there is any, I would try to focus of solving them and making your mind peaceful again
Is it the back and to the side of the shoulder?
yea
Thats the rotator cuff, check your posture, reduce time in the pc, stretch your internal rotators, strengthen your rotator cuff
Recently my middle finger on my right hand is really stiff and aches a little in the joint. I do use it on my scroll wheel so it could be carpel tunnel but I may be wrong. What can I do about it?
is it a bad thing to use fingerless gloves to keep cold away
Better than nothing, and if u mean while playing, it will help control the mouse( depends on the glove)
Guys, could a curved mouse be contributing to my wrist pain? I use a Zowie EC2-B and I’ve wondered if maybe swapping to a more standard shape/height mouse would help
try drinking ginger for blood circulation i struggle with cold and it helps with heat for me
u can also eat a balanced diet, increase food intake, blow hot air from your mouth to your fingers (i've seen some pros do it, they also have small packets of heat substance they use)
rubbing them against each other, shaking them etc
i'd say thats what im experiencing, potentially a mixture of the two
i just had no other solution than some gloves
Can you send over a video of your setup?
Do you train with sore arms?
I'm curious because I didn't see it in the health section, but do any of you take magnesium supplements? I read this online, "Another study indicated that rats fed 604mg magnesium for a month have increased activity in the prefrontal cortex and the hippocampus (associating with learning and memory)"
Background Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder, characterized by varying severity in attention deficit and hyperactivity. Studies have shown deficiencies in the serum level of magnesium and vitamin D in people with ADHD. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of vitamin D and magnesium sup...
Ty thats very interesting, as i suffer from adhd throughout my whole life(not medicated yet)
I read u said frontal cortex and remembered adhd interferes with it
So googled magnesium adhd
Yeah, after doing a bit of research I started adding it to my routine for a healthier lifestyle, was just wondering if I was the only one
Will arm/muscle pain/soreness go away as long as I practice good habits?
Okay, I’ll def go to the doctor about this, but I’m desperate and wonder if anyone has any idea what this could possibly be. I have played games all my life, never had pain. I switched to to lamzu mini two days ago. My upper forearm is in extreme pain, it hurts so bad I can’t even sleep. I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life. The pain level is like a constant 8 out of 10 coming in waves of intense pain
I should add, this in my first time in my life using a non ergo mouse and I severely regret it lol
where exactly?
when do u notice it most?
is it even without using the pc?
I have sometimes over here, been trying to change height posture etc if you know what I can try would really like to know
maybe a bit higher than in the picture
just on ur mouse arm right
yes
okay. some things u can try that might help:
every half an hour or so get up from the chair and do a little bit of dynamic stretching and mobilization of ur whole upper body especially upper back, neck and shoulders
strengthen whole upper body with standard exercises (doesnt have to be anything crazy, slight improvements in strength can help wonders)
especially work on: rotator cuff, serratus anterior, make sure to do controlled movements
reduce volume of pc usage, and work up to it slowly over time
(increasing time on pc over time)
Yeah I usually aim train for like 1-3h and it mostly happens when I do that rarely on actual games, should probably stretch in between
yep, aimtraining is intense training without really stopping, in games u have downtime a lot more
Looks like rhomboid minor/major, usually due to bad posture
Wall angels, chin tuckes & towel streches are your best bet
Yes googled it and thats definitely the muscle that gets sore, I did try lowering my table and for some reason it ether goes in front if I go too low and back to back, feels like I couldnt find a "perfect sweet spot"
I think I have pretty good height now, but I still might have some bad postures even with about 90% angle with arm
I don't know if it matters at all, but I do use secret lab chair with keyboard hand using the resting handle and mouse arm not and I slightly rotate the chair so I can have my mouse arm on table and while I do that I can't have keyboard arm on table so I use the hand rest ( don't know if this is bad ) Thinking about getting curved table instead at some point to help with this
Secret Labs and other gaming chairs are shaped like the seat of a car, but you don’t sit at a desk the same way you sit at a car nor you use a chair the same way you use the seat of a car. Those kinds of chairs also lack proper lumbar support and are prone to cause tailbone pain to some people.
Get yourself a good office chair and start with some streches and wall angels
Is pain a normal process of training? I play fpses for 14 years and only recently for the first time had pain in my wrist/knuckles(would rate 2 out of 10 and it's more of a nagging pain) after intensive reactive scenarios
without deathgripping the mouse(at least I believe I would notice that i do that)
I play fingertip if that matters and use hand gripper from time to time
without lifting my wrist off the mousepad usually
Aimtraining is intense. Take it easy and work up to it overtime/ give the ligaments a small break now and small breaks here and there
Also stretch and strengthening routine on 1hp site and in pins
thoughts on the topic, gaming is genetics, if your not alrdy a pro quit?
utter bullcrap, (almost) any skill at a top level is knowledge
yh
utter bullcrap is prolly the least heard 2 words out if the past 10 last yrs of my life
damn lmao
😭
💩
I think it’s very true. Gaming is genetics and practice
You can still be great without being genetically gifted
But not everyone can be a pro
some people might perform better naturally than others or learn faster, but it's also possible to achieve that level of learning and performance through knowledge of achieving a certain state
they have an effect, im js not sold on that its a heavy effect, and i certainly dont believe it could stop someone no matter what your gentic capabilities are on going pro in almost any game if you truly put your soul into it
fortnite tho.. shii idk
☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
hardest to go pro fss
I consider myself to have achieved a decently high level in music, and I can tell you absolutely that it's knowledge at a high level, not genetics
people who are only genetically gifted won't be able to replicate a good performance always when needed, whereas people with knowledge, talented or not, will
oh ur a fn kid?
That’s fair, I don’t believe that though, and most comp games kinda disagree wiht this as well. Just look at chess
ur asking questions for pro fn so ur automatically a kid lol
im not tryna roast though lol
fn kid, irl kid maybe not
dont take it too serious
alr 💀
Genetics in gaming, to put simply, kinda set parameters at which your max potential can be. At least that’s what most psychology says about things like this. Not everyone can be the next bard0z no matter the hours they put in.
thats true thats true but the discussion and question is apon gaming, so the differences in how much they effect you in being able to achieve the end goal is unknown cuz no one else here has done music let alone gotten far with it
i think it's possible to go semi-pro without a coach or whatever, there's very much lots of free info out there, but to get to tier 1 I believe it is knowledge
I've seen Mero say on twitter (around mid chapter 3) that he could coach any random grands team to a top 3, and honestly I believe he could do it
The same principles apply to guaranteeing you play well
Mechanically, maybe... but I think anything at a high level is mainly knowledge based
yes, they do set a skill ceiling. but tbh your not going to reach that skill ceiling unless your 28, maining either quake halo or cs, and have over 7k hrs on kovaaks
So than you think everyone has the ability to be a super gm in chess?
There is research in this and there is a direct correlation between iq and chess rating
Yes, I do. Unless it's some ridiculous thing of having only 3 seconds per move or something, idk im not familiar with chess rules in high level matches
There are certainly many other factors humans are not aware of
idk ab what mero said 😭 i highly doubt he could especially bc hes been carried by bugha for most fncs and js got hard carried by cooper for invitational, but yea ofc you can go semi pro without a coach you can go t1 without a coach, you just for sure wouldnt top leaderboards, since some t1 pros whove even been in the game since chapter 1 have a coach (bloodx)
I think there is more we can learn about this stuff. But I think it’s wild to think that any average Joe can be the next magnus Carlson.
you can t1 without coach, but you womt be winning or even topping everything
The dude has something like a 170iq
he's definitely not getting carried lmao what r u saying
It would require the best of dedication and greatest teachers, but I believe it to be possible
Every super gm, from my knowledge, that has been tested has an exceptionally above average iq
i like ur pfp lol
its so good😭
Thanks haha
…. 💀
yh yh
you know that when bugha dropped him he couldnt place for shit so decided to quit briefly
yk that right?????
he came back bc cooper and sm1 wanted to play with him so bro flipped a coin to give it one last try
ok I'm quitting this argument lmao this got stupid
The thing is, comp games, depending on the game are very fast paced. A genetically gifted person can process this information faster than the average person and make a better decision quicker. People like Faker are surely intelligent
yeah cuz a quitting def not washed up chapt 1 pro could outplace setty kami, or veno queasy without a fucking demi god carry on his team right?
At the end of the day though, no one knows the extent at what they can accomplish unless they go for it. And almost everyone can become among the top percent with enough practice so why not give it your all
yes but like we both agreed upon earlier genetics does create a skill ceiling
Yes, I do agree with that.
I posted this earlier but idk if anyone saw it. Has anyone ever heard of a a mouse, or implementing finger motion in your grip causing debilitating forearm pain? Almost like tennis elbow or something.
Yeah happened to me today, new mouse, new grip. I woke up wiht my right arm in extreme pain
Fingertip now
Never used finger motion before
Until 2 days ago
wow
what mouse
what grip did you use
i use viper v2 pro, im gonna switch to a ULX tho
Couldn’t go back to sleep because it hurt so bad. Literally was pulsing like an 8/10 pain through my forearm/hand area
finger motion? wtf is that
Using your fingers to make adjustments
my fingers pulse if i dont crack them, try cracking them
you could crack each finger twice
one in the middle of if, and one at the knuckle
wdym, like fingers on the pad a little bit for extra friction?
Using your fingers to aim. Like how you are technically supposed to use your arm, wrist, and fingers to precisely aim(not everyone does it this way)
I started to train with finger motion and a new mouse and now I have incredible forearm pain. Super strange tbh
fingertip grip..?
@ me cuz im not on disc (if u respond)
Not really. The body isnt used to the shape and movements u did, u also probably did it for high volume and a lot of time continuously without much stretching and breaks, or working up to that volume(letting the body adjust)
Its like doing a new exercise at the gym and going hard, u will be sore most likely
But this time
Its more the tendons and ligaments
Hence the pain
Does anyone have any stretches for the shoulder area? Mine’s been getting sore after playing tracking scenarios. Even after taking frequent break between runs.!
Is it behind and to the side of the shoulder
If so thats the rotator cuff
Stretch ur rear delt a bit and exercise ur back + rotator cuff and serratus anterior
I feel it’s more so on the top of the shoulder (?) maybe closer to the collar bone I guess
Not sure how I could explain it
Mobilizing the shoulder and upper body fully might be best actually not just specific things
Is it right above the collar bone? Or exactly on the shoulder
Or between them
If u show me on a picture it would be great
Like edit a picture to show me
I’m at work at the moment, but I’d say more so between the collar bone and shoulder
Idk but im guessing tendon irritation/ overuse. Reducing volume, mobilizing, and working up to higher volume of play overtime is advised. As well as strengthening ur upper body.
Mouse arm is just prone to problems lmao.
I see it a lot, on me aswell
I mainly feel it during tracking scenarios, especially since it’s a 1 hour playlist from the VDIM and my arm feels dead after it’s done. Probably doesn’t help I don’t go to the gym at all
Watch the mobilization exercises on 1hp site and on pinned comments
Thats normal tho, aimtraining is intense
Breaks here and there, stretching and mobilizing, exercising, managing pc volume usage in general, can all help
Try to work towards less tension when u grip and aim with the mouse @limber moth
And use a bit of tension when u need(flicks, reactions, stopping etc)
That’s good to know, I’ve only just started doing it 2 weeks ago so I’m hoping it’ll get better. I take breaks when it starts hurting, I’ll look into that 1HP stuff to do some stretches and mobilizing. I only play on the PC from 5-9/10. And yea I’ve been trying to work on tension with mixing in actually holding down mouse1 when tracking to just holding down a keyboard key for shooting
I try not to death grip as much as possible
Good, try to manage volume a bit on the following days, maybe half an hour less or more
Basically aimtraining a bit less
To let the body heal and get used to it
Maybe if it’s hurting I’ll try just splitting up the 1 hour playlists into 2 different runs of 30 mins and see how that goes, as I’d still like the numbers to go up you know
Sounds like a great idea
I always train before bed so I guess it heals while I sleep on a way
Ye but unfortunately once u get a small injury it might stay for a long time, i dont think u have an injury tho, just a bit of tendon soreness or fatigue
Just rest a bit
Yea today is my rest day anyway, so that should help
Great, thanks for the help
I can only feel the soreness when doing aim train sessions. I'm not sure though, it also feels like it could be muscle fatigue. I can feel slight soreness in my biceps when I aim train. It has the same feeling as muscle fatigue after going to the gym.
It goes away if I take breaks between scenarios though
Have you talked to one of our physical therapists?
my hand and wrist are dead, the fatigue is real. any suggestions? (besides taking a break i got tryouts this weekend)
been trying some stretches but theyre only going so far
Oh if u actually feel the muscle then just take frequent breaks and stretch a bit.
Does anyone know what to do when ur taking mental dips and start performing worse?
Break. Do something else for a day or two
Ok so I have insomnia that runs in my family on my dad’s side. Ever since I was little I’d go through spurts of insomnia where I couldn’t shut my brain off and go to sleep until late in the morning if I could at all. Melatonin and other natural sleep aids either don’t work at all or lose their effectiveness and make my symptoms worse after a couple of nights. Do any of you 1HP guys have any ideas?
Dam that sux, i have trouble sleeping aswell but i bet yours is 5x worse. Hope u find a good solution
Thanks, going to a sleep specialist soon but not super optimistic about it. 90% of the time I’m fine but like 1 or 2 months out of the year I average 3-4 hrs a night
And i imagine it comes unexpectedly too must be annoying
It be like that sometimes man
Yep, completely out of the blue. Makes work tough being a pilot.
Tell the specialist ksyyZ said to take it seriously
Lmao fs will do

Having a bout of insomnia right now so I’ll check it out haha
Could be alot of things, could be sleep apnea, could be social jet lag because of your job
a sleep study may help
but make sure youre doing these basics first
Hey i'd reccomend following the guides here!
Hey i'd check out this routine for shoulder pain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FolmEm5DMTg&t=79s
In this video, I highlight some of the most effective exercises (strengthening & stretches) to address common shoulder pain issues with gaming. We begin with some key strengthening exercises which can help with your mouse control & follow that with some stretches helping you with recovery.
As usual, here are the timestamps.
These exercises als...
Just as a reminder to everybody here we have a free ebook available for wrist pain in gaming. https://1-hp.org/how-to-fix-wrist-pain-from-gaming/
Glossing through it for now, going to try to take notes on it in between some recurrent training I have tomorrow. Already seeing some stuff that I know I could do better at and having never thought of the social jet lag being a factor, I’m thinking this could be quite valuable. I appreciate you guys!
my sleep seems to be really bad but I am not tired and even 15 mg of melotonin does not wwork
of timed release melotonin
do u take caffeine
Nope
whats ur screen time like before you go to bed
Hey there! I want to relax my shoulder more I kind of raise it because of how used to I was to it before, but I don't really know wat to do because my table is as low as it can go and my chair is as high as it can go! And I have a cushion for my seat!
Hey Tom! Have you ever experimented with meditation or anything similar before bed? I've got a couple of friends that struggle with sleeping and I usually recommend a breathing technique that helps in days where im usually anxious or cant go to sleep. It's this one: https://youtu.be/tybOi4hjZFQ
It is a very hard tecnique, in the sense that you'll usually want to not do it since its kinda lenghty, and honestly, boring. But, i assure you that if you just try it once to feel the experience, that may help you in future times where you may need it the most. Also, try to avoid screens as much as possible before going to bed and specially if you cant sleep, dont go and grab your phone. What works for me is 30 mins before bed no screens, so i usually read, it might be more or less for you, so you shouId experiment with it. Hope it helps :)
!! Don't do the breathing exercises in a swimming pool, before going underwater, beneath the shower, or piloting any vehicle. Always practice sitting or lying down in a safe environment. Tinnitus symptoms may appear as a result of pushing too forcefully during the breathing exercise. If this happens, take a step back in your future practice, it’...
Nope I never tried it
I will try it
Oh I should have clarified
I never have problem sleeping
Just i sleep like a low amount
And can't sleep again
Even using melatonin I don't sleep for a long time
oh i see
i dont know much about that, so for example you sleep 4h and after that you cant sleep anymore?
or is it poor quality sleep
Usually 5 now
Yeah but basically
I even take melatonin again
well i havent experienced that, so i cant talk much about it, but could it be something related to irl? Maybe stress or something?
You'll probably wanna get that looked at
But yeah even if you sleep the 5h try that when you wake up maybe it helps, ive used it before when i woke up earlier than expected
Anyone suffer from cloudy vision for a couple days? I've contacted eye my doctor, but they're closed until monday. In the meantime does anyone have any advice on how to remedy the issue?
What do u mean by that
Like my eyes start to get cloudy if I don't constantly blink.
Ye what do u mean exactly by cloudy, if u can elaborate
It's kinda like if you put plastic wrap over your eyes
Is it only while using screens?
no
Next time try watering ur eyes and see if it helps, i honestly dont know about it
Try googling
“Cloudy eyes no blink”
Hi guys is it normal to have jittery aim after caffeine? I have been trying to work on my smoothness so I have upped my sens but on the day to day my smoothness seems quite inconsistent hence I am trying to work on it. But after having caffeine it seems like I cant keep the crosshair still and my hand has a mind of its own
I blink normally I'd say
Not really first part, and I would probably have to admit I do spend a lot of time looking at screens. But this isn't a brand new issue I've started suffering from. It happens maybe 1x every 3ish months
I don't wanna disclose a lot, but I'll say yes
Appreciate the advice
That's a good idea about the meds
Thank you
wrist shaking
how to lessen anxiety when aim training
Shift ur mental from results oriented to improvement oriented
oh nice
would vitamin deficiencies also affect aim and such? got tested for B and D and have a bad deficiency in those
Maybe
Just add a food source of B and 20min sunlight or so
Ez
Its helpful for a loooot of things
got told by a doctor to
Well u still dont have to, deficiency just means u dont eat B vitamin foods and u dont bask in sunlight
If u eat and be in the sun a bit
U wont have deficiency
If its not a weird illness or condition
I'll have to fix diet
only have to take pills for a couple months so I'll do that too for now
Ur choice 👍
idk if this is health but any fix or is there anything i can do for jittery hands? Sometimes my hands will like flick or tense up mid gunfight that will really throw my aim off. Even while aim training sometimes it will it. Pretty sure its just nerves but its a like hard to deal with
Yep nerves. U need confidence and being content with ANY outcome while trying ur best. U wont get stressed if u are used to it or dont care for it
Not sure about those vitamins specifically but overall I'd say yes, I always perform better the more I eat consistently (healthy stuff only)
so how do i care and not care?
how much coffee are you drinking?
Not an awful lot at all I would say. My jitters seem to come and go as days go by I assume it is probably diet related but I'm not sure what to change. i try to stay hydrated as much as possible as I though that would have been the main culprit but it isn't
Accept the losing possibility and dont let it get to u. Be okay with loss.
Research outcome independence
Please help 🙏
Try changing mouse and arm position, from bottom of pad to top of pad(with a lot of the forearm and elbow on the pad
Like demon1 does
For example
First try, is it joever for me
Try a bit more to get used to it, but it doesnt really matter the vrt. Monitor also affects it. And system latency aswell. Do u have 60hz?
yes lol
Ye that affects it badly lol
Can you send a picture please?
I remember having about 220 avg reaction time back in 2015 on 60hz, 144hz I was 180-200 and now 240hz I'm 160-180
High refresh rate very good 👍
Also a lot of 60hz monitors are like 5ms response time at best so take that into account as well
if I have my andrenaline going crazy combined with good sleep I can hit 180-200 but not consistently though
Like in this vid https://images.app.goo.gl/4jDiyTJFvioKLyzXA
Found on Google from m.youtube.com
So ur real vrt is lower, but dont let it matter to u, just play and train normally
Thank you so much!!!
Monitor affects it I went from 144hz to 240hz and that squeezed out even more. On 60hz I imagine the difference is massiv. Also reaction time is something you can train to some extent.
vrt is a cringe measurement
I think I gotta throw the towel for aim training, I've been aim training for a year now and past few months are hell with wrist pain.
I tried rest but no matter what I do my wrist always seems to become fatiqued and then slight pain
My wrist pain gets especially bad with the skypad but I really like it
I think u are most likely tensing your grip when aiming
Work on relaxing that a bit
Also try mobilizing and strengthening the wrist and forearms
And making sure ur upper body posture(shoulders and neck especially) is good
does it matter if my default gripping stance is slanted?
like my default resting position my mouse isn't directly aimed forward
and my left and right motions seem more natural if i move them while slanted
Its fine
I find a lot of tension and my whole body tensing up when I am aim training. what can i do to mitigate this?
Actively trying to de-tense and relax more. Even if it feels uncomfortable and ruins scores, thats just for now. U need to be able to track smoothly and mostly de-tensed, and use tension sparingly like when reacting and flicking, but still with control + detensing when transitioning to micro or track after it
I dont think so, its just tension management. Its a skill that everyone needs to learn/learns with time. U can look it up on youtube daniel kapadia did interviews with top aimers and they talk about important things like that.
glhf in uni and games
uni so hard\
Ye i imagine. Keep at it. Great things can happen if u are consistent with something
I got pretty strong forearms because I’ve been working out for like 7 years and I actually train them specifically that might have something to do with it to though
Not necessarily, try reducing a bit of volume on the hands if u can, to let the tendons recover more. What about the other things?
Tension while aiming for long periods is known to cause fatigue quicker and also pain
Try to actively minimize it and use sparingly when needed, + mobility(check pins + 1hp free wrist pain guide)
Any tips for wrist fatigue? My wrists/tendons (usually on the keyboard side) feel really sore after every session
U are probably constantly “ingame mode” posture with ur left hand, all clawed up on the keyboard. Try taking breaks from that now and then + stretching, mobilizing and strengthening. Pinned comments and 1hp site (has free wrist pain guide)
That makes sense
I try to stretch often but I should get back to strengthening
hey i just got a zowie xl2566k and am wondering whether dyac can have any long term effects on my eyesight
i know it flickers fast enough for me not to see it but i just want an expert opinion on whether it'll make my vision blurry over time
Idk if people know that yet. Tbh. Usually i see comments of either people who notice eyes being uncomfortable the same day or people who dont notice it at all. Could be different for different people
it doesnt seem to make my eyes uncomfortable
but when i get up to take breaks my vision feels a little out of focus at first
Its like that with glasses too(when u take them off)
Idk
Maybe try a few days
And see if u still feel like that
alright ill give it a go cheers. hopefully one day theres some research into this
Yeah it would be great, seems like great potential out of this tech
glhf
Hey guys, how do I know if my mouse grip is causing my hand pain? I don’t play with a death grip on my mouse, so I’ve been suspicious of my grip being the problem recently!
How do I make sure my monitor isn't tilted to the left, or right away from me
I can't find any body talking about that in any ergo checklists, or anything of the sort
Also is it normal to have both shoulders/arms varying lengths of away from torso?
I can only make my left arm comfortable by pushing my arm rest near it's max length away. But my right arm/mouse arm I can have much close to my body without discomfort
look at it
Hey everybody we are offering a huge black friday discount on our memberships. Expires cyber monday lock in your price for the year today
Speed TS makes me dizzzy
how do I do this
Like when I focus too much and I fail, I start to feel pressure in the back of my head
idk why
Take it slow and gradually increase speed while maintaining first flick accuracy
Breaks and water my friend 👍
What does it mean if I have what looks like abs on my back?
That u are yujiro hanma
No no no not like demon back like stack muscles on top of eachother like abs
Show pic
I’m kinda self conscious but here is an example (not me)
She has the same thing
Maybe thats just how ur lower back muscles insert i guess?
Everyone’s different
lol ok thanks for the clarification 👍❤️
i did like 2 hours of smoothbot yesterday and started feeling some tendonitis in my right wrist, tried to sleep it off but it still hurts today when trying to bend my thumb inwards, what do i do
Rest, stretch, strengthen when feels better.
Also dont jump back to same volume after rest, work up slowly
thank you!
anyone have suggestions for something to incorporate into daily routine/seated|standing posture to fix rounded shoulders? ive been unlocking them slowly with stretching and fixing my pelvic tilt but it seems like they get worse when i spend a lot of time in aim trainers
Stretch pec minor
Strengthen the upper back and rotator cuffs
👍🏻
Im new to aim training, would it be normal for some people to be more shaky going to the right than to the left and vise versa? When I track to the left I’m smooth, but when I’m going to the right, it’s a bit jittery.
Normal cuz of hand structure, left side got meatier bones and structure. Just practicing will fix it. Work on having minimal tension and moving smoothly, using ur arm as well
if u are talking about tension while gripping the mouse and playing - u need to actively try and reduce the tension, obviously some tension is needed to control the mouse but it shouldnt be so much tension that u fatigue quickly / have pain / shaky aim
the moment u feel tension rising unwantedly - take half a second to release the grip and tension and continue
teach ur body
thanks
Question, i dont play a lot anymore and partially that is because when i do push ups and other exercises i feel like a static going up throughout my arm is that a sign of anything serious?
Tendon related. Some muscle might be too tight and pulling it / its micro injured / form is wrong
Where do u feel it?
Like exactly
hello @pallid mural
Hi
when i play now and just leave my arm alone after playing my arm has like a blood kind of rushing to it not pain but it some times numb my hand un certain spots
After aimtraining right
Which spots?
like above my wrist
feels right in my wrist and then goes towards my pinkie
usually
i might be overthinking even rn just trying to aim train i cant for ten minutes it is like numbing kind of feeling
it feels under my thumb
And make sure to do everything lightly, no force
kind of area
yea i feel ike i do everything and kind of mastered the tension of light
i have been doing the 1hp guides
the past two days aswell
Ye thats what i meant, to not use too much force on the exercise also
But
Try to give it rest
ok
- when u come back
Dont do 50 min aimtraining with no breaks
Do 15
Then tomorrow
20
Increase like that
until back to 50 or just like 30
And every 30 min take 5 min break
ok
Whatever u can handle
Do mobility exercises for ur upper body, and give it rest for a day or two of not holding a mouse @worn socket
ok just mobility excersies
can i message u privately for more questions
Sure
@pallid mural just the upper body mobility none of the wrist excerises?
First day no, second day onwards yes, in my opinion
About the wrist
This video describes 3 good exercises to help mobilise the ulnar nerve. They are potentially helpful for conditions such as cubital tunnel syndrome and guyon's canal syndrome.
My detailed video about cubital tunnel syndrome and guyon's canal syndrome can be seen here :
https://youtu.be/nOl1Vcwgc_0
My website article all about cubital tunnel sy...
yea its definitly this
since when i stretch my arm fully out it happens more
it also makes my fingers into a claw which is a symptom
its not that bad since ive always just tried to stretch my fingers and wrist
to prevent this
Anyone else have issues where after a while of aim training their clicking finger tendon area kinda hurts?
U can switch to left ctrl as an alternative. + take breaks every 30 min or so
Stretch before and after
Okay thank you
I’ll try this
It’s only when aim training for an extended period of time
I could play val or siege for hours and not feel a thing
Ye aimtraining is a lot more intense and without breaks, ingame u have breaks, not aiming all the time
Or clicking
Is it bad to push through like some of the tension pain when ur aim training? like trying to deal with it
I would say it could lead to problems yes. Give it a bit of rest and some stretches with deep breaths
Especially with our adhd brain that just wants to continue
With its dopamine seeking
I feel the tension mainly after reactivity tracking
so true lol I need to sleep but I'm hyperactive trying to type
Lol i hate it
and sleep is literally something that is a pain in the ass for me
gotta love insomnia
“Why cant i immediately fall asleep”
I stay awake
Cuz i cant bear the waiting to fall asleep
it's always so annoying when the doctors tell me to use stuff like melatonin, exercise and stuff like thay
but it just does not work for me
feels like I'm banging my head up against the wall whenever I try to tell a doctor about it
but thankfully I have a therapy thing in like 3 days hope that helps me
Is it normal if your shoulder hurts after 90 minutes aim training
Give it rest every 30 min, do mobilization for ur upper body
Do you guys know any good ways to deal with tennis elbow and still keep training your aim? Its gotten so bad I can barely play for more than 30 minutes anymore and the brace that I got keeps bumping against my damn table lmao
It feels like it got worse ever since I got the skypad
probably because I have to focus on control even more
Stop tensing as much. Stop caring for scores at least for this period of time. U should rest and not play in my opinion
U dont want it to become chronic
I just have no idea what to do in my freetime then. I study computer science which is always tension on my arm anyway from being on the computer 24/7 and the only other hobbies I have are playing shooters and going to the gym (which I am not allowed to do anymore)
My doctor said it could easily take more than half a year to get better because it started to put pressure on my ulnar nerve
i dont wanna stop playing for half a year and also not be able to go to the gym for half a year
He didnt say stop being on the pc for half a year tho, so treat it like it is
If u ask me at least a day or two no pc, no holding to stuff as much with right hand
Then introducing light stretches with deep breaths, then when u feel ready, odyweight exercises for wrist and elbow
Areas
There are multiple mobilization techniques u can do to release the area that feels pressured
U can search ulnar nerve release on youtube
how long would you think it would take until I can properly play again?
Thats on u. How u feel, but dont play on same volumes in the near week
Cant be 24/7 using the mouse with an injury
U dont want to elongate the healing process or make it worse
And dont use the skypad if it increases tension in ur aiming
so you think I should send the skypad back and get a cloth mousepad? Or try to find a way to use it without putting tension on myself?
Whatever u want
im just wondering if the hard ground my arm is laying on now is putting any pressure on my nerves aswell or if its really just myself having unneccessary tension
Do u rest the forearm on an angle or fully on the pad
didnt know how to describe so theres a pic
Do u feel like ur hand is extended forward? Like is ur anterior delt flexed
I am unsure. I think maybe slightly, but thats probably mainly due to my table size and not necessarily because of the skypad
Oh im saying in general, try to have ur anterior delt not flexed as much then, let the hand go down naturally and get closer to the desk if needed (idk ur position tho)
About skypad
That thing is hard to control so i cant recommend it especially rn
Thats why i said to reduce tension and not care about scores cuz it increases tension(cuz u want to perform)
And thats even without skypad
Also checkout 1hp videos on youtube
They have some good free content
Of exercises etc
I honestly think my chair is too low and therefore I have tension, but it is already on the maximum height lmao
Use a pillow
I have a hard one
Below me
With a kitchen chair lol
Dining table*
hard pillow sounds like a good idea yea
theres probably also no way to properly train my arms aslong as I have the tennis elbow right?
Its fine bro u dont lose muscle that quickly anyway
At least 2 weeks for it to start if i remember correctly
But again
I already took a break for 4 weeks
my main problem isnt even pain, its numbness
my fingers keep getting numb
Usage
No, just gym. Given I study computer science, I cant really take break from pc
I mean aimtraining and long hours of gaming
I didnt do aimtraining anymore but I kept playing like I would suppose round about 3 hours a day
And did u feel any pain or numbness during that time
Mainly when I sleep, my doctor said thats normal when the ulnar nerve is under pressure tho
And funnily exactly today. Had nearly no problem the last weeks but today it came back
Do u sleep with hand below ur head? Is yes dont
Came back when exactly what did u do
I dont fall asleep this way but I often wake up like that because I move a lot during the night
Played aimlabs for the first time in the last 2 months
and also, wearing the brace around my elbow made my fingers go numb
Hmm. Any stretches or exercises for this problem? Did u do some
U rested enough now its time to work on it
But still dont do same volumes as before
Yea, I got the brace today so its probably still just uncomfortable. I was at the doctor today
Oh i thought 4 weeks ago
Well, 4 weeks ago my doctor assumed I had carpaltunnelsyndrome but then they found out its not carpaltunnelsyndrome but the ulvar nerve
that happened today
therefore I got the brace only today
Do u feel that a specific muscle in ur right upper body is too tight?
The meat below it right
yes
Okay so
and my elbow hurts if I move weights, which is why i didnt go to the gym
The ulnar nerve u may already know is connected to the elbow, to the shoulder, and to the neck
Doing mobilization on those areas(badically whole upper body) can release tension and free up space, relieving the nerve from pressure
Start doing those everyday multiple times
1hp videos on youtube are a good source
Then after some days of that, begin strengthening ur tendons in ur upper body and arm especially, with VERY slow tempo bodyweight exercises, like 10 second pushups, if too hard then from a wall
I will try, thank you :)) I have this numbness already for quite a while, probably a year, but never cared enough about it to tell the doctor (i know it was dumb).
The reason I went to the doctor was because suddenly, a month ago, I got immense pain in my pinky finger and ring finger which went up the whole way up to the elbow. I could barely move my hand for like 4 days
I added a paragraph btw
Damn sounds bad
But hopefully its going better now, and it will get better from now
The pushups are why specifially if I may ask? because when I was at my doctor today I asked him about training and pushups were one of those things he specifically said I shouldnt do
Its definitely better than last month and I hope its gonna get better aswell, thank you :))
Im assuming he meant regular pushups tho. Ask him about very slow pushups, larry wheels if u know him tore his bicep, and after the rest period his doctor said to do very very slow pushups to regenerate strength to the tendons
Probably yea, I would try to ask him but getting an appointment at the orthopedist is nearly impossble here lmao
And that guy has the best doctors im sure lol, but maybe its not the same situation, idk
U probably can do the exercises on 1hp videos tho
How comes you have so much knowledge about this btw? Did you suffer from similar problems or do you work in the health industry?
Sadly i had tingling, pain, and it was everyday(still have some sometimes), and my adhd brain researched it more and more and more. But my situation was extreme, it was bad posture + bad sleep + bad diet + no exercise + full months of overuse tryharding on the pc, pushing through pain
And it was sharp pain too
Oh damn, I hope it got bbetter for you aswell ://
On every part of my mouse arm from fingertip to neck lol
Ye and i still dont really fix it myself, dont be like me lol
Imo it was multiple stuff together x:D
Oh damn, did you also lift weights? I started lifting half a year ago and made pretty insane progress, so my doctor assumes my muscles grew too fast and my joints and nerves didnt really follow up, which is why the problems started getting a lot worse (already had them before but by far not as bad)
I really think the solution is mobilization so the nerve isnt restricted and strenghtening of the tendons specifically, using very slow reps or explosive reps. However im not ur doctor and ur situation might be different from mine, so i wouldnt do things that the doc says not to do
Did he say to rest the arm for half a year? @fervent radish
He said to not do movements where I bend my elbow until it gets better and to wear my brace whenevere I have pressure on it (basically when I use my PC) and to stretch it everyday
Oh so he did tell u to stretch
Thats the mobilization i talked about
To free up space so it doesnt fet pinched or pressured
The nerve
I also visit a physiotherapist every week (because I have back problems tho) and he might be able to help relieve some pressure aswell
Great, wish u the best man
thanks a lot for your help, wish you the best aswell♥️
how I feel sometimes
Actualy thanks a lot ksyyz
can cracking ur knuckles do anything for aim training or not?
if you crack your knuckles after every good run, the dopamine release will make you improve faster
i do it like after a hard scenario
hi, my wrist pop every time i turn it even when I'm not gaming. I have no pain but it's weird. Is normal or is a symptom of something? I do stretch every time i play
Sometimes people's bodies just kinda do weird things like that
If there's no reason for concern like pain, discomfort, or limited movement, you'll probably just have to live with it
Might be some muscle is tight and restricting movement for the tendon, hence the tendon “grinds” on the bone and u hear the sound
is neck pain normal when playing a good bit of static or am I doing something wrong?
Honestly now that I think about it, I think since I have to be so precise, and the targets are so little, I’m subconsciously moving my head forward, nerd necking it if you will. I could be wrong, but I think I just caught myself doing it a bit. I don’t have a monitor arm so my monitor is quite far back ;-;
Because I don’t really get neck pain like this as much, if at all, with normal tracking scenarios
I'd guess you're tensing your body when playing too. when I am focusing sometimes I really clench up my muscles and have to manually think about being loose and relaxed
not sure that's the reasoning but it is a good place to start looking
Honestly, thanks for this, I think I also was slightly tensing my upper shoulder/neck area. I don't tense a lot, but that repeated small tension bursts after an hour or so of practice I think was what was doing it.
My bicep never tenses so I didn't think I was tensing until you said something, then I realized my upper shoulder was slightly tensing repeatedly
Glad you got it sorted! I kinda tense up and even like gasp at times when I’m trying to make a play lol
Bro 😭 I genuinely find focusing in TS hard because of how dizzy I get from 60hz monitor
ull get used to it
60hz isnt end of the world imo
I started playing kovaaks with a heavier mouse and after my last aim sesh my arm will not extend anymore?
I might overgrip a bit because my mouse has wear marks were I put my fingers and sometimes it feels like theres some give in my mouse
Just be careful when you aim train, I'm gonna have to take a few days off
Probably the bicep tendon overly tight, try to sit higher to give it more space for next time(higher adjustment or hard pillow below u)
Okay I'll try that when my arm feels better, thanks for the advice. I hope it'll feel a bit better in the next 1-3 days or at least be "unstuck"
Is it still stuck? Lol
Thought temporary
Do u feel pain or tension still or its just stuck without feeling anything
Its still movable, just won't properly bend unless I assist with my other arm
A bit of pain, not like anything extreme but
Google search “arm wont bend” i find good things u can try and relieve the pain(most important dont use the arm on pc or mobile, let it rest fully and use ur left)
Yeah, I figure rest would do me the most good, I did increase my 1w5t pasu so I think it was worth it
1hp can help me with tilted ?
Hey we deal with this issue all the time, you have to build the endurance of the wrist flexor muscles in the forearm and work on mobilizing the ulnar nerve. Wearing a brace won't help and you don't have to stop playing, we can get you back to full performance in less than 8 weeks. if you want to talk to one of our PTs that specializes in gaming fill out the form here! https://1-hp.org/game-without-pain/
Hey this sounds like tendon irritation of the muscles that bend your elbow, you should be stretching and building the endurance of those muscles to prevent this.
Yeah we have esports psychologists that can help! https://1-hp.org/stronger-mental-wins/
Gotta strengthen it!
I see. Im just wondering because my orhtopedist told me I definitely need a brace for a while. Maybe it is because for me its also from overtraining in the gym? and not only the gaming part
the brace can be helpful at night to prevent the muscles from tightening, or while you are lifting to help support the muscles. But while playing it will just restrict movement. There are other more efficient strategies for this
I got 2 different ones. One from the orthopedist which I am supposed to wear during training and one from the neurologist who measured my nerves which I am supposed to wear during the night
gotcha we haven't done an evaluation yet so I can't say for sure but for tendon irritation wearing a brace while playing only serves to stress shield the tendons which doesn't address the underlying issue of the endurance deficit. But it won't hurt you. Just doesn't fix anything on it's own, may be helping to protect your nerves if they are sensitive and making contact with the desk if that's the rationale. We would have to do a full eval
I think it might be because of the nerve inflammation I apparently have but at this point I also dont know anymore because every doctor says something different. Orthopedist said I should do stretching to make it go away, neurologist said I should not use my arm for the next months at all. I honestly just wanna be able to go to the gym again.
Yeah I totally get it that
that's super frustrating, I saw you filled the form out, we will have somebody contact you soon to chat
Yes, thank you :))
why do my eyes always unfocus
Is it normal to feel tension and fatigue (to the point that I have to reset my arm position to continue) in my forearm when I aimtrain, especially when I try to click faster ?
oo nice
Nope this sounds like early tendonitis!
@river kraken may be spending too long starting at the screen without breaks try the 20/20/20 rule
How can I prevent that ?
What is this rule? And I also get it when I genuinely just start getting online, so idk if its been too long in that case
Switched to a glass pad recently, and I've been noticing numbness in my pinkie whenever I aim for extented periods of time
might just be cause the mousepad is cold
I've been getting that too, and it goes away under hot water for me
otherwise could be irritation
maybe, though it doesn't really feel cold at all
and it also includes slight pain in my wrist
similar to that of a pinched ulnar nerve
my mouse grip for reference:
update from ~50 minutes of rest -
still have pain in both areas as well as discomfort on the backside of my elbow
can caffeine lead to shakiness? or is just my skill
is glass pad faster or slower than usual
id go tbh, its not that carpal tunnel is untreatable yk, if symptoms have just shown then there may be a chance you can reverse it before it gets really really annoying
i mean damage already done is untreatable but if its so new
(i am not qualified in any way btw this is js my own opinion lmao)
consider seeing if you can find the root of the tension. follow it in your body it can lead up to the shoulder and then other areas of the body, mostly commonly the hips these days. Given all of our seated time our hip flexors end up getting stuck in a shortened tensed position and this can cause a myriad of tension issues in the rest of the body if it gets bad enough.
imo try doing some stretches for your shoulder and the surrounding area and see if the carpal effects ease up a bit i wouldn’t immediately stretch the hand/wrist itself without getting your shoulder too. just based on my experience dealing with some similar issues
in an ideal world you’d try stretching your hips first but i know that’s a bit more of an ask when you’re not confident it’s a tension issue like i am
if it doesn’t work just some time invested oh well
if you got the money and you know a good one it’s probably wise.
most physios are bad/kinda dense ime
yea go doc do stretches get it taken care of
it’s a sign that you should take note of
faster
Wrist pain do I do some stretches while it heals or let it heal then stretches after
after a few minutes of tracking, my hand makes a mildly irritating popping sensation, as if my hand was a gear in need of oil, is this normal or is it something to worry about
Water, stretching and mobilizing to free up space for the tendons, frequent mini breaks, not too much tension when aiming, and not tensing all the time
ur probably sleeping on ur hand or something
Ive read briefly above, and shoulder issues can definitely cause wrist and finger issues, so keep us updated after a few days of shoulder and upper body mobility and rest from the pc(or significant volume reduction)
Okay very odd question so I have been on a keto diet (granted it's somewhat dirty because I'm still figuring things out) and I swear to God it improved my kd in apex by 1. went from 2.0 to 3.1 is there any science behind this because I thought maybe it was just placebo but I'm consistently better over the past few days. I have heard that it has some cognitive benefits but I never would have imagined that this could happen.
Plus I haven't played in like 4 months so this is even more unexpected.
Yo
Is there any guide as to how I should progress with exercise as a total beginner
I'm going to try and start tomorrow with brisk walking
But I don't know how I would progress after
hi
recently i've been getting slight pain inbetween my thumb and pointer finger
i only use my wrist to aim and also play on a pretty slow sensitivity this has never happend before
and i wanted to see if anybody could give me some advice
Idk about the diet, but breaks have been shown to improve people, i see examples of it multiple times. Ur mindset is free, ur mental is fresh, etc
Easy. Start with a minimum amount of time with low intensity.(can be walking for 5 minutes for example). Depending on ur situation u can decide when to increase the duration of the walk
10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20
Then later, u can walk at a slightly faster pace
For 10
Then 15
Then 20
I would highly recommend introducing bodyweight movements too after the walking
But its ur decision if u want to add them later down the road or not
Just remember to do them slow and controlled
Especially in the beginning
And dont forget loosening the body with a minimal mobility routine before working out
what is that
Simple bodyweight exercises, like wall sit, pushup, pullup, row, squats, etc
I keep waking up in the middle of the night
Hmm. To use the bathroom?
When do u wake up usually and when do u sleep
ive been trying to track targets as smoothly as possible but I for some reason still feel like a slight dull pain in my arm after trying to do some smoothness scenarios, is this normal or am I still tensing a little too much
Where, and is it a sharp pain, or?
For how many hours do u train
And which sens?
Do u tense ur arm muscle too much?
Or for too long?
If yes learn to relax it and tense it at the appropriate time
U should be able to tense and relax on command while aiming
Fast direction change? Small tense transitioning to smooth tracking
the underside of my arm, 30 minutes, pain is kinda not that terrible, 800 dpi, and honestly it doesn't feel like I tense my arm that much but idk
Take it easy, maybe take small breaks here and there + stretching before during and after playing
Find stretches and exercises to the forearms and fingers
1hp has good youtube videos about it
i think it's also because of the positioning of my chair and desk
because my arm isn't always flat on my desk
also I switched to 800 dpi from 450 to try to work on my smoothness
Did u change the cm or make it equivalent?
U can try putting a hard pillow below u and check how u feel while aiming
uh I think I kept the cm the same
Then that means u nearly doubled ur sens, try to lower it a bit
The sensitivity not the dpi
from like 11.4 to what
Sec
that's the sens I use in aimlabs
however despite changing to 800 dpi my scores have largely remained the same if not a little better but slightly worse in some scenarios
not by much though
We dont want to have u in pain tho :] that was 15cm quite extreme
Try 5.5 ingame and aimlab
Thats 31.5 cm
Give it time to get used to(a few days)
well believe it or not i just got a new pb with this sens on a reactivity scenario
uughhh guys my shoulder hurts 🙄
Evaluate your posture, reduce time on pc, introduce mini breaks every half an hour, mobilize your shoulder + strengthen it. But first - rest
regular walks will also generally help loosen up your body if you don’t normally walk a decent bit
I know this isn't quite the place to ask but I have mono and have noticed that my aim is just consistently off. I went from pretty easily being able to dominate games and get good scores on Kovaaks to just whiffing shots I usually made. That's normal right? Or do I just have the yips or something mental?
Normal, accept that we as humans have day offs, and try to set ur deep goal as having fun, and winning as a bonus, losing as a “i had fun while playing it + i got experience from it”
Hey there does anybody know how to fix uncomfortableness in the shoulder?
I want to play more but my shoulder just feels uncomfortable and idk wat ot do!
I htink I lift my shoulder because it was a habit I had and something I couldn't control!
after I exercise crazy I have shaky aim. Should I practice some time with shaky aim not much. just to control over it or its useless
Take a break before aimtraining, eat and drink. Or aimtrain before

when i try and use side buttons while playing my hand seems to feel really tense and stiff and I feel like im unable to grip my mouse
i have a question for all the gamers, us people who wear headphones/earphones/iems for upto 12 hours a day, dont you think we are putting ourselves at serious risk of tinnitus? if yes then is it possible to prevent tinnitus while still using the afforementioned devices for so long?
it isnt necessarily a bad habit, i found out that i naturally developed it due to my bad smoothness but if its too uncomfortable then maybe your table is too high
Hi, lately I been feeling a little pain over there every time I extend my arm, it feels like a needlestick, no idea what could it be.
Any recommendations on what to do?
I think if you listen at low volume it should be fine
I think it is because of a thingy with m y shoulder it is I forgot the name of it!
Reduce your volume, your ears will feel weird if its too loud for them
What is missing from my diet if I eat oatmeal, frozen berries, chocolate powder, kiwis, milk and honey for breakfast and in the evening rice with chicken, broccoli and frozen peas, carrots and corn
or is it balanced enough
I sleep around 6 hours and basically cant sleep anymore then that I dont feel tired at all or feel any bad symptoms but still concerned it reduces my recovery working out
could I be recovering just fine ?
can say after my first recent "rested" feeling after sleep (7.5 hours), reaction time improved (from the 200 avg) and reaction scenario scores are up
just putting this here for further reference; yes slep is in fact good
Ye, everyone has different body and needs
Im sure there are ways to gauge recovery quality over time
Search youtube
anyone know how long it takes for aim training adaptations to take place? like when i grind static one day, i cant play it again the next day at the same level but i can play tracking at my usual level
depends on how loud it is. Stay under 85 decibels. Eat foods with lots of folate like broccoli and dark leafy greens
Idk maybe one or two days, but on static other factors can hinder performance, even slight changes in technique can make a flick look different, + the chance u are physically fatigued a bit from going all out yesterday
- mental cues can sometimes slip by us
And since static is highly technical it matters more
If u show a vod from yesterday(which u consider good) and vod u consider bad u can usually see the difference
- maybe its just a bad day today, all good
Ive noticed my eyes getting worse over the years and my constant 6+ hours of aim training a day has only made it worse as of late, are there any glasses specifically made for screens to help my vision from getting worse? I dont wanna play less unless i absolutely have to & usually thats when the wrist/hand pain occurs, the eye strain is constant though
get eye drops, do frequent mini breaks, drink well, check for a need for glasses
bluelight glasses help me during long gaming sessions, and you dont need a perscription for them
is it normal that fast moving targets always seem slightly blurry for me?
like especially when i play pilltrack on aimlabs i notice that i am mainly just "suspecting" how the target is gonna move because the movement itself doesnt seem clear to me
i am unsure if its a hardware problem or a health issue, but i would assume it isnt from my hardware, because I own a 240hz monitor and consistently get FPS above that
maybe its also the colour theme that my eyes cant handle well? i use the aimlabs default
Oh ye, aj reminded me i forgot to tell u about using f.lux or windows night mode for yellow tints on the screen(reducing blue light)
Ur monitor might be of poor motion clarity(separate from hz, they arent all the same) this is only a possibility btw, not saying its 100% this
Or u just arent used to the tasks yet
Or u focus on peripheral vision and not exactly at the bot at all times
how can I find that out? i got a monitor that was recommended on here so i didnt thought its bad
how can i try to work on that?
Whats the name of it, if it was recommended then it might not be the monitor itself tho
