Tbh, coastline is a shit map for ranked

Attackers are always so close to site and vertical destruction is so strong that there’s not much that you can do against a team exploiting their strengths

Basic defense setups are simple but the rounds generally end up being about who gets away with more dumb shit

For a hookah def the basic setup would be to reinforce the quad wall, vip wall to block the guitar angle and then the first and third walls on the hookah bar side wall, the center on the front one and the cool vibes one

Rotations on cool vibes/hookah to pool and that’s basically it

The main issue is people either bunch up in site and get fucked by rappels or roam so far away from site that they don’t delay the attack and die without any sort of refrag chance

It’s just a shit map for ranked and also for comp kinda imo

but i end up not really knowing where to play

we always have someone vase and someone playing drinks

and then i feel like i just cant stay in site

Well, 2 players in site are more than enough

Then either you have people roaming downstairs in order to force them to clear you to avoid c4s or you roam top floor denying entry points

It’s pretty simple to deny tv/penthouse

And by extension that makes pushing vip hard

Then it’s just about your anchors not getting themselves killed in site

Just let utility do its thing

For kitchen it’s the same thing, can roam downstairs and hold the entire bottom floor to make entry to the map harder or roam top floor to deny vertical control

You basically need to be smart and play the entire map, otherwise you’ll get trapped in site

Assuming you can have some decent communication with your teammates roaming downstairs is the easiest way to defend kitchen

And service can even be held from main with some holes

You’d probably still want at least one site player

But that’s the beauty of kitchen

Ofc this is more comp level stuff

But the reality is that you can’t do anything against 2-3 attackers using half their brainpower as a solo roamer in coastline

The other option would be to hold tv, that way you deny vertical as well

But you need reinforcements and utility up top

Well, there are a lot of reasons. Firstly, average siege sens is low so they are used to it. Secondly, they mostly use hipfire, which is much higher, for wide angles. Finally, they rarely need to do wide angle flicks due to how good they are at reading the game, responding to it and the amount of intel they usually posess

Alright @noble belfry so basically my story begins in late 2016 even before I built my first pc. As I was researching all pc stuff I ended up funding r/mk and decided I wanted to build a keyboard

So as soon as GMK Laser R1 was announced I got in that, and got my keycaps. I joined the Noxary 280 GB (dark gray, WKL, with 5mm brass playe and matching numpad, the 220). The original delivery estimate for that was like 5-6 months after GB but as many GBs delays happened and not even today all boards have been shipped due to manufacturing misshaps and stuff. Then (as expected) the economic situation went downhill and $700 in a keyboard kit was just not ok, since I’d even have to pay 50% in taxes once it got here and I sold my slot.

So that’s where I’m sitting, I had all the knowledge and had done all the research to build a keyboard but couldn’t since everything was too expensive and after not being able to build a high end board like the 280 I was too proud to build something cheaper so I never really built anything yet.

I’ve joined all keycult raffles and taken Ls unfortunately, I joined bauer raffles and also took Ls. I missed polares which was a dumb mistake, that should’ve been it. Vega wasn’t too appealing since 65% and less variety.

But anyway, I’m banking on the Bauer lite now. Once that goes in GB I’ll get in, and it should be significantly cheaper since it’s injection molded PC vs CNC’ed alu/brass. Will finally give my OG GMK Laser a home
