Anyone have good tips on movement? I tried looking up on PL players like shaiiko or joystick and honestly, trying to mimic their movement puts a small burden on my aim. I tried mimicing content creators like Shawk from DG because i prefer not to do Q E OR beaulo lean but i cant seem to mimic it at all

I wouldnt say im doing poorly rn in game but i feel if i had better movement or more refine movement, it could win me gunfights. Rn honestly my movement is just wide swinging and i tend to not crouch often(so enemies who are aiming at crouch level will be at a disadvantage)

A good tip for movement that I never hear any players mention is actually to sometimes to simply not use movement. Any movement will always move your crosshair, and players often times focus too heavily on moving during gunfights instead of shooting. Same mentality as playing to not die rather than to kill the enemy. If you know you can just get the kill, then stop moving/leaning, line it up and just kill. Of course, that comes in moderation.

Underrated tip I see people forego. People think you always have to have fancy movement for every engagement and that if your movement isn't nice then it isn't a good kill.

Sure. Yeah, if the situation is willing.
Or it could even be something more subtle such as not leaning during quickpeeking like how Spoit often does. You can find in his videos he'll oftentimes lean before peeking, and simply AD out of cover to peek without ever touching his lean keys. His crosshair is a lot more predictable that way.

Again, situational, but still.

The ultimate goal of a gunfight is to put a bullet on target, so if your maneuvers are going to inhibit that, consider focusing on them less and more on landing shots quicker.

Yeah, shaiiko isn’t a genetic mechanical freak like, say, aceu. He isn’t even that far from other top fraggers in siege in terms of mechanics. It’s just that at the same time he has almost perfect positioning and awareness. Aiming mechanics wise, I’d put muzi and beaulo a bit above him even personally.
