Yeah, that's pretty normal. It sometimes comes as a shock to players who do well in real games and start seriously aim training only to find that their mouse control was pretty mediocre this whole time.

But like I said, you can improve quickly in the beginning, especially if you practice deliberately at it.

It doesn't take long to get good at something; but to become great at something, that's another story.

That applies to pretty much any skill, not just aim training.

People don't play Aim Trainers for literal aim. They play it for mouse control. Mouse control is what you are able to develop your specific aim on (based on what game you play).

It's like weight training for martial arts. Being super strong doesn't mean you're going to win in a fight. But training weights and becoming strong allows you to train more powerful techniques, agility, etc. and will make your kicks/punches more focused and quicker. This allows you to be a better fighter overall. A stronger arm doesn't mean a better punch, but raises the ceiling for how efficient the punch can be. This is the same for mouse control and aim.

Mouse control is the base foundation for all your aim. Practical aim comes almost entirely from the game that you're proficient at for a multitude of reasons.
