DbD has cross progression, which means your progress saves across multiple plaforms, all you need to do is go to their website, log in with your BHVR account and then link your Epic and Steam and you're all set

Here's my copypasta general killer tips
Generally, identify a 3-4gen at the start (3 or 4 gens in close proximity); pressure all gens but prioritize the 3-4gen; don't be afraid to drop chase if they're leading you too far from gens or if it's taking too long; don't worry about early popped gens, it gets harder for survivors to do them the more they do them.
For chases, largely depends on the killer, but generally you want to run tight around walls and chase in a direction that denies survivors fast vaults and access to other resources if possible. Bait pallet drops at first since new survivors are trigger happy, and once they start greeding then it becomes a 50/50 every time you pass by a pallet. Learn mindgames, some being double backing and moonwalking behind tall walls to hide your red stain. Learning survivor checkspots and blindspots is also helpful. After a pallet is dropped, learn which are safe (survivor can vault back and forth on reaction and not mindgameable, break those immediately) and unsafe (you can mindgame it, no need to break those unless they block a path).

Hello, I'm not exactly new to the game, but I am coming back after a while! I mainly play Huntress as she was my first and I have a hard time learning others. However I want to expand my horizons. I am interested in both Unknown and Dredge. Which of these 2 would you recommend, or alternatively, what other killers are fun to play as? Thank you for your time!

it does since the broken status effect is really short, but you can use it only once, and if the killer just comeback to you, they will M1 ur friends and they will have no endurance, with a perk like wglf it gives endurance so even if the killer comeback they won't be able to injure ur friends and they won't be able to injure you, since u won't have to sacrifice a full healt state and with MFT u also get a endurance if ur alr injured

the thing is you spray as trickster which is really bad… he isn’t really 4.4 it’s when he is walking without using blade the more you throw blade the slower you get to the point ur gonna barely move, they changed how much knife needs to be hit to get a down but also changed his core mechanic if u spam knife = u go slow u have to throw 2-3 knife then swap to ur main M1 then take the knife out again otherwise you’ll be slow as fuck

the best thing you can do is stuck them around a pallet if they loop = pre take ur knife around corner to hit them before they reach the side their safe= if they play too safe from knife try to m1 or scare them into thinking u will m1 to get a vault/drop and throw blade. Also the blade laceration gets away pretty quickly so if u struggle w that you probably need some in game perks that gives haste so u don’t loose them

Anyway if youre struggling as trickster make sure to almost never throw knives in large bursts unless someones directly on you, it only takes 6 knives to injure now and you move slower after you throw too many knives so you want to ideally drop the knives then pull them back out frequently, stealth build is very good on the killer now also because it reduces prerunning

The spirit relies heavily on sound to track you when she phases, that loud static like sound when she stands still for a bit. Sometimes faking which direction you're going can trick her, as well as running towards a pallet or window & then not taking it and starting to walk. You can also tell what direction she's coming from as that phasing audio is directional. A very strong perk against her is Iron Will from Jake Park, which makes your injured noises silent c:

AFK crows, as you mentioned your friend got, could be the cause of the penalty. There was a patch a while ago to help crack down on folks to leave games early, trap survivors in corners, people who afk, etc etc. One of these changes relating to AFK crows and potentially be the reason as to your friend getting a penalty without DC'ing

if your first chase is going to be 2 minutes, you leave

run around until you find an opening, then exploit it. If they never leave themselves vulnerable (always prerun well) you just have to go for the person on the worst part of the map for them

I would suggest heavily getting artist or clown after, since pop goes the weasel has had a buff it’s now the strongest (consistent) Gen regression perk but artist has 2 amazing perks that work so amazing together (pain res) and (grim embrace)

I think pain res is kinda overrated but alongside grim embrace it’s very overpowered considering they have the same stack system and when you get all the stacks every Gen is blocked for 40 seconds which is a lot of time where they cannot do anything

Why can I find playing as xeno more fun than the animatronic? both is very similar. I understand "fun" is relative to everyone but I feel somehow the xeno is superior even though springtrap can catch you while traveling allowing a free down

If you use up all the stacks at the start sure, but you really just have to keep an eye on when to hook for pain res, i usually use two to stop the pops at the start and save the others for later

I think definitely two things he has going for him is Map travel and his power isnt intuitive to dodge, like how you see huntress pull up a hatchet you have time to prepare, that doesnt really exist with Xeno's power other than the whip sound but its usually quite late
