Eyes of Belmont does apply to itself, yes. The same way Lethal Pursuer also increases its own aura reading duration at the start of the game.

It's just a flat addition though, the aura length doesn't increase per perk activation.

It's just a simple +2 seconds to all aura-related effects that list a set duration

IE, it wouldn't apply to Kindred auras, as Kindred does not list a duration. It's just on/off as the killer is in range.

You can also use Gen kick perks but I find with Ghostface you want to be in chase as much as possible. Otherwise if you kick you dont have mobility to catch up. In a moment I will check to see what build I have. I know one of them is Brutal for chase though

The only people who say this are insane tribalist survivor mains who are always convinced the game is "killer sided".

Just ignore that sort of thing. There are extremely vocal and rabid people in the playerbase, and all you can do is just watch them act out as amusement.

Ive had likemaybe four or five games the past day or two where a single person starts screaming in postgame chat calling me toxic tunneling camping piece of shit and then every other survivor is nice and/or making fun of the raging person.

If you play Kaneki though expect it more. People really really dont like playing against him as survivor. Myself included.

Thats how the killer got cursed in lore. The leech is like a krasue parasite I guess? Since the krasue in dbd lore functions more like a parasite.

I have an important question, I just got the Switch version when it was on sale: On the Switch side, it says I have 2150 Auric Cells, while on my PC it says I have 3200-something. Are those Switch Cells like a 'bonus' for buying an extra copy of the game?

And I know the Switch is different when it comes to Cross progression, but it's my understanding that that only applies to stuff bought directly from the Nintendo Store, so I'm not sure if me buying anything with the Switch Cells would appear on the PC side, especially in regards to the Rift Pass or not

There's a 5th one specifically for Haunted by Daylight
Anything that is related to Haunted by Daylight gives you a Score Event

Finesse is Lara Croft, Dead hard is David, windows is Kate. You have to prestige them once to get. Edit: resilience is a default perk.

For this particular pallet, there was a point at the start of the clip where you had pallet control, i.e. you were at the pallet and the Survivor was at the apex of a short-ish wall in a position like this with Clown you should be able to combine the bottles to be able to catch them, by allowing the Survivor to get back to the pallet they were free to predrop it, at which point they are likely quite safe as the length of the tile at that point is too long

Makes you unable to use certain perks until you've recovered.

Sprint Burst, Lithe, Balanced Landing, Dead Hard, Overcome, Head On etc are all examples of this. They inflict you with Exhaustion upon using them, and you cannot use them again until you recover.

Imo however, the root of the camping problem is not killers, but survivors, who refuse to do gens while someone is hooked, and instead will gather to look at the killer angrily, and trade hooks (which is what the camper wants)
I mean, imagine if every game where killer facecamps, survs would just finish all gens, open gates, unhook the camped surv and get 4 out? I think facecamping would die quickly

I don't entirely disagree with the premise, but this only works for SWF, not the average new player who isn't logging in with a prebuilt team of 3 friends and synergized perks (the people you want to not hate their lives so they keep playing and become regular, skilled players);

The time it takes you to die on the hook, even if you struggle through phase II, isn't enough for 3 survivors to complete 5 gens, even if someone's running a map to keep everyone hopping from gen to gen, especially if the first person hooked is your repair speed booster.

The game does give you resources to win hook 'trades' as a survivor though, so I feel like people should focus more on that as a solution to camping (which I agree is a bit lame but is at least understandable from newer killers)

I mean, I'm no megazord in DBD, I play for a few months, take a break, come back, all the perks have changed, but I've been playing on and off like that for about 5 years, and this only sounds good on paper to me.

I primarily play one of four killers, there's lots of things I can do as each of them to make it hard for you to survive getting the unhook in the first place, especially since the killers I play most are Pig, Shape, Hag, and Deathslinger.

My favorite 'fun' perk is devour hope, though, so by default I tend to get as far away from my hooks as possible unless I turn around and there's 3 survivors right there lol.

Survivor can hang on a hook for 140 seconds. You're right, it's not quite enough, but it is almost enough: 3 gens pop in 90 seconds, then another 90-100 to jump to other gens and do those. Of this 4 killer, the only one that genuinely makes it hard for hook trades solo is myers, since you do not know whether he has tier 3 active. Unless Hag has the survivor within her 3 gen web, it is basically impossible for hag to defend both her 3 gen and the hook. Devour hope is scary when timing is right, but good survivors will immediately drop all generators and look for it at the moments notice. And it could have been cleansed 30s into the match since most survivor follows the if it glows it goes rule

I do agree with that assessment of devour hope. πŸ˜„ I generally run haunted grounds, retribution, and undying with it and go full totem aggro if I'm gonna do it (if I'm feeling like I can do great I'll sub ruin for retribution).

One of Hag's add-ons used to create an obstacle you couldn't go through when triggered, I imagine a camping hag could spare 2 sigils next to a hook... I used to, and then I'd make sure I patrolled the gen I lost sigils from in exchange and teleport back when triggered. Couldn't the hag just drop walls in front of the unhook, though?

Killers only get 3 Captured Haunts per Void Well visit and they're also consumed upon kicking a Pallet or Generator
They're also kinda annoying to hit and can be played against like any Ranged power

Void Crystals let you get a free 24% on a gen without anyone spending time on it, and can also work when a Gen is Blocked
It also can mess with what Info the Killer has and lead them to Gens that have no survivors near
The Shattering isn't as useful but the cloud is practically opaque which means if you know how to use it you can just escape a Chase for free

I havent really tried third seal build on hag before, though I have done it on plague and twins. My experience with third seal is that it really requires you to go full hex build, with thrill undying and maybe ruin for slowdown. You need a killer with the map pressure to really control all your objectives and hexes at the same time, which can be quite the challenge itself. Extremely effective on killers twins that can go for a map wide slug, thats for sure.

A nice, generic build I recommend for new Pig players includes Corrupt Intervention, No Holds Barred (formerly known as Deadlock), No Way Out and any fourth perk of your choice. My usual recommendations for this fourth slot are Enduring, I’m All Ears, Brutal Strength or Hex: Fortune’s Fool (formerly known as Hex: Plaything). It lets you focus on chase and stealth while your Reverse Bear Traps and the perks slow the game down.

If you want something I bit more spicy feel free to ask, and let me know which perks you have available if you need alternatives.

As far as placing Reverse Bear Traps goes, it's quite simple. You want to get your Reverse Bear Traps out as quickly as possible. There's only two exceptions when you down someone;

  • The Survivor in question is dead on hook.
  • There are already two Survivors with a Reverse Bear Trap on, and no generators are about to be done.

The reason for that second one is because The Pig cannot see the auras of her Jigsaw Boxes, and you are not likely to come across people looking for the key to remove their trap. Thus, you will likely lose a lot of pressure during the period the Survivors are removing their RBT and you cannot find anyone.

Sable perks are very niche. Taurie has Shoulder the burden, which is nice but not good in soloq and/or if you're not great at looping
