Any time it says 'Abandon' in the top right corner, you can leave without a penalty.

Regular dc's are free per 20 matches I believe. So if you dc for real, you don't get a penalty but have to 'earn' it back by playing 20 matches without doing that again.

Some Survivor perks require cleansing or blessing totems to charge or activate, but other than that, cleansing a dull totem (one that isn't burning) doesn't do anything except give you points.

When the totem is burning, which is easily visible, then this totem has a Hex perk applied to it. Hexes can be active from the start of the match and remain in play until the totem is destroyed, hexes can apply a debuff to you upon finishing the cleanse action, some hexes only spawn later when certain conditions are met.

It is theoretically possible to prevent hexes from spawning if no dull totems exist on the map.

giving people fear makes your hallucinations recharge quicker (especially if you run that one add on so I recommend it). Place your hallucinations near gens or important spots for map pressure. If you want to slightly optimise your hallucination placement, tapping right click will delay spawn timer so you can properly position.

Place hallucinations on one side of a pallet if you want to help shut down a loop. Put it near shack window at shack. Make sure you look in the direction you want to be facing when you tp there (face whatever loop you're at as it's about to spawn).

If you're too close to a gen or hook, the hallucination wont ever spawn, move back a bit if it's not working.

Yeah it's a bit annoying. But if you want to be repairing gens, there is truly no exhaustion perk better than sprintburst. No matter how risky the generator, you'll be able to run away.

Regarding hyperfocus, it really is a perk that only gives you value if you can flawlessly hit increasingly quick skill checks without missing once. It's still not as useful as Sprint Burst and Adrenaline

I’d say you could keep using it up to 50 games maximum but preferably forever stopping between 25 and 30 games (also what Kostyazz said underneath me) - edit: other people are less patient than me for learning curves though, I’m happier as a slow learner bc I hate rushing myself

It differs but depending how much you play i wouldn't expect it to take longer than 500-600 hours of playing to almost master looping, I've got about 500 hours on survivor and 2.3k on killer and id say im a decent looper against killers i understand completely

If you understand how to play the specific killer you're playing against as survivor then you just have to take the info you know and use it to play around the killer which is why I recommend knowing how to play against each killer as they each play differently

there's plenty of looping videos explaining what each tile is n how to play around but it's balancing that around how to play against certain killers, knowing the timing of when to throw palettes down, how to check spot etc. You'll get there with practice and time. Nurse and blight are the best killers in dbd but both are extremely difficult to learn, if you want to just turn your brain off and get 4ks just play krasue or kaneki

Depends on whether you're playing with controller or mouse. My favorite powerful killer if dracula. Nurse, blight, krasue, wesker, ghoul are all top tier if you use mouse.

Yes, as long as you have a good headset. Higher skill floor than the others. You'll lose a dozen matches before you start getting pretty good with her.

It's unfortunate but it's just how dbd is made, it has to do with the way the developers adjusted the camera for killers to make hits look more natural after a survivor has already been registered within the killers hitbox
