I like the Knight and the build im using on him ATM is: Deer stalker, Spies from the shadows, Nowhere to hide and, a nurse's calling.

I like the constant info this build gives me but I also know it isn't the best. Is there any improvements to it i could make?

you can use it to chain downs if you have smth like lethal or spies from the shadows or infectious or just good game sense

Trickster is also amazing at camping so you can, instead of going for an obvious injury going to an unhook, manage your main event instead and slowly build it up until they unhook

Deerstalker is bad, if you're going to lean into nurses you could use sloppy butcher to slow down their heals. Since you're already kicking gens with nowhere to hide you could use eruption, pop goes the weasel, oppression, unforeseen, or trail of torment. Spies from the shadows is also generally outclassed by other info perks but if you don't have any others it's perfect passable

as you play him more you'll get a better sense of how survivors play and this will let you grow less reliant on those info perks. 1 or 2 is generally normal but no slowdown is going to hurt you. Most people willl tell you that Deerstalker is the worst perk that you have, especially because Knight is one of the only killers that can keep pressure up while NOT slugging. Just drop a guard on a survivor that you see after downing the first survivor and you can pick and hook that first survivor. He's a pretty efficient hooker

Also if your worried about guards downing survivors and you losing them The guards give you killer instinct when they down someone you'll know exactly where they are

Wraith is a simple, relatively beginner friendly killer, legion is also easy to understand and play. Nemesis and Dredge are my personal favourites.

They all do need pretty good understanding of playing as more or less an M1 killer though.

Drop one or the other. You'll likely hit a window/pallet and trigger lithe before the killer gets close enough for a dead hard. Generally 2 exhaustion perks in a build is not a great idea

flashbangs are hard to pull off in chase imo since they have a long timer, they're mostly used to save pickups from my experiance. if u drop a flash as they start picking it goes off in time to get the save, but in chase because of its long timer it needs to be used where the killer cant hear it cuz the pin does make quite the sound

So I've been told multiple times to not 99% gates anymore, except for short time caring about bloodwarden.
I didn't check for where 2nd gate is, opened first, and then realised a teammate is hooked in the furtherst corner from both.
Eventually we leapfrogged hooks closer to gate, team healed up, unhooked me, we all got hit once, 3 escaped and a Lara died on endgame timer while looping Wesker around shack.
I doubt she could get out anyway, but I got flamed for opening the gate early.

Mother's Mirror and Old Newspaper pair well if you want to mindgame pallets, these generally go well with bamboozle and 3 slowdown perks like corrupt intervention, pain resonance, and dead man's switch.

You can run Remote Control with Lethal Pursuer and 3 slowdown perks for a lot of information throughout the match.

You can run Mother's Mirror which pairs nicely with the perk Spies from the Shadows for very good tracking in chase. Generally with 3 slowdown perks.

Both of the aforementioned addons also pair with Bloody Fingernails to convert your projections into chases more easily

You have to remember that your movement buttons are fixed on which every way your character is facing. So if you are looking behind, you are running towards your screen. So on PC you just click ''S'' for a straight run, on Console you just pull the stick towards yourself. And move your camera to face behind. You have to do both of these actions at the same time. Once you get the hang of it, it will be second nature, it is just about hand-eye coordination

On survivor it triggers the hinderance and a scream if you fail to interact with a party chest while in proximity, and I think the totems also do it if you are accepting while the invitation runs out. On Killer I have NO idea what triggers it but I have it happen about 3-4 times a day

True, but this is heavily dependent on where the survivor is at the time. And if you just hit them with Frenzy, they just got a speed boost, so they're most likely near a pallet or window.

they're probably just pathing well, it's not like you can't path just because you're blinded. you can see if it's working or not based on whether or not the perk is lit up or darkened out. If it's lit up, it's working

Let's say you prestige Meg to P1.

All of her perks are immediately available on all other survivors at tier 1 (green).

You can upgrade these perks in the bloodwebs of other characters (Let's say you go to level up Dwight, you can find Meg's three perks in his bloodweb to get them to Tier 2 (Blue) and Tier 3 (Purple).

If you prestige Meg to P2, then her perks are immediately available at level 2, skipping a bit of the upgrade process.

No, that is one of the Anniversary event effects: notice how the timer on the chest icon in the top left corner is ticking down. While in your chase with Lara, you were in the vicinity of a chest (visible to the right at 0:03). When the timer runs out, anyone in the vicinity of a party chest is affected by either a scream (Survivor) or a stun (Killer) which is why the Lara screamed at exactly the same time you were stunned.

It’s going up against insane perks like botany knowledge, it just doesn’t measure up - remember that the early game is the most important stage of the game, having a perk that weakens you there is a tough sell

Because there's no point to seeing it, u used to be able to see the Prestige level of survivors in the pre game lobby but that was also removed so killers couldn't dodge

That's due to the servers that BHVR rents for that area. At most they could rent more servers closer to you, but even then the match could be hosted on servers further away if they provide better average ping to the rest of the players

Survivors aren't like killers, they all function the same, they have no special abilities. Some are a little quieter and have stealthier cosmetics, but that's about it. It's their perks that you want, you can play whoever you like.

Map offerings got a massive nerf recently, they only increase the chances of going to said map by 20% these days. This is really not a lot, you could go many games without seeing it. But given how exploitabe some maps are when you know you're going there beforehand, this was definitely needed to preserve the health of the game.
