Spear is mathematically better in single target, yes. It does still require some additional consideration to make full use of the crit damage buff, but that's a lot easier now than it used to be. For what it's worth though I got a top 100 parse on mythic volcoross using roar so it's not that big a deal

i dont think you can make a macro that complex , but there is one in dps - faq which lets you use slam or whirlwind if certain talent is missing / available

Yeah see I have improved whirlwind and I was comparing the damage on the tooltips, with whirlwind being 49,851 and slam being 81,136. But with whirlwind making my next 4 spells cleave, and generating as much rage as it does, idk if the extra damage would even matter anyway lol

Haven't seen anything fury/warrior specific, but, looking at the few classes on bloodmallet with data, I would say no. Other classes aren't the best judge of something, but with it taking a spark and being rated really low elsewhere I wouldn't place my bets on it
