They just fly past you before you knock the shields down and recharge before yoh circle. But the AoE hits them faster. I just won't use it in freighter battles anymore because I hit cargo pods.

there is a specific order you can do things with a certain impact. ||do phase 1 all of it. do the memory loop parts on phase 2, 3, 4,nothing else. do phase 5 all of it. once this is complete, death no longet loses you progress.|| that's kind of a big spoiler imo although the info is circulating around

example: atonement is best done on the starter planet before you leave
and in this case, it is set up that way so that you can pick and choose among the rest, strategize.

Check the transporter at the space station. Everytime I've checked so far there's bases listed at abandoned buildings that have walls or floor panels or something that make getting the eggs a lot easier. Or just drop a base computer and build walls around the eggs yourself

The way I look at it is this is the best community of any game I've ever seen. Everyone helps. There is no way a person can discover everything in the vastness of this game. I don't know about you but, I traveled all over 2/3 of the states working construction. I didn't just open the door and say I'm going somewhere and keep looking around until I found it. I used a map. I ask people where they found things I like so I can get it and not spend forever trying to find where they found it. I try to do the same in the game. I've spent a lot of hours building and crafting things for other players and helping them do things. Others have done the same for me. I tell them when I do help them all I ask is for you to help others.

I've found out if I stand in the center of the walls the monstrosities may bump me a little but, they leave. Then I can finish that walled off area and just the jet pack to go to the other walled off areas. Since theres already monstrosities running around getting those eggs won't spawn more and I can go to the rest of the walled off areas pretty much trouble free.

Personally I think they should have known a lot of new players and less experienced players was going to do this expedition. I also think they should have done it with a modified survival save instead of a modified permadeath save. It still could have been just as hard but, most likely not caused people to rage quit.

If you go to a few crashed ships you'll get the gloves and the next one will be the economy scanner.

Well, for someone like me this expedition save is going to be my new main save. Already at a similar playtime the expedition save is way ahead of my main save in all categories except 2, which is diversity of mined resource access which is easy to rectify, and until the save conversion, blueprints.
A maximized mini S freighter would be... pretty much a pipe dream on my standard save. That'd take ages. On my expedition save... already been there, done that.

Anyone else playing through the expedition a second time in order to get a good S Class solar ship? (I didn't like the look of my first expedition solar - it has that beaver tooth looking front grille).
(My main save is permadeath, I'd like to switch over to survival for my future main save).

That why I like this expedition so much. For me, the most fun part of this game is starting with very little and building up to a few great ships, good upgrades, etc. So, in a way, dying and restarting is more fun than me having 30 bases and 100,000,000 units, or whatever

It started as S class, but the inventory slots were added by working my way through the expedition. It will make a very nice non-expedition ship for me.

the idea is that if you die early and have to go back through
you want to cut out a lot of extra time on the redo
so bases right next to things you need
like
a base someplace (ideally, near portal) on each anchor point world
a base near a chrashed freigher, one near a sentinel pillar, one near an abandoned building, etc etc
and you don't need teleporters in those to get to the base

first off at any space station on the route there may be player bases by some, look for that in the name
if you don't want to do that, there's another wya

gather 6 navigational data
go to the cartographer at any space station and buy 6 maps
go to the planet of your choice and open each map: do NOT visit the "wrong" locations
if a map gives you an error, wait a few seconds and try again, eventually it will give you something
when you get the crashed freighter, go to it
to avoid bugouts, try setting options->network->multiplayer off before going to it

It usually takes me 20-30s to pull all 6 markers with either commercial or emergency charts - I do it while coasting in my ship too high to land so I dont accidentally hop out and waste any time.
I look at it like Yahtzee, the first roll always gives me something I need, but when I'm down to needing a 6, it can take a dozen or so rolls to hit it.

I've never had take-off issues with mp on. I happened to park right in front of a giant structure and I feel disabling mp wouldn't have helped

I've had launch soft locks a number of times actually, but for me they were never mp related. I would always get them consistently from one landing position, but summoning the ship a few meter over would fix it just as consistently.

next time, when a base does that, remember that there's an option in your quick menu to report (the closest) base

Any planet with extreme storms will do, and you can also get them as rewards from missions especially in Outlaw systems.

how about saving and reloading your save? maybe you can lose some attention? i'm sorry i'm not at that step so i'm not sure what else you can try. maybe dig a hole too, to get away from them, so you can get to another spot where you can mine the materials needed? make sure to do lots of manual saving in the process. and the instant you see you may die, close the game (after doing a manual save) so you can reload it, before becoming swiss cheese
