You can only send items to the main save if you started the expedition from the main save. When you are done you put stuff into the expedition terminal before closing the expedition. This isn't possible if you created a new save file to play the expedition.

I don't think so because even though the saves are linked they are still technically separate and the expedition isn't permadeath. But you should back up your save files before doing something dangerous just in case. But you should be safe in the expedition.

Is there anyway to actually get a response from HG or get something fixed that went wrong in game? At the end of my expedition when I clicked end expedition all that I was credited for was the distance walked, none of the cargo was tallied up and credited. None of the animals I adopted, none of the words I learned, none of the LY traveled. Not even my nanites or units was transferred over. The only thing I got from the expedition was the rewards from quicksilver merchant, the cargo I was able to bring back and the distance walked credited. Im at a loss of what to do.

You can report bugs and send feedback but you should not expect a reply. They very rarely reply...almost never. And words learned were never intended to transfer, nor any of the pets you adopted, etc. At the end of the expedition you get units, nanites, and your bases from the expedition...those transfer automatically. Then from the expedition terminal on your main save you can pay nanites to import the ship and multitool from the expedition into your main save. That's it.

And stuff you put in the expedtion terminal when you finish...that stuff transfers too.

The last expedition I was credited for like 10+ things at the end when I clicked end expedition. I literally was only credited or given credit for distance walked. Idk it feels like i was robbed of everything I did for the expedition even if I got the rewards the journey is just as important as the destination. Even though I got my cargo stuff transferred to main save it was a big let down not to see any of the stats like I had the previous expedition ending.

To be honest units, nanites, and everything else are not hard to make. Transfering like 10-30 million units and a few thousand nanites is pocket change that's very easy and very fast to make. I always keep my units maxed out at 4.29 billion. You really haven't missed out on much of anything.

Its the visual validity to the time spent, the stats are important for me. Maybe im a weirdo about it but its like wow thats how much I was able to achieve or discover. Makes it feel like a more comprehensive of an ending idk.

The validity is the collection of unique rewards you can only have by completing this expedition. A few million units and a few thousand nanites are meaningless crap that nobody else will notice or care.

I care though 😭 I can dupe or use a save editor to get anything but the time I spent being visually laid out in different areas is meaningful to me lol. I guess I'm the only person this happened to and how ironic I guess I'm the only one who cares 😭🤣

My automated farms produce the materials for 120 stasis devices per day...that's ~1.8 billion units per day....and I have farmed 15.5 million nanites...plus whatever I spent in the past which was also several million nanites and countless billion units...in total throughout my main save I spent at least 5 million nanites over the years. The stats from those currencies even the game gave up on tracking long ago.

The end time is the same for everyone and the reason in game says 1 day is because the rounding low-balls the number so if there is 1 day 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds left then the in-game counter will round it to 1 day while the bot here rounds up at over 36 hours it will say aprox 2 days and under 36 hours it will say aprox 1 day. But the end time is identical regardless of how you round it and it is singular globally...the end time does not change based on country, continent, time zone, or anything else...the expedition ends at the same moment for everyone no matter what hour it is in your region.

Nah, that's just telling you that you can play the expedition from the main save. But if you go to the quicksilver bot you should be able to collect all the expedition rewards.

There is no where to sell any mods for nanites etc with no npcs; you have standard terminals on the right side going into the station to sell normal items; if you're having inventory issues build more interior corvette modules or discard them

the log is a little tiny piece floating a waysoff from the two main parts of the wreck. you gotta use the scanner (scan like you scan a planet from space), then look around for the blue and white buried tech icon somewhere away from the wreck

the log is literally the only piece you need for the milestone (but you might as well get the free parts while you're there)

well if you have multiplayer on I would recommend turning it off, and try again

well mp off, warp away, save exit reload, try there. you can in fact fire off all the debris rangefinders one at a time and collect the logs in an abitrary system

Alternatively, players found Gashi 69/B4 moon in Nasuda-Wase Timestamp V system to have a suitable floater. Let floaters come to you, don't chase them, keep aiming up. I completed the expedition for a third time on a new save; i just hope it continues to let me trade debris finders with other players. In the past, I've had old expedition saves magically lose their ability to trade special items with other players, like the blood virals from the 2024 October expedition

But if this one holds, I'll have an infinite source of debris finders to give to other players without having to dupe/cheat

By the way, did anyone encounter a weird bug when pulse driving in the rendezvous 5 system? My dumbass didn't take a picture because I panicked and restarted the game, worried that the save was corrupted. But basically, while pulsing in first person mode, I suddenly stopped moving but continued to use fuel, and the ETA to the planet was a very large negative number, like the floating point limit. When I switched to third person, the screen went black but the UI still worked. Going into warp view showed a galaxy with no stars but I could still warp to the invisible stars, but if I did, I got stuck in a permanent black screen that required a full restart. Reloading the save didn't fix it unless I exited the game

@remote thunder is this a known issue? I have over 1k hours and have never seen it happen before. This was with no mods installed

You have time. I completed it 3 times and each attempt only took about 2 to 3 hours

Just double check the planets in every rendezvous system because each one has at least one of the milestones you need excluding the rendezvous itself

I.e, the third rendezvous system has an infested planet, the 4th one is a gas giant, and the 5th one has a ruined planet with bones and a moon with anomaly creatures

2nd rendezvous has an ocean world for getting the 1k depth milestone

If for some reason the depth isn't 1k but say, close to it at like 800 or 900, you can dig the rest of the way down to get the milestone

Yeah yeah and i think Odoo looper is underrated one in nms i think. He keeps it simple and doesn't recommend any glitch etc to keep things slow and enjoy

The community mission unlocks are for everyone but they cost quicksilver. You have to pay quicksilver at the quicksilver bot to obtain those items. There's no time limit on them either. You should take a look at the quicksilver shop, there is A LOT of stuff there.

If you truly want a lot of space to yourself without the hassle of trying to play completely offline, get far away from Euclid and Eissentam, there are 255 legitimately accessible galaxies in the game but most players never leave Euclid and of those that do most hang out in 3 or 4 other galaxies. There are over 200 galaxies literally nobody ever speaks of.

Technically twice but only once each way. You decide what to send to the expedition before you start and that's it. No more sending inventory in. And at the end of the expedition you can decide what to send back to the main save, once you close the expedition that's it.

You can import a good ship and MT into the expedition at the cost of 2-3k nanites each and they come with all their installed tech. MT might be worth it as there is a lot of ground combat in this expedition but you don't need much of anything for the ship...this expedition is abandoned mode so no threats or combat in space. The expedition gives you an S class hyperdrive module...install and supercharge it...that'll give you all the jump range you need for this expedition...rendezvous points are close to each other.

Atlas themed Corvette parts you can claim from the Anomaly on main save and they give you blueprints so you can always craft more of them. If you have regular corvette parts you found you really like I'd say prioritize sending those because you can't just craft them at will. Upgrades modules only you would know...you have to know what you have on the main save, how good all of it is, and whether any of the modules from the expedition are better or worth it.

at r2 (the water planet), be prepared to build and deploy the nautilonright there, instead of going off to to the second appearance of the corvevtte wreck. reason: at the rend. location, the depth is > 1001 u and that will save you time hunting around for a spot

if you put off adopting a floating critter until r5, there's a planet in that system that works (see pins in here), saves you from going off the route to find one

you don't have to kill the giant beetle that appears once you crush the vile grub, just leave in your ship, once out of range the milestone will pop just fine

you can kill the worm babies on the r3 planet "giumf" from your ship, just get close to 'em and use ship weapons

these are the things where people take more time than they need to, imo. AND ALSO

MULTIPLAYER OFF

It took me about five hours of play and six and a half hours total when I did the expedition on day one without any tips, help, or guides beyond what pinning the milestones offered. Now there are all kinds of guide out to where you could very comfortably do it in less than three hours.
