Been in a loading screen for a long time?

You're most likely trying to warp or teleport to a system (e.g. a Expedition Rendezvous system) with lots of uploaded player bases, which is increasing the loading times considerably, depending on network connection speed. An issue reported by multiple players, some having to wait 15min and some longer than that.

Workaround:

Quit game, go offline platform side (not just disabling multiplayer in game, not just offline on friends list), launch game and try reaching the same system again.

Note: After finally being able to reach the affected system(s), you can go online again.

Yep - landings have been a huge cluster. I just died because I landed in an underground water cave with no water that looked like normal land, and it damaged my ship. Not sure what is going on, but it's been messed up from the get go.

yeah it was strange cus ive never had that issue happen until now. As for the strange water landings i noticed that too. MY ship was clearly on land, but everything was splashing around and i still couldnt get out

remember that creatures have to be at ease (as in, cannot be predators around, or player mining stuff), and should not be harvested for produce while you wait. i honestly did it with a group of 5 or 6 fauna, and just threw a pellet on the ground.

but how long do you have to wait cause its been at least a few minutes and there are some quite big creatures so i doubt i'd miss the dung with their size

i'd suggest disabling multiplayer first, since that will make the game pause when in photo mode. a picture like this should work just fine, remember that we can move the sun in photo mode. depending on platform, there might be specific steps to be used to get the game to register screenshot.

HELP! im in a dillemma...

So I started Expedition 18 the other night on my main save, unfortunately I sold my first ship (explorer) after rescuing and repairing a different ship (fighter). I then sold my original ship (explorer) which had the hyperdrive in it without realizing that the new ship (fighter) did not have the hyperdrive in it. To make things worse, I never got the blueprint for the Hyperdrive and I don't have access to the Anomaly yet. I also cannot progress in the expedition because I need to be able to warp... because the only ship I have now is the fighter without a hyperdrive... is there anyway I can go back and fix this or somehow move forward without losing everything from when I first started the game on the only save I have?

does anyone know of a way to fix this?

If I start a new save and then access the anomaly in the new save, will I be able to merge with my main save? or would I forever have to go with that save and move forward?

Depending on funds available I would buy another starship with a hyperdrive - wouldn't need to be an expensive one to get you on your way.

I would scrap and sell that C class then sit in the space station with the B class and look for a smaller cheaper shuttle or explorer grade ship. You should have the units to afford one after scrapping that busted hauler.

Just do not buy until you are sure it has at least a basic hyper drive

if you're on steam, you could switch to experimental branch

that said, there's some notes to go along with it/before you do

well yes, i wouldnt sell that ship ever unless you already have the blueprint to install the hyperdrive tech in another ship, cause none of the others have the hyperdrive meaning you need to install one on ever ship after...

i sold my ship before i unlocked the blueprint for the hyperdrive, not realizing the other ships didnt have a hyperdrive in it

OK - so I looked at a slew of ships and none of them had the hyperdrive. Went to the Anomaly and picked up the blueprint for - get this - 1 nanite - now ships are showing up with the drive.

there's 2 kinds of bonefish at least that will count for the milestone;
a) one type only spawns in toxic biome planets, but can spawn at any time, day or night
b) the other t ype spawns in all biomes that can have water, but only during night time

just need to have bones on resource list basically, toxic makes it so there's 2 fish you can find, all the time

I just finished the expedition... it says I caught 29 total fish. Shadow Lures on the toxic planet in I think Dig 3 system? There is deep water there, and some helpful bases to hang out in and fish.

Shadow Lure catches "night" fish at any time, so fishing on toxic you "double dip" both bonefish on every cast

Yeah, every bit of info I see, says that specific lures wont let you catch fish outside of their proper situations, unless that has changed very recently. I DO know there are some twilight moments when day and night are swapping, that I've caught day or night fish when it seemed the opposite, but wasnt even using day or night bait at the time

But unless you have a specific source that says otherwise, I think you're mistaken on that

You just need to package them and then place them in the expedition terminal once youre wrapped up with the expansion to bring the items back to your main save - this will only work if i am remembering correctly, if your expediton save file is the same as your main save file - if that makes sense.

A "photo" requires using the camera and clicking that when framed.

a) one type only spawns in toxic biome planets, but can spawn at any time, day or night
b) the other type spawns in all biomes that can have water, but only during night time
try with and without baits, if during night time can try magpulse lure.

gtk; well, you can chose whether to complete exp started from new character, that will still get you the account wide unlocks. you can just return to primary on the other existing save, hop back on expedition after the devs patch it.

alternatively ofc, if you have mp support, you could get taxied to each of the rendezvous planets, but you'll probably run into issues with the collect fossil milestones anyway (others did ran into issues there)

get bones from a suitable planet in a different system, then teleport back to rdv4 and return to dig site 4

you don't necessarily need any, but you can try various approaches: no bait, rarity bait, nocturnal bait if fishing at night time, even diurnal bait (if on toxic biome planet) has worked for some players. as long as planet has bones on resource list, you should be fine and it should eventually drop.

if you moved away from expedition route area of the galaxy/you're not sure where you are, i suggest teleporting back to rendezvous 1, then making sure expedition route pathline is selected in the galaxy map - remember to look for its yellow icon
