A stack of expensive items to sell makes a lot of early game difficulties disappear. Like Wiring Looms, which have to be bought at a cost difficult to afford in the early parts of an expedition. Sell a stack of Fusion Igniters or Stasis Devices, and you'll never have to worry about units.

Admittedly, I also took salvaged frigate modules, and then spent some of my funds getting a freighter so I could take advantage of mobile storage. I tend to be a pack rat.

dissonance resonators aren't normal sentinels, they're stationary, and their spawn locations fixed - so if you can't see any dissonance resonator icons within 1000u, then simply keep moving in the same direction, like NSEW you pick

Discovery entries only outline planets youve surveyed, also, the first system was likely the first purple star system you visited. A little headwork is usually required but its all in there. It's worth some time to get familiar with ... but its not urgent. Just don't do what I did and ignore it initially.

you should actually accept the ship in your expedition character; that expedition character is the one that unlocks the ship account wide

then all other characters, including the primary save character you started this expedition character from, can claim the ship from the qs shop

now, later, doesn't matter, even new saves under the same account will be able to

I found a water planet that was almost 3000u deep that was never discovered, used the sub's radar and it found sunken freighter on other side of planet

aka, no sunken freighters spawned on the 2nd rdv water planet

you can do expedition as many times as you want on different saves. If you finished last expedition, then it is normal. just finish that, collect rewards, then leave anomaly, maybe also go through any portal and summon anomaly again so it will reset and show you next expedition

main save ups:

• your bases transfer to main save
• you get money and nanites based on things you did
• you can transfer some items and technology
• downside is that all your ships and items are only converted, they are not synced
  if you think those points are worth then you can switch
  ups of new game:
• everything you earned on expedition stays with you afaik, you can still claim rewards on other saves

In short if you like expedition save and items you got there more, stay there

I suggest for you to tp to "rendezvous station" if you can, or somewhere close, maybe you can see other bases there, someone might have built base there as well

Have to wait and hope for the best. Generally expeditions only get one reliable second shot at the end of the year they released in or january the following year but beyond that older redux are really sparse...so far only two expeditions older than that have had another run so generally it is best to try not to miss any.

You are better off playing in cockpit view to have the system minimap on the dashboard visible...then you can align yourself with a moon an pulse in its general direction without having to blindly guess where they are since only one or two at best will be in view at any given time.

The game also gives you the warp hypercore blueprint fairly early on and you have to collect some storm crystals from a gas giant anyway...just antimatter + storm crystal = full tank of fuel.

Yeah, it completed all the RDV milestones for me as well. My friend, who did the same thing as me, didn’t have the issue. He could complete it without any major bugs. Interesting haha!

Ah, you need to name a discovery of your own. Try to warp off to the side away from the path to the next rendezvous point for a few jumps. Though playing the expedition from a main save an importing a well upgraded ship into the expedition would be a huge help.

1400 nanites is nothing in the scheme of things...completing fauna scans on a planet with 6 creatures pays 1500 nanites. You'll still be able to get the ship from the quicksilver bot on your main save but frankly, I prefer to import ship rewards to the main save so they remain available to be claimed in the QS bot menu...that way if I decide to move on from them at some point I can reclaim later.

Yeah that could confuse new players. You need faecium, the fastest way to obtain it is to feed any fauna some creature pallets and wait for a bit...they will drop it on the ground. Gross, I know...but needs must. I would advise against eating the food afterwards though.

I didn't encounter any hostile underwater creatures, but I think you should really get the Nautilon before you attempt the 1k dive. Being in a submersible means you aren't running out of oxygen and not getting crushed by the pressure, only getting out to harvest sea glass

For pressure you should stay in the nautilon most of the time. Only briefly jump out to grab a sea glass. And make sure you have the membrane installed in your suit. And the nautilon can go down and up really fast so diving or surfacing shouldn't be a problem. Plus this whole thing shouldn't take more than 10 minutes. If the rendezvous planet is a problem for depth just warp to other purple systems until you find another ocean planet...most go well over 1000u before you hit bottom. You can try to dig the ground down near rendezvous point on the planet but if it doesn't work in a couple of tries just go elsewhere.

personally, making use of the miniradar in ship first person view makes it a whole lot easier, since it will also show moons

Use cockpit view to see the system map on the dashboard and pulse from moon to moon until you get them all. Shouldn't be too hard.

You can place it down for free...the game gives you a free floating bay you can place down...then you can dismantle it for 100% resource refund and you can re-craft it and dismantle as many times as you want. You don't even have to gather resources to make it.

On the starter planet there were lots of little dust devils with rocks. The only way I knew it was an actual tornado was when I heard the wind kick up. I turned around and it was coming for me. I did a melee boost, went through it, and got the milestone.

can lead to issues like these, where network data about an interaction is synced between players, preventing others from getting it. i suggest disabling it, save, return to main menu, and try again. if needed, use nautilon again to scan for another freighter (quick menu scan)

From as near as I can tell, the best way to play the game involves setting things where you can't even see bases or names that have been put in by other people, let alone interact with them.

So the moment you see something that suggests anyone other than you is playing, you're going to have the whole game crash.

waiting on a friend to start, but I have a question about this Expedition and the new quest for Purple systems added by the new update:

I heard that if you were to start a new save for the Expedition and then convert it to normal, In Stellar Multitudes won't be available (by the time you get to it) due to the Expedition already unlocking the systems for you
Does the same apply to existing saves? If I finish the expedition on a save that hasn't started the new mission, then wrapped it up and transferred everything back and all, would the converted potential bases count Purple systems as unlocked? I don't wanna miss out on the new mission but also wanna do the Expedition on my current save that isn't to that point yet
(sorry if this was the wrong channel, if I should move it to the help channel let me know! I just thought it was more Expedition related so would fit better here)

I usually save between putting items in the terminal and swapping to my main save. But that may just be because I'm paranoid.

You can purchase your active ship at the terminal on your main save. You can do this after ending the expedition OR by swapping to your main save and interacting with the expedition terminal.

Yeah those! Guess that one was discovered if it didn't let you do any of that. Usually the undiscovered ones will say "Unknown Sector" when you are about to interact with them

Disable multiplayer save and reload your game. Tornado comes to you within 5 minutes. Just be careful, those can throw you to the ground and kill you instantly

The gas giant starter planet is called somethine like "Skate" You should not be too far from it and it will show as "visited". Worth not losing that planet. Several milestones can be achieved there, not least the fishing one!

If you take your main save to the expedition via the anomaly terminal yes you can send stuff back and get things from it. If you make a new save no that converts into an extra normal save at expedition end not your main save. Either way you can get expedition rewards via quicksilver vendor on your main save though.

Pretty easy this one, had fun, was really cool seeing the new oceans. Hardest part was convincing the game to spawn a tornado for that one step, lolz. Spent literal hours just sitting and roaming both the first and second gas giants before one spawned, it was the last step I finished

You can always see how long is left on the save selection screen. If your in an Expedition it'll say how long it has left. Same on the New Game screen where you'd select to start a new Expedition character

u can get a copy of ur ship from ur main save, if it has an atlantid drive u can do that
