Well the moon thing is definitely a bug, just went back to all 5 moons, wrote them down as I went, scanned them multiple times from different distances in space and got out at all of them, still 4/5 visited

To have the Expedition Photo mission register on PS5, aside from being on the right type of planet:

• In Photo Mode
• Use the 'Share' button, depending on how you have it configured. Hold to snap a shot or single press.
• If configured to single press for a screenshot and hold to get the screenshot menu. You need to be in that menu to use the middle option to snap a shot. otherwise it won't register.

When it says 'survey all the moons', what exactly does it mean by survey? I'm in RDV3, there's 5 moons, I've landed on each one and scanned at least a couple of the flora & fauna on every one of them, but the counter is still stuck at 4/5

Hey all, I have a problem with the photo step of Phase 2. I reached Rendezvous 2 but forgot to take a photo, and went back off to other planets in the same system to do the other stuff (get storm crystals, cook food etc.). My log is telling me to go to a planet by name in a system by name that don't match the one I'm in (the one I know is correct because I built a base on the planet).

Any suggestions? Should I just move to phase 3 (which I see on the galaxy map) and try to come back? (I tried going through a portal, but it says I'm in the correct system "Current system")

Otherwise all the mostly water planet I've found have some areas 1200 -1400. Regular planets with just some water don't in my experience

Finally found a reddit post with a solve that worked. If you’re on a console, open the photo mode in NMS, then open the console’s photo mode. Take a photo using the console photo mode and prepare to share the picture (you don’t actually have to), then exit both photo modes. Credit to

No you can just start an expedition from your current save and can go back any time at the space anomaly. As far as i know is that you get the rewards only if you do it in the same save.

Any unlockables are unlocked on all saves on the account, redeemable at the QuickSilver vendor. You can send other items (aside from pet eggs) back to your primary save, and you can also copy your active ship/multitool to your main save. The item transferring and multitool/ship copying can be done multiple times after you finish all the required milestones (but before clicking "End Expedition" at the terminal) by switching to your primary save in the pause menu.

You have to warp 25 times in any system in a row, each warp has to be for 20 seconds. Do that without aa break in-between. Then goto a planet and go underground and scan with your scanner ie a radius sweep scan. It should appear

There is no risk because the expedition save is a different save.

This is why you have to go through all the trouble of copying items, multitools and ships over. They actually don't have anything in place to copy a freighter over.

if you just logged on for the first time after the 5.57 patch got to your machine, you should restart the game completely one more time, and load again. then try again using nautilon's quick menu/scan for buildings function. if it didn't work first try, you can just try moving to another area of the planet, resummon nautilon and try again - exocrafts have limited range after all. that said, if after two tries it doesn't work still, then no need to worry, can just complete that milestone in a later system, skip fathoms below for now

any spot with an antenae like that you can rename. chances are nobody found it yet. because there are millions on a planet

their game glitched -- they're not the only ones to experience that, seen other reports, and completed all reach rendezvous milestones from each and every phase, meaning that they have no way to get their galaxy map to mark systems they haven't been to

since you wont' have enough range to make it there with one warp, you'll just have to follow expedition route pathline out of the starter system, making multiple warps to get there
