Nope. Anywhere you find plants underwater, you should find cytophosphate. It’s an essential fuel component, so anywhere a Nautilon can launch, you should be able to find it.

If you’re having a hard time finding certain materials, you can wander a far way away in distance, but materials also change with depth.

Carbon is also one of those essential resources that must spawn on all planets. HG’s generation ensures you can’t be soft-locked anywhere.

I am honestly not sure what I do exactly. I know I clean up on nanites in expeditions. There's uploading discoveries, turnong things in on the anomaly, binuses for scanning all of the creatures on a planet.

Have it equipped when you tranfer back to main save. In main save at the terminal, there will be an option to copy it for nanites.

Well, I figured out what to bring for anyone hasn't started this expidition yet. At leest 200k each of Living Pearls and Crystal Sulphide. When you realize you don't have enough in your exosuit, the planet you're on has all the sources two parsecs under a solid surface.

Look for drop pods so you can refine the metal scraps. Also look for caves (your scanner can see subterranean relics you can dig to). I got dropped in a mountainous area so I had ferrite all around me.

After installing my two S class scanner upgrades the next creature I scanned finished my quest. It shouldn't be too hard, but if you get unlucky with the stats, make sure your upgrades have +fauna units%. You can go to space stations to see if they have more S class scanner upgrades.

could be. I did have trouble with my freighter. I got lucky and got a S class system freighter the first battle. When I scanned it later it showed a C class and when I reloaded and scanned it again it showed a B class. When I check inventory it still shows S class though.

I also have an issue with planets reporting to have activated quartzite and when I land on them it's only quartzite.

Bugs are not just code problems, bugs are problems with development and accessability. You have a recognized disorder and are playing a SPACE exploration game where diving into deep water would not be an expectation. You are unable to continue or participate in the event due to this.

It is a design oversight.

Sure they are. Can't progress without climbing high mountains, exploring caves. They simply can't avoid EVERYTHING that is a phobia. Everything in the entire game is a phobia to someone.

Not required. You can work around most things. This one is required to progess in this expedition.

Fly to Adtow (Aquatic Planet / Meeting 2) take the Nautilus and dive deep to the bottom. There you will find large glowing objects collect them (get out> collect> back into the Nautilus) This is the Sea glass

We will just have to agree to disagree. I'm a big proponent of accommodating people, but having thalassophobia to the point where you can't play a video game is pretty rare. If that was the only phobia the game could trigger, sure, spend the time to make a work around but there are probably a hundred other phobias this game triggers in a small group of people and you just can't work around them all. I'd be happy if the devs fixed it, but I understand why they put their limited time into other things.

If you play on a separate save then it will be converted to a normal mode save and if you played it from a main save then you transfer everything you wanted to the main save after which the expedition save is erased but you keep all the rewards.

Weird. Just got the Pilliar of Titan reward, and it renamed my current multi-tool to Pillar of Titan and the actual rewarded multitool is called ALexand-w. This a known bug? I know the multitool rewards been bugged.

A quick, little bit of advice. I'm sure people already know but at the end you get the new wraith ship. Before ending exp at the terminal package up those S class mods on the new ship and take them with you at terminal to your normal save and use them on the other wraith you get from quicksilver guy.

You can just import the whole ship with the modules installed to the main save. But those S modules aren't good. None of them have great rolls. I scrubbed the Wraith clean of all that junk and installed all the proper modules I had on my old living ship in it.

You can do that but the point of it being is the wraith has like you said some bad mods and some good. It also only has 2 mods on some of the guns. So you can replace bad ones with better and max out the others

Its not normal, The Cursed Expedition was the last one in a re-run of previous expeditions and since there were issues the expedition was extended so folk could finish it. Otherwise the latest Expedition #17 would have started earlier.

Hint for those who are shot a few hundreds nanites, from the milestone for earning 7200 nanites.
You can earn nanites through fishing:

• catch some fish
• reelase them back into water -> this gives nanites 🙂 usually about 30 - 50 per regular fish, but some better ones can give you more nanites (one rare that I released giave me almost 500)

there's a few milestones that reward s-class scanner module; you can simply do those and claim them, then install the s-class modules, and scan any creature, and it should hit that 90k or even more in a single scan; just note that s-class module after installed must have +%fauna unit rewards stat

e.g rdv4, phase 5 surveyor of worlds milestone

we have everything we need on the systems and planets we go through for the rendezvous milestones: from milestone rewards to inhabited space stations and trade terminals/npc pilots and the anomaly, even just strolling through it will get you to completion on average around 3-6h. given that there's a month left for exp17 to end... there's no real need to rush anywhere, although if you do, you can get it done in probably 2h, if you start from existing save and bring the mats needed to bypass searching

I think it shouldn't matter how far from that point you are, as long as you are on the planet - the issue was that freighters weren't spawning on that planet at all. And we all had to look for them at other water planet (those that were shallow enough)

I'm an app developer manager and based on their release cadence they probably play pretty fast and loose on the whole testing side of things. Which is fine. It's a game not enterprise software. I support their decisions it gets us releases incredibly fast

Oh yeah - if you notice Sulphaide on your scanner on a gas giant - that's 100% cave with water. Go there, dig a hole if you can't get to it from the surface, use the terrain flattening tool, to probably give yourself some surface to stand on, and potentially expand the body of the ater. Cast your rod and voila.

Why would a freighter not crash on a water world ? Theoretically ot could still fall from the orbit (for whatever reason - like engine failure and being sucked in by the planet's gravity well), crash in the ocean and sink to the watery grave below....

you have to go to the Discoveries tab, click a planet in the tab on the left - click the "pen" icon on the screen, type new name, voila.
HOWEVER - you will only be able to rename yourown discoveries. AKA stuff you discovered before anyone else had a chance to... Every time you click on aplanet inDiscovery tab, you can see which player was it discovered by.

So if you do not have any discoveries that are yours. then the best thing to do is to:

• leave it till the end (after last randezvous )
• once you complete everything else, go to galaxy view,
  • use free travel
  • travel to a system way off from the expedition trail , chances are it will be undiscovered (aka not visited by anyone yet)
  • land on any planet in such a system
  • exit craft
  • open discoveries tab in the menu
  • rename the planet to whatever you want
  • upload your discovery (there is a button for that)

Can someone help me understand the purpose of communications beacons laid down by other travelers in an expedition? They're usually points of interest like maybe a crashed ship, but is there someway to tell what they are without going to one? Seems like low utility to mark them

Haha yeah - this is something that is common in each expedition, sometimes, you can find bases built right where something rare, difficult to find is located. And you can get there even i fyou alredy left the system.... Go to a station,a nd use a teleporter (assuming - the person who uilt it, built a teleporter as well)
