So question, if I am stuck at the 3rd portal bug, hypothetically, if I were to buy NMS on Steam and run the "experimental" version could I complete the expedition (or at least get far enough to where I wouldnt be blocked anymore on Game Pass for PC) within 2hrs?

Start a new Save, choose Expedition. When loaded in, make sure to follow the main expedition quest. Players have made base locations for every step basically so if you so not see the bases once you get the ship flying, make sure you are online connected.

I would state that Hello Games is probably in the top-five developers that listens to players and is very serious about improving the game experience. That last huge 20GB update included some code they created for Light No Fire, and they wanted to share it with No Man's Sky players, for example.

They're the big ones. Find one of those giant purple extractor things by using your Visor Scanner, then start attacking the small corrupted sentinals. The big ones will eventually show up.

Then you can just hop in your ship and blow them up.
