In the Galaxy Map, below the star system name, you can find the spectral class letter:

• F & G = Yellow (copper/activated copper)
• K & M = Red (cadmium/activated cadmium)

Colour blind filters are available in Options > General Options > Galaxy Map Colour Filter.

that's because sentinel crashed ship sites can override seeded supercharged slot layout (which you get when you class upgrade). meaning that you could find a combo of site+seed that indeed upgrades to 4 in a square, but no guarantees

they arent actual enemies. they look like large drills and their icons show up on the compass. If you have the launch fuel the easiest way is to probably fly around to find them, hop out, check to see what they drop, and destroy them or move on.

If you follow some of the YouTube guides that will come in the coming days, they can help shorten the process. It’s not unreasonable to complete many expeditions in around 4-5hrs, sometimes RNG is cruel, but if you take longer than 10h, you’re likely taking a scenic route. (Which is fine, if you can afford the time and still finish).

Are you talking about the phase 1 egg? Not a bug. You can't claim it at the QS vendor because it's not an expedition egg. It's just a random creature egg. Phases 2-5's eggs are all past expedition rewards, which is why they can be claimed from the vendor.

Odd thing if anyone can comment...... Ive been trying to complete the optional planet documentation missions for the eggs. A couple of days ago, despite not finding everything for system 1, I got the achievement after giving up and cominb back after a few hours. Today, after trying really hard on system 2 but not finding everything, I log in now to find I am awarded the achievement. Whats going on?????

Firstly you dont need to take anything, but some Oxygen, ferrite dust, stuff you can sell for cash and maybe something you can trate for nannites, will help you spend less time shooting rocks 😉

you'll just go to anomaly, qs shop, click collect expedition rewards

and find rewards on the list and claim them to add them to that save

I am Phase 4 and it seems harder than the last redux and I am spending a LOT more time looking for all the little things I didn't know in advance. Finding airless planets...cactus...etc.

cactus flesh can be harvested from any barren world, it will list cactus something in the resources for the planet; the airless planet is harder, but #nms-expedition message has a pointer

there isn't really a way to generate a list of everything, ask here when you get stuck

@wraith venture , @shy dagger there's a couple things to consider with expedition 12. 1) there's huge quicksilver rewards here, 10800qs from milestones alone, if we include optional milestones. 2) starborn runner comes with photonix core pulse engine tech, which cannot be learned by new saves (used to be limited edition ps4 or day1 patch tech only), so a player might decide they want to get multiple copies of starborn runner into their primary saves to get multiple copies of packaged photonix core

started from existing save, right? so two options to get atlas scepter onto main save.
a) guaranteed, if you complete all milestones from phase 3, and claim phase 3 reward: at any point after that, goto quicksilver shop in main save (or in any other save under the same account), collect expedition rewards, it will be there.
b) complete and claim all milestones, phase rewards, claim final expedition reward, the optionals too when they're done, equip atlas scepter before going to expedition terminus in the anomaly to and+finish expedition. once back in primary, go interact with expedition terminus again, take items out, copy atlas scepter.

even with b), it will still be available in the qs shop in any save under the same account
