I’m doing the icy veins/catch 5 uncommon fish. I only got credit for 1. Every uncommon fish I catch afterwards doesn’t register. I went to someone else’s base that’s a freezing planet with water.

There are two different fish types in the catch pool. The binome specific fish and the all-binome fish that can be caught anywhere. You're probably catching a lot of general uncommon, not ice ones.

And if start expe from Primary Save on Anomaly, be careful of accidentally clicking the End Expedition before putting items on the stash

You can transfer all of ur expe items (except eggs, quest items) , by putting items on stash, and then Return to Primary Save through Esc below save reload thingy

Reading ahead helps do milestones easily or together with another milestone. You're not restricted to when they can be done (most).

Yeah I usually double-check here that there aren't any easily-findable warnings of "make sure you do this in this order because otherwise the expedition will be way more difficult for you" and beyond that I just do the milestones as they come lol

only swamp biome planets can have faecium or mordite in resource list; not all swamp biome planets have faecium on resource list; furthermore, swamp biome planets aren't always toxic hazard, there's heat variations as well

iow, if your fleet is weak at trading, and finds a trade encounter in a combat expedition, it can most likely fail that encounter

I have the singularity role because I started that expedition but I was too new to the game at the time and never finished it or got any of the rewards

I take nothin with me on expeditions anyway, i like it that way, usually i only take with me food to turn into cronus for nanites so i can copy multi-tool and ship at the first anomoly, you get those nanites back also which is cool
