I think you just have to catch them on any planet when your purple meter is 50% or below.

Okay it gives you an option to copy an address for a portal so that you can enter in the address to go back to that system right I copied an address of a system I was in and I'm trying to go back to it from a different system which you cannot do without taking a screenshot which I did not know so I'm asking if there's an way to get an address if you do not have it because it doesn't tell you because the get address doesn't actually add to anything

It's kind of annoying that the show address doesn't add it to your known systems and let you access different addresses that you've discovered

you can go into the discovery tab, pin the planet as a wonder, then go to the wonders tab and you'll have glyphs for it. but if it's an expedition system, the glyphs for all of those are pinned in here

afaik elixir of quicksilver can locate portal for you in normal save

i have trouble finding the Portals via the Elixirs. The notes say to craft the Elixirs and that should be sufficient to show me where a portal is? Is that correct?
But when I craft I do not see any Portal icon appear when I do a scan. So I am quite confused.

This is a very iffy suggestion because it did not work four times in a row

you have to make sure that you're in a deep water source to begin with and then it works

The four times that I tried this I was in Normal water and it only went down 30 meters after digging

Even tried it once in an ocean and it still didn't work so I spent time looking for an area that was by default like 40 meters and then was able to dig the additional space

Set herald as your active ship in exp. Go to settings and chose go back to main save. U can copy last used ship in exp from exp terminal on main save. So u dont have to use up the qs shop redeem.

U can copy it multiple times but trick only works when exp is active.

keep trying to locate resonators - some of them will be guarded by large spiders. alternatively, you could unlock and build minotaur, and unlock+install radar array tech on it: this will let you scan for secure buildings, which on corrupted planets should sometimes have large spiders guarding them

paralysis mortar and voltaic amplifier multitool techs combined with your primary weapon of choice can help you make short work of them, in relative safety - a stunned enemy can't attack back, but takes +21% damage from you because of voltaic amplifier. minotaur can also be unlocked and used for combat (get minotaur cannon ofc), and from the air, a ship with hovering capabilities would work perfectly too.

"breach 1" - as in, "breach boundary" milestone from phase 1, "uses for elixir of blood", done in starter system; "breach two", the system in which you'll do the "breach two" milestone, from phase two, the first system after the "first breach" (in the expedition lore, get it?), which is "rendezvous 1" (as if it were a previous expedition,that was the term used, rendezvous, for each of the main systems) in the teleporter.

starter system isn't a rendezvous, iow - it's exactly just that, the starter system.

which is why temerifi shows as rdv1 in the teleporter

what does elixir of glass do on a normal save?

i have seen this reported before. i couldn't reproduce on pc with multiplayer disabled.

to be clear, i went to scrap dealer, bought coords for 5M, teleported back to starter system station because it's an easy layout there, and ran it (i had multiplayer disabled since i began the save, basically)

bones, storm crystals, buried mineral formations, buried caches, the bio and terrifying samples from other milestone rewards should help 🙂

I also found at least 2 crashed ships I was able to salvage to increase storage on my explorer I started with and gain some money that way. But yeah..the bones are my next method until I got the system where I could actually find an scrap sentinel ships. That is the quick way to get money.

For Abyssal Horrors, have your Boltcaster ready (or preferred Weapon) and blast them in the eye before they lock on to you. Like start shooting as soon as they start to lean in your direction!

Then grab the eye before it rolls away and or disappears.

For anyone that needs a good ship or one to scrap for money...
Rendezvous 3 system (Rocangh Station) on planet Rucand at coordinates +6.79,-162.90 there's an A-Class Sentinel ship for grabs. Turn your multiplayer off before you go there else it'll probably be gone already.

i would suggest disabling multiplayer in options/network settings, save, restart game. then try again. was able to do mine just perfect, no issues at all. used the emergency signal scanner in the starter system (went back yep, i had visited the station so was a teleport away), lots of lootables inside, only jellyfish as enemies, got secure credentials on the first log snippet (lucky me 😄 ), all went well basically. had multiplayer disabled as well/i suggested.

ah! that's what you meant, i figured it was either the qs shop part, or the exotic biome stabilized reality glitch decorations. you can get them on non-expedition modes too, and there's more besides those three types. also, as long as you've got one in your inventory, you can always build multiples using pure ferrite iirc, if you just don't back out completely of the build menu, after placing down the one you had in inventory. once done building as many as you want, collect one.

Storm Crystals can be obtained from extreme hazard planets. Extreme hazard planets have Activated <Stellar Metal> (e.g. Activated Copper) in their resource list.

Exception: Lush biome planets (Star Bulb on resource list) do not spawn Storm Crystals.

Land, and start looking for the nearest Storm Crystal spawn. They will be scattered across the landscape.

Storm Crystals can only be interacted with and harvested during an extreme storm, but are easy to spot, and the on foot visor can assist as well.

From the Pins in this channel: •For the ancient ruins milestone, you need the ruins that do NOT have treasures to dig up (i.e. monoliths).
Note that you can skip the signal booster and surge batteries, just buy alien site maps for nav data instead.
Buy 3 maps, spam them all open, then go to the markers for "Plaque" and "Ancient Ruin", interact at each, done.

If a map tells you you've already located that type, keep spamming it until it decides to choose a different one.

And, when you get to the site you can choose the option to learn more of the language. Two of those and you are done.

Ahhh, I did that once. You can try flying to another location (other side of planet or another planet) and use another Quicksilver potion to find a new portal.

well I think my expedition save is screwed. at the beginning you're given an advanced mining laser package. except I wasn't thinking and installed a normal one on my MT. unfortunately there's no way to uninstall it, and I can't fully construct it bc it requires Wiring Looms. and I see no buildings in sight, let alone one with a trade terminal. not that i have any money anyway

tips for taking them out:

1. paralysis mortar+primary of choice+3 s-class upgrades - approach a large spider, if there's any floaters around kite them away first (mine something nearby so that they'll go investigate, leaving you alone with the large spider), para mortar spider and keep it stunned, unload primary weapon fire
   bonus: also unlock and install voltaic amplifier from anomaly/MT research npc for +21% damage vs stunned entities
2. minotaur+minotaur cannon
3. from the air, especially if your current ship has hovering capabilities, for example using rocket launcher

"breach 1" - as in, "breach boundary" milestone from phase 1, "uses for elixir of blood", done in starter system; "breach two", the system in which you'll do the "breach two" milestone, from phase two, the first system after the "first breach" (in the expedition lore, get it?), which is "rendezvous 1" (as if it were a previous expedition,that was the term used, rendezvous, for each of the main systems) in the teleporter.

Exp 16 is the first expedition I've intentionally walked away from. I can't believe anyone finds that constant glitching effect and being attacked/harrassed on every planet to be fun. The though of trying the relaxing activity of fishing, which also being attacked... I just don't get it. Absolutely awful experience for me. It's not like I have room for another ship anyway.

Open 3 maps at once without going to any marked destinations. This forces the 3 to be different. If it says one is already open, keep spamming the open button until it chooses a different one.

From the Pins: •For the ancient ruins milestone, you need the ruins that do NOT have treasures to dig up (i.e. monoliths).
Note that you can skip the signal booster and surge batteries, just buy alien site maps for nav data instead.
Buy 3 maps, spam them all open, then go to the markers for "Plaque" and "Ancient Ruin", interact at each, done.

Idk if you solved this already but just use the coordinates to go to the correct breach. Then wait a little bit and select the mission again, and you can use the elixir on the same portal you came through. I had to do that with every breach, this expedition was extremely buggy.

Yep, you can buy it there for the 1,400 or claim it later. It will be available for purchase on any save you have as well as new ones at the Quicksilver vendor in the Anomaly.

The only benefit of claiming it now (from what I've heard) is that it comes with some extra tech installed.

I have seen recommendations to make sure Multiplayer is off. They also said the one in the starter system is pretty easy and BK201 said that one didn't have any issues on multiple saves.

Rendezvous 3 system (Rocangh Station) on planet Rucand at coordinates +6.79,-162.90 there's an A-Class Sentinel ship for grabs. Turn your multiplayer off before you go there else it'll probably be gone already.

I have one empty slot in Exo and one in Starship. If it's trying to give me extra stuff then it should say something like "Inventory Full, need X free Starship slots available". Also it just says Reward Boundary Starship and nothing else. I am doing a bug report now.

Am I softlocked? I'm in the phase 4 system (Rucand) and have a quest to scan 2 anomalous animals. However this system only has one anomalous planet with one species, and I don't have the space station warp to a system that has another anomalous planet, nor multiplayer (no Live Gold).

You can just hop from resonator to resonator (the big drills) and look for one. They tend to hang around them 1 in 3 times.
