Glyphs are always unlocked in the same order. Completing the main storyline is the easiest and most hassle-free way to do so, but the player may also obtain glyphs from Traveler graves.

A) Through the main storyline mission named The Purge: perform 16 warps in any direction, to any system (despite what the quest objective says). Wait for the game to register the last warp, then warp out again. Type !faq-artemispath in #bot-spam for a list of missions.

B) Find Travelers in inhabited star systems, and for 100 nanites, ask them where they came from.
This will add a HUD marker to a grave location on one of the planets in the system: follow it and interact with the grave to obtain the next glyph. Please note that if multiple travelers are found in the same location/system, it won't be possible to get markers for all their graves in one go, you need to get one grave at a time.

C) Through the Eliminate Hazardous Flora Nexus mission. It is strongly recommended to do this with multiplayer disabled. As part of the mission, the player is led to a grave. Once located, do not interact with it but instead build and claim a base computer near by, then return to the Space Anomaly by reloading restore point or using on-foot quick menu shortcut (if available). Nexus missions refresh every 10 minutes, so if the mission is still available (or another of the same type has been added with the last refresh), the process can be repeated again. Once done with finding graves, they can easily be reached through any teleporter.

Can't seem to make the second portal work. I located it just fine with the second elixir and then made an elixir of blood but the portal keeps asking of glyphs instead of doing what the first portal did. I'm doing something different this time, but I can't remember what.

Someone help me understand what I did correctly on the first portal, but am doing wrong on this second portal.

make sure you are crafting the blood elixir recipe specific to that portal; you want the milestone pinned, and check the glyph at the end of the recipe name. craft it right there at the portal and see if you get the different first choice that way

This is driving me nuts. You need the blood elixir from storm crystals to progress. You can't get storm crystals without a minotaur or a hazmat gauntlet. you get the gauntlet from getting ancient bones. There are no planets with ancient bones. So how do I unstuck?

I was in a similar situation, I eventually broke down and used my roamer to get and mine radiant shards, refined to nanites, and then used nanites to buy the techs for scanner on roamer. Its a pain but overall I think it was quicker than running around in minotaur trying to find them

I had a really hard time killing those corrupted quads without minotaur geobay even with upgraded pulse, they just get healed too quick. Minotaur bursts them down before they can get healed enough. I think it's the quickest path unless you farm upgrades

Instead, buy alien charts from space stations and use those to locate ruins.

The ruins you want are monolith type ruins or any other ruin with one of the monolith esc interactable.

you need some nav daata, I think 5 will be enough. then go to the cartograhper, you want "alien artifact site" maps, exchange for them (not random map). on the planet, spam three, do not visit any. if you get errors, spam through them until you get three different sites. one of those (check description of the marker) will be the plaque. go to that, then spam another map to get a new pointer for the same type... repeat until done

Had a miserable start to the expedition and this was from a save so I couldn't restart. 😦 It spawned me in an ocean on a tiny island with very little resources, and my ship was a terrible swim away on a small island with very little resources. Had to try to swim to islands off in the distance to get enough resources to fix my ship and died MANY times as I kept losing the protection since it took so long to swim around, probably added an hour or two to the first phase. 😢

Minor spoilers: In phase 3, where you have to hunt Hungering Tendrils, ||you are NOT soft-locked there if you didn't get stations/bases/portal coords from the previous two systems. Your HUD will LIE and say no appropriate infested planets are in the system, but two of the planets in the system are infested anyway, even though they are not marked as such from orbit. Once you land on one of these planets and use your visor, it will start finding the titan worm burrows.||

Corrupted quads can also be killed by a single direct hit from your starship's rocket launcher. If you then fly in a wide circle, they'll often spawn another one in the same spot.

Flee to space every once in a while to lose the interceptors and it's not too bad, but yeah, it's not my favorite expedition goal.
