That's not the value of one fish, that's the total value of all the fish you sell that's needed

Although unless they've changed it in the current experimental patch, if you're intending to make money from fish then you want to cook most of them: assume a raw fish is worth -40% to -50% of the stated value, while the result of cooking them is generally around the 30k mark, with local markets increasing or decreasing it by up to 5 percent

Yeah, as long as you're on the right planet, you've collected the final milestone message in a bottle, and you haven't got the milestone for it, you roll to get the Angler whenever you fish. Think it has somewhat higher chances than usual for a S rank fish, too

They're usually only worth 3/5ths or 1/2 of the listed value; just take a bunch of fish, put them in your ship so that they're the only things in its inventory, and head to the local trade post or space station, and see for yourself

Besides, even without that, I think the highest value fish are worth 100k before local price modifiers, and you need 5 times that for the "sell fish" milestone

yes; did you see if there was a base you could report? (not suggesting you actually report it, but if you checked via the quick menu, it would show if there was a base in the area)

Explicitly found a small island away from everyones bases, 2nd or 3rd spot. No one else near me, no players near me, just went down to 70u down, base told me no.

Even did a complete scan, the proximity of any base near me was well 1000u.

Travel to a blue system, the indium planets always have severe storms. But you’ll need the indium drive.

Just RNG. Larger fish are more likely to be caught in 50u+ depth. Smaller fish in less than 50u. Night/daylight/storm can only be caught during those times. But other than that: RNG.

while doing the other milestones, you might get one along the way (enough fish to sell raw for 500k, 100 fish, 3 fish only active in storms, etc). if not, then you can craft a bait that increases rarity, spicy chum is not bad for that and is relatively cheap to craft. the ideal is bionic lure but that requires lubricant which is a whole ordeal if you're just doing it for this one milestone, given you might need 20 or more bait to get the fish

which is one "batch" of the bionic lure, needing 3 lubricant

No, but I always have the right milestone selected. It doesn't do the angler messages out of order. The first angler message you get goes to the first and so on. That's what happened on my first PS4 run through that is.

fish a lot with good bait. if you can make bionic lures, great, otherwise spicy chum is rather more accessible. and be patient. (best to do that milestone while you are doing others and hope you catch one organically, so to speak)

hey! just a question. I started the expedition on a new save, is there any way to transfer the exosuit and starship upgrade modules to my main save? Upon completing the expedition, I could only redeem the cosmetics and etc

no, you really can't, unless you have a friend you can package the modules for and hand them, then get the friend to gvie them back to your main save. this would mean losing them for good from the new expd save though

what you can do when you start an expedition from an existing save, is send over up to 8 tech and 24 other. you can package them and send up to 8 upgrades back

but all nanites transfer over too, so maybe you get enough nanites to just buy more stuff

Like the other Angler message in a bottle ones, it seems to me that the odds of getting the Angler Fish in Scales of Fire are greatly uncreased by one or more of 1) fishing at the R5 fishing spot (Cayett Major), 2) having the Scales of Fire milestone selected and possibly 3) NOT equipping bait.
