go to the space stations anyway and when you go to the teleporter you will find bases other people have created and some of them list them as rendevous 1 or 2 or 3 etc next to the base name

if you want to find an interceptor you can blast a part a sentinel freighter to get a localisator who lead you to dissonant planet with interceptor location or you can do mission at nexus to the localisator as reward

you can redo it at the end of the year, not sure when exactly but all expeditions from the year will become availeable once again at the end of the year, but on older expeditions then that as far as i know you are out of luck

its how i played utopia, and its much more gratifying that using a save editor to get the expedition items

In galaxy map, make sure you have expedition selected on destination and warp there, requires several warps, so make sure to get the warp engine fuel

hard to explain, if your really new in this game i would recommend you: play the first 10 to 20 hours of the tutorial so you get a feeling of the basic stuff in this game, after that head in the expeds
an exped will give you a new start (so like you started a new load) but instead of an tutorial which goes in to a story you got these so called milestones which are your quest, which normally starts with "get your starship ready" and goes to specific stuff you need to find and do
and there is always a theme which correspondents often to the update

what? the automated fisher has 4 slots, each fish can go from 1-stack (legendary) to ~12-stack (common). since common are more... common, you'll likely have 3 commons in there, makes 36 fish in one automated trap

One piece of advice if you are doing the expedition from your main save, save the exosuit inventory upgrades instead of using them then transfer them back at the end of the expedition. You’ll need them for fish.

Are you playing through the expedition console?
If so, you could always make a copy of your main save's ship and, assuming it has engine upgrades, use it to easily visit a green star, which will be more likely to have an extreme storm planet.

Yeah, if you're good at making them & already did so during the expedition, it should be a snap to copy your ship & get to an extreme weather star.
Alternatively, as someone mentioned earlier, there's a planet in one of the expedition rendevous systems that has activated copper, which means it's an extreme weather planet on a neutral colored star.
You could always just use the teleporters on a space station to go look through the rendevous systems for that planet, instead.
Whichever's easier for ya.

Like imagine the end of one is a room with a treasure chest, but it turns out to be a mimic creature, & if you kill it, you get a mimic egg to drop which you can hatch.

But to get into the room, you have to explore the ruins to find the ancient keys we're used to digging up.

They could even make the ruins look unique based on the dominant species of whatever system it's in.
A Korvax ruin would def have an ancient tech feel, & I imagine a Vy'Keen dungeion would feel like an aztec temple or a pyramid honoring their fallen brothers.

They could even make dungeons out of the Sentinel Pillars. I always felt those had untapped potential.

these items are location-based, meaning that with some retries you can place the container such that it will always give a gek relic for example, but that's the best you can do to control the contents

There are 2 things you need to keep in mind (I didn't know this until I was told)

For fish to spawn the indicator must say Extreme Storm, otherwise they won't (my biggest mistake)

I recommend using Magpulse bait, it is not expensive to make and it is practically guaranteed that you will have storm fish.

Besides NMS, I also play Diablo 4 frequently. They have auto-sort of inventory. Just a tap on the thumbstick sorts bags and stashes. Muscle memory makes me click the thumbstick in NMS as well and leaving me wondered why it doesn't work 😂
