Ypu can also catch uncommon with no bait. Try using a better cooked bait for 20 or so catches and then using spicy chum for 20

Ferrite and carbon are so easy to farm. As soon as you're airborne, start blasting the planet surface for large hauls of it.

Best is to use bait which attracts fish which love storms. I discovered that stewed organs are good for that and with this bait you should fish during a storm to increase the chances even more. Best place to do this mission is going to an extreme weather planet because storms are way more common there.

Another tip: If you feel like you're done. Take a break, like Gleam said and come back a day or so later. You have plenty of time to finish this 😉

Are all phases of an expedition completable from launch or do I have to wait until the community reaches certain thresholds?

I've been playing NMS since before expeditions existed but never actually completed one until Liquidators and only completed it with 1-2 weeks left, so I've no clue how it all works and don't want to start an expedition if I can't do it all in one sitting.

I'm kinda sad. Took my time, just did a few hours a day of the Expedition and finished it today. Wasn't a long one, but relaxing. I think the hardest part for me was finding a scorching planet. When I did I was able to finish 4 objectives at the same spot.

Separate save, no, the QS itself won't transfer. However, any blueprint you unlock will be.

So spend it all on cosmetics and blueprints (NOT consumables). When you log back into your main save, they can be claimed without buying again. Most QS unlocks are account wide
