My guy, it's gonna be fine. Look, you can move a technology item from your main save to the expedition. I can't see why you won't be able to finish this expedition within the 3 or 4 weeks we have left with it. You can put it in, then take back the tech after you reinsert it in the transfer box on the anomaly. You'll be fine. Besides, you can just buy one with the nanites you get in the expedition just to trash later.

To make it easier on yourself. Go to the RD5 space station and see if you can find an uploaded Sentinel pillar base. You can shut the Sentinels down from its terminal and scan in peace.

You can package tech and send it back, along with whatever inventory you want to keep (some things won't be allowed though). Using the same terminal you used when you started.

Units/nanites/QS automatically gets merged into your primary when you return.

After you finish expedition, you can do story just like normal

The other way if you want to feel the beginner struggle, would be to start a new normal save, play as if we didn't have an expedition right now, and after you get to the anomaly, start the expedition from there. After you finish the expedition you would only get a few rewards and you would still be mostly poor and undergeared on your main save. 😂

You can go back and forth between the two whenever you want anyways, so if I am wrong on that end and things get dicey, you can always go back and do it on a different save.

As in, go back from the expedition bit to your perma save. You get access to the anomaly pretty soon, and you use the console to go back and forth.

Yes, you can claim it without transferring. All phase rewards are unlocked across the whole account. Visit the Quicksilver merchant and select "expedition rewards".

You have to claim it in the expedition, after that when you end the expedition it will be available to unlock at the Quicksilver vendor on every other save you have, or you create for that account. Same deal with every other phase reward and final reward for the expedition, the ship.

Using your current save to start the expedition is a brand new thing, fyi. Introduced this update.

Prior to Omega, you had to start a fresh save for each expedition and the QS merchant was how you imported the rewards on your main.

if you like what you see, accept it
if you don't, back out and try again
you don't need to reload, it will reroll the staff each time you look
when you find a config you like, go to a space station and upgrade it
if you like what you see, great
if you don't, reload from your restore point.

i just rerolled it 50+ times (many times per minute) until I got an L slot config
then i upgraded it to S
first few times i didn't get the box slot arrangement

it's drastically easier than trying to get an S-class freighter

if you don't like it, you can restore from the restore point and start over

my first try was an L, as in 3 in a row and one over. Took five minutes.
if all you want is a 3-slot L A-class, 2 in a row and one over, and you don't care about the other slot, you can get this very easily
it's not much harder than just taking the first one you see

No, not companions and freighters AFAIK. For Ships and Multi-tools you can transfer your ACTIVE ship and MT via the kiosk at a cost of nanites.

You transfer whatever you can into you main save, and that's it. You end with your previous save but with extra items from the expedition.

But the character progression, tech unlocks and so on, should be the ones from your old save, not the expedition ones

That's why i suggested for him to start a new save directly on the expedition. Because the overall progression of a finished expedition save is a lot more than a normal save on the "just got to the anomaly" progression point.

God man did everyone here not listening to what the hg said if you play on your main save and use the anomaly to start the expedition after the expedition ends the expedition will disappear for that save and you will go back to the main save you started the expedition on all that terminal does is allow you to play a expedition on a save you already have it stages a fake save on top of your main then deletes it after the expedition is over and you go back to the save you started the expedition on

you can teleport to any base computer and your ship will come with you
