Very excited about this expedition redux because I love all the Autophage stuff

Although I need to do the maintenance tasks in my regular save first (see to fleet missions and my settlement, etc.).

It looks like construct hands might be one of the rewards for this expedition? That’s good since in my main game I’m an Autophage and they might look better than the hands I’m using currently.

I’m glad the starting ship for this expedition is a solar sailer and not a hauler like the last one, because that thing was torture to try and fly around.

Man sometimes I have such a hard time finding quest markers amidst all the little beacons placed on the compass. Went off planet in phase 1 to find a signal, landed exactly where it said, it told me I needed to scan from space, went back up with the last of my fuel, scanned and found it (where I first landed) and it won't acknowledge that I'm there

played ~14 hours nonstop!!
thought am on a good way, but i was too slow because am just not used to games with missions etc. (there was a freighter with a heat problem. is that part of expedtion? why did sentinels didnt let go for 1 hour.. .D)

finished phase 3 or even 4 - its all a blur rn.
am not proud of the most ugly huts i placed, but dang i named a cool magma ball on ukinfor!! totally worth it!

Great! Some players sell/use the Sentinel parts that are given from milestones, not realizing they're needed for blueprints.

It's usually a good general expedition rule to keep any items you get from milestones, as some are needed later on.

||It's the very last milestone you do, at the end. Basically, make a restore save at the Anomaly, then make the choice. Wait for the milestone completion notification to trigger. Then immediately reload your restore save and make the other choice. Then both helms should be available immediately at the QS vendor.||

i'm doing the singularity expedition redux, and used a crystallized heart i had on a multi-tool slot. now i need one to craft one of the items and i'm trying to spawn the spiders that drop them at the corrupted mining machines. but i can't seem to get more corrupted sentinels to arrive, only the regular ones after i kill the few corrupted ones that guard the mining machine. how do i get to the point where the spiders that drop the crystallized heart show up?

Auto save and manual saves are different. Auto saves happen at random and can be helpful if there's a glitch

When you boot up your save you'll pretty much start at the auto save, even if it happened while flying in space. However, if you go into the options tab you'll see "restore point" which will take you to your manual save.

It's very worthwhile to have the portable save point with you because you can manual save whenever you want

I had double fun starting this expedition. On my first go I got stuck under the map and had to restart. On the restart I was put in a crater that was so deep that even using unlimited jetpack against the wall I barely made it out. Held jump for what felt like forever and even then barely made it out. By the time I got to the point where the wall was starting to transition away from directly vertical I was getting a 5% suit power warning. Was just down to about a 70 degree slope when power died letting me land without sliding back down.

You just have to start a new save file. Apart from the upgrades, the cosmetic rewards are all available on your main after the expedition end and is converted to a normal save

Same way as any other planetary resource, look through Visor and tag the nearest Shard icon

So do a scan first? Like how you would find sodium and oxygen? Or? Only thing I ever really use the visor for is to find things like copper and salvage data. I used the visor and didn't see any shard icons or anything so not really sure what to look for or if I'm doing it right.

I don't think it marks that camp on your map. Shouldn't need to go back to it. If you need cobalt find a cave or sometimes trade terminals have cobalt.

I haven’t played the expo redux but if you are unable to buy it from the anomaly, check to see if a later or previous milestone rewards the blueprint.

I believe it was a blueprint rewarded to you on the original singularity Expo.

I and others were also frustrated that HG decided to keep this mechanic in the redux also. It was bad enough waiting the 1st time on a month long expedition.

That might explain why it's going faster, if the daily limit is massively different.

No no, as in you pick one for that expedition run then you have to make another expo save to get the other, there is a save and reload exploit to get both but not everyone knows it.

you can take them - scrap them at the anomaly or fix up a few slots to make them usable for example. do not use your crystalized heart nor sell that quad servo. i basically completed exp with the starter tool, some slots, and the neutron cannon setup rewarded by other milestones
