expedition phase and final rewards are unlocked account wide; this means that every save you have, present or future, can goto the anomaly quicksilver shop, and claim those rewards for free. that said, when an expedition ends (or you've completed it before that happens), the exp save will convert to a normal mode save, which the player could continue playing, keeping all progress so far

If you bought an upgrade you will get a thing in your log to install it, yes, but I'm pretty sure you don't actually have to, just check your log and select whatever it was you were doing (and check the expedition tab to see if what you were doing completed)

best if you just exchange friend codes with someone, and then that player joins your game to drop you some. buried caches (which you can find with your visor) sometimes drop cadmium and emeril, which can be refined to chromatic metal too)

First time I'm doing an expedition on Switch. The most recent patch upgraded the graphics and it's actually quite good now. Not by far as smooth and clean as on PS5, but absolutely doable.
And getting the Utopia Speeder on my Switch NMS is nice too.
Rounded up phase 1 and 2 in a short session today. Will get the rest done tomorrow.

The non-Fighter ships are actually all Fighters, in terms of bonus rolls - that means a Hauler-looking one has the sluggishness of the Hauler and the glassy shields of a Fighter. XD

But an Explorer with Fighter Damage and Range is rather fun - you can still upgrade to over 2k LY range on no bonus whatsoever

Nope. If you load an expedition save after it's running time has elapsed, it immediately auto converts to a normal save and the expedition tab is removed.

Soooo, every time I take off from the first rendezvous point my ship just fly's straight up and then says there's no launch fuel (which I just filled). Is this a known bug in the expedition or am I just lucky?

Something like that happened to me but after waiting a bit it resolved itself and I was able to take off normally.

it's kinda short in terms of time, you could do this expedition until the final phase in about one day

Ye I tried restore point and closing/opening but nothing, I ended up having to run 1500u away and summoning my ship. For whatever reason it seemed to act like there was a roof on the rendezvous point and my launch fuel would go to zero. Weird one, fixed now though 😋

Yup! After you finish the expedition, go to the Quicksilver merchant on your main save. You can claim all rewards for expeditions you've done there.

nah, each expedition that goes live, we have to make a new save for that one, we can't use previous saves, period 🙂

phase 1 milestone 2 "provisions" and phase 1 milestone 5 will get you to your ship; note that you can, on the way complete several other milestones, even from different phases, like the adopt companion one you just got yeah. very easy one. as you can see, some milestones can still be completed even if they're in phases ahead, but some require specific planets for example.

@ashen shore of course, now that i want to make a screenshot, it actually has reset. maybe i needed to delete the save, close the game, reopen it, start a new save.

Ok I just tested this because I was curious. I completed the expedition already, so I created a new save file and it starts me back at square one for that file. So the answer is yes, if your current save file is screwy and you want to reset, you can make a new one and the progress won't carry over. Or if you just want to replay the whole thing also
