and that's where the mission fetches its value

by scanning more and more toxic world animals, you only move the goal value further away

Ok. So I found a planet that worked for the "Unwelcome" challenge. It's in Euclid. You can just use space anomaly portal to one of the featured bases in that galaxy. For whatever reason, the planet that was pinned to this channel, only got me to 79%. So if anyone else is struggling, I've got something that may help.

the tracking takes max ph instead of min. so if the first is too high, it gets stuck high

Avoid scanning any creature on a toxic planet till you get to Rendezvous 3 to help reduce the potential for the bug. When you're in the Rdv 3, then head to the toxic planet there to find the creature to scan for that milestone

There's a unforeseen behavior with Corrosive Blood milestone where, if the player first scans a higher "corrosive blood" value, higher than what the milestone needs, the catalog will record that (because it records the maximum value, not the lowest - which is what the milestone wants, lower than), and prevent the milestone from completing, when the player does eventually find a animal that does satisfy the milestone requirements
Likely Workaround:
The player should not scan any creatures on toxic biome till they reach the Rendezvous 3 system.
If they complete this milestone in the Rendezvous 3 system, there's only one planet that that fits.
There's at least 1 fauna there that immediately completes the milestone once scanned.

Not that i know of, i spent a couple hours warping from system to system last night scanning every creature on all toxic planets and nothing registered. You would think after 15 planets scanned, at least 1 would be the correct creature to register.

There is currently a bug with the Corrosive Blood milestone in Phase 2 of the Voyagers Expediton!
It fails to register recorded creatures with a blood pH under 2.5 when you already have a creature recorded with a pH higher than this. The game is actually correctly trying to check for a lower value, while the nature of the game's records is to find the 'highest' value. This prevents any 'low value' records from being registered.

The below workaround is not possible if you already have a creature recorded with a pH higher than 2.5!

Do not scan any creatures until you get to the Rendezvous 3 system Gurobe-Saco, toxic planet Batan 36/R3.

It has to be deep enough to swim, so try a bigger puddle.

It took about 7 hours, but honestly this is probably my least favorite expedition, even without the bug. It just felt lackluster. You can grab RV3 coordinates from the channel pins. On a space station, you should be able to teleport to a portal base someone marked (there are loads marked all throughout the expedition).

There's quite a few on there where people have made a base beside an underwater structure. I then used a "SIGNAL BOOSTER" to locate the ruin that was close by. That's how I found mine.

@ashen shore Not sure why it will not work for you. The High-Power Sonar (not the Exocraft Signal Booster) is what needs to be installed in the Nautilon. The quick menu then allows to scan for a submerged ruin, which should locate it. Then you just need to find the chests once you arrive.

Singularity was my first expedition. At first, I hated the grind of a new save, which I'm still not too crazy about. But Singularity eventually won me over, and I learned to appreciate expeditions because of the way Singularity was tied to an overarching story. None of that is here with Voyagers, which is nothing short of a painful slog through drying cement. I hope this isn't the new normal for expeditions, because if it is, no amount of "completionism" will make me masochistic enough to give them a go.

Meh. Did the whole trench run thing. It was fun I guess. But it still didn't distract me from the lackluster space combat, which is arguably the least impressive aspect of NMS.

So far the only space combat I've actually enjoyed in NMS has been pillaging freighters.

if you're willing to start over, I made a massive base in the starting system and uploaded it; it has 11,000 copper (if the storage is full) and a bunch of plants and other things

Gamers, how do I find the aggressive animal for the voyage? I spent all of yesterday searching, picking 2 systems clean, and I am still 9 pav short of the 27.5pav goal.
Is there a planet type I could look out for? A system type with more aggro animals? At this rate it'll grab a portal trip to some random planet just to find this accursed beast if you know where one is, because I'm sick of this.

I tend to not use portal glyphs in expeditions. In a normal expo, you "should" be able to find everything along the path. And trying to find a portal if I don't have to is a pain.

You should... But it's easy to veer off the path. Glyph's are almost a necessity for this one if you wanna finish it in under 10 hours unless you know when and where you're looking for things.

honest advice? No need. You don't realise how little you need lots until you have lots and can't spend any of it because there's nothing to spend it on.

at the beginning though, upgrading your scanners is a good way to get money
