You can, if you get lucky, get those and other stuff like walker brains from the autophage thingies. Sure, usually they will only have pugneum and stuff.

But once in a while they can smack you in the face with 10 quad servos or even walker brains

Well there are 3 main ways. Guess I'll spoiler it...?

1. ||The harmonic camps you mentioned. See, you can get them with Echo Locators which in turn you can get from the big corrupted mirror tower thingies (name slipped my mind). For those you will want to disable the planetary sentinels on a corrupted world, get in your ship, and start... rather violently farming those echo locators. Then use them. You will likely want to eventually switch systems/planets so it doesn't point you to old camps/ships||
2. ||Simply go to your planet of choice, kill all corrupted sentinel forces on foot, get an immediate free scan. To actually farm this naturally you will want a good ground weapon.||
3. ||Simply go to your system of choice and destroy sentinel capital ships in space combat. You get an item (AI Dreadnaught Fragment I think?) you can use to scan for a ship directly.||

For all the harsh farming the game usually makes us do... I just... yeah. Checked out multi-tools at one of the vanilla normal space stations, and casually got a full slot S rifle. Stuffed my neutron cannon in there, used the supercharged slots and... yeah. It's a little more efficient than the boltcaster.

The configuration isn't perfect, but this happens with all 4 upgrades (the buildable 1 and 2 others) in the supercharged slots, and the main weapon in between two of those supercharged slots. It's... a little dumb. The think two-shots the big spidey corrupted mechs

i lucked out on expedition that the starting spot had a class A that just needed some broken slots cleaned up. it's served me well

and when i say served me well.. corrupted sentinels die in 1 hit

Pretty much all of the other multi-tools I got were... meh. Which is a bit of shame since I'd rather use one of the nice looking sentinel tools. And while that tool above is peak pain... it's ugly lol

I did try to get an S class ship, no dice. I also tried to get an S freighter, settled with an A for now.

At least with the mod migration now it's no pain to invest in one thing and then switch eventually

i contributed about 20 echo seeds.

i feel it's harder now to get the Echo Seeds. they now only spawn like 1 of those Sentience Echos.
And half the time, the planet im on, they have those worm babies guarding the Sentience Echos.
