I found the base marker phew. But it's super annoying I can't craft at the ship.

I hate the base controls since they changed them as it is. So it's annoying this expedition is based on bases. Playing with a 360 controller just makes the base controls worse. I'm constantly deleting pieces that went in the wrong place multiple times. And that's forcing me to farm extra mats.

You’ll want it off, way smoother, and keep in mind you’ll need to turn all the base permissions and pvp off again when you start so no one’s messing with ur base you have to upload

I just finished. Yeah, it looks like the fireworks didn’t carry over as I thought. They didn’t count as an award to carry over. It’s a shame, they looked exclusive and unique, but I ended up selling them because I needed room.

Expedition 9: Utopia
Some important tips

Phase 1:

1. We start the expedition on a Paradise planet, no sentinel, no hazard.

2. We do not have access to Visor. Don’t worry about it, we have access to base computer. Build the base computer and drop 4 base parts. This will complete Milestone 1 of Phase 1 and unlock Visor.

Persistence after death in Leviathan

Bases created by you remain, including freighter base, but no contents in containers, nor any other inventory; if you build bases on each anchor world you can go there from the first space station and save a lot of travel and warp fuel.

The partners in time milestone remains, when you go to Polo the first time after the reset you get this again.

You will automatically get the Iterate/Repeat milestone shortly after spawning in.

Any discoveries you made or animals you scanned stay scanned, so you get secondary minerals automatically, and if you scanned all fauna you can get the nanites again.

How's everyones expedition going? I finished mine on the first day but it was a bit of a pain since the game crashed while I was on phase 5 and for some reason put me back all the way to the end of phase 1. Word of advice is to carry a save point and drop it after any major accomplishments

How do I escape sentinel combat? I just started on the 3rd planet and hopped into my ship to move it, which pissed off the sentinels. I can't land, I keep shooting them down but more keep coming. I can't outrun them, pulse drive doesn't help. It's been a while since I played but I'm sure I remember being able to land and hide, or just outrun things. I really don't want to have to go back to my last save point.

note that somewhere in phase 2 (?) you get the solar panel and battery blueprints alllowing you to go back and put a teleport module with power in at your first (and second) bases, so you can jet back to the first planet in the blink of an eye for more resources when needed.

A restart of PC and turning off all mods + any other external software like ReShade resolved the crashing issues for me.

Could be the same for you too, if you’re on PC.

ok what's wrong. I keep starting a new game, expedition, on pc/steam, and it starts out in the loading screen where you're flying through the stars, and after a minute or 2 it just closes. No crash/error message or anything. Game just exits without actually starting the expedition.

I experienced something similar like that on Xbox Series X yesterday It was only once. When I went to make a screenshot and clicked on the Xbox guide where we gotta click an option for the screenshot. I haven't played enough to experience other crashes. But my assumption is that 4.1 are causing new crashes across all platforms. Doc has also experienced them on PS5.

Was just about to make a comment about planet 3 as well....just got blasted into oblivion by the sentinels. Forgot you can't land while engaged in battle. Just got blown up, lost everything. Knew I should have taken tbe time to go find the pillar and shut them off....it's location is even pinned! Won't make that mistake again. Assuming I can even find where I died and retrieve everything that is. Don't want to start over.
