then I apply my blueprints, and hop stations to find the rest of the upgrades

idk if this will work for everyone, but basically when you warp in and the fight begins let the pirates shoot you a bit THEN go to the station and save. this should clear out the pirates when you reload the save and it saves SO much time

If you build a base at a Trading Post and add 3 Landing Pads (1 for your ship, 2 empty), 6 NPC ships can land per wave, so save scumming is 50% more effective than at a Space Station.

they are unlocked during the main story, or from traveler graves

A hauler with a long body often has more storage as well.

Larger engines on the wings are often factors, you’ll notice this as you inspect haulers over time.

The tentacles are telescopic, and fold when landed. To better see the accent colour on tip of the tentacles, it's best to view the ship during flight.

I asked in #nms-questions but I'm trying to figure out which system I got this ship from so I can share the coords, I have 19 in my warp list and I can at least narrow down to non pirate systems. Any other ways I can narrow it down and find it faster?

That's a tough one... unless it's previously documented, you just have to wait around trading posts till the system exotic shows up. Not a fun process xD

I'm not sure if theres one per system or not. I know there's one in every opulent/strong economy system.

I think it's got the same colors, the shade of blue for mine might be lighter, but idk what the slots on the other one is. Mine is 19+6+5 which I think is pretty good for the class

Q Ball Gaming just posted a vid on where to find each color squid ship so you can just use that vid instead of having to go find that one

At least, I think it's for every color. I didn't watch it, but it shows that in his thumbnail. Maybe it's just locations in general. Not sure tbh.
