Remember easiest way for class is to finish the battle, land on the space station, exit for an autosave.
Because it won't autosave on that freighter you saved from the pirates, you can then land on it, scan it and reload if its not the Class you desire.

T3 economies have better chances of ships spawning in higher classes, so if you're looking for S class specifically, that's where you want to be.

Well, I wasn't just waiting. Once a wave came and I had seen everything, I would leave the planet and come back to the outpost to force a new wave to spawn. Worked pretty well, might to it some more to get the solar ship that's in that system since it has a really cool design.

when out of the portal go too coords i said.. -40.12 +175.87 when you are there ( should be a crashed site ) exit your starship and if it's not there just reload your autosave .. after a couple of times if it's not there go to a trade post or space station if you can't find there either go back to that place , do again and if still not come back at another hour or day .. still unclear too about spawning time of ships

I think it’s the Golden Vector and it was a reward from the 1st expedition only. I’ve seen comments that it’s possible to get it via some exploits or something but afaik it cannot be obtained legitimately anymore
